Chapter 1: The great(or dumb) idea
Chapter Text
“Your highness, a guest wishes to speak with you.” The fallen guardian kneels.
“Really? Send them in then.” Fallen king demanded.
The fallen guardian stood up and left to do as requested.
He had a long day, just coming back from an attack he made at the bothersome towers. They had always intervened in his plans on conquering lands preventing him from making to the base. Damn Commander and his foolish towers.
How were those small annoying pests able to defeat the powerful army he had?
Before he could answer that someone had entered the room.
“Hiya Fallen king how have you been?” A bandaged hooded figure entered the room so casually as if he didn’t know who he was.
Unfortunately, they did know each other.
‘Damn it, not this again.’
“What do you want, Grave Digger?” Fallen king said unamused. Bothered with the lack of manners.
“I just wanted to see what you were doing, c’mon don’t be like that!” Grave Digger pouted.
“Well, If you were here just for that, then you can get out while you still can.” Fallen king was starting to get impatient. He had no time to mess around.
Grave Digger ignored the threat and approached his edgy buddy.
“I have something fun you can do!”
“Not interested.” Fallen king began to walk away.
“Come on! Me and the other bosses agreed that you should do this!” Grave Digger, desperate, followed him.
“Ugh fine, what do you want?” Fallen stopped and turned, looking down at the big zombie.
“You’re always busy with taking over lands and stuff that you barely have time to relax and fool around ya know?” Grave digger happily explained his idea.
“And I came up with an idea with I’m sure you’ll love!”
“And what may that be?” Fallen king knew it was going to be something really stupid.
“You should write stories!” Grave Digger exclaimed.
Fallen king remained silent and then immediately cringed.
“Why do you think that’s a good idea you brain dead idiot!?” Fallen king had enough, he knew it was going to waste his time.
“But you always write a lot and maybe you could make that a hobby, ya know?” Grave Digger remarked and slightly frowned at the insult.
“You could nurture that talent of writing and become a famous author!”
“I’d rather take over the world.”
“Then you could be an amazing writer on your way to become a dictator!”
Fallen thought for a moment, questioning if he really should consider Grave Digger’s ridiculous idea.
‘Eh let’s give it a try.’
“Fine but you better not make fun of my writing.” Fallen king accepted.
“Great! The others can’t wait to read what you have in store!” Grave Digger happily leaves the dark castle ready to share the news.
Fallen king heads to his room and opened his laptop. Which he conveniently had on his desk.
“Ugh, where should I even start?”
Chapter 2: Just be friends
Summary:
Fallen king is salty about commander defeating his army so he writes angst about him and Dj.
Chapter Text
Fallen king paced back and forth in his room struggling to come up with a prompt to write.
“What do I even write about? I have no clue!”
That’s when the light bulb lit up.
“How about I start with a short story like a one shot about something sad since I’m in the mood.”
He began to think about the plot and had it all sort out until he had to come up with the characters.
“Hmmmm, I’ll use Commander for this one to humiliate and make him miserable in one way or another.” Fallen king maliciously smirked.
“How about we destroy his relationship with Dj since it’s so annoying to see how much they care about each other.”
He then started to write the tragic story.
_______
Commander woke up early in the morning just as the sun rose and looked out the window with something on his mind.
He and Dj had been in a loving relationship for a good amount of time and all the towers knew about their relationship. They had supported their relationship and even teased them a bit when they were acting lovely dovey to each other.
It was happy and going well at the beginning, but a few years went by in their relationship commander started to feel a bit different. A feeling deep in his heart that something wasn’t right.
The days go by and Commander had started to feel as if something was missing, a feeling that was once there but was slowly unknowingly being dissolved as time went by. Back then, he loved Dj with all his heart, blushing at his silly flirting.
But now it was different. Every time they would go out, he would try to rebuild that love that was once there and fix his relationship. He would try to stick with him more, talk more, cuddle more, kiss more.
Unfortunately every time he was slowly releasing it wasn’t going to work.
‘What am I even doing, all the times I try it all keeps tumbling down.’
He gets dressed preparing for the long day that awaited him. Including his dying relationship.
