Chapter Text
"I was a down-right fool that left my motion-sick friend on the train because we were too caught up in our conversation," Jellal explained firmly to the confused station worker. "And that is exactly why you need to stop the train!"
"Please, sir!" the station worker pleaded desperately. "We can't stop the train just because one passenger missed his stop!"
"So you won't cooperate, huh?" Jellal sighed and gave the station worker a certain look that caused the two girls behind him to shiver. "My deepest apologies for this."
Before the station could even ask him what he meant by that, Jellal swiftly knocked him out with a sharp hit on the side of his neck.
"Carla!" Jellal said firmly as the station worker collapsed to the floor, completely knocked out.
"Could have added an please!" Carla scoffed and flew up to hit the emergency switch which immediately caused the train's driver to be notified of an accident.
"We're going after Natsu!!!" Jellal declared seriously before turning to look at a couple of confused strangers walking past. "Excuse me, your job is to take this luggage to Hotel Chili."
"This whole thing's messed up…" Lucy sighed.
"For once, we can agree on something." Juvia scoffed.
. . .
. . .
. . .
"I've heard a lot about Fairy Tail, especially the Strauss sisters. They appear in magazines every now and again. They're beautiful." Kageyama smiled as he looked at the motionsick Dragon Slayer in amusement. "There's one more. . . I don't remember her name. But she's known as the Celestial Princess and is very cute. You know her, right?"
Natsu grunted a little in acknowledgement but couldn't do much else due to his motion sickness.
"I guess there are a lot of cute girls in the official guilds, huh? I'm so jealous of you! There are no signs of a girl even coming near our guild. Why don't you share the spoils a little? Or let'd just . . ."
Kageyama raised his foot and kicked Natsu in the face.
"To tell the truth, expulsion sucks," Kageyama sneered down at him. "We dark guilds are discriminated against."
"Huh?" Natsu groaned angrily and glared back at him.
"Oh, so you've finally decided to speak!!" Kageyama grinned as Natsu weakly pushed away his foot.
"Wh-What do . . . you think . . . you're doing . . . you jerk . . ."
"What?" Kageyama mocked him. "I can't hear you! You Fairy Tail bunch really like to stand out, don't you? I hate it when you guys put on airs just because you're in an official guild? Do you know what we call you people at Fairy Tail? Flies. We call you fairies "flies"!!
Kageyama grinned and started slapping Natsu on top of his head.
"Time to swat a fly!!!" Kageyama laughed mockingly.
"You little . . ." Natsu said angrily and stod up from his seat.
"Oh . . ." Kageyama mused in amusement. "You want to take me on?"
Natsu roared angrily and burst into flames before he collapsed on to his knees due to his motion sickness much to Kageyama's amusement.
"What's that supposed to be?" he laughed loudly. "Is that magic?!"
Kageyama stopped laughing suddenly and looked at Natsu with a dark smile.
"You want to see magic?" he grinned manically as his shadows extended into a fist which punched Natsu hard. "This is how you use magic!!"
He laughed manically as Natsu was sent flying.
"D-Dammit," Natsu grunted as he got up slowly and tried to get into a fight mode.
Luckily for him though, the driver of the train had gotten the accident signal and quickly stopped the train.
"Huhh?!!" Kageyama shouted in surprise at the sudden stop. "Why's the train stopping?!!"
The sudden stop caused his bag to fall for the floor which caused a flute with a skull design to fall out of it.
"It stopped . . ." Natsu groaned as he slowly stood up when he noticed the flute. "Hm?"
"S-Sp you saw it . . . ?!" Kageyama groaned through gritted teeth as he glared at Natsu.
"Don't give me that . . ." Natsu told him angrily as his clenched fist burst into flames. "That was a heck of a job you just did on me . . ."
Kageyama looked at him in sudden nervousness as he felt the sheer power from the pink-haired boy in front of him.
"Now you get it back!!!!" Natsu roared angrily as he sent Kageyama flying with a flaming punch.
Kageyama ended up rolling towards the end of the train cart before coming to a stop.
"That was my Fly punch!!" Natsu taunted him while cracking his knuckles.
"Y-You . . ." Kageyama said through gritted teeth as he got up with a bleeding nose.
At that moment, the speakers scracked and started sending out a message to all of the passengers.
"We have just confirmed that the present stop signal was sent out under erroneous circumstances. We will be under way presently. We apologize for the inconvenience."
"This is bad . . ." Natsu said with a sweatdrop as he hurriedly got his back. "Gotta go!!!"
"Do you think I'd allow that?!!" Kageyama roared as he stood up and rubbed away the blood from his nose. "You attacked a member of Eisenwald!!! Don't even think that it ends here, you fly!!!"
"I'm going to remember your face, too!!!" Natsu said and turned to glare at him. "You dug your own grave when you insulted Fairy Tail!!"
