“Is she having a problem with it?” he asks. There’s a lot of problems someone could have with that house, though not many you would only notice after twelve years. “Did my dad forget to tell you about all his bootleg DVDs?”
It’s a genuine question, but Silas laughs. “Nothing like that, kid, don’t worry,” he says, which makes Glenn wonder what actually happened to all those DVDs when Bill left. “Nah, it’s just — she’s moving out soon. Wants to be with her mom, back east. But, uh, she found some things she thought you might want to take a look at. See if they were your dad’s, and if you wanted to keep it in the family, so to speak.”
“Oh,” Glenn says.
Or, Glenn and Nick visit Bill's old house.

Summary
"I'm so, so, so sorry," he says miserably. "I don't know what happened. I’ll pay you back, I promise."
What happened is that Cultist Henry has ruined Bill's microwave. What really happened is that somehow, maybe via sweaty hippie tent magic or an arcane masculine camping ritual, Glenn's bond with this guy has been cemented. He’s broken a household appliance, eaten Glenn’s food, and owes him money. This is no longer a near-stranger; they've become roommates.

Summary
Life did not get easier once the doodler was released. Henry tried to find moments of peace where he could, but for Glenn, the apocalypse was a great excuse to avoid thinking about himself too much. Everything was totally fine, until suddenly it wasn’t.

Summary
"Darryl," he said. "My friend. I – he – I know I wouldn't have held myself together if not for him. I don't know if any of us could have." He'd been put off by Darryl's energy from the start, his determination to take charge, bring the situation under control, carry them all on his back if he had to – and yet, could Henry ever have carried himself through that, let alone anyone else? "I'm sure you could see it already, even just today. He's one of the strongest people I’ve ever met; he got us all through this and he still had room to really care about us. He’s the best dad” – He nearly choked up at those words, but this potential for joy didn’t deserve to be tainted with guilt. “I know I never cared much for him before, but I fell in love with him out there, Mercedes.”
"I can see it," she said, and kissed the corner of his mouth. "You're radiant with it. I haven't seen you in new love in years."
Upon their return from the Forgotten Realms, Henry and Darryl each have a lot of things to sort out about their relationships with their wives, themselves - and each other.

Summary
Glenn has to believe they forgot him, because the alternative is that they left him behind.
Which, in all fairness, is an equally likely scenario.
