Notes:

This is a Megstiel story, but there will also be two other main couples that I really like. And maybe later some other couples too.
This story is something that came to my mind while reading other wonderful Megstiel stories that we have here from equally wonderful authors. So I decided to write it.
I don't know if it was very good, but I decided to take a chance and I hope you like it as much as I did and I still enjoy writing.
My mother tongue is not English, so I apologize for any mistakes.
I will also leave here in each chapter some songs that inspired me and that I listened to and still listen to as I write this story.
Some might remind me of one of the couples or some character, some might have something to do with the chapter. But it won't always be like that, sometimes it's just songs I like to listen to while writing. That's my opinion and if you don't agree, that's fine too.
I hope you enjoy reading and enjoy my contribution to another Megstiel fanfic. We have a few, but I love them all and appreciate all the authors who publish them and all Megstiel fans.
I already have seven chapters ready, but I've set a goal for myself not to post a new chapter until I've written at least two more. So be patient with me.
The songs for this first chapter will be:
Sia - Alive
2wei - Survivor (Destiny's Child Cover)

kisses and until next time, cookies! 😘😊

Chapter Text

Meg wakes up in a forest, she knows this because she can feel the earth and the leaves beneath her, hear the sounds of trees and animals and smell the fresh and clean air that is not found in the city. She doesn't know what happened and her eyes refuse to open, but she tries and a few seconds later manages to squeeze them half-open and then blink them in the bright sunlight. The brightness hurts her eyes and she closes them again.

Your head hurts, your body is heavy. As if lead ran through his veins and not blood. Confused, yes, confusion is a good word for what she's feeling right now. What the hell is happening? The last thing she remembers is pain, yes pain, excruciating fire coursing through her insides, burning her insides, and... Crowley.

Crowley killed her.

Meg realizes, opening her eyes wide, she's dead. Well, or she should be. She closes her eyes again with a weary sigh. What the hell!

She drags her hand down to her abdomen, right where Crowley stabbed her. But she can only feel the smooth, smooth skin of her vessel, no scars or scratches. As if nothing had happened. As if she hadn't been killed by an angelic sword. She doesn't know how this is possible. Meg also can't feel the burn scars left by the holy fire from when Clarence threw her into the fire and walked right over her, literally.

A groan next to her has her opening her eyes again. Forcing her head to move to the side, Meg tries to see who or what made the sound. Looking up, she sees a few meters away from her, a young redhead who seems to have as much trouble waking up as she does.

With some effort Meg sits up groaning and looks around, discovering that she and the redhead aren't the only ones there. She brushes off a lock of hair that has fallen across her face and is happy to find it's back to the rich dark brown it once was and not the hideous blonde Crowley forced on her. Meg looks back around the forest and notices that two women, blondes, and a scrawny boy are also spread out in the clearing beside them. What the fuck is going on? Why the hell am I in a forest – who knows where – with four other unknown people?

As the others begin to wake up to varying levels of moaning, whimpering, and cursing, Meg forces her wobbly, wobbly legs to her feet. Damn it! Dying is not good for anyone. I'm a demon for the love of satan! It shouldn't be so difficult to recover. Clarence, you owe me more than a pizza for dying for you and those two chess-loving idiots!

Castiel, where could that treetop be? Still alive he waits. She's going to have to find out, but first Meg has to find out who her campmates are and why the hell they're there.

“So who are you? Does anyone know where we are or why we are here?” she asks and four pairs of eyes turn to her.

"You! You bitch!" one of the blondes yells at her. Small, light blonde hair, warm brown eyes and fierce attitude.

Meg's eyes widen imperceptibly, she recognizes the petite blonde, Jo Harvelle, was caught by a hellhound in Carthage when Meg sent them on the Winchesters and their little group. Great, stuck in the middle of a forest with someone who hates me. Story of my fucking life! And who will she not be able to kill again if not the Winchesters were angered and her angel disappointed.

Hell, since when did it matter what that damn cloud-jumping and his pets thought?

