Chapter Text

“So… I just click on ‘Go Live’ and that’s it?” Lux looked up from one of her computer screens to the webcam that she spent hours setting up trying to find the right angle, raising an eyebrow at her own small reflection on the lens. She looked disheveled, her short hair somehow even more messy than it was before she started setting everything up for her stream, something she decided to do after months of one of her best friends insisting that she did so.

“Yeah, that’s pretty much it, at least for now.” Said friend’s voice rang through Lux’s headphones, making her turn to her other screen where her Discord call was open with narrowed eyes.

“What do you mean ‘for now?’” The blonde said, frowning at Akali’s face through the screen while the other laughed loudly at her reaction, pretty much a normal thing since the older girl seemingly got a kick out of making things complicated for Lux as much as possible, specially since she agreed to her requests of starting streaming herself so she could have a friend that she could talk about the scene ‘Dude, you really need to get into this, people will absolutely love you!’. At this point Lux had already been around for Akali’s streams every now and then, and apparently her fanbase wanted to see more of her, she kinda felt flattered that fans of an actual global celebrity thought she was worth their attention but still took months of Akali trying to convince her to even get the stuff ready.

“I mean, eventually you’ll probably get more equipment and you’ll have to set that up, but for now you’re done” Well, at least that was understandable and it wasn’t just the other girl wanting to annoy her just to get a reaction. Don’t get her wrong, she’s very grateful that she got her help setting everything up, Akali even sent her one of her old stream decks that worked perfectly but she didn’t use anymore because she got a better one out of a sponsorship a few weeks after she bought it.

Lux didn’t really understand why she needed it when she didn’t have anything set up besides a normal gaming screen set up with her face-cam on a corner of it and a few layers that she commissioned to an artist that Akali recommended along with some small backgrounds for her on-screen notifications of her stream, but still she was grateful for the, as Akali called it, ‘her first donation’ which she still felt was a weird way to call a gift from her friend but she played along with it.

“I see, well then, I’ll go take a shower and eat something.” Lux said while stretching her arms before saving every configuration she did and closing the programs she needed for the stream. “I’ll probably go live after that for a couple of hours, wanna play something then?” She turned again to the screen with Discord open to see her friend’s answer.

“Sure dude, just text me and I’ll hop on anything you want.” Akali answered with a thumbs up and a grin before another pair of arms wrapped around her and Evelynn’s face popped up in the screen next to Akali’s, which made the brunette let out a small yelp before whipping her head around. “Oh, didn’t notice you came home babe, hi!” Akali’s grin somehow got bigger and she placed a chaste kiss on her girlfriend’s lips, which Evelynn wasted no time in trying to deepen before the younger girl pushed her away with a chuckle. “Evee, Lux is watching us, not now.” 

“Hm, I don’t care if she watches, I missed you” Evelynn answered with a small smile on her lips while she placed small kisses all over Akali’s blushing face. Lux watched the whole scene with a sweet smile on her face, holding her head with her chin between her hands before she let out a dreamy sigh.

“Awww, you guys are so cute. I hope my next breath is my last.” The blonde said in a singsong voice while still smiling and started laughing loudly at how Akali’s face turned even more red than it was before which also made Evelynn chuckle. “Anyway, I’ll leave before you two start having sex while your camera is on. Don’t get me wrong, it sounds hot but I really don’t wanna see the closest thing I have to a sister like that.” 

She heard a loud “ LUX!” before she ended the call and chuckled again while standing up from her desk chair and looked around the room, a mess of boxes from the different things she bought to set up her equipment, with a sigh she started picking up the boxes, saving them in a big box inside her closet in case she needs them later if she has to go return one of the things or just save them after she upgrades her stuff. After a few minutes her room was as spotless as ever and with a satisfied smile she picked up her clothes and headed to the bathroom.

When she got out of the shower and started making dinner her phone pinged, Lux checked the screen and smiled when she saw the usual notification that she got almost everyday at that hour. GetJinxed started streaming! Come join! , with a small hum she opened the notification and left the phone propped up on the counter so she could see her favorite streamer as she did almost religiously at this point.

She was greeted as usual by what Lux could only call the prettiest girl she had ever seen, long blue hair always on two braids, big pink eyes that Lux swore had to be contacts, a huge smile that almost split her face in half. Also as she learned from her streams, she was almost a foot shorter than the blonde which she absolutely adored, Lux was a sucker for smaller girls after all. She was really (as Akali called it) down bad for the streamer, something that her friend found hilarious and teased her for it every chance that she had by joking about how much of a simp she was, which it was true, but didn’t mean much coming from the brunette since she was the biggest Evelynn simp for years before she actually met her, after meeting her she somehow became an even bigger simp until they got together, and still was anyway.  

“Hello everyone! How’s everyone doing tonight?” Gosh, even her voice was cute, Akali said it was kinda high pitched for her liking but again, her opinion didn't count. "So yeah, we're gonna chat for a while and then play some Valorant, how does that sound?" Jinx said with her trademark smile and Lux grabbed her phone to type in chat.

LadyOfLuminosity: Hello my queen, jk, unless…👀

Her usual greeting appeared in the chat for nearly a second before it was quickly swallowed by a ton of other messages, but somehow Jinx managed to see it in time and started chuckling. "Well, hello my lady, fancy seeing you here again, hope you're having a great evening." The blue haired girl fluttered her eyelashes at the camera before laughing again, which made Lux laugh as well as she picked up her phone and the plate with her food and went back to her room to watch the stream on her computer while eating as she usually did.

After an hour or so of watching Jinx’s stream Lux picked up her phone and opened the messaging app

Lux⭐: Hey, are you done fucking your milf?

Kali👹: idk, r u done jerking off to your imaginary girlfriend you fucking simp?

Lux⭐: Ok, first of all, fuck you, second, how dare you call me simp when Eve doms the shit out of you 

Lux⭐: Like you literally kneel before her as soon as she asks

Lux⭐: And don’t even try to deny it you forgot to log off the vc once and I thought you were up to play something but instead I heard everything

Lux⭐: EVERYTHING

Lux⭐: I still expect you to pay for my therapy bills 

Kali👹: WAIT

Kali👹: WHAT DO YOU MENA YTOU HEARD US

Lux⭐: When you’re done having a bottom panic attack wanna play some stardew?

Kali👹: YOU CAN’T JUST CHANGE THE SUBJECT LIKE THAT WHAT THE FUCK

Kali👹: I MEAN, YEAH IM DOWN, BUT WHAT THE FUCK

Lux⭐: Ok, cool I’ll set the stream up then, cya tell your mommy I said hi

Kali👹: ASGHSHGF LUX!

Lux left her phone back on her desk with a sigh and started opening back all of the programs while Jinx complained about the game and her teammates on the other screen, making for some hilarious background noise that soothed her nerves at least a little. It was one thing to be playing with Akali while she was streaming, another completely different was actually streaming herself playing, with facecam and everything, as much as she didn’t want to add that last part Akali insisted that it would help a lot to reach an audience so she chose to do it despite not being very into the idea.

After a few minutes of setting everything up and checking that her bedroom wasn’t a mess at least what could be seen on the camera, she realized she was in her pajamas after the shower,so she decided to change to an oversized hoodie and leggings that were still comfy but at least presentable to be in front of a bunch of strangers on the internet.

