lydia has uploaded a new video - ‘ladybug and chat noir being cute for 2 minutes straight’

A clip from one of their interviews. Ladybug is yet to arrive, and Chat Noir has placed a single rose on the chair reserved for her. He has a fiddle in his hand and puts a finger to his lips as he grins at the camera. He quickly ducks behind a corner. 

Ladybug zips in from a window, landing in front of her chair.  She hasn’t seen the rose yet. “Sorry I’m late, guys! I got held up with a family request. Although, it seems that I beat Chat Noir.” 

She grins happily and turns to sit on her chair. This is when she sees the rose, and she steps back in surprise. “What’s this doing- ah!” 

Chat jumps from his hiding place, playing his fiddle. “Oh, her eyes are blue and her suit is red, her hair is dark and she likes getting mad! Ladybug, oh stubborn so, welcome to this interview, I hope you don’t go!” 

Ladybug snorts, hunching over as she doubles over in laughter. Chat smiles at her affectionately, and winks while putting a thumbs up at the camera. “I think it worked,” he whispered childishly.

Video footage focused on the roofs. The sun is about to set soon, and Ladybug and Chat Noir are seen on a roof, talking to each other. Their voices are inaudible, but after a few seconds Ladybug bursts into laughter and looks behind her. She waves at the person holding the camera and grins while Chat is slapping his forehead with his hand. 

“You weren’t supposed to look back!” he yells, laughter evident in his voice.

Another clip from their interviews. Chat Noir and Ladybug are sitting on a couch and their interviewer asks them a question. 

“On a scale of one to ten, how much do you two trust each other?” The interviewer prompts, a smile on her face. 

Ladybug and Chat exchange a look, nod, and they both say together, “Infinity.”

“And beyond.” Chat adds on, and Ladybug holds in her laughter. Chat grins proudly and Ladybug cracks, covering her face with her hands. 

“You dork!” she manages to say, and Chat gives the interviewer a double thumbs up while smiling.

hello everyone!! chat noir and i have had a talk about being eco safe in paris and we’ve came to a decision. this saturday, from 1000 to 1300 we’ll be at the place des vodges selling a lot of eco safe items that are all between $1 to $10. there’ll be shirts, skirts, hats, string bags, eco safe straws and more!

hello citizens of paris! ladybug and i are pleased to report that we sold a lot of the items on saturday! i have had a lot of people ask me where the money is going to go, and i have to admit that ladybug and i forgot to add that into our original tweet. all the money that we raised from our eco-sale goes to buying more trees to plant around paris and a couple more recycling bins for our parks! know that your money is going to a safe cause, and i told everyone who asked me on the day (which was almost everyone) where their money was going. have a pawesome day!

good morning everyone!! chat noir has tweeted an explanation about where the money from our eco-sale is going to, if you could please check that it would have an answer to a lot of your questions :)

“You know, I’d have thought that you would have reminded me to tell everyone where the money’s going to.” Chat commented, as he pressed the ‘tweet’ button on his baton. Ladybug rolled her eyes. 

“I’m not supposed to remember everything, Chat.” she replied, and crossed her arms. “Besides, we’d spent weeks organising this- there was bound to be some sort of mess up somewhere.” 

“Well, yeah, but did it have to be with where people’s money is going?” Chat grinned, leaning back on his arms. Ladybug slapped him lightly, a smile on her face.

“You’re so annoying, Chat.” she smiled, and Chat’s leather tail flicked. 

“But for what I’m annoying, my humor makes up for it. And you like my humor.” Chat smirked, and Ladybug giggled, her eyes locking onto his.

“Yeah, I do.” she said softly. Chat interrupted the moment with a cough and averted his eyes to the scenery, a goofy smile on his face. Ladybug looked away too, scrunching her hands into fists and biting her lip to contain her own smile. 

“Hey! Ladybug! Chat Noir!” a voice snapped the two out of their thoughts, and they scrambled up to find the source of the voice. It didn’t sound like they were in trouble, but you could never be too cautious. “I’m on the streets, guys. I don’t climb buildings?”

Chat snorted and was the first to find Alya, standing with a camera in hand. She waved, and Chat gave her a double handed vigorous wave. Ladybug giggled at his antics, which didn’t go unnoticed by Alya. 