Meg sighs in resignation and annoyance when she discovers the answer.

Since he kissed you.

Ugh! Damn the angel for making her cling to him! And damn him twice for liking the Winchesters so much! Now she'll have to work hard to avoid being killed by little Huntress Barbie, as she tries even harder not to strangle her with her own guts.

For Crowley's heart on a skewer, may the others not be someone I also caused the death. Because holding back from killing one will be hard enough.

“So you remember me, Barbie?” Meg smiles a teasing smile as her eyes flash black. " That's great. After all, the last time we met, you became my hellhound's chew toy."

Meg knows she shouldn't tease the other girl. Mainly about her death. But she doesn't care. She is amused to see the little blonde's face contort in fury and turn red with rage. His eyes burning into Meg's with a hot, overwhelming fury.

“You demon bitch! I died because of you! Because of you my mother died! I will kill you!" Jo howls as she lunges for Meg. Easily dodging the girl's blows, Meg smiles fiercely. Small and fierce, I like it. In the next move Meg grabs Jo's arms, spins her around and knocks her to the floor trapping her.

“Listen here Barbie, I have nothing against you, I understand you want to kill me, but you're not going to make it. And if you keep trying, I'm going to kill you, which will make Moose and Squirrel upset. And that will make my angel upset and I don't like it. So hold on to your panties until we sort out the problem we're in now, and then we can figure out what to do to sort out this...disagreement of ours." Meg says as she still holds the girl who kept struggling beneath her.

A few more minutes of thrashing, threatening, and cursing Meg, Jo calms down – pretty much as calm as you can when you're in the company of the person who's responsible for her death – and agrees to a truce. But only after Charlie and Kevin get involved and declare that now is not the time for fights and that they should be concentrating on finding out what is happening to them. But they still look at her suspiciously and a little afraid. Meg smiles sweetly to them.

“Alright, truce. But I'll be watching you, if you try anything I'll kill you." The little blonde threatens when Meg lets her go.

"You can try." Meg mocks. “But don't worry Barbie, I'm on your side, I want to see my angel again and I'm not going to do anything to take him away from me. And kill you, any one of you would do that. Not to mention I'd put the fucking Winchesters up my ass and that's something I don't want. We can work together to find the High and Low Winchesters and with them my unicorn. I will do you no harm, none of you. Girl Scout Promise."

If you don't piss me off too much, Meg thinks. Holy patience, it will be difficult. What don't I do for you, Clarence?

“I don't believe you, bitch. I'll be keeping an eye out and if you try anything -"

"You kill me. Yes, yes, we've been through this. Feel free to try, it will be your skin that you will be risking. I'm not afraid of you, but it's okay keep an eye on me all you want, the only thing you'll see is me trying to find my way back to my angel wrapped in an overcoat."

"Great, now that we're all on the same page and not trying to kill each other, we can introduce ourselves and decide what to do next." The redhead interrupts before the two other women get stuck threatening and mocking each other. Or one of them dies.

“I'm Charlie, by the way,” the redhead continues. “And I know it's going to sound crazy, but I died. Or at least I had… died the last time I can remember?” She looked a little confused and scared, but she was fine considering the whole resurrection thing.

"I was dead too." Jo responds. "My name is Jo, Jo Harvelle."

"Meg" she says not bothering to say anything else.

"Kevin, also dead." the boy replies. Kevin? Where does she remember that name?

"The Prophet!" Charlie screams excitedly. “You're Kevin Tran! Sam and Dean told me about you, but we never met. " Of course! Kevin Tran, Advanced Placement. The scared, frightened boy who broke into the asylum and stole the Winchesters' Rock of God. He looks different, Meg realizes, squinting at the boy, older, thinner, more tired. Hmm, being a prophet is really a shit job.

“Sam and Dean Winchester?” a sweet, frightened voice asks and they look at the other blonde in the group. She's already up and is standing next to them with wide eyes and panic as she takes in everything around her. She's taller than all of them, Meg realizes.

