Summary
There are some paradoxes in nature that are strangely similar to life. Tornadoes, for example, are both predictable and unpredictable. You think you understand them, then you realize you know nothing at all. The same could be said of the crew of the Tornado Wranglers.
For them, nothing and everything had changed in the nearly ten years since the El Reno twister. They still operated as a team, chasing storms through tornado alley and beyond. Dani and Dexter in the van, Lily on the drone, Boone with the camera, and Tyler the Tornado Wrangler himself leading the way with ever the brilliant Kate. And of course there was Javi, who headed up research for the crew. Together, they felt unstoppable. Age had no damper on their spirit and their drive, but with time came lessons learned, and with fewer disasters and close-calls came an unintentional carelessness. But life, like storms, can change in the blink of an eye. For better, and for worse.
