Summary
Tim doesn’t know how to handle grief. He looks at it all: the overwhelming mess of feelings in his throat and the hollowing void in his heart; and he wonders how people do it.
(Tim thinks he knows what will kill him, and what his death will achieve; until he runs into something that wants to give him everything that has been taken from him. It's not parasitism if you get something in return, right?)
“You know, Tim... Whenever I pictured you lost to one of the Fourteen, I always thought it’d be the Slaughter who’d claim you. But, well. I suppose this makes sense. You were always more bark than bite, after all.”