Lux closed Jinx’s stream with a sigh and shot a text to Akali telling her she was ready and was about to start the stream, after a few seconds she got an answer in the form of a thumbs up emoji and after joining their voice chat she took a last deep breath and she clicked the ‘Go Live’ button.

It wasn’t even a second that she appeared on screen when a notification pinged and she looked to the monitor where she had everything open.

The light pink notification eventually hid away and Lux was still laughing incredulously at it. “Akali! You asshole I told you not to do it what the actual fuck!” She saw as her viewer count slowly rose up, eventually hitting the hundreds, the blonde couldn’t believe it, she wanted a chill first stream, maybe a couple of people that got curious about her and joined for a while and left, not this. Suddenly she heard a loud laugh on her headphones.

“Surprise bitch! Happy first stream dude!” Akali screamed at her at the same time her notifications pinged again and again with new followers, it was so overwhelming that Lux couldn’t help but laugh with her friend, she hadn't even opened the game they were supposed to play and she got spammed like this.

“Fuck you dude, I told you not to do it, I’m nervous as fuck why would you do this to me.” Lux said with a cheery tone while not being able to hold back her smile, she couldn’t even be mad at Akali no matter how much she wanted to be. “Fuck it, let’s play Valorant, I have a huge adrenaline rush and I need to get it out somehow, Stardew’s not gonna cut it sadly.” 

“That’s my girl!” Akali said while still laughing. “Told ya people wanted to see who you were after hanging around my cute self all these months, I wasn’t going to stay put while you don’t have an audience you know.” Lux shook her head as her friend talked and could barely hear another laugh faintly from Akali’s side before a ‘Oh sweetie you should have seen her face it was hilarious’ rang through, obviously Evelynn’s voice, she was gonna get revenge for this someday, she was sure of it.

“Well, anyway, hello everyone, welcome to my first stream! This was supposed to be just me and Kali playing while I got used to streaming but she decided to stab me in the back.” She said with a blank stare to the camera before starting giggling again and looking away from it to check the chat, which obviously was absolute chaos, she didn’t even have mods to keep things in check. Thankfully it was respectful, mostly people asking about her and telling her they were glad she finally started streaming. “Thank you guys for all the follows, I wish I could name you one by one but you flooded the shit out of it and it’d take a long while to do it, but still thank you, I’m really grateful that you all are supporting me on my first stream!” She smiled back at the camera and changed to her gameplay layer as soon as she opened Valorant.

After a few minutes of chatting back and forth with Akali in the main menu the notifications calmed down and Lux was able to thank the new followers individually as they joined. Eventually everything settled down as they played and Lux got into the groove of performing for hundreds of people when suddenly her notifications pinged after a long while, scaring her out of her concentration and making her whip her head to the other screen with a huge smile, which disappeared as soon as she read the message.

GetJinxed started following! Welcome!

Oh. Fuck. Oh shit, oh fuck, what the actual fuck. Her eyes widened and her face went completely red as she sputtered trying to read out loud the new follower to thank them. She took a deep breath and beamed at the camera. “Thank you Jinx for the follow! I hope you have a great evening!” Oh shit, that last bit wasn’t part of what she practiced as a thank you, but anyway, probably no one would notice, except for Akali who found the situation to be hilarious and couldn’t stop laughing at her reaction.

Chapter Text

After Jinx appeared on her stream everything became a blur for Lux, focusing on gameplay turned out to be very hard when you’re being watched by your favorite streamer, especially when said streamer is constantly talking on chat and flirting heavily with Lux, very heavily might she add. It really seemed like all the flirting she did on Jinx’s streams came back to bite her right on her ass, she regretted all of it now.

Well, not really. It was embarrassing, sure, and she choked every time Jinx complimented her, and Akali laughed at her every time she tried to flirt back but ended up stuttering a barely understandable sentence. But she couldn’t help the giddiness she felt whenever a new message from Jinx popped up on chat, and eventually ended up looking forward to the next message just to see what cheesy pick-up line the blue haired girl came up with to make her blush.

“I swear, you have to get these from Google, I can’t believe you’re coming up with this stuff.” Lux said between laughs after Jinx’s latest message.

GetJinxed: nah it’s all me, what can i say im feeling inspired rn ;)

This continued for a couple more hours until she ended her stream, the tiredness of the day finally catching up to her, she said her goodbyes to the audience and thanked them for all the follows on her first stream and as soon as she ended she ended up her call with Akali before even giving her the chance of teasing Lux for how she acted in front of her crush.

The blonde changed back to her pajamas and quickly got on her bed with her phone in her hand for her usual nightly chat with her brother, it was a tradition that Garen started when she moved out of their home to check up on her and how she was doing, both physically and mentally, it was sweet of him to try his best to keep in touch with her after she went as far as she could from their family, and for him to keep taking care of her from afar. He also came to her apartment whenever he could to visit, it was a long drive but he kept insisting on doing it anyways every now and then, just to make sure his little sister was actually doing good for herself.

When Lux was putting her phone on her bedside table so she could go to sleep it suddenly pinged with a new message, which was weird at this hour since all of her friends were asleep and Garen already said his goodbyes. She turned her phone around to check the screen, her eyes widened as soon as she read who it was from and dropped her phone on her face from how fast she tried to unlock it.

She yelped and started rubbing her nose where the phone fell while reading her Twitch DMs.

GetJinxed: hey i know ur prob asleep by now but i just wanted to give u my discord

GetJinxed: so we can play together sometime

GetJinxed: or just talk idk

GetJinxed: only if u want to ofc i don’t wanna pressure u

Lux’s lips turned up in a small smile as she read and didn’t even stop to think before searching Jinx on Discord and adding her. After she did she went back to her DMs so she didn’t leave the blue haired girl on read.

LadyOfLuminosity: I just sent you a request :)

She didn’t wait for her to answer before leaving her phone back on her bedside table and turned around to try to sleep, a huge grin still on her face as all the events of the night ran through her head.

Jinx was panicking, although not the usual panic that she was used to. That made it weird, not bad weird, just weird.

Why did no one told her that the person that she flirted with since almost the beginning of her streaming career was a literal angel, well, not an angel per se, but a really pretty girl which was kinda the same on her books.

She just wanted to chill and watch Akali’s stream for a while after she finished her own, it always was nice to have her on the background while doing stuff before logging off, her interactions with her mysterious friend never failed to make Jinx laugh, they had a really entertaining dynamic and it always made her come back just to watch them.

Imagine her surprise when she saw that it wasn’t Akali actually streaming, she was just hosting someone, it wasn’t weird since she would sometimes host either Ahri’s or another friend’s stream, but it wasn’t Ahri or another friend, it was the Lady herself, who also turned out to be Lux.

“Holy shit.” She muttered to herself, is this what Vi felt when she saw Caitlyn for the first time? Her sister always said that the first time she met her girlfriend she took her breath away and she couldn’t really think clearly. Jinx always thought it was stupid, and used to gag at the idea of even being that corny, but now, watching the blonde laughing softly at some dumb joke her friend did while covering her mouth with her hand she could understand what she meant.

