Save Tubbo < O > Save Dream SMP
------
“Boo, are you okay?”. The small piglin child, Michael, gently reached for his father's knee, watching as he sat down sobbing with his hands covering his eyes that held the seemingly endless tears he'd been holding back for so long. Michael was confused. He had seen this “emotion” or whatever it was called, through his other dad Bee, a few times over some more things he hadn't had a chance to ask about yet, but from Boo? The boy couldn't wrap his head around it.
Michael slowly leaned his head forward and bumped his father's knee gently with his head. He noticed that Bee seemed to do the same when the happier emotions filled the room, so maybe this would help him.
Minutes turned into what felt like hours. Michael sat next to Ranboo on the floor, mimicking the fetal position the tall enderman was in with his back to the wall.
Soon there was silence and emptiness seemed to have frozen time within the house of Snowchester. When night fell, Michael slowly got up and grabbed his father's hand with a small squeeze.
"Come on Boo! It's time for bed.” , he said with a smile. Michael hadn't been to his room in a while and couldn't wait til Boo would let him look out his window, made just for them, before tucking him into bed. Ranboo nodded softly with his head low.
The two made their way upstairs and just as always, Michael went to greet his chicken before watching the moon rise and finally going to bed. There laid the piglin child who had saved the server, but lost one of the only people he had learned to love so dearly. He watched carefully as Boo quietly pulled the covers over him. Though his hair shielded his face, if Michael squinted hard enough they might've been able to see the scars that traced their father's tears, but the eyes of that child remained wide with curiosity and excitement. Happy for another day with his family.
Now it was time for goodnights. During this time, Ranboo would hug the small child and say their goodbyes to him along with Tubbo's, who'd, surprisingly, fall asleep before the other two on most nights. Everything seemed to have been at least slightly normal until the tall enderman had said his goodnights without including Bee's along with them.
Just before Ranboo could return downstairs Michael called out, "Boo, Bee said goodnight too, right?”. Silence suffocated the small boy for a few seconds before Ranboo made their way back over to the child's bed. The enderman spoke in a tone almost too muffled to make out, “Bee didn’t get a chance to say goodnight this time, Michael.”
“Oh, maybe tomorrow then?”
“Yeah. Maybe tomorrow, Michael.”
