(Wei Wuxian POV)
All the things that have happened during and the following months after that fateful discussion conference remains a great story to be told for generations, indeed.
First, during the maind banquet of the discussion conference, where everyone who matters and even those who did not matters much in the politics of cultivation attended. That means, Wei Wuxian gets to flaunt the fact that he's engaged to Lan Wangji who is the most perfect man alive, who loves Wei Wuxian very much, who was the love of Wei Wuxian's life and they are soulmates. They were both so grossly in love with each other Jiang Cheng ended up hissing at them every two minutes, but only before the banquet officially starts.
Why? Because Wen Qionling and his older sister, Wen Qing, arrives and suddenly, Jiang Cheng's body jerks up, and he pulls his right sleeve, revealing the beginning of a soulmate mark, and eventually, the mark reveals the shape of a white rose, surrounded by it's thorns that made circular motion around the rose.
At the same time, Wen Qing reveals her sleeves as well, showing the same mark on her arm.
Wei Wuxian, of course, finds himself shocked at the revelations that Jiang Cheng, his shidi who somehow manages to make himself banned by every matchmaker in the country at the tender age of fifteen, had a soulmate.
And a fellow Alpha, at that!
It was a rare thing, for two alphas to become soulmates, after all. They've always been taught that while friendship is totally possible, two alphas having a romantic relationships of any kind is almost impossible, due to the both of them would have severe needs to dominate, or compete with each other in many areas of life instead of working together.
But of course, Wei Wuxian is not about to judge just because of such old textbooks teaching. Alphas are not always very dominant or ambitious, after all, and Wei Wuxian's own soulmate, Lan Wangji, is actually quite submissive when it comes to life matters (He completely changes in bed, though...even though he and Wei Wuxian haven't gone too far...yet).
It does, however, needs to be held into account, the fact that there's a reason why Jiang Cheng is banned by every matchmaker possible despite his status, skills, or looks, and Wei Wuxian decided this will be his main concern for the future that is about to come, that is, making sure Jiang Cheng and Wen Qing wouldn't try to murder each other, or, most likely, Jiang Cheng getting himself killed, because after knowing what she did to Wen Ruohan, Wen Qing is certainly a powerful woman they should never pissed off.
The events that comes after the discussion conference, one after another, were these things ;
Jiang Wanyin and Wen Qing would be engaged and she would spend her time between Qishan and Yunmeng, and so did Jiang Cheng.
Wen Ruohan has made many harm towards the cultivation worlds and Wen Qionglin promises that the new Wen Sect is going to pay for those crimes by emptying Wen Ruohan's private vault, that contains ridiculous amount of treasures, and will gives conpensation towards those who have been harmed.
The Lanling Jin Sect finds themselves to be shamed, once again, when one day of of the maids of Madam Qin from the LaolingQin Sect slipped up and proceeded to tell her sister, who works as a cook in Jinlintai, that the LaolingQin Sect Leader's older daughter, Qin Su, is, as of a fact, is not the daughter of LaolingQin's Sect Leader, but the daughter of Jin Guangshan, Lanling Jin's sect leader, who rapes Madam Qin in one drunken night.
The cook is very loyal towards Madam Jin, who was upon knowing this fact, has been horrified and ashamed, as Madam Qin is her close friend.
(Wei Wuxian have suspicions that someone must have pulled the strings of the revelation, but there's no evidence, anyway).
And as if that wasn't enough, Jin Guangyao and Jin Zixuan proceeds to deal with a flood in Mo Village, and founds out that the second young Lady Mo, a sweet, sixteen year old girl, is 8 months pregnant with a babe who was fathered by none other than Jin Guangshan, who, unsurprisingly, rapes her.
She was fifteen when it happens. Jin Guangshan is Fourty five.
Long story short, the embrassment was so big, and Jin Zixuan, Madam Jin, and several other Jin Elders were so enraged they all coerced Jin Guangshan to let go of his title as a sect Leader, and live in retirement in peace and away from politics, or something that happens to Wen Ruohan might happened to him.
