Chapter Text
"WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!" Someone yelled near the doorway. Hajime forced his eyes to open, confused why Kazuichi was making a ruckus this early. Hmm... Chiaki's hair smells like strawberries.
"Did you three do something together?" Nagito's question made Hajime wonder what those two are staring at... Ah. Hajime noticed the blanket partially removed, revealing Izuru's habit of removing his clothes when he felt hot. Hajime could never understand what his twin liked better: cold or cuddles. He can't have both unless he wants to hug a corpse.
"Jesus Christ! Kamukura is even naked!" Kazuichi pointed out as Hajime tried sitting up. Truth be told, Izuru isn't naked. The Ultimate Hope somehow learned Hajime and Chiaki's sleepover, barging into the room while they were in the middle of watching a movie based on a game. Hajime was so busy that he forgot to hang out with Chiaki two days ago. Since they couldn't kick Izuru out and Nagito was busy to hang out, Hajime had to be the one to adjust to the cuddle session. It isn't helpful how both individuals are greedy for cuddles. Hajime recalls someone telling him Nagito is a good bed mate.
"Come on, guys. Time to wake up..." Hajime mumbled, staring down at Chiaki. Chiaki was initially on Hajime, but since the brunette moved, she was now resting on Izuru. Izuru wanted to partake in any potential event that might occur between them. Hajime wasn't sure what the genius meant, but Chiaki was blushing like a tomato. Hajime rarely saw people blushing like that without the use of alcohol. It's cute and funny.
"Nooo~" Chiaki whined, refusing to let Hajime's shirt go. She wasn't Hajime's only concern, considering Izuru refused to get off his arm. The Ultimate Hope opened his eyes, then decided to move his face towards the pillow, looping his other arm around Chiaki's waist like a bolster.
"I know you're awake. Get up!" Hajime told his twin off, using his free hand to move Izuru's hair. Hajime looked at Izuru's neck, noting the latter's smooth skin. They were supposed to have the same skin color, but Izuru seemed a shade lighter than him. Hajime leaned close, tilting his brother's head to look at him. "Izuru. You and I need to prep for the game."
"..." Izuru stared back at him with sleepy eyes. Natsumi was right because Hajime might develop a brother complex at this rate. Izuru looks harmless! Izuru huffed, pulling Chiaki and using his other hand, which clutched the back of Hajime's shirt, to slam Hajime against the bed. "No."
"Hey!" Hajime fell on Chiaki, but the gamer didn't react. Maybe she did but opted to go with the flow. Then again, they did sleep late. "Izuru! Stop being a lazy ass!"
"Had I gone with my intuition..." Nagito was sulking as Hajime managed to haul Izuru and Chiaki up with his upper body strength. Chiaki curled against him as he pulled the night owls into a sitting position. Meanwhile, Izuru opened his eyes and made a random decision to lean against the brunette. Hajime didn't expect this, falling on the bed.
*thud*
"Guys. Get in the room and close the door..." Hajime groaned, holding a person with each arm. He knew Izuru was awake, but the Ultimate was unmotivated to start the day. Chiaki was... He noticed the gamer to be sleepy nowadays and probably stayed up to play games or class-related. "This is going to take a while."
"We'll do that," Kazuichi agreed, closing the door behind them. Hajime nuzzled Chiaki's head with his cheek to wake her up, but all she did was make a cute noise-
"?!" Hajime yelped when Izuru headbutted his jaw. Hajime muttered under his breath, "The hell did I do?"
"It was an accident," Izuru shifted his position before raising himself, letting go of his captives to rest both hands on the bed. The Ultimate was on all four, staring at Hajime and Chiaki before looking up at Kazuichi and Nagito. "Good morning."
"I'm not gay!" Kazuichi made the random declaration while Hajime blew Izuru's hair since it's hitting his face. Chiaki began giggling, rolling, and bumping against Izuru's hand in her attempt to get off Hajime. Hajime tilted his head, looking up to see Kazuichi covering his eyes. What the hell is he doing?