Ah, simping at first sight, how lovely. She thought before chuckling, the blue haired girl really didn’t know what to do except to watch dumbfounded, it was really good that Vi was sleeping and couldn’t see her having a gay panic attack at some stranger girl on the internet.

After a couple of minutes her lips turned up into a grin when she decided she could give Her Lady a taste of her own medicine, and it was going to be very easy considering how Lux reacted to just her following, so it was just natural that she used her flirty greeting against her and obviously she was rewarded with embarrassment from the newbie streamer, this was going to be fun.

Her smile refused to leave her face after Lux finished her stream and she decided that she needed to become friends with the blonde, she seemed fun and harmless enough based on her attitude with Akali, even during her tilting outbursts she just became pouty and whiny about her teammates which was cute as all hell. Jinx really wanted more of her in her life, if Lux was okay with it, obviously, she wasn’t going to force the other girl into a friendship she didn’t want, just a quick message and her Discord as an invitation and that’s it.

It was really easier said than done. After the first message she just panicked and started rambling. Who the fuck talks like this, she thought and was about to close the DMs tab when she got a ping on Discord and Lux answered her messages.

Holy fuck, this was really happening, her brain couldn’t decide if that was good or bad, but it really was happening. A really hot girl wanted to be somewhat around her, scratch that, a really hot girl that’s also shredded as fuck if what Akali said was true.

Okay, she maybe should reel it back a little bit, it was really early to be already crushing on Lux. She could keep her cool, she was going to keep her cool. No matter what.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

A groan was heard before a hand shot out from under dark blue sheets trying to get the phone that was loudly ringing on the bed, followed by a messy blonde head with the face set in a scowl as eyes squinted at the screen of the device.

Lux muttered a frantic “Fuck.” as she saw displayed on the screen the last of her alarms, and jumped from the bed, running to the bathroom to get ready. She overslept, and unless she was as quick as possible she was going to be late for work.

She had to skip breakfast and was rushing to the door of her apartment when she suddenly stopped. She remembered she quit her job, a few days ago, to focus on photography.

It was kinda relieving that she wasn’t going to be late anywhere, and that she got to chill for the day, quitting her job wasn’t her main option, but Garen and Akali teamed up to make her follow what she actually wanted to do instead of being stuck on a dead end job, her brother even offered to support her financially until she could get on by herself. Lux was grateful for it and promised to bake him his favorite cake the next time he came to visit with his girlfriend.

The bad thing about not having anything to do was that she didn’t know what to do, she should start with breakfast though, and see where everything goes from there.

A few minutes later Lux was sitting on her table, drinking a coffee and checking her emails on her laptop, Ahri told her through Akali that she should get together a portfolio so she could take it to her company in case they needed a new photographer. She got to that soon after, looking through her blog for the pictures that best represented her skills, from landscape pictures, to friends modeling to even a few pictures she took on a family member’s wedding, Ahri did tell her that including a large range of works would be better to show off what she could do and maybe would get her a better chance at getting the job.

It didn’t take even an hour to have at least a draft to send to Ahri, Lux already had an idea of which were her best works and tried to pick the best of the best and see if that was good enough or if she needed to add or delete something. Ahri being the busy business woman that she was, she didn’t expect an actual answer until much later in the day, so she closed her laptop and moved from her kitchen back to her room.

As soon as she got in she turned on her pc and started to check her Discord in case Akali sent her something, but was greeted with the consequences of her actions.

Jinxie: hi my lady, hope u have a good night/morning

Jinxie: idfk what time is it when u check this so imma cover all i can

Lux forgot that she sent Jinx a Discord request, well, she didn’t actually forget about it, she was so used to weird dreams of actually streaming that she assumed that last night was also a dream, especially since her crush actually talked to her so that made it way more unbelievable so thinking that it was a dream just made sense for her.

Lux: Good morning My Queen

Lux: Gods now I realize how cringe it is calling you that, I’m sorry

Jinxie: lol dw flashlight, it’s funny so u get a pass

Jinxie: also i get to call u my lady which is equally cringy so i guess we’re even 

Lux chuckled to herself as she chatted with Jinx, it was weirdly easy to talk to her and hours flew by as they talked without even noticing, she learnt that although Twitch was her main source of income Jinx also worked at a mechanic shop because she enjoyed working with cars and bikes since she was little, she also learnt that she lived with her sister and her fiancée and that she both loved and hated it since she had more time with her sister that she had in years, but at the same time she had to endure watching them flirt, sometimes even worse than flirting. She refused to elaborate on what she meant by that but Lux kinda had an idea of what that meant. 

It was really confusing how fast she got along with Jinx, but it was kinda cool that her favorite streamer was also a really nice person so she didn’t even complain. 

It was nice overall, she couldn’t wait for them to get closer and see where their friendship went.

Chapter Text

It’s been a month since Lux started streaming, and all in all, it’s been great. Because of Akali’s help on her first stream she got partnered pretty quickly and was already making money out of her streams with donations, which helped a lot, but it wasn’t the best thing about her newfound streaming career, the best thing was meeting Jinx.

Talking to the blue-haired girl became a daily thing in less than a week, well, more than that, they talked almost all day every day, either on Discord or on Twitter, and it only took a couple days until they gave each other their numbers so they talked to each other through three different means all with different conversations. It was great how quickly they hit it off and became friends, they played together almost every night after they finished their streams and every now and then they watched movies or shows together while on call, it was the most fun Lux had in a long time, and apparently it showed. Everyone around her commented on how she looked happier, even Garen when he came to visit said that he was happy that she was doing well and gave her his entire support when she told her about Jinx and streaming.

“Good evening everyone! How’s everyone doing?” Lux said cheerily to the cam while doing a little wave, it was her usual greeting at this time and what everyone expected of her at this point. “I hope you all are doing great, I have planned a huge surprise for today!” She waited a few seconds reading the chat, seeing if someone happened to guess said surprise, of course no one did even though a few were really close. 

“Damn Luxie, way to give a lot of expectations for nothing.” Jinx's voice came out from her headphones and she laughed as she saw her chat blowing up about them streaming together. It was something they were asked to do every now and then whenever one of them appeared on the other’s chat so the reaction was kind of expected.

“Hey I’m just trying to make things more interactive, and you ruined the surprise y’know” Lux answered with a smirk before looking at her second screen where she was on a video chat with Jinx, making the other girl chuckle.

“Well I’m sorry my lady, I’ll be sure to not ruin it next time.” A blush took over the blonde's face, she just couldn't get used to Jinx calling her that no matter how much she tried. It was fine when Akali called her that though, it didn't cause any reaction when her friend teased her with the nickname, but when Jinx said it Lux just became a blushing stuttering mess which was amusing for both of her friends (and Garen, according to their last conversation they had when he told her he started watching the streams whenever he could).

"Okay sure whatever." Lux mumbled, looking away from the camera feigning a pout. After all, the surprise was only half ruined. Jinx ruined the surprise for her viewers, sure, but Lux still had a surprise for her, she just had to wait a little.

"Could you two stop flirting for like, two seconds?" Akali said before sitting beside the blonde, now the whole surprise was ruined. Akali was visiting her for the weekend and they didn’t tell anyone outside their friend circle only so they could do at least one surprise stream together.

“Wow you just couldn’t wait for me to introduce you huh.” Lux huffed and elbowed Akali on the side before she moved her camera a little, just so the other girl could also be in frame. When she finished with that she turned again to the other screen and started laughing.