Jin Guangshan, being a greedy bastard he is, refused to let go of the power in his hand, and he was still supported by a faction of other Jin Elders. That is, until Jin Guangyao comes with an incredible evidence of long investigation of how Jin Guangshan was so corrupt he took money that was supposed to be allocated for the Jin Elders and the Jin Clan in general, for years ever since his ascension to the Sect Leader position.
Wei Wuxian was there to accompany his shijie, who comes to Jinlimtai oftenly these days to arrange her marriage, during the incredible revelations. Wei Wuxian couldn't help wonder about Jin Guangyao during this, how this bastard of Jin Guangshan somehow managed to charm, sweet-talk, and eventually, manipulates the attitude of everyone in the room to fight against Jin Guangshan 'little tirany', and manages to put an end to Jin Guangshan's reign.
Madam Jin proceeds to pronounce Jin Zixuan as Sect Leader, and Jin Guangyao his trusted advisor and right hand man. She also ordered for Mo Fan to be brought to Jinlintai so she and her newborn son, named Jin Xuanyu, can be properly taken care of.
And thus, time of peace and prosperity, and surprisingly, love, comes to bloom upon the cultivation world.
Wei Wuxian is, of course, completely fine with this, if not for the fact that Lan Wangji has to be away doing his duties as Sect Heir in Gusu, while Wei Wuxian is busy being the first junior disciple who soon will be a senior, and still has to make sure Jiang Cheng wouldn't piss Wen Qing off, because let's be honest, they come off with a rough start.
Still, he can see the fondness in Jiang Cheng's eyes whenever he sees Wen Qing, and the amused and yet fond look Wen Qing has for Jiang Cheng.
It is unfair, really, considering how they get to see each other oftenly, because Jiang Cheng could make excuses to go to Qishan, which is still in shambles after the rebellion, to help out as a great future husband, and yet Wei Wuxian couldn't even see Lan Wangji because of their respective works and the fact that they have no excuse to meet each other until their designated time. (Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji was arranged to stay together in Lotus Pier during the winter that year)
There's also the impending marriage of Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli, and Wei Wuxian has to come back every month to get his measurement taken, and had to endure scoldings from both the seamstresses and Madam Yu because he keeps getting taller, and Wei Wuxian is so tired of getting yelled at things that is outside of his control.
He missed Lan Wangji very, very much.
At least, due to him chaperoning Jiang Cheng and Wen Qing in Qishan (Jiang Cheng is very pissed about this. Wei Wuxian acts as Lan Qiren-like as he could and feels the satisfaction of revenge), Wei Wuxian grews close to the new sect leader Wen, Wen Qionglin (who insisted to be called Wen Ning, and somehow calls Wei Wuxian 'Young Master Wei' with reverence, much to Wei Wuxian's indignation).
But their friendship is great and eventually, because Wei Wuxian have grown very fond of Wen Ning, the two decided to be sworn brothers, and Wen Ning gets to called Wei Wuxian 'Da-ge' and Wei Wuxian is so very, very proud.
Wei Wuxian tells Lan Wangji all these in his letters, and Lan Wangji gives him a short congratulations in return. Wei Wuxian coos at the letter, knowing full well that Lan Wangji is probably jealous because ; A. Wen Ning is an Alpha, and B. Wen Ning gets to see Wei Wuxian more than Lan Wangji did.
Wei Wuxian sends a letter assuring Lan Wangji that they are simply sworn brothers, and he thought of Wen Ning like he thought of Jiang Cheng, and that Wei Wuxian is planning to play matchmaker and gets Wen Ning to go on a date with Nie Huaisang, and Lan Wangji is going to receive a wonderful gift when he goes to see Wei Wuxian during winter.
During the day of Lan Wangji's supposed arrival in Yunmeng, though, Wei Wuxian gets a heart to heart from Jiang Cheng, which is unexpected, but also something that warms Wei Wuxian's heart in a way that screams family.
They were on the pier, waiting for Lan Wangji to come, while exitedly talking about their shijie's wedding, when Jiang Cheng brought it up.
"I never thought I was going to get married, you know"Jiang Cheng said.
Wei Wuxian stares at him in surprise, because Jiang Cheng is talking in a soft tone that he had ever used only when Wei Wuxian is sick or hurting.
