Chapter Text
Oh my fucking Stars, sex that night was so fucking awesome. He started out the night being gentle and as we were getting more into it, the carnal side of him started gradually coming out. He used the headboard as leverage a few times. I think we managed to move the bed a bit with how much we were into it. The amount of times we both came was something that hadn’t been discovered before. When we would do it normally, I came two or three times by the time he got his. Tonight, I think we both lost track of how many occurred between the two of us.
When I woke up the next morning, he was gone. I sat up, feeling pulls in my muscles in my lower body. I had bruises in places I didn’t think I would get them normally. This would’ve been one of those times that I would’ve rather woken up next to him, but I understood that he had a business to run. It was the thing that was paying for our new place. I took the next few days off of work since I knew that I was going to need time to recover from our night.
I looked over at his side of the bed and saw the note he left. This time there was something next to it. I picked up the note first since I knew it would explain what it was for.
Last night is something that I know will not leave my mind anytime soon. I’m going to see how long I can get away with hiding the hand shaped bruises on my forearms. I already know that as soon as they become known, I’m going to get flamed so hard for it. It’s not like I’m ashamed of it since it’s a reminder of the great time I had with you. I know that I would do it all over again. Anyway, I left a key for you. Go to my place and you’ll see what it’s for. Once you open it, come by the shop.
I love you so much and I’ll see you when you get to the shop.
— Mr. Universe
So the surprises still continued. It took me a minute to get out of bed since I kept feeling aches when I moved. I did agree with him and I would do all of it again. I gathered my clothes so I could take a shower. After I started the shower, waiting for the water to warm up, I saw more bruises and marks that were left behind. I had his hands imprinted on the front and back of my hips as well as marks between my hips. There were marks left on my chest, collarbones, inner thighs, and my upper back. His hands were also imprinted on my forearms and bruises on my upper arms from where he wrapped his arms to hold me as he put his strength behind the heavy thrusts.
I ran my finger tip over the marks and bruises and felt patches of heat. Some of them were raised. A grin crossed my lips. It was the best night I spent with him. I got in the shower and let the warm water run over me, loosening up my body. I remember my body being the most relaxed it had ever been when we were done. We both had a big grin on our faces when we laid beside each other. I had a giggling fit because of how high I was off of the pleasure that coursed throughout my body. It was the best I had ever felt.
After I got done with my shower, I got ready to start the day. I wondered what surprise awaited me now. I made sure to put on a jacket to cover the bruises. After I made it to his place, I saw there was a lockbox on the living room table. After carefully opening it, there was a small black plastic container with a note on it.
Do not open it until you come and see me. Love you.
— Mr. Universe
I was very curious about what was in this container, but there was a seal on it. I wouldn’t have opened it anyway since he said to wait until I saw him. I had an idea of how stressed he was putting this one together. There hadn’t been anything he did that I didn’t like. I had said that I would always love whatever he planned for us. He knew me so well which is why there wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
I rushed to the shop so I could see what was in this container. I walked through the door.
“Boss, Mrs. Universe is here!”
I was anticipating seeing him with that adorable line under his eyes. I walked to the back where his office was. He looked up at me, that heated line could be seen. There was a shy smile on his face.
“Hey Rose! Take a seat!”
That excitement was definitely there which made me smile. I closed the door and sat across from him.
“You’re cute as you usually are when they say that.”
I placed the container on the desk.
“I brought this as you requested. I really want to know what’s in it. It must be something good or else you wouldn’t have put a seal on it.”
He opened a drawer and pulled out the same container but it was light pink…
“I have one thing I would like to ask before I give you this.”
“Okay.”
I could tell he was getting nervous.
“It’s okay, don’t be nervous. There hasn’t been anything that I haven’t liked and I know that it’s not going to change.”
“Yeah, that’s true, but I still wor—”
“Don’t be. I’m not going anywhere.”
He took a deep breath before letting it out slowly.
“Would you be willing to come and work with me?”