"Yeah. You know them?" Jo asks. Which Meg thinks is a stupid question. It's clear to her that the Winchesters are involved in this, as always! And obviously everyone there knows them, because you can't even die in peace when you know those two. It's a curse, Meg is sure.

“Sam is my boyfriend,” the girl replies. "Or he was my boyfriend... at Stanford when I... died."

Her eyes widen as the realization of the statement hits her and Meg can only watch as the panic in her eyes grows and the girl starts screaming and crying.

"I DIED! OH MY GOD I DIED! A STRANGE MAN WITH YELLOW EYES KILLED ME! HE HOLD ME TO THE CEILING AND BURNED ME! HOW THE HELL AM I HERE?!”

“Jessica?!” Meg, Jo, Charlie and Kevin ask at the same time.

Great, this one was killed by my dad. Amazing, fucking fantastic, Meg thinks wearily. At least the 2.0 blonde doesn't seem to be able to do anything to her like the first edition Huntress. Not that she has a chance.

"Do you know me? What is happening?! Where is Sam?! " Jessica makes several questions in quick succession, the panic is still there, her eyes are wide, looking at everything and everyone, her voice shakes with the tears she is holding, she is trying to control herself. Trying to be the keyword.

"No, we do not know you. At least I do not. " Charlie responds and looks at others with a question in his eyes to which everyone waves his head confirming that they do not know her either. "But we know Sam and Dean. At least I know them? " Another look and another confirmation of all. "And that's where we know who you are, and where Sam and Dean are -"

"We do not know," Meg interrupts. "From what I am seeing, the standard here is that we all know the Winchester, we were dead and for some reason we are no longer. And now we must find out where the hell we are, to find out where the hell the marvelous twins and her angel are and, then we find out how, because and what brought us back, "she explains her. ”Surely the three Stooges, they got into some apocalyptic shit as always, and left for us to have to help them take their asses off her, which will end up killing us again."

"Well, I would not have explained this way, but, yes, basically." Charlie agrees with the explanation of Meg. Which is, a demon if black eyes are indication enough. And they are. She has heard of her, she read the 'supernatural' books, and also heard Sam, Dean and Cas bring the name of the devil a few times; But they never got into many details. Then she knew little about the demon, except that she was an enemy that turned allied, more or less, that she had a strange relationship happening with the angel, perhaps, and that she sacrificed herself for the winchester and Castiel.

"Alright, I'll ask the million dollar question." Kevin starts. “Where the hell are we?”

"Well I do not know. But one thing I'm sure of,” Meg replies and smiles teasingly at Kevin. “It's nowhere in hell. I knew it."

Kevin looks exasperated and rolls his eyes. “Funny little girl”

"I know, thank you! I really am hilarious.” Meg mocks the grimace Kevin makes at her and Jo's eye roll. “So how about we get the hell out of here and find out where the hell we are and how we found Rochy and Bullwinkle and the feather brain, hmm?”

"Hang on! I'm not leaving here until someone explains to me what's happening. And where do you guys know Sam from!" Jessica exclaims fiercely.

It looks like the little white dove has claws! I'm chocked! Meg thinks sarcastically.

“I don't know if you've noticed Cinderella, but we don't know where we are or what's going on. But answering her question from where we know sweet giant Sam from, the answer is simple: from hunting”, impatient Meg replies rolling her eyes at the tall girl. "Everyone here has been involved in something supernatural or like me, it's something supernatural and that's where we met the Winchesters."

"Supernatural? Hunting? What does that mean? Sam doesn't hunt.” Confused Jessica shakes her head, dismissing the demon's words.

“Oh, but he does honey. He and his brother are the best hunters and the most difficult to kill. Those two look like cockroaches, believe me I've tried to kill them once or twice and I've seen many others try too, but the two idiots seem to have an unlimited amount of lives" Meg scoffs scornfully.