“Sorry, was I interrupting something?” she smirked, and tried not to laugh at their expressions. Ladybug’s eyes widened considerably and she started shaking her head, her pigtails flying. Chat had a small smile on his face and was scratching his neck, which confirmed Alya’s suspicions. #Ladynoir was going to happen- and it needed to happen immediately. “Well, if you weren’t busy, I’d like to show you too something. It’s been going kind of viral, honestly.”

“Oh no, is it something about us?” Ladybug voiced the duo’s concerns, and the look on Alya’s face made her groan. “Okay, okay, we’re coming down.” 

After the two heroes had safely landed next to Alya, she brought up something on her phone to show them. It was a YouTube video, called ‘ladybug and chat noir being cute for 2 minutes straight’ . Ladybug made a meep! sound, and even Chat had a pink tinge on his cheek which he covered up with a grin. 

“See, M’Lady? The civilians know we’re meant to be.” he said, nudging her with his elbow. Ladybug crossed her arms, huffing.

“Why are you showing us this?” she asked, her face pink. Alya’s smile faded, and she scrolled down the comments.

“Well- I just, I wanted to draw it to your attention. I mean, it’s not a big deal, but-” she was cut off by Chat Noir laughing as he caught a glimpse at a comment. 

“What are you laughing about?” Ladybug grumbled, and Chat exhaled deeply, pointing to a comment on Alya’s phone.

“Oh my gosh,” Ladybug’s jaw dropped, and she quickly grasped her yoyo, typing away at its screen. Chat snuck a peek over her shoulder, and caught her drafting a reply to the person. 

“Woah, woah, Bug,” Chat grabbed the yoyo and deleted the comment draft before placing it back onto her open palm. “No need to be hasty. It’s obvious that this person has a little bit of a celebrity crush.”

“That’s no excuse to say, ‘Screw Chat Noir’. I mean, you save the city everyday! A little bit of gratitude wouldn’t kill them.” she said, glaring at the screen. 

Chat Noir gave Ladybug a side hug, and smiled at her warmly. “Thanks, M’Lady.” he said simply, and Ladybug’s cheeks pinked. 

“N-No problem, Chat.” she said quietly, closing her yoyo. 

“That was the cutest thing ever,” Alya fangirled, ending her video. Chat’s eyes widened and Ladybug’s jaw dropped again.

“You were filming that?!” she shrieked, and Alya nodded proudly. 

“Yep, and now I’m going to send it to lydia and see if she can add it to the video.” Alya typed away at her phone before hitting a button and switching it off. 

Chat chortled, shaking his head while grabbing his baton and typing at its screen. Ladybug tried to get a glimpse at it, but Chat moved his arm away, a grin on his face. As he put his baton away, Alya’s phone buzzed. 

“You should check that,” Chat said evilly. Alya gave him a look of scrutiny as she checked her notifications. Narrowing her eyes, she swiped at something on her phone before slapping a hand on her mouth to stop herself from laughing. Chat grinned as Alya showed her screen to Ladybug. 

“Chat!” she slapped his arm, this time not so softly. Chat howled, his laughter echoing through the street. “Oh my gosh…”

chatnoir has posted a new video: A video of small trees in a truck, being unloaded by Ladybug and other workers. She looks up at the person filming and narrows her eyes. “Get down here, Chat Noir! Stop filming me!” Chat Noir chuckles, and suddenly a yoyo gets latched onto the filming device, which shakes violently. The world is blurry as the filming device is pulled through the air and the next thing seen is a red costume with black spots. Ladybug’s face comes into vision as her eyebrows furrow and she ends the video.

chatnoir a lot of people have asked about when the trees are coming, and about where we’re going to plant them. i’ve attached a google forms where you can leave your suggestions for this! at the end of the week ladybug and i will check which places have the highest votes/where we think will be a good choice, and we’ll have a chat (see what i did there?) with the mayor and see if we can get permission. as for the trees… well, the video explains it ;)

Marinette flushed, looking at the poll options. Tikki grinned, munching away at her cookie. 

Ladynoir scenes? Wait- that would include the one Alya took.