“Like quit my job and work for you?”
“Yeah, but it would be beside me, not for me.”
“I don’t know a lot that goes behind all of this.”
“That’s okay. I didn’t know a lot when I took over. I wouldn’t leave you to run things until you were comfortable in doing so.”
One thing I started to notice was that he thought of me as someone truly equal to him. The way he treated me was completely different and at the beginning, I thought it was weird to not be treated like shit. He respected and was nice to everyone around him. I could only assume that he didn’t stay around people that didn’t do the same back. I hadn’t seen anyone that was rude to him during our time together. I’m pretty sure that I would see it from people that came in if I took him up on his offer. I know that customer service isn’t something that’s always friendly, unfortunately.
“I don’t think it would be often that we wouldn’t be together, anyway.”
“I know this is probably going to sound weird to you, but…”
I really wanted to get the thought out, but it wasn’t coming to me. I knew that I had to say something or else it was going to stress him out even more.
“You can tell me no if you don’t want to do it.”
“It’s not that. I… Do you… really see me as someone equal to you?”
“What kind of question is that? Of course, I do. I already told you a long time ago that I’m not like those in your past.”
“It’s just… I’m not used to it. I know that we’ve been together for a year, but one year doesn’t erase the years that I dealt with the bad things.”
“And I know that. I’ve always seen you as an individual, not something. I don’t “own” you. I’m not going to control anything you do. I may offer some kind of insight about it, but I know when you decide on something, you’re going to do it no matter what. It’s just who you are and I accepted that about you a long time ago.”
He placed his arm on the desk, his hand opened. I put my hand into his and closed it around his.
“The only thing I’ll ever “fight” with you about is when you allow for the past to control your outlook like you did at the beginning. I only see myself with you and I can only hope that you feel the same about me.”
“I do.”
I sighed. I said the only thing I knew that I could to put him at ease.
“I trust you.”
I could see his shoulders letting go of the tension that held them up.
“I’m glad that you do. That's all I really ask of you.”
He paused.
“Do you need time to think about my offer? I don’t want to force you to make a decision now if you’re not comfortable about it. I would rather you—”
“I’ll do it.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. If you think that I can do this, then I know I can.”
“Good.”
That devious smile of his told me that there was even more to this.
“That now leads into my next question. Do you want to know what’s in the container?”
“I do.”
“Open it.”
I broke the seal slowly then opened it…
There it was, in velvet lining. It was a black metal band with two light pink horizontal lines in the center.
Oh…
“Now open this one.”
He slid the other one across the desk. I approached it like I did the first one.
I-I-I…
My eyes went wide at the sight of it.
WAS HE BEING SERIOUS ABOUT THIS?!
Things started to make sense. The new place, him wanting me to work alongside him… He had to have been serious about it when he said that he was looking for a new place for… us. It had to have been something in the making for a couple of months now. The crew knew about it since they were trying to hide their smiles when we came in yesterday.
Everything hit me at once.
OH… MY… FUCKING… STARS…
THE REASON WHY THE CREW WOULD SAY THE MRS. UNIVERSE LINE…
THE REASON WHY HE KEPT GETTING THE LINE UNDER HIS EYES…
EVERYTHING FUCKING MADE SENSE NOW…
I think he knew what I was thinking as I’m pretty sure my facial expressions gave me away. He could see that everything clicked with me.
“So? What do you say?”
I nearly leapt across the desk to hold him close to me, fuck all of the pain of the bruising. I now knew just how much I meant to him. He wanted to make me his Mrs. Universe. There were not enough words to describe how I felt. He… actually… wanted… to be… with me. There wasn’t anything hiding it, no lies being told, no pretending.
HE ACTUALLY LOVED ME FOR WHO I WAS…
My eyes teared up out of elation. There was no other that I belonged with. I never thought I would find someone that would take me for who I was… I never thought I would find him. I couldn’t even say that I wouldn’t find someone like him as there was no equal to him… other than me…
I whispered through the tears.
