Summary
The problem was this: Kepler wanted to be a part of Jacobi’s life. To be a part of it, yes, but not to own it.
“You’re not my commanding officer anymore, Warren,” Jacobi said when he came home. It was late and he was drunk, but not quite as late, not quite as drunk as he would’ve been once upon a time. “You’re not even my… You’re just my flatmate.”
Yeah. Yeah, okay.
AKA I don't like the "death as redemption" trope, so I decided Kepler needs to live with his mistakes.

Summary
Fireworks. That was how it felt when their fingers brushed. Jacobi had spent so much of the past year scolding his racing heart; he’s your boss for god’s sake (no, don’t think about how hot that is, behave, Daniel). It couldn’t work out, and he shouldn’t try. But after tonight…Jacobi may not have had a lot of relationship success in the past, but there was no way he was mistaking the way Kepler looked at him.
They had watched the fireworks on the hood of Kepler’s car, the weather just cold enough so that Jacobi could exaggerate a shiver and huddle up next to him. And Kepler had said 'rule number eight' for what must’ve been the tenth time that night, but he wrapped a warm arm around Jacobi all the same.
AKA Kepler takes Jacobi home after their fireworks anniversary.

Summary
The second time Spock saw the strange alternate version of his captain was much different than the first. The first time, his arrival had been an accident, a serious upset in the order of things, bringing with him values of peace and collaboration that were as foreign to the Empire as he himself was, with his soft, unscarred body and his look of surprise upon seeing Spock’s bearded face.
The second time, he was a tourist.AKA: shameless Kirk sandwich

Summary
ABSTRACT
Romulans and Vulcans are ostensibly separate species, despite their populations only diverging 2000 years (about 10 Vulcanoid generations) ago. How they speciated so quickly is an ongoing mystery to evolutionary biologists. This article summarizes popular theories for this phenomenon: eugenics, a bottleneck event, the founder effect, a time anomaly, and hybridization. Though the final two theories are not supported by much evidence, they explain the extreme speed speciation in a way that the other, more common theories do not. Ultimately, we can make no further progress on proving or disproving any of these theories until we have the cooperation of the Romulan government.

You want him because of the way his shirt pulls across his chest and the way you think his stubble would scrape if he bit your neck. You want him because he hates you, and you know it. It’s perfect. He hates you, and yet he needs you, and you need him. Reciprocity.
AKA a little stream of consciousness supplement to my other fic The Masochism Tango. A sort of hypothetical Reamer's POV on the first time that was only referenced in that fic

Summary
Spock looked up and met his eyes. The look in them was familiar to him— a hint of vulnerability, but not uncertainty. Spock knew well what his lover would ask for, but he could not presume in matters such as this. There were other things that they often did to unwind after a hard day— chess, sparring, and more— but not at this time of night, and not when the look in Kirk’s eyes was just so.
Kirk bent and pressed a kiss to Spock’s temple, shooting him a small, abashed smile— still self-conscious about this need even after all this time— before slowly, beautifully sinking to his knees.
And there it was, the request.

Summary
'And yet, with his mind slowly putting itself back together piece by piece, he remembered what it was like to be afraid, and he knew that this was not the only truth he needed to remember. He began to wonder whether the incompleteness he felt was truly due to his missing memories, or if Spock, whoever that man was, was someone who had merely felt incomplete his entire life.'
AKA: After coming back to life and regaining his memories, Spock struggles with rediscovering who he is and how he fits in with his family and culture. He decides to use katric arks to connect with his ancestors and figure out what it means to him to be Vulcan.

That night, Helian Yi lay alone in his bedroom and filled a bronze bowl with bloody flowers. In the dim darkness, a moth was captured in the lantern by his bedside.
His chest rattled as it rose and fell, and for the first time, Helian Yi considered how it would feel if this really killed him.

Reamer pulled Ky’s face to his by a hand on the back of his neck and bared his teeth with a hiss. “Hit me. Tell me what to do. Tell me I’m worthless, Cedoc. Put me in my fucking place.”
“Are you sure?” He couldn’t deny that something in the request sent warm shivers down his spine.
“If I want you to stop, I’ll tell you.” He paused, then, as if grasping at one last thread of dominance before giving it up, he added, “Don’t disappoint me.”
AKA Fulfilling Reamer's canon degradation kink with added character angst on top.

The missing scene of what happened when Will tried to cross the Atlantic alone in a sailboat because I simply refuse to believe that just went smoothly. That scene broke my suspension of disbelief so hard that I couldn't sleep and I spent the whole morning writing this.