"Chengcheng..." Wei Wuxian started, but Jiang Cheng waves his hand, stopping him.
"Don't" Jiang Cheng stops him.
"Listen. I really do. I hates Omega's scent. I don't hate yours or a-jie or a-niang because you are family, but it's different for...outsiders" Jiang Cheng murmured, looking down.
"Do you think I want to be banned by those matchmakers? Well, I don't, but everytime a match was made, I always feel sick and when I was younger, I would tell them out loud that the omegas they match me with stinks, and then they would be offended" Jiang Cheng scoffs.
Wei Wuxian stared at him in surprised. He didn't know that Jiang Cheng aversion towards omega's scent was so...severe.
"But you have Wen Qing now. She's...an alpha, right?" Wei Wuxian asked.
Jiang Cheng nods.
"I am lucky. She's great. But that's not the point!" He exclaimed, looking slightly embrassed as he tries to look for words.
"Oh?" Wei Wuxian asks, throwing him a grin as he lean closer.
"Then what is it, Chengcheng? It's rare for you to act so skittish" Wei Wuxian commented, earning him a smack on the shoulder.
"Shut up! What I'm saying is, I'm prepared to never marry, so I started planning for Jie's marriage with you, and then..." Jiang Cheng trails as he flushes harder.
Wei Wuxian tilts his head curiously, patiently waiting for his shidi to just get on with whatever it is.
"...then I thought, 'hey, what if Wei Wuxian gets married too?' And then I started planning yours, too" he grumbles.
Wei Wuxian's jaw dropped in surprised. Jiang Cheng planned his wedding? But Wei Wuxian is an omega, he's supposed to be married off! Besides, Wei Wuxian knows he caused a lot of troubles for Madam Yu already. But if Jiang Cheng is planning for his marriage, that means...
"...I even think on how much money should be spend. I thought if Jie gets a grand wedding, I thought you should, too" Jiang Cheng said, his face grews redder and redder,
"So, if you really want to get married one day, you are doing it here, not Gusu, because those Lans don't know how to do a proper party, and you...I want you to have a great wedding, and I have planned it all for you, because you are my brother and my family and we're not going to speak about this again until your actual wedding is happening. Is that understood?" Jiang Cheng demanded.
Wei Wuxian swallowed a lump in his throat as he tries to speak;
"But...Jiang Cheng, a wedding in Lotus Pier, you know I'm just...a servant and rogue cultivator's son, and I'm lucky uncle Jiang took me in, but I'm not..." Wei Wuxian voice falters as he speaks, and Jiang Cheng glares at him.
"Stop wih that nonsense! You are family, you will always be family, and I know dad will agree with me, and I'll made a-niang agree with me too! Wei Wuxian, since the first time you came here, you already are my brother, and you are my family, so stop that self-pitying bullshit because you deserve this!" He yelled.
Wei Wuxian looks at him, awed struck. Jiang Cheng looks like he was on the verge of tears, and quite frankly, so did Wei Wuxian.
Jiang Cheng is not the kind of a person who can spill everything so easily like that. And yet, he did it anyway, out of his love for Wei Wuxian, out of his love for his brother.
Wei Wuxian appreciates it, very ,very much, because he loves Jiang Cheng too, his brother, his best friend, and his family.
Wei Wuxian blink back his tears.
"Shut up and hug me now" he grumbles, and Jiang Cheng readily agrees as be tackled Wei Wuxian and hugs him, tight, and that was how Jiang Yanli finds both of her little brother embracing each other, bawling their eyes out.
She smiles as she turned away and shooed away all the servants from watching them, and let the two of them have their moment.
II
Wei Wuxian is thankful that he and Jiang Cheng has a heart to heart the other day, because now that Lan Wangji is here, Wei Wuxian's time is preoccupied, between making out with Lan Wangji and going on dates.
Especially now that Wei Wuxian is in heat, and after much begging, Lan Wangji finally agrees to accompany him during his heat.
And that's how Wei Wuxian ended up sprawled up in his bed, completely naked as he lift his hips up, arching his back, his cock buried deep in Lan Wangji's warm mouth, as two of Lan Wangji's fingers is working their way inside of Wei Wuxian's sopping wet hole.