“You are the greatest that has ever happened to me. I’m not letting go of you. You are my everything… you are my Universe.”
“I can only assume that this means yes?”
“Yes.”
I let go of him and went around the desk so I could actually be his arms. He stood up and held me tight in his arms. I couldn’t get over how he actually wanted to marry me. There was nothing that could touch the feelings that I had for him.
“Did you want me to do this “properly”?”
“No. This way was so much better. The build up was worth it.”
“Can I at least put your ring on your finger?”
“Please.”
We pulled apart from each other. He grabbed the pink container and took the band out of it. He thought of us as equals so much that we had matching bands. Grabbing my left hand, he slipped the band on my ring finger, now aptly named. I don’t think I had ever seen his smile as big as it was now.
A few weeks went by. We settled into the new place. I still couldn’t believe what happened and even when looking down at my left hand or seeing his, it still felt like a dream. I think he started doing more things with his left hand so the band could be seen. He was already doing things left handed because of me.
He actually started calling me “Mrs. Universe”. It was only fitting as I always called him “Mr. Universe”. There were very few situations that I would refer to him by his first name and one of those situations was when we were having sex as it held more meaning to me. He still had that shiver when I would say it. I loved seeing and feeling him quiver as I said it when I was coming. I loved being in his arms during the afterglow. It would be said then when I expressed how much he meant to me. We both always said that we loved the other so much.
We were at the shop, going over a few things that needed to be ordered. Working alongside him was something that I didn’t expect. Seeing him be completely professional was something different. He was more stern and articulated, but not rude or mean. I could understand why he had to be like that. It was never directed towards me, even when we were in the professional setting. I know that he shocked a few of the business partners that he bought things through when I accompanied him to the meetings. As I was also an owner of the shop, he always included me in all of the decisions. He viewed us as a partnership, professional and relationship wise.
While we were going over things, he looked up at me since I was sitting across from him.
“I’ve been meaning to ask, but did you want to plan a wedding for us?”
I wasn’t as comfortable as he was being the center of attention. I didn’t want anything that would focus on me.
“Not really. If you want to do something, then I’ll do it for you.”
“I kind of thought you would want to do something.”
“I don’t like being the center of attention. That’s more of your thing.”
“True.”
“I would rather sign the paper and move on with things.”
“We can do that if you would like. Are you sure you don’t want to do something?”
“Out with it, Mr. Universe. You wouldn’t be asking again after I said no the first time.”
A shy smile came across his lips while he rubbed the back of his neck. I knew there was something behind why he asked again. He was one of those people that always had something behind everything he did.
“I would really like to see you in a wedding dress.”
The heated line made itself known. He was so adorable. I decided to make it “worse”. I had a sly smile.
“You mean, you want to see what it looks like on the floor after becoming so horny when seeing me in it.”
I think I made him the most red I had ever seen him. I grinned at him. He looked back down so he could try and compose himself. I whispered to him.
“You want to see me in it so you can tear it off of me, but that’s after you fuck me while it’s on.”
In a hushed whisper, he replied while looking up at me.
“ROSE!”
“What? You do it all of the time. Did you think I wouldn’t pick up on how you work that Charm of yours?”
He tried to hide his face by covering it with crossed arms, leaning forward on the desk. He never had it turned around on him. It was so satisfying to know that I was able to do the same thing to him. I could see why he loved to do it.
“Tell me I’m wrong.”
He let out an exasperated sigh.
“I love you, Greg.”
I softly chuckled at seeing his reaction. He breathed out, his voice muffled and cracking.
“You’re not making this any better.”
“You’re still not telling me I’m wrong.”
He looked up at me, that red line spread to the rest of his face. His voice cracked again.
“I love you, too, Rose.”
I had a smug smirk on my face. It felt so good to turn it around on him.
… but I knew I was going to be “paying” for it once we got home. I would more than gladly pay the price for it. It was so worth it.