"Nothing important," Izuru responded, falling back against the confused brunette. The Ultimate watched Chiaki roll onto the right side of the bed, slumping against his twin. "You're hot."
"Yes, so get off!" Hajime managed to push Izuru now that Chiaki was off him. Watching Izuru remain idle on the bed like a ragdoll, Hajime sat up to nudge his twin. "Come on. It's time to show the guys you aren't naked."
"Let them imagine," Izuru closed his eyes but was dragged to the edge of the bed since he held onto Hajime's arm. "Too early...."
"You always complain when I'm dragging you out of bed," Hajime huffed, using his free hand to grab his cellphone on the table side. The brunette did watch Chiaki's friends wake Izuru up, and his twin was very quiet. The apathy is oozing from his actions..? Hajime loosened his hold against his lazy brother, rereading the message sent to him by Natsumi.
"Are they kidding with me?" Hajime wasn't sure what he did to the administration, but his class was suddenly scheduled to fight 2 sections. To be more specific, his class will be playing against Class 77-A and 77-B. 'Who thought this was a great idea? Facing two batches of Ultimates is gonna be stressful as hell! While the competitions are two hours apart, my classmates need as much stamina as they can to survive the chaos.'
"I can take over if you want?" Izuru offered, resting his chin against Hajime's shoulder. "You did interact with Matsuda while dressed as me last time."
"Sure. You could go in my place and win the match, but you could also discover the surprise I have in stock for our game..." Hajime reasoned since he was well-aware how curious his twin could be. Said brother of his was also the type to work solo, which was a huge contrast to his job in his class section.
"Will understanding your pawns truly ruin the surprise?" Izuru moved back, kicking the blanket and watching Chiaki get interrogated by their visitors. "Boring..."
"..." Hajime also looked away to take bits of info from the students. Apparently, the Ultimate Mechanic and Ultimate Lucky student misunderstood the situation as something sexual. Does cuddling always have to equate to something sexual...?
*DING*
"I'm not saying I don't like him, but nothing happened last night!" Chiaki held both hands together into small fists, glaring at her two friends.
"Uh-huh..." Nagito used his well-known doubtful tone, which surprisingly made Chiaki slightly pink on the face. Wait. Did something happen last night? Hajime could continue listening and watching the accusation unfold, but he should check the text message...????
"Kamukura-kun! Back me up," Chiaki looked at her friend for support. Same friend who's chosen to wear Hajime's hoodie. She could ask Hajime for help, but the brunette was texting furiously to someone.
"Yes, nothing sexual happened last night," Izuru drawled, leaning against Hajime's back after getting bored of dressing himself. "However, something did happen."
"I knew it..." Kazuichi whispered with one hand covering his mouth as if about to bite his nails off.
"Nothing happened!" Chiaki's voice increased in volume, pointing at the Ultimate who chose to yawn. "Liarrrrr!"
"He did invite himself over for a reason..." Nagito pondered.
"Komaeda-kun. I know you look at Kamukura-kun highly, but he entered my room through the window just to invite himself over. People don't do that," Chiaki cannot help but stress her point.
"Huh? But why not use the balcony?" Kazuichi looked towards the balcony which was a logical path for most individuals to use since the window have rails- Kazuichi took a step back, staring at the broken rails. "Ok. In second thought, I think he did enter through the window."
"The metal is brittle," Izuru explained when Nagito looked at him. Sometimes, Izuru can predict what someone will say and answer accordingly.
"You should head to your classmates soon," Hajime interrupted their conversation, standing up while taking and putting on Izuru's jacket. Chiaki, Kazuichi and Nagito looked at Izuru wearing an Usami hoodie. Ever since the Reserve Course managed to get the Ultimate Therapist's permission to use her mascot, the first thing the reserve course student council crafted were a clothing line inspired by Usami. Since Hajime needs to go under incognito, he has a lot of Usami stuff. Hajime switched out to wear this hoodie before meeting with Chiaki yesterday. It was very cute. Right now, Hajime's wearing a plain black jacket when he should be wearing the cutesy...