Wei Wuxian moans loudly as Lan Wangji hits a great spot, again and again, merciless as he bobs his head, Wei Wuxian's lenght fucking his mouth.
When Wei Wuxian came, Lan Wangji swallows it all, down to the last drop.
Wei Wuxian have came four times, and in heat or not, he needed rest.

"Lan Zhan, my love, I spoke with Jiang Cheng a few days ago" Wei Wuxian started, his fingers tracing Lan Wangji's bare chest, leaving goosebumps against the smooth, jade-like skin.
"Mn" Lan Wangji hums indulgently. At this point in life, Lan Wangji is sure he will indulges each and every whims of Wei Wuxian, and he'll do whatever his soulmate wanted him to do.
"Jiang Cheng said, if we got married, he wanted us to do it here...it was a statement, that I'm his brother and family and all that" Wei Wuxian said, sighing happily.
Lan Wangji feels a happy flutter in his heart seeing how happy his soulmate is.
"Mn. Anything for Wei Ying" Lan Wangji said confidently.
Wei Wuxian chuckles,
"Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, you are too good" he said, sighing.
"What about you, Lan Zhan? Don't you want it to be done in your place instead?" Wei Wuxian asks.
Lan Wangji thought about it.
He did want to have their wedding done in Cloud Recesses, if possible. But if such wedding would make his soulmate unhappy, then Lan Wangji won't push it. After all, nothing matters, as long as they are together, Lan Wangji wouldn't care less about technicalities.
Lan Wangji turns and buries his face on Wei Wuxian's chest, tucking his head underneath the omega's chin.
"I want it. But if Wei Ying didn't, then I don't want it" Lan Wangji answered honestly.
Wei Wuxian gasps,
"Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, that's not how this is supposed to be! I want you to be happy too, and gets all that you wanted as well!" Wei Wuxian said fondly, burying his face on Lan Wangji's hair.
Lan Wangji hums, inhaling Wei Wuxian's scent. He'll be scent-dazed because of this, because Wei Wuxian smells really good during his heat, and Lan Wangji wants to stay in this position forever.
"Mnn. Whatever Wei Ying wants" Lan Wangji mumbles sleepily.
Wei Wuxian laughs, his laugh vibrating in his chest where Lan Wangji rest his head, and Lan Wangji smiles, just a little, because Wei Ying's happy laugh made Lan Wangji the happiest man ever, and he'll do all that he can to keep those laughter remain forever.
"Alright, how about this? Let's have two weddings , Lan Zhan! Both in here and Cloud Recesses! That way, we both gets what we wanted! I bet your uncle would have a heart attack knowing we'll get married twice, eh?" Wei Wuxian said, grinning at his idea.
Lan Wangji hums, snuggling even closer to Wei Wuxian, kissing his soulmate chest as he reply;
"As long as Wei Ying is happy, then so do I".
Wei Wuxian sighed dreamily. He is a very lucky man indeed, to have such a wonderful person as his soulmate.
"Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, I love you so, so much" Wei Wuxian said as he gave little kisses on Lan Wangji's temple.
"Mn. Love you too" Lan Wangji answered, his voice drowsy. Wei Wuxian's scent, while arousing, is also calming at the same time, and they are already past Lan Wangji's usual bed time, so Lan Wangji is bound to fell asleep any moment now.
"Baobei, are you sleepy?" Wei Wuxian asks, chuckling.
"We really should get married soon after shijie, Lan Zhan. And then we'll adopt as many rabbits as possible- I'm sure if it's you, no one in Cloud Recesses would dare to intervere- and then we could travel the world, and maybe finds out why we saw each other's past when we touched the first time...ah, there's sooo many things I wanted to do with you, Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian blabbers.
Lan Wangji didn't answer, already half asleep as he felt Wei Wuxian cradling his head, Wei Ying's fingers gently combing Lan Wangji's hair.
Wei Wuxian coos at the sleeping 'baby' in his arms, and let him, as Wei Wuxian knows that his heat will took full swing in a few hours again, and he'll need Lan Wangji refreshed for that.
Wei Wuxian close his eyes.
For now, all is well.
