Summary
In a dream that night Kim Dokja sees Lee Sookyung standing in front of him with open arms. Her smile is warm, and she’s in a dress he vaguely remembers as her favorite since he was a child. She tells him that she loves him, that she will never not love him, and it’s something he knows, and it’s something he’s always doubted.
Lee Sookyung hushes him like a mother would to her child when he starts crying, but Kim Dokja only cries harder, louder. She tells him how she’s sorry for everything and Kim Dokja cries and cries and cries and hugs her even tighter.
Then he opens his mouth and says, tears rolling to his lips, mixing with his snot: I love you.
I love you, I love you, I love you. I wish you knew how to help me.

Summary
He Xuan starts coughing so loudly and so violently that for a second Xie Lian loses track of reality, and thinks it was He Xuan who got buried under what feels like half a mountain, and not Xie Lian. It’s only as he tries to get up, alarmed, that the pain shoots through his body and reminds him why that would be a terrible idea. A grunt of pain must escape him, because He Xuan pushes him down again. This time, he leaves his hand on his shoulder, a constant reminder to “stay the fuck down, dianxia, fucking idiot.”
“You sounded like you were in pain. Are you sure you weren’t hurt in the collapse?”
“It really is very galling to be fretted upon by a man who is bleeding half of his intestines unto the floor.”
(or: Xie Lian and He Xuan end up trapped in a cave together, and Xie Lian won't stop saying upsetting things. It's probably the concussion.)

Summary
The next day in class, Kageyama watched Hinata’s mouth as he chewed on the end of his pen. Even his mouth was cute. Even his pen was cute. It was sky blue with little clouds dotted across it, and Kageyama thought about Hinata seeing it in the store and deciding to buy it.
He thought about Hinata looking through pens and pencils and other school supplies, picking out what he would take with him to high school. He thought about Hinata fishing through his wallet and getting excited about having just enough to buy the things he wanted. He thought about Hinata walking home with his shopping bag knocking into his ankles and a skip in his step.
“-geyama. Kageyama. Kageyama!”
Kageyama jumped and looked up. His teacher was standing at the front of the class, glaring at him. “Um, yes?”
“Can you give us the answer to number 4?”