"I do not understand. Why would you want to kill Sam? He never hurt anyone.” Jessica is even more confused, what is this woman trying to say? Hunting? Jess has never seen Sam touch a gun, let alone hunt. Supernatural? What does she mean by supernatural? Vampires, werewolves, that sort of thing? They don't exist, do they? No, no are there. Sam would have told her, he wouldn't have kept something like that from her, would he?

“Ha! Tell that to all the monsters, demons and angels he's killed." Meg laughs and scoffs.

“Monsters? Devils? That does not exist! You are lying to me!"

“I'm not lying to you, girl. If anyone lied to you it was little Sammy who didn't tell you what he and his family do, what they hunt at night. Monsters, angels and demons exist and Sam and his brother have hunted them their whole lives.” Meg retorts already getting annoyed with the taller girl's confusion.

Giant just like her boyfriend's moose. Or ex-boyfriend? Screw this.

“It's time to wake up and discover that everything you grew up listening to as a fairy tale, that the monsters in the stories your parents told you to scare you are real. And a proof for you is me, a demon in flesh and blood and smoke here in front of you!”

With that Meg lets her eyes go black. Jessica screams and backs away from Meg in fear and panic. A dark, sardonic smile graces the demon's features at the other girl's reaction.

“Meg,” Charlie groans in disapproval. "You might not have scared her like that, she's already confused and panicked enough."

"What? She would have to find out at some point. Now at least she'll have her panic attack while we're here, in the middle of this forest with no one but the four of us to see. So as we get out of here and try to find the three musketeers, she can absorb and deal with all the revelations that she's been suffering and finding out about the world and her boyfriend.” Meg explains.

Charlie gives her a narrow, suspicious look before nodding and going to join Jo and Kevin in trying to calm a panicked Jessica. Meg chooses to stay away, knowing that approaching now will only make the blonde panic worse.

Humans, always so sensitive and scandalous about everything. Meg rolls her eyes at the thought. She should get the hell out of here and let these idiots fuck themselves. So why are you still here? A little voice in her mind asks, and she knows why, that damn angel. You really owe me, Clarence. Making me worry about your opinion and idiot humans!

Nearly an hour later, Jessica calmed down and everyone answered her million questions about Sam, monsters, and everything supernatural. Meg will give it to her for taking everything so well, she's only had four panic attacks in all and hasn't passed out or cried in any. Maybe the blonde has more to her than Meg initially thought. She's still scared of her, but also curious, keeping away from Meg as much as possible, but still listening to her and asking questions whenever she doesn't understand something.

"Okay, now that Jessica is up to date and on top of the whole supernatural world and what Sam does for a living, let's get out of here and find out where we are." Meg tells everyone when Jessica's questions have been answered. For now at least.

Everyone agrees and starts walking through the woods, with Meg leading the way with Charlie at her side while the other three stay behind them.

Chapter Text

They manage to get ten minutes of silence at the beginning of the walk, which Meg considers a long time considering the company she's in. Jessica seems to be pretty lost in her mind, no doubt thinking about everything she's learned about the world and Sam, which is sure to leave her with more questions to ask.

Kevin looks nervous, which seems to make him uneasy. And Meg has the slight feeling that when the boy gets nervous he tends to open his mouth and not stop. She very much hopes to be wrong.

Jo seems to be the quietest of them all, showing no desire to strike up a conversation, like Jessica, also lost in her mind. No doubt planning a thousand different ways to kill Meg, each one more painful than the last. Cute.

Charlie seems to be trying hard not to speak, as if the others' silence influences her to keep her mouth shut. But soon she can't take it anymore and gives up on her poor attempt to keep her questions to herself.

“Earlier you talked about an angel, is that Cas?”

Meg doesn't stop walking as she looks at the redhead next to her and answers. "Yes. You know Clarence, then?"

“Yeah, a little weird and off, but really cute.” Charlie answers. She's curious about Meg, she doesn't know a lot about her. The few times Charlie had heard the demon mentioned - and that was only twice - it seemed to be a touchy subject. Cass always looks sad and tries to avoid the subject, like it's painful to say her name or even think about her.

