Summary
Inspired by Starkssravings the Runway, I wrote my own ode to what could have happened in A court of Silver Flames. A cannon divergent story if Nesta would have left the night court altogether.
Fifteen years. It had been fifteen years since he had seen her. He would find her. He would bring her home, would keep her safe.
Fifteen years. Fifteen years she had been hiding, rebuilding, and making herself whole. She had found purpose, life, a family. And she would never go back to misery.

Tensions among humans and Fae have been increasing, as attacks along the boarders show that perhaps their two people cannot coexist peacefully.
Ivy, the daughter of High Lord Tamlin and Lady Alba of the Spring Court, loves her people dearly. She will do whatever is needed to help her family, her people, and the Spring Court thrive.
Nyx, the Prince of the Night Court, is content commanding his legion in Illyria. His father and mother are now asking him to step more fully into his role as heir.
This is a story about politics, love, loss, and what two Fae who love their people will do in order to see them thrive.

Cassian McKay has made it perfectly clear he will never take a wife. It makes him completely unsuitable as a husband, in addition to being rude, scottish, and incapable of carrying on a polite conversation.