"Are you even paying attention?" Hajime asked, already in the kitchen area and plucking out ingredients from the cabin. Chiaki rubbed her eyes, looking back at Hajime. Right. The school stocked her room with food ingredients, hoping she learns real cooking since she's really good in cooking games. "Nanami. Go take a bath and Izuru? Do whatever you want."
"..." Izuru flopped back on the bed. That was... Unexpected too.
"Hinata-kun seems to be a bad influence to Izuru..." Nagito muttered a bit loudly, which she couldn't blame. Izuru would laze around when Hajime decides to do work even if said Ultimate can perform the task better and faster than Hajime. It must be a family thing. Izuru just prefers Hajime's creation, no matter how imperfect. *DING*
'Yukizome-sensei sent a message in GC!' Chiaki checked her phone, running to the closet. She could not take a bath, but she'll smell like Izuru's cologne...No! She has to take a bath even if she took a bath last night! Grabbing her clothes, Chiaki turned her head to ask Nagito. "Can you handle the class for a while? I'll be fast."
"It's an honor, Nanami-san." Nagito smiled, expression quickly switching to panic when Kazuichi threw a pillow against Izuru. "Soda-kun! No!"
"Wake up! Yukizome-sensei needs-" Kazuichi couldn't continue with his sentence when he got smacked by a pillow in return.
"Food's ready," Hajime called out, deciding to serve the burritos supposedly for last night for this morning. He checked all the ingredients in the cupboard and found most of them to be vegetables. Chiaki must love her bread and snacks. Unplugging the microwave, Hajime turned around to see everyone sitting on the dining table. "Don't expect anything."
"But iz gud..." Kazuichi spoke with his mouth full.
"Decent," Izuru already finished his food. Hajime wondered if he should have cooked porridge to spite this prick.
"Did Kamukura-kun finished his food in one go?" Chiaki looked at Izuru in amazement.
"Yes... Yes, he did," Nagito cradled the warm burrito in his hands. "He must be that hungry."
"You can make your own food if you're that hungry," Hajime suggested, not having enough time to cook. He took a bite of his self-made burrito. "Ask Teruteru to cook you guys a light meal for dinner."
"Aren't we supposed to meet after Lunch time?" Chiaki nommed on her food. Hajime rubbed his eyes. For reasons unknown to him, his brain thought Chiaki is cute for some reason. Chiaki didn't notice, thinking of the reason. "Oh. Is it because you're in Section A and we're section B?"
"Yeah," Hajime played it cool. He presumed this must be the other symptoms of sleep deprivation. "You're obligated to win, by the way, so we can meet after dinner."
"Understood," Izuru accepted the challenge. Hajime should send a prayer to Class 1, Section B. Izuru looks ready to start a disaster. "I will be deeply disappointed if you lose..."
"Whew-" Hajime thought the coast was clear since who cares if Izuru is disappointed, right?
"...And I will proceed with my plan to integrate you into my class," Izuru ended. Hajime flinched when he saw Izuru smirk. Ah. He's serious. "I wouldn't want brother dearest to join a shady experiment again, after all."
"Cheeky bastard," Hajime grumbled under his breath. "When will you let that go?"
"Never," Izuru's smile dropped to a frown, now looking serious. Hajime is tempted to ask someone to kill a certain bastard, but Izuru might use his help me, brother trump card during succession. Hajime chose to remain quiet.
"Considering the contribution Hinata-kun performed for the sake of talent, I would like to help as well," Nagito clapped his hands together as if praying.
'What the hell is he talking about?' Hajime glared at the albino. 'Does he not know what a school is for, or is the Main Course that lazy to teach its students to improve talent?'
"Hn. Kamukura-kun rarely smiles," Chiaki remarked, looking back at Hajime. "Maybe Kamukura-kun will smile more if Hinata-kun joins?"
"Nanami also smiles a lot when she's with Hajime~" Kazuichi nudged Chiaki who huffed in annoyance.
"..." Hajime remembers Jum-P with Chiaki puffing air on one side of her cheek. Realizing he's staring at distracted, which is unbecoming of him, Hajime smacked his face. "Whatever. I gotta go."