Sam looks a little sad, not as much as Cas, but still sad and mostly guilty. Why? Charlie has no idea, but he has that Sam Winchester-patented kicked-dog face that makes you want to pick him up and comfort him. He's really good with that face. And Dean, well Dean looks pissed. As if bringing up the subject of 'Meg' made him angry and confused, and he'd rather avoid the subject as much as possible or not talk about it for, well, ever.

But Dean is always angry about something, and when it comes to Meg, after Charlie read the 'Supernatural' books which were written by Chuck who is (or was?) a prophet, and read everything bad that Meg did to them she can understand your anger, but the confusion is what confuses it.

It's like he doesn't know what to feel about the demon. There is anger, certainly the anger is there, but there is also something else that is not defined, perhaps gratitude or another not very well defined feeling that makes him even more angry and that he prefers not to discover.

So yes, Charlie is curious about Meg. She wants to know about this demon who helped and died for three of the people most important to her. Sam and Dean are like brothers to her, and even though she isn't as close to Cas as she is to Sam and especially Dean, she still considers him a friend, okay, maybe even a brother too. Those three look like they come all in a three-in-one package.

And what better time to find out more about this controversial and strange demon who is so tied to your family than now? When the two are wandering through a forest in an unknown place, having come back from the dead with three more people in tow. Perfect!

Now I can really feel like a Winchester, thinks Charlie. Part of the family. Now I can say I died and came back to life, got the badge of honor bitches! Swallow this universe!

“He's a jerk, but yeah, he's cute. That silly little pansy.” a soft smile playing on Meg's lips at her words. What the demon tries to hide, but Charlie can still see.

“Cas is very cool. The last time I saw the two of you together he was a little obsessed with you, all protective and worried.” Kevin chimes in with a teasing smile for the demon.

Meg rolls her eyes at the kid. “He also had his omelette scrambled. All crazy and zen about being a pacifist and those damn bees! His marbles were messed up and he wouldn't leave me alone no matter how far I ran from him."

“I guess you didn't really want to run away from him, Meg. You always seemed very protective and even a little affectionate with the angel. And he, well, Cas seemed really into you.” He looks at her with a shit-eating grin on his face.

Meg blushes and looks away muttering a “Shut up, heavenly Google translator”.

Kevin laughs and Charlie joins in. Meg throws them evil looks, but they don't stop. Maybe I should make some threats and make it clear to the two idiots that I'm still a demon and can disembowel them so easily I won't break a sweat. She thinks, but a smile still appears on her face. Damn it! You made me soft, Clarence. And I don't know if I like it.

"Speaking of the angel, how was he last you saw him?" Meg asks Kevin.

Kevin takes a few seconds to respond. The last time he saw Cas, he was human and didn't seem to be getting along very well with this new aspect of his life. What Kevin can understand, he also didn't handle it very well when he went from being a normal teenager - concerned only with keeping his grades up and getting into the Ivy League, going to his dream college and making his mother proud -, to a prophet of God.

It sucked, it still sucks, but he's more used to that aspect of his life now. And as Castiel once so kindly did the favor of yelling at him, he will never get his life back the way it was. His only way out of this is death, but even in death he couldn't get out of that shit. He's better off just accepting that this is his life now, whining about it won't do anything for him.

At least I still have my mom, Sam, Dean and Cas, thinks Kevin trying to comfort himself.

And he can't even imagine how much harder this is for Castiel. The guy is alive, he exists, since the beginning of creation. Going from being an angel, an extremely strong and powerful being, to a human must not have been easy. Having to adapt to a life with difficulties, needs, and ways that were nothing to him before as a powerful Celestial being. Sure enough, he turned his world upside down.

"Last time I saw him, Cas was human."

"What?!" Meg almost screams and turns to look at him, eyes wide. So Kevin spends the next few minutes telling everyone what happened before he died.

"I'll fucking kill him!" Meg exclaims angrily. "That damn lumberjack project had the fucking nerve to kick my unicorn out when he needed him the most? When he was most vulnerable and being hunted by all sorts of things! Damned ungrateful man, after all Castiel has done for him and his asshole brother, this is how he repays?! Heartless son of a bitch, stupid asshole!”