Marinette bit her lip, so desperately wanting to see the poll percentages. She considered the second option, and her cheeks pinked further. Before she could change her mind she tapped on the Chat Noir option, and almost dropped her phone at the poll results.

Looks like she was getting a video on Chat Noir being cute. Marinette groaned, her cheeks red as she slammed her head on the table. Tikki laughed quietly, her eyes scrunched up as she flew over to Marinette’s head.

“Ow,” Marinette mumbled as aftermath, and Tikki burst out laughing. “Stop laughing at me.” 

That just made Tikki giggle more, and Marinette gave her kwami a glare- however her pink cheeks and fuzzed up hair ruined the effect. 

“Have fun,” Tikki sniggered, and Marinette tried to roll her eyes at her and failed, spinning on her chair and tucking her legs up.

Footage zoomed in on Chat Noir on a park bench, and he appears to be talking to a little girl’s cat.

“Is she sick, Chat Noir?” the girl asks nervously. Chat bends over to the cat and whispers something in its ear. The cat meows, and Chat grins, squatting off the bench and putting his hands on the girl’s shoulders.

“I think she’s all good.” he said softly, and the little girl smiles toothily, hugging Chat. 

“Thank you!” she picks the cat up and runs over to her parents, yelling, “Mom! Dad, Sylvie’s all good!”

Chat waves happily to the girl’s parents before extending his baton and leaping out of the camera.

“I fence! It seems like a weird sport to do, but it’s pretty cool.” He says smoothly, and pulls his baton out, pretending to fence.

The interviewer laughs, and Chat gives the camera a thumbs up.

“Buy yourself something, okay?” Chat grins at his parents before vaulting away, giving the camera a thumbs up.

A clip from their interviews of Chat Noir sniffing a cup of alternative milk, his ears twitching. He is supposed to guess what type of alternative milk it is. He picks the glass up and sips it, widening his eyes.

“It’s soy, isn’t it?” he asked, a look of distaste on his face. “Ugh- I’m sorry, I’m not a soy person. I still love you people, though. Even if you’re a weird soy drinker.”

The people behind the camera laugh and Chat scrunches his nose, putting his glass down.

“Ladybug’s got nothing on me,” he says childishly, before it goes out of control and bonks him on the head. “Ouch. Ladybug spirits, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it.”

Marinette stifled a laugh, clapping a hand over her mouth. Alya rose her eyebrows at her, and Marinette shrugged in response, a smile on her face. 

“Are you texting your dream guy, again?” Alya asked, looking at Marinette over her phone. “You’ve got that look on your face again, and that smile.”

Marinette quickly switched her phone off, shaking her head adamantly. “D-Dream guy? Nope! No-siree, I don’t have a dream guy!”

“Okay,” Alya said, dragging out the ‘a’ as she placed her phone down on the table. “Then maybe he’s the new Adrien… Except you seem to have a different dynamic.”

“And how do you know all this?” Marinette said flatly, leaning forward on the cafe table. Alya put on a wise look, raising a finger.

“It’s a journalist thing. Plus, it’s in your aura.” Alya said mysteriously, before cracking a smile. Marinette scoffed, rolling her eyes. 

“Sure. You probably got that from the internet.” she replied, and Alya placed an offended hand on her chest.

“How could you assume that?” she asked dramatically, and Marinette grinned evilly. 

“It’s in your aura.” she said, mocking Alya’s voice. Alya slapped her lightly, and Marinette laughed.

“Seriously, though,” Alya said, taking a sip of her drink. “Ask this boy out. I can tell you like him.”

“It’s not that easy,” Marinette sighed, as she reached into her purse for a zip lock bag. She packed in a few cookies before locking the pastic bag and dropping it into her purse softly. “But I’ll take that into consideration.”

Alya reached for her phone again, typing away at the screen. A few seconds later, Marinette’s phone buzzed and she switched it on, checking the notification.

Furrowing her eyebrows and giving Alya a suspicious look, Marinette swiped on the notification and gasped at the tweet.

“Alya!” Marinette’s cheeks burned as she covered her face with her hands. Alya laughed, patting her amusedly. 

“I regret nothing.” she said, sipping her drink again. 

Marinette groaned, slumping in her chair. “You’re the worst.”

