Chapter Text
It was another day in the coffee shop. Customers were scattered about, minding their business and ignoring the two young women flirting at the counter. One of the customers kept flitting his eyes back to the counter, wanting to order more coffee but reluctant to interrupt the two. He supposed he’d make it without falling asleep, he thought. At least, he hoped he would.
“Then what happened?” asked the taller of the women.
“Then she woke up! And! She couldn’t remember a thing so I still don’t know what exactly happened in her dream,” answered the one behind the counter.
The former shook her head, saying, “Wow, that’s so weird.”
“I know. So, anything happened to you lately?”
“Hmm. Well, I made some new friends in my Literature class.”
“Oh, that’s nice! It’s always good to make new friends, especially in college.”
“Mhm. They, uh, they actually invited me to a party at one of their houses this Friday,” Hyejoo said. She looked down, unsure whether to continue, if the girl even enjoys these kinds of things. She glanced up, tucking her hair behind her ear, “Do you want to come too?”
Chaewon blinked, “A party?” A college party? “Like, with drinks and dancing and stuff?”
“Probably.”
It really wasn’t her kind of thing and she hadn’t been somewhere super crowded in a while, but she really wanted to spend more time with Hyejoo. Plus, she could meet her friends at the same time.
“Sure!”
Hyejoo’s eyes lit up and Chaewon didn’t regret her choice. “I’ll pick you up then?” Hyejoo asked, “We could go there together.”
“Yeah, let’s go together.”