At that moment, the train started going forward again.
"Next time we're taking this outside . . ." Natsu started but was quickly interrupted by a severe case of nausea.
Natsu quickly jumped out of a window and flew backwards as the train continued rushing forward. As he flew through the air, he quickly saw his teammates approaching in a magic mobile.
"Natsu?!!" Jellal exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock.
"Why is he jumping from the train?!!" Juvia exclaimed in surprise as she and Lucy leaned out of the window.
Natsu eventually came to a stop when he hit the package on the top of the magic mobile and painfully hit the ground.
Jellal quickly stepped on the breaks and got the magic mobile to a stop.
"Natsu, are you all right?!!" he shouted worriedly as he, Lucy, Carla, and Juvia got off of the mobile.
"What the hell, guys?!!" He cursed angrily and got up to glare at them angrily. "You left me behind!!!"
"Forgive me,"
"Sorry! 💖"
"Juvia deeply apologize,"
The girls quickly apologized when Jellal approached Natsu and hugged the younger teen who stiffened in surprise, not used to being hugged.
"I'm so glad you're all right!" he sighed in relief and let go of Natsu.
"All right?" Natsu questioned as he backed away from Jellal while rubbing his slightly warm arms. "I was just attacked by a weird guy on the train. He told me he was a member of Eisenwald."
Lucy, Juvia, and Jellal stiffened and looked at him in surprised shock.
"You absolute fool!!!!" Jellal reprimanded him angrily and slapped him. "I was searching all over from people from Eisenwald!!!"
"You didn't tell me about it . . ." Natsu groaned and rubbed his sore cheek.
"Why didn't you listen to what I was saying?!!" Jellal asked him angrily much to Natsu's confusion.
"Does he not remember knocking him out?" Carla whispered to Lucy with a scoff.
"He was on that train, huh?" scoffed Jellal as he linked himself up to the magic mobile again. "Well, we'll have to go after him. Did you notice anything special about him?"
"He didn't have much that was special . . ." Natsu answered, grimacing a little as he realized that he had to go on to a vehicle again. "He did have this skull-like flute . . . The skull had three eyes in it . . ."
"A three-eyed flute?" Juvia questioned and raised an eyebrow. "What a creepy guy!!"
"A flute with a skull that had three eyes . . ." Lucy whispered under her breath as she went deathly-pale.
"What's wrong, Lucy . . . ?" Carla asked worriedly when she noticed her pale face.
"It can't be . . ." Lucy started shaking which caught everyone's attention. "That is just a made-up story. But . . . But if that flute could put out a spell song . . . Lullaby . . . Sleep . . . Death . . . That flute is Lullaby!!!! The spell song Lullaby . . . It's 'death' magic!!!!"
"What?!" Jellal questioned with wide eyes.
"A spell song?" Juvia asked her with a confused expression.
"I've only read about it in books, but it's one of the forbidden types of magic!!" Lucy explained to the others. "Death curses, you know?"
"Yeah . . . Just as the name implies, it's a black magic that puts the victim under a curse that causes him to die." Jellal agreed as he looked over at Lucy.
"Lullaby is worse than that," Lucy told them with a dark look on her face.
. . .
. . .
. . .
Around the same time, the train got taken over by Eisenwald.
"Get the passengers and conductors off!" Erigor commanded as his men forced everyone off. "Everything goes off!! This train now belongs to Eisenwald!!"
Screams and crying were heard all over the Kunugi station as people tried to rush to secret.
"We heard you were coming back by this train, so we waited for you, Kageyama," Erigor commented as he finds Kageyama sitting on the train.
"I somehow managed to break through the seal," Kageyama chuckled as he handed over the flute to Erigor. "Here it is,"
"Oh . . ." Erigor mused in interest as he accepted the flute. "So this is the forbidden magic item Lullaby?!"
"Yeahh!!!" all of the Eisenwald members cheered in celebration as they saw the flute.
"That's Kage-chan for you!!!" the man with the whiskers grinned.
"It means that our plans are complete!!!" the man next to him nodded in approval.
"This flute used to be nothing more than a tool used in death curses," Erigor explained to his men with a sinister grin. "But the great black wizard Zeref upgraded it into a full-fledged magic flute. He changed it into something very frightening, huh . . . ? Anyone who hears the sound of the flute falls under a death curse . . . The mass-murder curse magic, Lullaby!!!! Let's get started, our mission is under way!!!"
. . .
. . .
. . .
Miles away, Jellal was speeding as fast as he could with the magic-mobile.
"Mass-murder curse magic?!!" Jellal growled under his breath in magic as he speed forward. "If that kind of thing gets into Erigor's hands . . . Dammit!!! Who are they planning to use it against?!!!"