Just seeing Dj made his stomach hurt, but he still didn’t give up. He didn’t wasn’t to imagine how Dj would feel when he spills out how he really felt.
But deep down, at the bottom of his heart, there was only one answer. All of his attempts had failed and it would only get worse if he kept it going. Commander didn’t want to accept the answer, he refused to believe it.
Water drops slowly feel out of his saddened eyes. With his stubbornness out of the way, the answer simple yet hard.
He had to tell Dj soon, otherwise he would end up with a oblivious one-sided broken bond.
What was the answer?
Just be friends. That was all they had to do.
A part of Commander had hope Dj knew that too.
_______
“Hey Dj, we need to talk.”
“Yeah, maybe we should talk.”
_________
Fallen king chuckled after finishing his work.
“Too bad it wasn’t real.”
Notes:
Any suggestions on what Fallen king should write next?
Also I can’t stop laughing everytime I read this chapter, I always have the urge to add a joke in sad stuff.
Chapter 3: What is love?
Summary:
Fallen king can't sleep so he writes about his buddies this time.
Chapter Text
It was 1 in the morning and Fallen king couldn't sleep.
'Damn, I can't sleep at all.'
Fallen king had stayed like this for a few dreadful minutes until something came up.
'I'll just write something new to pass the time. I don't have anything to do later anyway.'
So Fallen king got up from his bed and walked to his desk where his laptop was and sat down.
'Let's see...I could write about something happy this time.'
'But who should I write about?'
Fallen king had thought for a minute. Looking through his memories of all the people he met. Searching for the lucky(or unluckily) candidate for his next tale.
'Alright I'll qrite about those weirdos Umbra and Penumbras.'
After picking the winners, Fallen king began to work.
_____________
Umbra was quietly reading a book in the tower she was staying at. Nothing much was happening that day, which was kind of nice.
Until a book fell on her head from the bookshelf she was sitting next to.
'What the heck? How did that happen?'
Umbra decided to disregard how in the world the book was able to fall. She grabbed it and was about to place it back on the bookshelf.
Then she noticed the cover and title.
'How to get your crush to love you back'
She was curious on what it was about but then hesitated for a moment.
'Why should I even read this, I don't like anybody.'
She turned to put the book back on the shelf and suddenly a image of Penumbras popped up in her mind.
She smiled and blushed for a moment at the thought. But quickly realized what was happening.
'No no! I don't have a crush on him, he's my friend and knight!'
She was stubborn to admit that she indeed had a crush on her beloved Penumbras.
She decided to read the book for a bit which was kind of boring until she got to the part of the book where it said:
Do they love me back?
This part got her attention and read it carefully. She was vwry interested on this part but then immediately realized what she was doing.
'Why am I curious about Penumbras liking me?'
She continued to read the chapter and thought about her relationship with Penumbras.
'He is always talking to me, near me, respects me, makes me happy, nervous something when he is with me, and protects me...'
Her eyes made a happy expression. But then it quickly changed.
'Idiot! Of course he'll do that, he's your head knight he is suppose to protect you!'
Umbra threw the book on the ground. She was now overwhelmed with her feelings.
'Why is love so complicated?'
"Mistress, are you alright? I heard a loud noice in here." A familiar voice came in the room.
Umbra knew exactly who it was and it made her blush a lot that her face was really red.
"M-mistress are you sick? Your face is burning up!" Penumbras quickly floated to Umbra worried about her.
When he grabbed her arm and checked her forehead, Umbra reached her limit.
'Yep I definitely love him.'
Umbra finally accepted her feelings.
Now she had to see if Penumbras returned them.
"Hey Penumbras, let's go out to eat and hang out somewhere."
"H-huh? I-i mean I do want to go with y-you but are you sure you f-feel alright?" It was Now Penumbras turn to have his face red.
"Yes I am alright no need to worry." Umbra assured him still blushing quite hard.
"W-well sure let's g-go then." Penumbras said.
And so they went on their unknowingly date.
__________
"Well that was a bit mushy." Fallen king admitted. Imaginary sweat dropped.
The sun was finally up, and he had not slept a minute.