Meg continues with a long list of insults against the Winchesters, mainly Dean, showing everyone her extensive knowledge of profanity. Some she even says in other tongues, which none of them understand, but they sure aren't pleasant. At least Charlie thinks not. After Meg recovers somewhat from her outburst and cools down her temper a bit, Charlie decides to risk speaking again.

“He has regained his grace.”

"What?"

“Cas, he's regained his grace. It took a while and he went through some struggles, but he gets it back.” Charlie explains and then it's her turn to tell what she knows happened. Everyone listens attentively, always someone interrupting with a question, joke or exclamation. And a few sneers, mostly from Meg.

Before she gets to the part of her own death, they reach civilization. Which Charlie thanks, she still doesn't want to talk about her death. And the distraction will be good for everyone.

“And now what shall we do?” Jessica asks looking at everyone for answers.

“First we need to know where we are, then we need to get a car, money, weapons and food.” Jo answers.

“And clothes.” Kevin points. “Look, my clothes are fine, even if they are not the most suitable for a trip. But yours?” he points to the four women. “they won't work, they all have blood, tears or they look like they came out of a horror movie or a massacre” he says the last one pointing to Meg and Jo, who are the ones with the most torn and bloody clothes.

"He's right, I'm in a bloodstained nightgown." Jessica points to the blood on her white nightgown.

“Yes, Jess is right. All of us but Kevin have tears and blood all over our clothes. And Kevin is in pajamas. It's not going to go around like that. We’re going to end up getting arrested or thinking we’re crazy.” Charlie agrees.

“Okay then, clothes too,” Meg declares. “I'll get the money. Jo can you get the car?”

“Sure, Easy”

"I think we're going to need IDs and documents in case we're ever stopped by the police." Charlie says.

“Okay, you and Kevin being the nerds on the team will be responsible for the fake IDs and everything we need in terms of documents.” Meg answers and then turns to Jessica. “Blonde, would you rather go with me, Barbie, or the nerds over there?”

“I think I'll go with Charlie and Kevin, too much has happened today for me. Coming back from the dead is fine to be the weirdest thing to happen to me today, I'll save the theft for another day, thanks"

“Okay. You go forgery of documents, that’s fine with me.” Meg shrugs and starts walking towards a store with the other four following. “Let's find out where the hell we are.”

After finding out where they are, Bar Harbor, Maine they split up. Meg goes in search of money, Jo goes in search of a car and Charlie, Kevin and Jessica go after the fake IDs. They agree to meet in front of a store when everyone has completed their missions.

    ####                      😈😇

It's not that hard for Jo to find a car. It's not the first time she's stolen one, and it sure won't be the last.

After walking around town for a while, Jo finds a black SUV in good condition that is big enough to hold the five of them plus everything they need for their trip. Not her ideal car type, she likes the classics better, but they'll have to switch cars and abandon this one before long anyway. Now necessity is coming before preference. And the classics aren't as easy to find anymore, not like they used to apparently.

She returns to their meeting place and there she can see Meg waiting. She hates her and would like nothing more than to stick a knife in her throat. But the demon bitch is right about them needing to band together to find the Winchesters and their angel. And no knife she finds will be able to kill her anyway. Unless she can find an angel sword or demon knife lying around. Which she finds very unlikely to happen, unfortunately.

And from what Jo has heard from Charlie, Kevin and Meg herself, do the demon and the angel have some sort of relationship? How it works? Jo doesn't know, but that's weird. An angel and a demon together? Shouldn't they necessarily be enemies? Shouldn't they kill each other rather than start having affection for each other? Or whatever they feel about each other.

But she has to admit, Castiel was never a normal angel. From what she remembers him – the little she knew of him – he was different. And she doesn't want an angry angel after her for killing her lover – or whatever Meg is to Castiel – she'd rather wait and see if what the demon says about being on their side is true. She doesn't trust Meg, and may never trust or forgive her for her hand in her mother's death, but if she's been given a second chance at life like Jo and the others, maybe there's a good reason. And if not? Jo will be ready to fulfill her promise to Meg and kill her.

