Chapter Text

Five walked next to Quentin as they approached the mall. Five reached his hand up and grabbed a hold of Quentin's. He stopped walking once they were safely on the sidewalk. Quentin stopped as well and kneeled down to his level.

"What is it bug?" He asked. He was slightly concerned about the look on Five's face. He looked nervous and he was shifting slightly.

"I thought of a name last night," Five said softly. He looked up at Quentin with a small smile. He had thought about doing a scientific name but he decided to go with a mathematical one instead.

"What is it mini me?" Quentin said with a big smile. He was happy that not only had the boy trusted him to tell him his name but that he chose one this soon.

"It's Psi. You know the reciprocal Fibonacci constant, the division polynomials, and the supergolden ratio in Mathematics?" Psi beamed. In the hour it took for him to go to their room he had decided on it. He thought it was cleaver.

"Well my little Psi bug, are you ready to go shopping?" Quentin asked. Psi looked at his feet. He really didn't want to deal with all the people. It was going to be crowded and he didn't like it.

"Do you want me to carry you?" Quentin asked softly. "You can ride on my back and point things out." Psi nodded and climbed on his back. Quentin jogged to catch up with his husbands. He heard Psi stifle a laugh and smiled. He jogged passed his husbands and other children.

"Hey look at Five," Indie said pointing at them. Viktor laughed and bent down to her level.

"Do you want to do that?" He asked.

"Yes!" Indie and Hiroshi said giggling. They both climbed onto a parents back and held on for dear life. Hiroshi ended up on Viktor's back and Indie on Ben's. The adults took off after their husband with big dorky grins on their faces. Their kids laughed loudly causing some people to look at them.

"What does Indie call you?" Psi asked once they got into a store. He was still on Quentin's back but his siblings were back on the floor looking at room decor for Indie. They were going to go clothes shopping first but they ran passed the clothing stores.

"Indie calls me papa," Quentin said as they looked at decorations for his room. They hadn't found much but what they did was in the cart and stood out from his siblings things. Honestly all three kids had completely different tastes and it was very obvious which thing went to which kid.

"Okay," Psi said putting his chin on Quentin's shoulder. He looked over the different lamps and seen one he liked. "Can I be put down please?"

"Of course," Quentin said and let him down gently. Psi immediately went over to the bendy lamp. He move the three different arms and smiled. He looked over at Quentin.

"Can I get this?" He asked. He could already see all the work he could do with it. It was perfect and what he wished he had at the Academy.

"Of course," Quentin said with a laugh and then he grabbed the box and put it on the bottom of the cart. Psi started to actually look around and he started to find more things he liked.

On the other side of the store Valentino was left with Lila as Diego went to get the things with stand. He was staring at a skater shop. He was curious about it. He liked the music that was coming from it.

"Let's go Tino," Lila said and pulled him to the shop. They entered the shop and Valentino drifted to the skateboards.

"Hey little man looking to be a skater?" A shop worker asked him. Valentino looked at him then Lila. Lila nodded at him that it was okay to talk.

"Ye-yeah," he said before grimacing at his stutter. The shop worker smiled at him.

"Well let's get you a board," they said. They found a board his size and they picked out reliable wheels and a few axis. They watched the worker put the board together.

"Mo-mom," Valentino started, "do you sk-skate?"

"I use to when I was younger," Lila said. "It was actually how I meet your father. We went to the same skate park then he asked me to go to a concert with him. It was amazing."

"A real Teenage Dirt Bag relationship?" The worker asked with a smile.

"Oh absolutely. That's our song actually," Lila said with a laugh. Valentino looked at his mom with a smile.

"Can I he-hear it?" He asked softly. Reginald wouldn't let them listen to music like that. He said it rotted your brain but he wasn't here anymore. Lila lite up.

"Absolutely," she said with a smile. "I'll give you my old MP3 player when we get home. Then I'll teach you and your brother the way of the punk."

"Okay!" Valentino said with a big smile. He was excited to do things with his parents. He never got the chance to bond like that before.

Lila laughed as they paid for the few things they got including Valentino's skateboard. They left the shop right as Diego was rounding the corner. He stopped when he seen the skateboard. He smiled and walked over to him.

"Are we raising punks now?" He asked Lila. He was happy to raise punk kids. They were the best kind if you asked him.

"Oh absolutely. What do you want them to be functioning members of this fucked up society?" She asked.

"Oh hell no," Diego laughed. Valentino looked up at him with bright eyes. He couldn't wait to learn all he could from the two.

"Rule number 1 Tino," Lila said bending down to her level. "Respect is earned not given. If some says that you should respect them but they haven't earned it don't respect them." Valentino nodded as he took this information in. It was simple enough.

"Rule number two," Diego said crouching down as well. "Stand up when you see something wrong happening. Even if it isn't happening to you. Stand up say some do someone." Valentino looked at his dad in awe. He always wanted to do the right thing. He nodded again. His parents stood back to their full heights and Lila took his hand.

"Let's go find the others," Lila said with a smile.