"Maybe I'll take a quick nap, not like I have anything to do anyway." Fallen king got up from his desk and headed towards his bed.
"But dang those two better get together, or it'll be more frustrating seeing how obvious they like each other." Fallen king then fell asleep.
"I apologize your Highness, but something urgent just came up." a Fallen guardian slammed the door of his chambers open the second Fallen king was about to sleep.
'WHYYYYYYYYYYY' Fallen king mentally screamed.
Notes:
Poor Fallen king getting no sleep.
Chapter 4: Party rock is in the house tonight
Summary:
Fallen king remembers something that happened a while ago and he writes about that. It wasn’t something happy that’s for sure.
Notes:
This is probably the only story that isn’t in Fallen king’s fanfiction world. This is based on a weird roleplay that happened that went even crazier than what is told here.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
“Ugghhhhh that was so tiring….” Fallen king tiredly walked into his room on the verge of falling asleep any minute.
He had recently went to a meeting with Molten boss and Grave digger about something he forgot and didn’t bother to remember.
‘Maybe I should actually go to bed now.’
He didn’t. Instead he ignored the fact that he needed rest and went straight to his laptop to write another tale for us.
“Those two pissed me off really bad today, honestly I regret going to their stupid meeting.” Fallen king grumbled.
“That reminds me, stories don’t need to be fiction, they can also be events that happened.” Fallen king suddenly felt another idea pop.
“I’ll write about that one time Grave digger did something without my damn permission.”
___________________
“Hey Fallen king do you want to come to my party that I’ll be having tonight?” Grave digger who slammed the door open asked his edgy friend.
Fallen king a few minutes ago was minding his own business until Grave digger suddenly burst the door open to his room.
“What the hell are you doing here!? You can’t just barge in here you idiot!” Fallen king yelled at him, he did not expect Grave digger at all.
In fact, how did his Fallen guardians not alert him about Grave digger coming?
“That doesn’t matter right now, I asked you a question and you better answer it!” Grave digger yelled back.
“No I do not want to go to your stupid party you are going to have!”
“Please please please, it will be really fun! It won’t be at a run down place like last time I promise.” Grave digger desperately begged with his hands grasped together.
“It will be WAY different and feel just like home!”
“NO! And that is my final answer, leave!” Fallen king sharply pointed to the door.
“Fine…” Grave digger pouted and then sighed.
As he walked out of the door he turned around for a second to ask his buddy one more thing.
“Tell me if you change your mind alright?”
“GET OUT!”
Grave digger then finally left.
Fallen stared at the door for a bit and afterwards went back to doing some paper work.
‘I have a bad feeling about this party for some reason.’
Fallen king was feeling suspicious about this party. His gut was telling him this party was going to be something he didn’t expect.
___________________
A few hours passed by and Fallen king was finally finished with his work.
It was late at night so he decided to call it a day and went to sleep.
Just when he was about to go to fall into his dreams, loud music could be heard.
“What the hell?” Fallen king whispered slowly getting up.
The loud music was playing from his basement which he certainly knew that nothing was planned for the night.
“Guards!!!” Fallen king called for his Fallen guardians but they never came.
‘That’s odd, where have they gone off to?’
He got up from his bed making his way to where the loud music was coming from.
When he eventually got to the basement he opened the door to a surprise.
Turns out the party Grave digger was talking about was thrown in his basement.
He did say it would feel just like home.
Everyone, which are his Allies and friends were there having the time of their lives as if they weren’t trespassing on his property.
The worst part was that even his Fallen guardians were at the party having fun.
He was really, really mad. His anger was boiling so hard that it could had rivaled Molten boss.
“GRAVE DIGGER GET YOUR ASS HERE THIS INSTANT!!!!!!!!!”
The music stopped and the whole room went silent. Everyone looked at Fallen king.
“Hiya Fallen king did ya change your mind?” Grave digger showed up.
“Why did you organize a party in my basement without telling me!?” Fallen king demanded answers.
“Well one time Molten boss told me that you allowed anyone to throw parties in your basement and since you always complained about the area the other parties where in, I thought that this place would make you happy!” Grave digger exclaimed oblivious to the fact that Fallen king was giving him a death glare.