Jo parks, gets out of the car and walks towards the demon. Fury roaring through his veins again at the memory of her death and the demon's part in it.

Jo walks over to Meg, determined not to let the demon crawl under her skin. She won't let the bitch get her mad. Jo can work with the demon, she just needs to interact as little as possible with her and ignore her most of the time. This way it will be easy to get through this damn ordeal. She can see the teasing smile on Meg's lips as the demon sees her approach. Damn the fuck is so annoying!

"And the others?"

“They haven’t arrived yet.” Meg shrugs and looks from Jo to the car. “Nice carriage you have arranged, Barbie.”

“Why do you do that?”

There goes the calm.

"What?" Meg asks confused.

“These nicknames! Can't you call us by our names?" Jo demands, teeth clenched angrily. That demon knows how to climb under my skin. “Always mocking everyone and everything. You are so irritating!”

“That's how I am, get used to it. I do this with everything and everyone, like you said, don't take it personally. If you don't like it, just ignore it, Barbie.”

“Jesus, this truce is going to suck to keep.” Jo huffs irritably.

"I know, we're going to fight like cats and dogs the entire way." Meg leers at the other girl. “But we're both strong, a few scratches won't stop us. You're fierce, Jo, stronger than anyone gives you credit for. I like it."

Jo's eyes widen at Meg's words. A smile almost comes to her lips at the demon's boldness, but she holds it back. The world really is crazy. A demon praising a hunter. Ha! Now that's a joke, Jo thinks amusedly.

Maybe Meg is right, the road for both of them will be full of potholes and obstacles and they won't come out of it in one piece, but they are strong enough to overcome it. Or die fighting, it wouldn't be the first time.

Damn! I like the ferocity and sarcasm of this damn killer.

“I still don't trust or like you.” Jo clarifies for the demon.

“Fine, I don't trust or like you either. But that doesn't stop us from working together.” Meg says as she looks into Jo's eyes. “Those three idiots need help not to get killed again before we get to where Squirrel and Moose are hiding with the Angel Cake. And the two of us are the only ones who really know anything about surviving in this crazy, dangerous world and everything they throw at us, and we're going to have to band together to drag those three asses and ours safely to the Winchesters.”

"All right. You got the money?” Jo changes the subject, not liking the fact that she and the bitch demon think alike. May they get along well.

"Of course! Who do you think I am? We have a lot of cash and stolen credit cards to keep us going for a while.” Meg responds, ignoring and not commenting on the blonde's abrupt change of subject.

“Fine. Why are we going to need it, I feel this trip will be long and dangerous.” Jo looks around for any trace of the other three companions. She doesn't want to be alone with Meg any longer than necessary.

“And when isn't it? Danger is a constant in this life, especially the Winchesters', and apparently it's contagious. Anyone who joins those two seems to be in constant danger. And then die. We certainly aren't free of it just by suddenly coming back to life. If anything, it endangers us even more.” Meg says nonchalantly.

“And when the demons find out I'm alive, they'll all want a piece of my sexy ass.” What Meg doubts will take a long time to happen with their luck. “And the rest of you won't be out of the loop, sister. Any half-brained monster or demon is going to want leverage against the Winchesters, and you are the complete package.” She continues.

"You'd also be good leverage against Castiel from what I've heard so far." Jo provokes. She can't resist teasing the demon and trying to find out more about this strange relationship that the demon and angel apparently have.

“Mmm. Maybe yes maybe no. But I'm a big girl and I can hold my own.” Meg retorts. She came out of worse things. The biggest issue here is the others. And even though Jo seems to have been a good hunter, she's been out of the game for a few years now. Dead. Damn, Meg herself has been out of the game for a while, and that's even before she died, after all she spent a year and a half being tortured by Crowley and his brainless; it might take a while to get back in the game and be as sharp as before. But she sure is better than everyone else, after all, she is still a demon.

