“Look at that—we’re matching,” he croons, gesturing at her gold-tipped wings. She looks as close to a goddess as anyone can—a gauzy white dress, heels with straps that circle up her calves, flecks of gold along her cheekbones. He thinks of the ancient civilization classes he’s taken, conjures an image of Nike in his head, the winged goddess of victory.
Utahime reminds him of that. Vicious, driven, beautiful. Victorious in everything she does.

Ever since he accidentally spilled his guts all over the table (both metaphorically and physically, you had to hold his hair back when he was puking in the toilet), and the two of you shockingly reciprocated, you’d begun dating—it didn’t even seem natural saying it, hell, thinking it.
And it has been two and half months. Armin still can’t get used to your glossed lips pressing kisses into his cheek, or your hands sliding along his skin.
It didn’t feel real like it should have, like he wanted it to.
It felt awkward.