“And that’s my cue to leave, sorry about breaking that really expensive chandelier see ya guys!” Molten boss quickly fled the scene.
Fallen king was raging so bad right now his eyes twitch at the statement.
“WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?”
“Well I guess I should have asked for your permission after all.” Grave digger nervously looked at him knowing what was going to happen next.
___________________
“I remember giving Grave Digger the biggest beating he had after that.” Fallen king finished his story.
“Including the biggest scolding I ever gave to my Fallen guardians….” Fallen king was slowly falling asleep on his desk.
“Maybe I should have locked the basement that night….”
Fallen king finally was able to sleep.
Notes:
Fallen king beated up Molten boss too.
Chapter 5: Let’s have a picnic
Summary:
It was a nice day but Fallen king stays inside to avoid the sun. So he writes about the outdoors.
Notes:
Let me know if you have any suggestions for Fallen king to write so he doesn’t get writer’s block.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Fallen king was on his laptop looking for prompts to write since he was bored and had nothing else to do. It was a nice sunny day outside, so of course he had to attack the towers and miserably fail once again.
Anyways, he finally came up with what to write next and it was honestly neither sad nor happy. Maybe it was a little bit on the happy side though.
For the first time in his life, maybe he was having fun with Grave Digger's odd idea. He started to enjoy writing as a hobby.
Heck, he might as well give up on taking over the world and become a famous author instead.
Nah, that’s not going to happen, world domination is his best friend.
________________
It was a lovely bright sunny day in the afternoon and everyone was enjoying the weather. Luckily, there were no attacks in sight so they had a lot of free time and training to do.
To enjoy the day, Commander and DJ decided to go on a picnic in a random park.
You could say it was like a date, no scratch that, it definitely was a date.
Moving on, they were sitting under a tall sturdy tree enjoying the view of a lake nearby.
“I’m glad there was no attacks today, I always worry if our numbers weren’t enough to defend.” Commander spoke softly looking at the at lake.
“Yeah, but you always feel better when I play music even thought we’re in the middle of a battle.” Dj chuckled a bit looking at Commander.
“Well you do help us out somehow with your music in terms of money and range too.” Commander smiled turning to Dj.
The two lovebirds stared at each other for a while and look back at the lake observing the animals and plants around.
But remember they had a picnic, and that includes food.
“We should start eating our food, the view is nice and all but I’m kinda hungry.” Dj rubbed his stomach playfully.
“Of course, I didn’t pack much but it should be enough.” Commander stretched his arm back to pull the basket but suddenly a loud thud came out from behind.
They both turned around immediately to see where the sound came from and when they did it certainly was a surprise.
“Ranger what the heck are you doing here!?” Commander shouted at him in confusion.
“Uhh hi Commander I was just walking around you know.” Ranger, who was laying on the ground stomach down nervously said.
“Ranger you are literally tied to a rope from the tree right there, what we’re you doing.” Dj asked also confused.
“He was trying to steal your food.” Accelerator popped out from behind the tree hold the same rope Ranger was tied from.
“Bruh did you just throw me under the bus?” Ranger disappointedly looked at Accelerator who betrayed him.
“RANGER THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS WEEK YOU STOLE FOOD!!!!” Commander was now furiously yelling.
Well, there goes the peaceful date.
“NOT ONLY THAT BUT YOU LITERALLY ATE EVERYONE’S BREAKFAST THIS MORNING!!!”
“Oh god Ranger are you really that hungry?” Dj looked at Ranger in disbelief.
“Food is love, food is life.” Ranger stated, unfazed by Commander’s yelling.
“Bruh what about me, nothing?” Accelerator complained somehow still here.
“After exposing me like that, I can’t tell anymore.” Ranger retorted.
“Ranger, when we get back you better be prepared for the consequences.” Commander was still mad but calmed down a little.
“You too Accelerator for being an accomplice.” Commander then turned to Accelerator.
“Oh my god bruh...” Accelerator whined.
“Oh hell naw...” Ranger muttered still on the ground but now face down.
DJ could only feel a bit bad for them.