“Your welcome. Now go ask him out.” Alya said, drawing her attention back to her phone. Marinette looked back to the tweets her and Chat were exchanging, and thought back to Alya’s words. 

Would it really hurt to ask Chat out?

Marinette exhaled, pacing her room while Tikki grinned at her. Marinette had been waiting for their daily patrol, planning to make her confession today. 

“What if he doesn’t love me anymore? What if- what if he just decided that… I’ve hesitated for too long?” Marinette clutched her hair and Tikki zipped over to her, placing her hands on her holder’s cheeks. 

“You’ll be fine, Marinette! Trust me.” she said consolingly and Marinette sighed, leaning into her kwami’s touch. 

“Thanks, Tikki. You always know how to cheer me up.” Marinette’s phone buzzed and she jumped, reaching over to her desk to switch it on. 

One new message from dork 😺

She smiled, swiping at the notification.

i’ll see you in ten minutes for patrol 👍

i’ll see you there!! i have a surprise for you :)

She switched her phone off, a grin on her face as she checked the time. 9 minutes left. Exhaling, she sat down, closing her eyes and playing the scenario out in her head again. Be straightforward. She could do this. And, if he rejected her- well, he’d gone up until now without ruining their partnership. 

“Marinette? There’s two minutes until patrol.” Tikki said, and Marinette’s eyes snapped open. 

“What?” she shrieked, jumping up. “Why didn’t you remind me before?” 

Tikki giggled, and Marinette quickly drank her glass of water. She grabbed the red rose on her table, exhaling deeply. 

“I’m ready. Tikki, spots on!” As the transformation washed over her, she opened the hatch to her verandah and zipped away, rose in her hand.

“Hey, M’Lady.” Chat said, his voice chirpy. Ladybug landed next to him, the rose clutched in her hand behind her. 

“Hi, Chat.” she said, taking a deep breath in. Chat’s ears twitched, and he eyed the hand behind her back.

“Is that the surprise you have for me?” he asked, a grin on his face. Ladybug nodded, not trusting herself to speak, and his tail lashed. “What is it?” 

“After patrol,” Ladybug said, coughing. “We’ll meet at the Eiffel Tower, and I’ll give it to you, okay?”

Chat nodded, his eyes giving her a once over. Ladybug breathed in, he must have noticed her strange body language and behaviour. Chat decided not to say anything, and gave Ladybug a grin before heading off. 

“Get a grip,” she mumbled to herself, unzipping her yoyo hatch and placing the rose carefully inside before swinging away. As she swung from roof to roof, scanning the streets of Paris, she rehearsed the words to herself. “I like you… do you want to go have lunch?… I like you… do you want to have lunch with me?”

As she made her way to the Eiffel Tower, she spotted her partner leaning on the railing, swiping away on his baton screen. She bit her lip, swinging toward their spot and landing softly, unzipping her yoyo hatch and retrieving the rose and hiding it behind her back.

“Hey,” she says, leaning next to him. When Chat looks up and grins excitedly at her, a smile makes a way onto her face. “I have your surprise.” 

She exhales shakily, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear with her free hand. “Chat Noir.” she starts, and Chat raises an eyebrow at the formality. “I… I like your puns. And your jokes, and the way that you always make sure that you lighten the mood. I like the way that you always talk to civilians after they get akumatised, even if they hurt you during the battle. I like the way that you always make me smile, no matter if I’m upset. I like the way that you curl asleep on the top of buildings in the sun, and always have a little smile on your face when you tell a joke. I like the way that you sometimes speak in Mandarin, even if you didn’t mean to. I… I like you.”

Chat’s eyes were wide, and his jaw had dropped slightly. His cheeks were flushed, but Ladybug was sure hers was redder. She revealed the rose, handing it out to him and looking down at the ground. Please don’t reject me, please don’t reject me, PLEASE DON’T REJECT ME-

Chat took the rose carefully, and as their hands brushed Ladybug blushed harder. Why did she think this was a good idea again?  

A hand tilted Ladybug’s head up, and she blinked in surprise. “I like you too,” he said, and warm smile on his face. His eyes seemed to light up and Ladybug’s mouth dropped into an ‘o’ shape. She didn’t know who leaned first, and frankly, she didn’t care. Her eyes fluttered closed as she closed the gap, brushing her lips against his. Their noses bumped and they giggled, leaning their foreheads against each other. It was awkward, it was slow, but it was perfect in both of their eyes. 