Jinx was staring at her screen with wide eyes slack jawed. She was dreaming, right? Her usual dreams got mixed together, that could be the only explanation for this. Just in case she pinched her leg.

Ow, okay, not a dream. And Lux was laughing looking at her, that was bad, so she tried her best to fix her expression as quickly as possible. Which was hard considering she was talking to one of her idols and the girl she had a tiny crush on, but she could manage. If years of trauma taught her something it was to hide her emotions behind a mask of smugness, easy peasy.

“Shit starlight, if I knew you would suddenly become mute after seeing her I wouldn’t have done this.” Jinx looked up immediately at the nickname, she was still getting used to it, specially since she didn’t know where it came from and when she asked Lux the only answer she got was ‘You call me flashlight for no reason, so I’m gonna call you starlight because of your obsession with magical girls, and you can’t stop me.’ which was sweet as hell, and also very embarrassing since now she was outed as a weeb and that didn’t exactly fit with the bad girl persona she tried to put up for her viewers.

“I’m sorry flashlight, I forgot how much you love my voice.” Jinx said with a smirk and watched how Lux’s face turned a deep red and Akali made gagging sounds.

“Get a room and fuck already geez.” The raven haired girl said in between gags, making Jinx blush a little and Lux somehow even redder.

Lux took a deep breath and cleared her throat. “Speaking of getting a room and fucking in private.” The blonde said before her smug grin returned to her still blushing face. “Have you called Evelynn to wish her a good night yet? Maybe sent her a few ‘gifts’ while you were in the bathroom?” She teased while wiggling her eyebrows, turning the tables on Akali since she was the one bright red now while Jinx laughed. 

“Damn Luxie, that was wild.” Jinx said, looking back at her camera with a smirk, the blush on her own face almost gone. Luckily no one noticed, she wouldn’t hear the end of it if one of them noticed.

“Thanks Jinx, I try.” Lux winked at the camera and Jinx felt flutters in her stomach. Ok, maybe the crush was a little more than tiny, not a surprise really since how quickly she became attached to the blonde, but still problematic.

A few hours later Jinx said her goodbyes to Lux and Akali after they finished the stream together, it was fun, they talked for a long while and played some co-op games together whenever they ran out of things to talk about, everyone watching loved the surprise collab so they promised they would do it again when Akali got back to her place in a few days.

Jinx was getting ready for bed when her phone pinged on her bedside table, she picked it up and smiled as she opened her texts with Lux.

Flashlight✨: Hey, it was really fun, we should do it again sometime 

Jinxie💥: we already said we were going to lol 

Jinxie💥: but yea i had fun too

Jinxie💥: also kind of a dick move to ambush me with akali lol

Flashlight✨: Asdfsdfas

Flashlight✨: Sooooooooooooorry, I wanted you two to meet and it was Akali’s idea to surprise you 🥺

Jinxie💥: it’s ok i’m joking

Jinxie💥: i could never be mad at u flashlight 😉

Flashlight✨: Of course

Flashlight✨: How could you ever be mad at this face

Jinx's breath caught in her throat, it was a selfie from Lux. She was looking at the camera with an innocent look on her face, wearing a shirt way too big that she  could almost use as a dress and some old shorts. It wasn’t the first time that Jinx saw it, they had a few late-night calls when they were both in their pajamas.  What was different though was the angle, the selfie was taken with the phone a little above her head, exposing a little bit of cleavage.

"Fuck me…" Jinx all but growled, this didn't help at all with her crush, quite the opposite really. She even wasn't sure if what she said was her complaining or just saying to herself what she couldn't say to Lux, but she preferred to avoid her gay panic and just assume it was the former.

She took a deep breath and stretched her shoulders to calm herself down before answering.

Jinx took another deep breath and opened again the selfie Lux sent, she just stared at her face this time, those big blue eyes that shone like sapphires, that jawline that looked sharp enough to cut diamonds, her cute button nose, the light dusting of freckles on her cheekbones and her lips that always left her wondering if they felt as soft as they looked. 

Fuck.

She had it bad.

Lux was sitting on her bed grabbing her head, face totally red with embarrassment. She shouldn’t have listened to Akali.

“Geez dude, it’s not like you sent a full on nude, chill.” Said raven haired girl was sitting next to her rubbing her back, it was kind of thrilling to take that picture and send it to Jinx and she felt good doing it, the problem was the answer Jinx gave.

“That’s not the problem Kali.” Lux mumbled and gave Akali her phone with their conversation open and went back to grabbing her head trying to calm down her rapidly beating heart by taking deep breaths, but her panicking was interrupted by Akali laughing loudly.

“Damn dude, maybe you should have sent a nude.”

“AKALI!” Lux all but screeched at her friend and reached out to take back her phone while Akali kept laughing at her. At least she wasn’t panicking anymore, that was a good thing, the bad thing was that her panic was replaced by even more embarrassment at the situation. There was a little bit of a fuzzy feeling mixed with the embarrassment, but she just took it as a normal reaction to her crush saying that she would be okay with Lux sitting on her face. Even if she said it as a joke, it was wild to actually have Jinx tell her that. Like of course it was a joke, there was no way that Jinx actually meant what she said. Right? “I kinda liked taking that not gonna lie, it felt really exciting.” Lux mumbled and looked away from Akali, clutching her phone in her hands.

“Hm, I’m just gonna throw it out there, she clearly has the hots for you.” Akali started and raised a hand in front of Lux’s face when she shot straight up to answer. “Even if you try to deny it, she wouldn’t have answered like that if she didn’t. So, if you liked taking it, and I’m right and she also liked receiving it, then you should do it again. Just saying.” 

“I’m gonna think about it.” Lux said with a small smile while looking at her phone screen.

The following weeks were a nightmare for Jinx, not the bad kind of nightmare, but the gay kind of nightmare, turns out she threw a bunch of gasoline mixed with a few explosives to the metaphorical fire by flirting with Lux after she sent that photo. Because now it has become almost a daily thing.

It wasn't always selfies, sometimes it was a picture of whatever she was cooking, or maybe a picture of the sunset whenever she went out for a run, her favorites were the ones of her dog, Galio, he was a huge White Shepherd with a patch of blonde hair on his chest, he was really cute and judging by the few videos Lux sent her of them playing they both had the same adorable, curious personality which was also cute as hell. 

Those weren't the reason for her panicking though, they were pretty normal things, she also sent photos like that to her whenever they talked. The selfies were the issue.

They were normal most of the time, just a quick selfie showing out her outfit or just her and Galio playing. But sometimes they were straight up thirst traps.

Today was thirst trap day apparently, Jinx's phone pinged while she was working on her workshop at home and when she picked it up she was greeted with probably the worst one so far. Lux was standing in front of the mirrored wall of a gym, wearing a black sports bra and some loose fitting jogger pants with her hair pulled back in a high ponytail, clearly just finished with her workout judging by how her muscles were bulging a little more than usual and the thin layer of sweat covering her.

Jinx didn't know what to do with herself, she was getting used to being exposed to either a little bit of cleavage or just a glimpse of her abs, but this was hitting in a completely different way. Her face heated up instantly as she stared at the picture and she felt a shiver ran down her spine as heat also pooled on her lower abdomen. She wasn't sure for how long she looked at it, maybe a couple minutes, before she closed it and went back to their conversation.

Jinx left her phone back on her work table and stood up, trying to calm down a little before running back inside her house, slamming open every door in her path until she arrived at the kitchen where her sister was making breakfast. 

"Vi! I need girl advice. Now." Jinx yelled as soon as she crossed the door, making the pink haired girl jump in her place before turning around quickly. 

Vi looked her sister up and down, watching how she was blushing all over and her lips turned up in a small smirk.

"Oh Pow Pow, you don't know how long I've been waiting for you to ask that."

“The fuck do you mean you were waiting for this?” Jinx asked incredulously to her sister. Literally, what the fuck did she mean? Oh shit, oh shit shit shit, please tell me she doesn’t know about Flashli-

“I was waiting for you to get a crush for soooo long, I thought you had one on Ekko when you were kids but I was wrong about that.” Ah, this was even worse than she thought it was. Way, way, waaaaaaay worse. “But anyway, tell me about her! What's her name? How did you two meet?”

“Vi, darling, calm down, you’re scaring her.” Caitlyn said from behind Jinx and Vi’s face went from a huge grin to a look of confusion directed at her fiancée. The blue-haired girl turned around and saw her sitting down at the table in the kitchen, drinking her morning coffee while checking her emails in her laptop. “Good morning by the way Jinx, I was going to bring you your breakfast to the garage but it seems you changed your mind about it. Now…” Caitlyn’s soft smile turned into a smirk similar to the one Vi was wearing moments prior. “Tell me more about this, and I’ll try my best to help you with it.”

“Hey! Why can’t I help?” The pink-haired woman said with a small pout and her partner cooed at her.

“Oh, honey, we’ll help her together, but you’ll get distracted and burn our breakfast so I’ll help her first, and then it’s your turn, deal?” Caitlyn said with a soft voice while looking at Vi with almost stars in her eyes and the other just gave a thumbs up with a huge smile before turning back around to finish their breakfast. It made Jinx want to puke, so she gagged.

“God, you guys are disgusting.” Jinx whined, but both of the older women just chuckled.

“We know, and we’re proud of it.” Caitlyn chuckled and pointed a hand towards the chair across from her on the table. “Now, sit, and tell us all about her.”

And so Jinx did, she told them everything, from when they ‘met’ on one of her first streams, the constant flirting, how she eventually saw her on Akali’s page, and how they became friends. At some point during her retelling, Vi joined them at the table and both she and Caitlyn were looking at her with soft smiles on their faces.

“Shit Pow Pow, you really hit the jackpot on rom-com level meet cute huh.” Vi said with a teasing smile on her lips before taking a sip of her orange juice.

“I know right!?” Jinx almost yelled in between mouthfuls of scrambled eggs. “She’s like, perfect and so nice to everyone. I had to check several times if she was actually a real person and not some kind of angel I imagined after so many movies."

Both Vi and Jinx laughed loudly and Caitlyn just looked at them with a smile on her face. 

"So…" The older woman interjected, making both sisters turn their attention to her. "What's her name?" 

"Oh! Her name is Luxanna, but everyone calls her Lux, I call her Flashlight because she has like, super blonde hair and with the lights of her room it kinda shines, so Flashlight!" Jinx rambled with a grin that got bigger when her phone vibrated in her pocket and she took it out to see that Lux texted her again.

"She says hi by the way." Jinx said while putting her phone back in her pocket and turning back to her plate to finish her breakfast. 

"And what did you need our help with then? It looks like you have it very under control." Vi said with a teasing tone in her voice. Shit, she got too excited talking about Lux and forgot that she asked for advice.

The blue-haired girl blushed and took a deep breath. "Recently she started sending photos of herself and like when it started I was all like 'Oh, she's cute I don't mind it' but she's getting bolder every day, she didn't send a nude or anything like that but she just sent me a selfie at the gym and my brain just stopped working properly?" Jinx looked back up and glared at Vi's stupid smirk "So now not only have a crush on this girl, but I'm also horny for her and I don't know if I should tell her?"

"Do you want to tell her?" Caitlyn said in a soft voice and placed a hand on top of one of Jinx's, giving it a little squeeze while she waited for her answer.

“Shit, of course I want to do it Cait, but I don’t know if she even feels like me and I don’t wanna ruin what we have, y’know.” Jinx sighed and ran her free hand through her hair.

“I’m just gonna throw this out there. You could send thirst traps back.” Vi said suddenly and both Jinx and Caitlyn turned their heads quickly towards her. The pink-haired woman raised her hands and smirked. “Just hear me out, going by what you told us, this isn’t something that she would do for anyone, so maybe there’s some interest there, and you could send some back to see how she reacts and figure it out from there.” 

Caitlyn raised an eyebrow at her fiancée and sighed. “While it does make sense, are you really telling your younger sister to send thirst traps?” Vi just shrugged and Jinx hummed. It did kinda make sense, and it’s always fun to see Lux flustered.

What’s the worst that could happen, right? Jinx thought and a smirk formed on her lips. “You know what, you might be right.”

“Of course I’m right! I’m the one about to get married after all.” Vi said triumphantly and crossed her arms while Caitlyn laughed out loud.

“Still wondering how that happened, you know.” The older woman said with a fond smile on her lips. “Especially since your advice to your sister having her first major crush is to send thirst traps.” 

“It’s because I sent you thirst traps until you took me on a date.” Vi answered without even wasting a second, making her fiancée turn a deep red before a predatory grin appeared on her lips. Jinx heard her whisper ‘Oh please honey, we both know that I did it because you begged, and I love to see you beg.’ And that’s when she got up and started walking out of the kitchen.

“Ooookay, I didn’t need to hear that, so I’m gonna leave before you two start fucking on the table. Cya!” Jinx got up from the table and hurried to the door with her brain running with tons of different ideas. She wasn’t going to thirst trap Lux, no, that was a little too much for her right now. But she had other ways to fluster Lux to the same degree that the blonde flustered her.

She just had to play her cards right.

Lux was in hell. She had to be, right? That’s the only thing that would explain everything that was happening. Akali’s plan absolutely backfired in maybe the best way possible, which was highly confusing for the blonde.

If she knew that trying to fluster Jinx with pictures only meant that the flirting multiplied immensely she probably wouldn’t have done it in the first place. But she wasn’t really mad about it, the flirting only added to the rush of adrenaline she felt after sending a rather risqué photo to her friend, it just always caught her by surprise.

Like right now, she was staring at her phone after sending Jinx a picture after taking a shower, she had just come back from a run and the rush of endorphins coming from it made her act on impulse, it wasn’t anything extreme, it was just a selfie already dressed with her hair down and still wet, she wasn’t going to take a photo naked or even in her underwear, not yet at least. She was expecting to get a keysmash as an answer like she sometimes did, but instead, she got a video of Jinx washing her face.

Okay, so that backfired terribly, as per usual whenever she tried to fluster the blue-haired girl. She could always find a way to shoot back and leave her in a blushing, sputtering mess. The worst thing was that she wasn’t even mad about it if she had to be completely honest, she was kinda into it which was kind of a revelation in and of itself finding that she found the constant teasing attractive, but she blamed it all on the horniness that lodged itself in her brain after months of flirting with Jinx.

Lux dropped her phone on her bed and took a deep sigh, it was way too early to start a stream, and Akali was out with her bandmates on a ‘girls' night out’ as Ahri kindly put it to not call it what it actually was, a double date. So she didn’t have her friend to vent her frustrations to and knowing how their group dates usually ended she wouldn’t be able to contact her until the next evening at the very least.

She looked out of her window, the sun was barely setting, and it had been a while since she went out, and even longer since she saw her friends outside of their weekly game nights on a video call. With a small hum, Lux picked up her phone from her bed and opened their group chat.

With a small smile she locked her phone and put it in her pocket before going to her closet, it was still pretty early but she didn’t have anything else to do so having her outfit planned already seemed like a good idea, maybe send a picture to Jinx of her outfit just to be flattered by her before enjoying a night out… Nah, fuck that, she was definitely going to send her a picture, it was routine at this point. An excited shiver ran down her spine as she grabbed a dress from her closet while humming to herself.

Jinx walked through her house biting her lip, excitement running through her body. “Finally some alone time.” She said with a massive grin on her face. Vi had finally left for her job, and Caitlyn was over at Jayce’s for dinner with both him and Viktor so she wouldn’t come back early either.

And thank the gods either above or below, she didn’t care at this point, she was alone, a whole day of flirting with Lux and being exposed to her thirst traps had her at the end of her rope already, the blue-haired girl had been a mess the entire day and she lost count of how many cold showers she had to take to calm down and as an excuse to change her underwear after it got ruined after every flirty back and forth.

But now, she could finally let go and be as loud as she wanted, and no one would be able to stop her. For a second the thought of recording herself and sending it to Lux crossed her mind but as soon as it appeared she shot it down, thirst traps were a thing but that was a whole different barrier that she wasn’t ready to cross.

As far as she was willing to go was a selfie from the shoulders up after she came, now that was an idea that she liked, it was suggestive as fuck but was still in her comfort zone. 

Jinx threw her phone on her bed and threw herself right behind it, trying to rip off her pants when her phone pinged with a new message, she let out a loud groan and fished for the phone, ready to give hell to whoever decided to text her in the worst time possible but her heart skipped a beat when she read the notification.

She rushed to open the messaging app and let out a soft gasp as soon as she saw the picture, it was Lux standing in front of her mirror wearing a blue dress with little golden accents and black boots, her hair loose over her shoulders and with light make-up on her face, just a little blush and black eyeliner with soft pink lipgloss.

Jinx let out a shuddering sigh and closed the picture to see what else she sent her.

A small smile formed on Jinx’s lips and she opened the picture again, considering for a few seconds putting it as her lock-screen when her phone pinged again.

With a sigh, she got out of bed and searched through her closet for clothes to wear, deciding after a few minutes on black ripped jeans and a grey K/DA shirt with boots that were kind of similar to the ones Lux was wearing, just to have that little thing in common, and then went to have a shower. She was interrupted again so she needed to take another shower. It was already late so she couldn’t take too long on the shower and that frustrated her even more, but she still was down for free drinks with her friends so she was going to suck it up.

By the time she got to the Drop Ekko and the others were already inside, sitting on a booth waving to get her attention, she waved back at them and headed first to the bar where she saw her sister, mostly to say hi, but also to get her first drink ready. 

She was a few feet away from the bar when she crashed into what felt like a solid wall of a person, she had a string of curses ready to be spat when she heard a soft. “Oh shoot, I’m so so sorry I wasn’t looking at where I was going. Are you okay?” Jinx recognized that voice, she would recognize it anywhere.

She looked up and stared directly at the prettiest blue eyes she have ever seen, a soft gasp escaped her lips as it dawned on her. “F-Flashlight!?” She said with a surprised tone at the same time the other girl exclaimed “Jinx!?”.

They both stared at each other for a few seconds, which honestly felt like hours to Jinx before they both said again at the same time. “What are you doing here!?”

Jinx looked around frantically, her pink eyes shooting around the bar, trying her best not to look at the literal goddess that decided to spawn right in front of her. Maybe if she looked away for long enough, the blonde would magically disappear, and Jinx could keep walking to the bar to bully her sister into giving her a free drink.

But apparently, that didn’t work. Since instead of being magically alone in the middle of the bar, she was suddenly wrapped in a warm embrace by the taller blonde, followed by a high-pitched squeal.

“Oh my god, Starlight! I can’t believe we’re finally meeting!” Lux’s excitement was noticeable in her tone, and Jinx couldn’t help to chuckle. “Of course, I would have liked us to meet properly and like actually having it planned, but still, this is great!” The blonde squeezed the shorter girl while the other just palmed her back awkwardly.

“Nice to know you had our meeting planned, blondie.” Jinx said with a smirk, raising an eyebrow as she looked… Up… Fuck she was tall, easily a head above her. And her eyes somehow were brighter than they ever looked in all of the photos, probably because of the lights. She wasn’t sure for how long she stared at Lux’s face, but eventually, she squeezed one of the blonde’s arms softly. “Hey Flashlight, you’re looking very cute and everything, and don’t get me wrong this is kinda hot, but I have to get back to people, and so have you.”

The blonde’s face turned bright red and she gave Jinx a last squeeze before she left her on the ground again. Huh, she didn’t notice she was lifted up at some point, it left some conflicting feelings in her chest, but it was something to work up later. “You’re right, sorry, I just got too excited, you know? Like, wow, I’m finally meeting you in person!” Lux said with a sheepish grin on her face, and Jinx decided it was the cutest thing she’d ever seen. Aw, fuck it, being soft for once wouldn’t kill her.

“Tell you what, blondie, go back to your friends. I’ll try to get our groups seated together, okay?” Jinx said, and Lux beamed at her, nodding very quickly. Jinx found herself feeling excited about the idea as well. It didn’t really surprise the blue-haired girl how somehow her mood was more contagious in real life than it was through a screen. “I’ll text you when I get everything ready.” The shorter girl stood on the tip of her toes and gave Lux a few pats on her hair- fuck, why is it so soft - before she walked away to the bar, where Vi was staring at her with a smug smile on her face already.

Jinx sighed loudly and glared at her sister when she placed her arms on the bar. “Don’t you fucking dare.” 

“I didn’t say anything.” Vi shot back, wiggling her eyebrows at her. Jinx sighed again and turned over her shoulder to try and find Lux again in the crowd, it was kind of embarrassing how quickly she found her sitting in a booth with her friends on the other side of the bar from where her own group was sitting.

She stared at Lux for a few seconds before she turned back to Vi. “I hate to admit this, but I need your help.” Fuck she shouldn’t have asked. Her sister’s smirk became bigger while she waited for her to continue. “Blondie over there is Flashlight.” She tried to be discreet, pointing with her thumb over where Lux was sitting.

“Figured out that much.” Jinx fucking hated the smug tone she had on her voice, but she had to suck up the teasing if she wanted her improvised plan to go well.

“I need the private room so both our groups can hang together.” The younger sister muttered before turning around over her shoulder to look back at the blonde, whom she caught staring at her from across the room. Lux smiled brightly and waved and Jinx turned back to the front, a bright blush covering her cheeks. “Please?”

Vi placed a finger under her own chin, making it seem like she was in deep thought. “Hmm… I don’t know Pow pow. I should ask the boss.”

“Violet, you literally are the boss. Vander left you in-”

“Sh, don’t interrupt me. I’m enjoying this way too much.” Vi smirked down at her, and the blue-haired girl was ready to jump over and punch her for being an asshole, but she tried her best to calm down.

“Fuck you, Vi.” Jinx let out an exasperated groan and dropped her head over her crossed arms on the bar while her sister laughed at her.

She definitely was going to get her back. She was going to regret teasing her like this. Jinx looked up with a frown and was greeted with a neon green card in front of her face. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, sis, have fun.”

The shorter girl shot up and snatched the card out of Vi’s hand with a wild grin on her face. “Thanks, sis!” She shouted and skipped back to her table while humming to herself. When she got there she got her friends’ attention by slamming her hands on the table, making Ekko jump on his seat.

“Fucking hell J what happened?” The white-haired boy said while clutching his chest, eliciting a chuckle from Jinx.

“Yeah, didn’t you go to get a drink?” Rell asked from the other side of the booth. Seraphine cuddled against her side while trying her best not to laugh at Ekko’s reaction. Any other day Jinx would have gagged at the sigh. But she was about to make them move so she could be in the same room with the girl she has a crush on so she was going to save her reaction for this time.

“Change of plans, my gals and guy.” She showed them the card with a grin on her face and the other three cheered while picking up their stuff, Jinx looked back to see if she could catch Lux’s table from where they were, but couldn’t, so with a slight pout she took her phone out of her pocket

“So… I’ll bite. Why are we going there?” Ekko asked from behind Jinx and she turned around to him, walking backward with a huge grin on her face.

“Flashlight’s here.”

“Your stream girlfriend?” Seraphine interjected and Jinx threw finger guns at her.

“Not my gf, but yeah, her.” 

“Not your gf yet, got it.” Rell said with a teasing smile on her face and Jinx flipped her off before turning back around to unlock the door.

Ever since Lux came back to her table, she couldn’t focus on her friends, the conversations bouncing around her going unnoticed while she tried to keep looking at Jinx on the bar talking to the bartender that made them their drinks, judging by what she could catch of their mannerisms from this distance they seemed kind of close. She hummed and decided to ignore the light tug of jealousy on her chest at the sight before turning back to her friends. She owed them at least some of her attention.

Of course, Lux wasn’t surprised when she didn’t know what they were talking about, so she looked around the table until she locked eyes with Sona, who was sitting in front of her.

“So… What were you looking at?” The green-haired girl signed to her and Lux sighed. Okay, so I can’t escape this now.

“I walked into Jinx on my way back from the bathroom while she was going to the bar” Lux signed back, a light blush tinting her face.

“Oh crap, the streamer?” Lux nodded and her blush intensified. “And what happened?”  

“We talked…” Lux took a pause and watched as her friend’s grin became bigger while signaling her to go on. “I kind of hugged her.” Sona made a small sound of excitement that made Irelia turn around to ask her what happened but Sona waved her girlfriend off so she could focus on the blonde. "And she said that she was going to try and get us all seated together." She finished signing and Lux swore under her breath at the teasing look on the musician’s face.

“And that’s what she’s doing now?” Sona signed and nodded towards the bar and Lux nodded again before turning back to look at Jinx, a small smile on her lips while watching the back of her head.

“I think so.” She signed back without taking her eyes from Jinx, who eventually caught her staring but instead of looking away Lux waved at her and chuckled when Jinx was the one who looked away. She took her phone out of her pocket and sent her a few texts before leaving it on the table, her smile still sitting on her face.

“Ooohhh Luxie, something good happened?” Ezreal asked with a teasing tone, his tipsiness slightly noticeable in his voice. “Did your not-girlfriend teeeext you?” Taric smacked him softly on the back of his head and the whole table chuckled at Ezreal pouting at his boyfriend.

“Actually, yeah, she’s here.” Suddenly all of her friends’ attention was on her, Sett and Ezreal looking around to see if they could find where she was when her phone pinged again. After exchanging a couple of texts that had her blushing she turned her attention back to her friends who were all staring at her, Sona with a knowing grin in between everyone else. “Okay everyone grab your stuff, we’re moving.” Lux stood up and grabbed her belongings, Sona following right behind her.

“Woah Woah Woah, hold the fuck up, where are we going?” Sett asked from a couple of seats down where she was.

“Jinx got us all to the private room so our groups can hang out together!” Lux answered with a bright smile on her face.

“You aren’t even a couple. And you’re already whipped. Great” Sona signed and Irelia laughed at it before shaking her head.

“Okay everyone, let’s leave Lux alone and go with her to meet her crush.” Irelia said while picking up her things and offering to grab Sona’s, which the musician took, and gave her bag and coat to her girlfriend.

“You guys have fun, me and Sunny over here are going home, she has work tomorrow.” Diana pointed to her girlfriend still sitting at the table, nodding off. “You’ll have to get a cab, Lux, sorry.” The white-haired woman shot the blonde an apologetic look that got waved off.

“Don’t worry Di, go rest, I’ll let you know when I get back home.” Diana nodded at her and pulled Leona up while everyone said their goodbyes, holding her by the waist while walking to the door.

“Okay everyone, let’s meet little Luxanna’s girlfriend” Taric singsonged and threw an arm around Lux’s shoulders. “Don’t worry, I won’t tell Garen that I met her before him.” He booped her in the nose and laughed at the groan he got out of her.

Lux’s phone pinged in her pocket and she rushed to check it out.

Flashlight✨: Okay, cya!

Lux took a deep breath, trying to steel herself for what was coming. “Okay everyone, let’s go!” She led her friends to the stairs in the back of the bar and walked up them, taking the time to take another deep breath when they got to the door before knocking.

Her insides were a mess of butterflies while they waited, she was even considering turning around and leaving, maybe Diana and Leona hadn’t left yet and could drive her home. But, before she could let her fear win, the door opened and all of her doubts disappeared from her mind at the sight of Jinx with a wild grin on her face.

“Hiya blondie!” The blue-haired girl almost yelled. “Glad ya could make it. I was getting scared you were gonna bail on me.”

Lux couldn’t stop herself from the smile that formed on her face and walked closer to her so she could stand face to face with her crush. “I wouldn’t leave such a pretty girl invited me to a private room, wouldn’t be very nice of me.”

A light blush colored Jinx’s cheeks and her grin became bigger. “Shit flashlight, keep talking to me like that and our clothes aren’t gonna last that much you know?”

They were pulled out of her little world by a gagging sound heard behind Jinx.

“Jesus fucking Christ J, it’s bad enough that I’m now third wheeling for a bunch of couples, could you please, pleeeease not have your weird foreplay right in front of me?” Both of their groups laughed at them and Lux’s face became a bright red while Jinx’s was barely affected.

“Sorry Ekko, I had to suck it up with you picking up random people while hanging out with me so you’re shit outta luck.” Jinx blew a kiss towards Lux before grabbing her hand and dragging her inside.

Lux was over the moon. It was probably the best night of her life so far and she couldn’t wait to see what else was waiting for her, but for now, she reveled in the feeling of Jinx’s smaller hand on hers and the warmth it made her feel on her chest.

Lux looked up from her phone and glared at the blue-haired girl sitting next to her, who gave her a shit-eating grin before shoving her phone back in her pocket.

“I hate you, you know?” 

“Aw, thanks I love you too Flashlight.” Jinx winked at her and Lux’s blush deepened, eliciting a laugh from the younger of the two.

Thankfully no one was paying attention to them and their complete lack of subtlety, well, at least most of them, Sett and Jinx’s friend with the white hair– Echo? Ekko? Shit, she should’ve paid more attention instead of being gay – were both staring at them with the smuggest smirks she’d ever seen, and Lux groaned internally before looking around the room.

At least everyone was getting along. Or it seemed like it, Seraphine was chatting with Sona very quickly in sign language, and even though she was pretty good at it she had a hard time trying to follow what they were talking about, especially from this angle. Their respective girlfriends were cuddling them while on a different conversation of their own about blades of all things, which now that she thought about it was pretty on character for Irelia. Aphelios was sitting on Sett’s lap on the other side of the room, and they were talking between themselves after the red-haired giant looked away from Lux and Jinx.

The weird part though was Ezreal and Taric, they were sitting next to Lux, and while she was used to them being all over each other all the time and on the verge of making out at every second they were giving a completely different vibe since they got in the room.

Not in a bad way mind you, it’s just that they were looking at Ekko the same way they constantly looked at each other. Which was… New, not something that she expected but not really a surprising thing considering they were somehow the horniest people ever. 

Lux looked back down at her phone, she needed to know that she wasn’t the only one seeing that.

“Yeah, I’d like that.” Lux whispered right next to Jinx’s ear before giving her a small kiss on her temple, making the smaller girl jump in her seat before her cheeks turned slightly red.

“Oh, now who’s being unfair.” She protested with a pout and Lux laughed, the tables definitely turned and the blonde was having a blast taking her turn embarrassing Jinx. But also she felt like she was over the moon, and it showed on the huge grin resting on her lips

Fuck. Yes. She did it! Jinx finally asked her crush out! And she said yes!

And even better, said crush had a huge stupid grin on her face, and Jinx probably also had one, she’d usually try not to be so cheesy in public, but she decided that she could chill this time, after all, she just got a date with the hottest girl she had ever met so why should she care about how her face looked right then? The only person whose opinion about how she looked mattered to her already agreed to go out with her, so fuck it, who cares?

A couple of hours passed with all of them chatting back and forth (Thankfully they ignored the huge grins on both girls' faces) before everyone started leaving one couple at a time, the last of them being Ezreal and Taric. Accompanied by a flustered Ekko who earned a snort and a wave from Jinx when he stood up at the same time as the other two. And he answered by flipping the blue-haired girl off, making her laugh loudly.

“Good night kiddo, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” Jinx teased in a sing-songy voice while Lux tried to hide her own teasing smirk from the boy.

“Fuck off.” Was the only answer they got before he slammed the door behind him, making the remaining pair laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

And just like that, the two of them were alone in the big room, basking in the comfortable silence they found each other in, both trying to find the best way to break it that wouldn’t instantly lead to an awkward situation.

After a couple of minutes, Lux got fed up with it and decided to be the first one to speak.

“Sooo… We lived closer than we thought, huh?” She offered while giving Jinx a small shoulder bump, eliciting a small laugh from her.

“Yeah, here I was, thinking you lived on the other side of fucking Runeterra, but here you were all along.”

“Hah, same. At least I can now be calm that you’re not back home.” Ah, the ever elusive ‘back home’ that Lux refused to talk about, but this wasn’t the moment for that.

“I don’t know what your home was, but I was born and raised here in Zaun, mostly here in this bar really.”

“Yeah, it sure looks like it, I mean you looked like you really knew your way around and were really friendly with the bartender and stuff.” Lux mumbled that last part, and the small tone she noticed at the end piqued Jinx's curiosity.

She almost sounded jealous, why would she be jealous of her sis-

OH.

Shit, this was great. Lux didn’t know who Vi was, well not really, she knew WHO Vi was, but she didn’t know HOW she looked like. This was just golden.

So, the shorter girl tried her best to not start laughing immediately and just hummed as in deep in thought.

“Yeah, one of my dads owned the place, he really loved this shithole, bah, still does, he left it to my sister a few years ago when he retired.”

“Wow that… Sounds like a huge responsibility to take on.” Lux added and Jinx could pick up the small tone of awe in the blonde’s voice, but she decided to ignore the slight pang of jealousy it caused.

“She says it is, but she loves it. That’s why she still works as a bartender here like our old man did instead of just keeping to running it from the background.” Ah, there it was, the look of realization on the taller girl’s face when she mentioned Vi was the bartender and the intense blush that followed it.

That was it, Jinx couldn’t take it anymore, so she started cackling while Lux sputtered on her drink.

“So yes, you were basically jealous of my sister, damn Luxie, that’s a new one.” Lux groaned while Jinx kept laughing like a maniac.

“You are the worst, you know?”

“Yep.” Jinx said, making her lips pop on the p before laying across Lux’s lap like a cat. “You should get used to this blondie, more from where that shit came from and everything.”

“You talk like I wouldn’t want to get used to this though.” Lux said in a soft tone while stroking Jinx’s hair, making the blue-haired girl sigh.

“Even if you don’t want to, it’s too late, you already agreed to go on a date with me. And no take-backsies!”

Lux threw her head back and laughed while Jinx looked up at her, the blue-haired girl’s face was hurting from how much she was smiling since the blonde joined them in the room.

“By the way, I guess you won the bet, do you want me on my knees now or-”

She got interrupted by Lux flicking her on the forehead, with her cheeks completely flushed and giving her the most intense glare she ever received from her up until that point, Jinx instantly started laughing again at the look of sheer embarrassment on the taller girl’s face that quickly turned into another pout.

“You’re so easy Flashlight.”

“Fuck you.” Lux mumbled and Jinx laughed harder until she was interrupted by her phone pinging.

“Okay Luxie, this has been fun, but we gotta go.” Jinx stretched from where she was laying with a groan before she stood up. “My sister is driving you too so don’t worry about anything.”

“Oh! Great! Thanks.” Lux offered her a soft smile before she stood up too, adjusting her dress where Jinx was just laying down before grabbing her purse and her jacket.

By the time she was done grabbing everything, Jinx was already standing at the door waiting for her.

“After you, my lady.” The blue-haired girl said with a small bow while she opened the door for her, which caused a soft chuckle from the blonde. 

“Thank you, my queen.” The taller of the two leaned down and placed a kiss on the other’s forehead before leaving the room.

Jinx watched her walk away with the same smile she held since the other girl walked into the room and let out a soft sigh before closing the door and walking after her.

“I’m just gonna say it before you meet her. I’m sorry for whatever Vi tells you, and also, don’t believe anything she says.”

“Oh, so you’re telling me that she’s willing to tell me embarrassing stories of you?” Fuck, she shouldn’t have said anything, now she dug herself a hole that was gonna be hard to get out of.

And of course, as soon as they got out to the parking lot Vi was standing outside her car with the biggest shit-eating grin ever.

It was going to be the longest car ride of her life, and it was too late to escape.