________________
“I hope no one steals my food.” Fallen King mumbled, slouched on his desk. Instead of going outside he stayed indoors all day. Which to be honest, he probably hasn’t touched grass either.
“But seriously I can’t believe I’m starting to enjoy this.” Fallen king confessed and sat up from his desk. He was tired after a long day of sitting.
“Your Highness, dinner is ready.” A Fallen guardian entered the room to inform Fallen king.
“Alright, I will be there in a bit.”
There’s always tomorrow to enjoy.
Too bad it was going to be a rainy day.
Notes:
Forgot to tell you that Ranger is banned from many restaurants for eating all of their food. Yes I headcannon Ranger as a big eater for some reason.
Chapter 6: No pomegranates
Summary:
Crook boss gets mad at his men.
Notes:
My bad I forgot to update.
Trying out a new thing too, when it’s Fallen king it will be in bold.
When it is fanfic then it is not.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Fallen King was having a nice cup of tea outside in his edgy garden. He had no duties that day so he spent it on what we all know, writing fanfiction.
It’s starting to become his favorite hobby out of all the things he does, except attacking the tower’s base of course. He loved the look of terror in their faces. They were small, weak, frightened little towers.
CRACK
Suddenly, the tea cup breaks into a million pieces.
But it really did piss him off when the towers somehow find a strategy to beat him. Hell, sometimes they didn’t have a strategy all!
Anyway, Fallen King quickly calmed himself down and ordered one of the Fallens nearby to get him a new cup. The Fallen then quickly ran back into the castle.
Fallen King had just finished writing a new story which was pretty okay for the most part.
He was suddenly craving a pomegranate too.
__________
Crook boss had just gotten back from a though battle with a few minor injuries. He also had some burns from being really near to the Molten boss.
Remind him to never wear a suit around Molten boss again.
His henchmen were relaxing in the dorms fooling around and stuff. They died a lot so they tried to make the best of it.
Crook boss just sighed and fell on to his bed, he was too tired to yell at them to stop. Medic had also told him to get some rest anyway.
“Crook boss, have you seen the box of pomegranates around here?” Commander had walked by and asked from the doorway.
“Uhhh no, aren’t they always with the other packages of food?” Crook boss lifted his head looking at Commander.
“Ranger hid them somewhere, he always does this…” Commander shook his head in annoyance.
“Ah well not my problem, go away Commander.” Crook boss flipped the other way of his bed.
“You…whatever.” Commander mumbled and left.
Crook boss slowly closed his eyes ready for his well deserved nap until a loud noise came.
“What the hell was that!?” Crook boss jumped out of bed in surprise.
“Sorry boss, a box just suddenly fell and a bunch of stuff rolled on the ground.” One of the bodyguards said.
It was a huge mess on the floor, there were a bunch of pomegranates everywhere.
“Hold up, wait a minute, something ain’t right.” Crook boss whispered analyzing the scene.
“This happened last week as well!” Crook boss shouted at his henchmen.
“It’s not Ranger hiding them, it was you guys!” Crook boss was so furious the heat of the room could rival molten boss.
“Yesterday I found one under my pillow, then the day before that I found one on my hat!”
The bodyguards and crooks began to look nervous.
“That’s it!” Crook boss grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote something on it. “I’m making a new rule!”
_________
“Wait a minute…” Fallen king mumbled “I don’t know why but this somehow is referencing to something.” He was reading his work a little more closely.
_________
“That new rule is no pomegranates!” Crook boss slammed the paper on the wall.
“SAY IT!”
“Uhhhhh…..” The crooks and bodyguards hesitated.
“NO POMEGRANATES!” Crook boss shouted at them demanding to repeat it.
“No pomegranates…” The henchmen said quietly, barely even hearing them.
“COME ON!” It wasn’t loud enough for the boss.
“No pomegra-“
“NO POMEGRANATES.” The angry tower cut them off.
He stomped closer to them with a very angry expression. “NO POMEGRANATES!”
“NO NO NO NO NO POMEGRANATES!” Crook boss cried out while jumping in anger shaking his fists.
“NO!” He glared at each of his men.
“I don’t want them anywhere near here!” Crook boss ordered. He grabbed a few of the newly banned fruit and threw them hardly at the door.