“You know the paparazzi’s going to know about this,” Chat said, grinning against her lips. Ladybug pulled back, squishing his face until he made fish lips. 

“I don’t care,” she said, and pecked his lips while squishing his cheeks. “It’ll just make them ship us more.”

“So, is Ladynoir real?” Chat asked, and Ladybug’s cheeks pinked. She smiled, rubbing her thumb on his cheek.

“I think it is,” she said quietly and Chat laughed, placing his hands on her cheeks and kissing her on the nose. Ladybug giggled, looking him in the eyes as they leaned their foreheads against each other again, hugging each other. 

“It definitely is,” Chat mumbled into her hair. Ladybug looked up at him, breaking from the hug. She grabbed his hand, linking their fingers.

“You wanna have lunch with me?” she said, and Chat nodded happily, picking up the rose from where he had dropped it. 

“You want to go to Tom and Sabine’s? We can eat at the park.” he asked, twirling the rose in his fingers. Ladybug grinned goofily, standing on her tiptoes to peck him on the lips. “But if we eat at the park, everyone’ll know.”

“Good,” Ladybug said, walking forward to toss her yoyo. She looked back and smiled at Chat, who smiled back at her. She threw her yoyo out, tugging it as it latched onto a building. “I’ll see you there.” 

Chat extended his baton, chasing after her with a grin on his face.

“This is the best pastry ever,” Chat said between munches, and Ladybug smiled fondly at him. She bit into her own pastry, catching the crumbs with her free hand. 

“It really is,” she agreed, aware of the people staring at them. “You think people know already?” she whispered, and Chat shrugged. 

“Dunno,” he whispered back. Ladybug grinned, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. 

“Now they do,” she said softly, and Chat smiled at her. They could hear the whispers around them, but neither of them could care less.

“How’s Chat Noir as a boyfriend?” The person filming asks, and Chat looks down at Ladybug amusedly. She makes a thinking face before responding. 

“Chat’s the type of boyfriend who cares a lot. He always makes sure I’m comfortable, and he’s just the sweetest boyfriend ever. He’s great.” she says, and Chat’s cheeks pink. She looks up at Chat with a smile on her face, and he gives her a giant grin. 

“How’s Ladybug as a girlfriend?” the person filming asks Chat, and Ladybug grins, elbowing him. 

“Ladybug’s always late for our dates.” Chat says smoothly, and laughs as Ladybug smacks him, saying, “Hey!”. The interviewer laughs, and Chat grins. “I’m joking. Well, not really, because she actually is late sometimes-”

“Chat!” 

“- But she’s also the type of girlfriend who’s witty, smart, and very accepting. She’s the bravest person I know, and even if she acts like she hates my jokes, she loves them. She’s the best girlfriend I could ask for.” Chat says, and Ladybug smiles at him. 

“Final question- are you two happy together?” the interviewer asks, and Ladybug and Chat scoff at the question. 

“Of course we are,” they say together, and the interviewer ends the video.

“You look great,” Chat said, giving Ladybug a warm smile. “But you took ten minutes to do your hair in a braidy thing.”

“It’s called a waterfall braid,” Ladybug said haughtily, crossing her arms over her chest. “And I took 6 minutes.”

“But you took ten minutes.” Chat whined, and Ladybug rolled her eyes, giving him a peck on the cheek. “And that just made up for it.” 

Ladybug giggled, and Chat opened up the picnic basket proudly. Inside were macarons, eclairs, cakes, pastries and a couple of orange juice boxes. Chat grabbed two slices of cake and handed Ladybug one, who raised an eyebrow at her. 

“I thought you couldn’t cook,” Ladybug asks, and Chat pouts at her. 

“Rude,” he says, and Ladybug shrugs, taking a bite out of her slice. “I had help this time.” 

“Well, this person really did a good job. Oh, and you did too.” she added, and Chat snorted. “You know, Chat, I’m glad we’re together.”

Chat looked her in the eye, the corner of his eyes crinkling as he broke into a wide grin. “I’m really glad too, Ladybug.”