“I can also hold myself.”

“I hope so Barbie, because I have a feeling the others won't be as helpful in the fight department.” Which will be something they will have to change.

"Yes. So we'll have to stay under the radar and fly low. Without drawing attention.” Jo declares already forming plans in her mind for any unforeseen.

“Yes, that would be good.”

“We’re back, bitches!” Charlie says upon arriving with Jessica and Kevin following not far behind. Jo and Meg look at her with very similar, intimidating expressions of curiosity and amusement. "What's up? How was your missions? Successful I hope.”

"Yes. And you got it all?” Meg narrows her eyes at the redhead.

“Yes, that's okay. Now we all have brand new IDs and driver's licenses.” Charlie responds cheerfully. “I even snagged some fake badges in case we needed it.”

Charlie winks at the two women in front of her. She will own up, she is proud of herself. Kevin helped her and Jess as well as she could, but that's her department and she's very good at it. The best. Pat you on the back Charlie! You still rock, girl.

“These are for you,” Kevin says handing Jo an ID, driver's license and badge. Then he turns to Meg. “And these are for you.”

The two take the documents and look at their new names. Meg arches an eyebrow at the three of them as she reads the name on her ID.

“Megara Summers? Am I a Disney princess now?”

"What? Hercules is my favorite Disney movie!” Charlie defends himself. “And we all agree that you being Meg and all badass, hell-bound, full of sarcasm and all—"

"You'd make a good Megara." Kevin interrupts Charlie's rambling.

Meg shrugs nonchalantly and rolls her eyes. “Okay for me. You know, the first person I possessed after I became a demon and left hell was a Megara.”

"Seriously? When was that? Do you remember being human? Were you ever human?" curious Jess asks. She doesn't know much about demons and Meg intrigues her, she doesn't seem to be how demons are depicted. Evil, cruel and without feelings.

“A long time ago, thousands of years. And yes, I think I was once human, I don't remember my previous life. The older you are, the less you remember your life before the pit and some things after. Torture doesn't help keep your mind intact."

Meg answers, she doesn't say she remembers a few memories. Or that her father, Azazel, told her some things. Things she should know about herself. Hardly any of these memories are very good or worth remembering. She doesn't want to talk about it, so she keeps quiet and doesn't go into detail.

"How old are you?" comes Charlie's question.

“Old enough to see Jesus' crucifixion. I was already a demon for a few millennia at that time.”

"Oh really? Did you see Jesus' crucifixion?" Charlie asks amazed. "How it was?"

“One hell of a show. Now let's go buy some clothes and then decide what to do next.” Meg diverts the conversation, she is not going to start sharing her life experience now.

"All right."

And with that they move on.

###                         😈😇

After getting some clothes, shoes and everything they needed in terms of clothing, they split up again. Jo and Meg go in search of weapons, while the other three race in search of food, cell phones and a computer.

When everyone gathers again the sun is starting to set. Darkness is slowly taking over the world, warning that another day is coming to an end. They gather around the car's hood, a map spread out in front of them.

“Okay, we're here,” Jo marks an 'x' at their location with a red marker. “and here is Sam and Dean's secret Bunker Kevin and Charlie told us about.” Another brand, this one now in Lebanon, Kansas.

"Yes, that's probably where we'll find them." Charlie points. “The Batcave is my bet.”

“It's about a thirty hour drive there. Get ready kids, it will be one hell of a ride.” Meg declares and they all groan, demonstrating their delight at the idea of spending thirty hours trapped in a car with each other. “Okay, let's get this show on the road.”

They all get in the car with Charlie driving, Jo in the shotgun and Meg, Jess and Kevin in the back seat not happy about the next few hours they'll have to spend together, packed like sardines in the damn car.

Certainly a particular kind of hell.

Notes:

Here's the second chapter!

It took a long time, I know, but the inspiration had gone and I ended up walking away. But I'm back and I'll post more if all goes well. Enjoy and until next time.