“Ow!” It hit Sniper by the way.
“Am I clear?” Crook boss glared at them menacingly which scared everyone in the room even Sniper who was still there.
“Say the rule again.” Crook boss slammed his hands on the table. “NO POMEGRANATES!”
“Say it!”
“No pomegranates.” The men repeated, even Sniper.
From that day pomegranates were banned from Crook boss’s place.
_________
“That was….something I suppose…” Fallen King sweat dropped.
“Am I that scary to my own guardians and army?” Fallen King wondered.
“Your Highness, I brought you a new cup of tea!” The fallen from earlier returned, and placed the new hot cup on the table.
“Nah…” Fallen King lifted the cup to his mouth.
Notes:
I’m not so sure about that Fallen king. Also I just realized how did that fallen manage to give that hella big cup of tea to fallen king.
Chapter 7: The children
Summary:
Commander finds lost children and he adopts them.
Notes:
Yeah we got Dad Commander and son scout with soldier too! Oh and Medic is here too because honestly, I drew Commander and Medic as daycare workers once.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
“Alright let’s see what can I write next…” Fallen King was in his room planning his next work.
“What is there to write of though?” Fallen King was having trouble, putting on a thinking face.
What could this be? It can’t be his first case of writers block, right?
“hmmmmmmm……….” He was getting more frustrated. Oh shit, it probably is the case.
“I know!” Fallen King had finally came up with a prompt. Thank goodness he found an idea.
“Okay then, I’ve heard how close commander was with that one tower which I think his name is Scout or something.” Looks like this chapter is going to be about them.
“Well I have sent some of my Fallens to spy on the towers and they seem to have told they had a Father-son relationship or some sort.” Fallen King remembered.
Well this might be a wholesome chapter.
__________
“What is that?” Medic pointed at what commander was holding.
“Huh? Oh this is a random child I found near our base.” Commander said casually.
“But how in the world did this kid even get here?“ Medic pointed out very concerned.
“I don’t know, and I’m glad the enemies haven’t gotten him yet.” Commander hugged the child in his arms.
The child seemed to be about 4 or 5 years old and was also kind of dirty from being outside.
“Do you know his name?” Medic asked and looked at the kid closely.
“No, he doesn’t seem to talk much.” Commander responded, still not letting go of the kid.
“Well he only has a few scratches here and there, he should be fine for the most part.” Medic walked to get the medkit in the corner of the room.
“What about him?” Commander said confusing Medic.
“What do you mean?” Medic turned. “You don’t mean there is someone else?”
“Well……” Another child appeared behind Commander looking at Medic with a frightened face.
__________
“I forgot to mention Soldier is also in this.” Fallen King is finally adding new characters? Hooray!
“Scout and Soldier are kind of close, like brothers perhaps.”
__________
The other kid seemed to be about 7 or 8 years old. He was holding on to Commander’s jacket tightly when Medic came closer to analyze.
“Here, take this and put it on your knee.” Medic knelt and handed a bandage to the older child.
The kid took it hesitantly and did as told.
“Let me guess, you don’t know his name either?” Medic stood up and faced Commander.
“Yeah…” Commander chuckled.
“Well fuck.” Medic shook her head.
“Language!” Commander whisper-yelled not trying to scare the children.
“My bad.” Medic apologized. “But what are you going to do with these children?”
“Easy, I’ll let them stay here.” Commander said without a second thought.
“Bruh, we barely have enough to get by and you still want to let them stay?” Medic questioned.
“Of course, I can’t just leave them alone!” Commander hugged both of the children closer.
“I’m assuming that the other one doesn’t know his name either, so what should be their new names?” Medic asked.
“The younger one can be called Scout and the older one Soldier!” Commander beamed.
“Of course…” Medic sighed and left the room.
For the first time since they were found, Scout and Soldier smiled while hugging Commander.
__________
‘TOO SWEET. TOO MUSHY!!!’ Fallen King mentally screamed in his head.
“Fallen Guardian, get me a glass of water please.” Fallen King demanded looking worn out.
“On it, your Highness.” The Fallen Guardian quickly left the room.
Notes:
