Whatever Sarah was about to say was cut off by a clatter at the window.
Kie tilted her head, staring at the frosted glass then back at Sarah.
“Was that a…?” There was another set of clatters, like it had suddenly started hailing. “Sarah. Is someone Romeo-ing the bathroom window?”
Sarah’s mouth fell open in delighted glee. “Oh my god, I bet it’s JJ. I bet it’s him, and he’s totally gonna say something really romantic…”
“I bet it’s a drunk football player who’s trying to hit a bird,” Kie said flatly. She leaned over the toilet, slowly shimmying the window up so she could yell out of it into the night. “HEY! ANIMAL CRUELTY IS NOT OKAY–”
“Kie?” a familiar voice yelled up at her, and Kie let out a yelp and ducked down, which regrettably resulted in her kneeling on the closed toilet seat. Fuck.
