   Summary

   Originally posted on Tumblr in 2014. Inspired by the video for Bonnie Tyler's "He is the King", set in a modern!au, Thranduil is lonely following Legolas’ abrupt departure five years ago and has begun to frequent a strip club called The Firehouse. There he meets a dancer named Wednesday who brings him out of the darkness. As he starts to rebuild his life and his relationship with his son, an old threat, Smaug returns, threatening to take away everything he holds dear.
