chaotic tired: Last time I messed with Clockwork Stars trying to wish for my planet to come out of nuclear winter Nova manipulated us into collecting more and more materials for it, and then Nova took my friends as substitutes for the materials we couldn't harvest from Pop Star

some wizard???: Clockwork Stars aren't supposed to do that.
some wizard???: They're supposed to fulfill wishes to mortals, nothing more nothing less. They shouldn't even have enough sentience to decide things like that.
Dad: It turned out that Nova was a very early prototype, and was made to BE self aware and make decisions on its own. As far as I can tell, it was supposed to be a safety mechanism to prevent wishing for dangerous things, or for it to judge individuals that may want to cause harm to others and not grant them their wishes.
chaotic tired: Yeah, and that fucking horribly backfired when it decided to become an evil malicious piece of shit.
