Summary
Wyll had spent years tracking monsters, learning to read the land and the signs they left behind. He had hunted ghouls lurking on moonlit roads, their sunken eyes gleaming with insatiable hunger.
Vampires, though... He had never faced one but knew the telltale signs: aversion to sunlight, supernatural grace that was both terrifying and mesmerizing, and an ever-present thirst for blood lurking just beneath the surface.
Yet, Wyll had seen Astarion in the sunlight, his pale skin catching the day's warmth without discomfort. He stood among them as if the sun were just another element of his world, no singe, no blistering pain, not even a wince. That alone should have shattered Wyll's suspicions; a vampire could not stand in the sun. And yet, something about Astarion's presence gnawed at him, an unease that deepened the more he observed.

Surely the only solution is to declare an INSANE SECRET WAR on him before he can ruin the MIDWINTER'S EVE BALL. This cannot possibly backfire.

Summary
At night, alone in his bedroll, Astarion’s mind wanders. Away from himself, his body, his own recursive and increasingly irritating patterns of thought—it wanders and it wanders until it, eventually, ends up back where it started. Astarion on his knees, entertaining someone else.
He has spent two hundred years fantasizing about freedom—ludicrous dreams, where he is fed, where he is warm, where he parts Cazador’s head from his neck with his fangs—the stupidest, most basic, crudest ideas of what he might do if only he had the power to control himself. And now that he has that control, he fantasizes about someone taking it away again.
Specifically, he fantasizes about Wyll.
For some time, now, Astarion has fantasized about Wyll Ravengard putting him in his place. This isn't a problem, until suddenly it is.
