Sometime in the Taisho Era, Japan
Far inland in the rural areas of Japan, in a deep valley. There lies a small village of not too many. The village is painted in the many colors of spring. It is imbedded in an array of different flowers and plants but mainly Aster tataricus or as we know it Shion. So much that it seemed almost unreal and mythical. Not many records still exist of the town nor its residents, but we do know it was well known. It was Known as…
“The Town of Slayers”
That is a catchy name isn't it? It came at a great cost well. It said that the town was started by a former Demon Slayer many years ago. This Slayer was not just any slayer, He was a Pillar that was very well known for his skills and slaying abilities. He built the town with his family as a safe haven for slayers traveling far out in the country and in the valley, it was located in. It had become very popular and was labeled as a Wisteria town because of its reputation of keeping slayers safe. It was so well known that the Demon slayer Corps recognized the Pillar for his amazing dedication the the organization and its purpose. Slayers of all kinds would stop in the village and rest and gather for celebrations! Giving thanks to their safety and that one-day a a world with no demons will come soon!
But sadly, that way its former name from years ago. No one knows why it lost such a grand title, but many say it is because of the dropping numbers of slayers. Others say it’s because of the flow of time, much has changed so it’s not popular anymore. And so, on but it doesn't matter now. For goodness sakes the town is said to be over 100 years old, passed down traditions of many generations. But what do you expect from a town out in the middle of nowhere? Especially now that trains exists and new trade routes, not to mention travel routes that are faster and near big cities.
Now in the new era hardly anyone went to the village from the outside world. It was secluded because of the valley that surrounded it, locking it away from the changing world around it. Was that a bad thing? who knew...No one from inside that village ever came out to tell its stories...
