Rewriting: Digimon Adventure 02 Energize Season 03 Episode 13 Last Evolution
Gennai had come from the Digital World to help better explain the situation. He then says that he wished it was a social call to come visit his favorite nephews, but sadly this isn't the case. Matt questioned what he was there for and Gennai says that it seemed that there was something they missed when setting up the Digidestined with their partners, and Tai questions what he means by that exactly?
Gennai then begins to explain saying that usually True Digidestined are selected by the Digital World itself but since they'd meddled too much the Digital World is now Rejecting all the Digidestined they'd set up. Izzy questioned what he meant by Rejecting exactly, and Gennai explains that them becoming Digidestined was by his design instead of the will of the Digital World, a mistake that proved worse than he could have imagined.
Matt tells him to cut to the chase for what's going on, and Gennai says that the Digital World is removing the power that the Digidestined share with their partners, those golden rings are how long they have to say goodbye, and if they Digivolve it will only speed up the process giving them less time to say their goodbyes. Tk then questions why it is they were chosen exactly, and Gennai tells them that it seems to happen at random for who is next to loose their partner and that he's sorry that they had to find out this way.
Suddenly Matt's phone began to ring and we then cut to them in a hospital room with Joe who was telling them what happened showing that Mimi had been put into a Coma like the others had, he'd explained someone heard a crash and then they found her unconscious without Alraumon around as if she'd just vanished. Gennai sighed saying he was hoping they'd managed to stop them.
Tai questions what he knows about this, and Gennai says that they need to for now stay on guard and just try to spend as much time with their Digimon as possible, he'd let them know if he found anything. For now be cautious of who they trust. Tk asked to see Matt and Tai for a moment once Gennai had left and they go off to a private room where Tk showed them something he'd found trying to find out more information about Menoa showing a picture of her with what looked like a Digimon.
He then shows them that Kyotaro had started working for Menoa around the same time as the Comas started happening, and that they should be cautious of both of them. Tai nods saying that he trusts Tk's instincts and Matt does the same. Tai then asked that Tk stick close to Kari to make sure nothing happens to her, and Tk agreed to that saying he'll do everything in his power to protect her.
Tai says that he's going to have a little chat with Menoa about what happened exactly, and the others wish him luck. Tk goes to meet up with Kari and Matt checks on a few things trying to find out more, we then cut to Tai chatting with Menoa saying that he knows she was Digidestined and had a partner. Menoa says that her partner's name was Morphomon and they were always together until one day she'd decided she wanted to be an adult and yelled at Morphomon who asked if she was so sure of that.
She says that Morphomon vanished that day and she's been trying to find her ever since, that's why she'd been doing research on Digimon. Matt meanwhile had been tailing Kyotaro and followed into an old building where there were different stuff on the wall and the man says they weren't sneaky enough to pull that trick with him but he'll tell them the truth. Kyotaro then reveals he was special agent on assignment to pose as Menoa's assistant because the United Nations believes she may have something to do with these comas.
While they were doing that Izzy had discovered Eosmon and Menoa appeared with Izzy having found it suspicious that she showed up just as Eosmon did, and saying he'd found her codes in the data they'd managed to recover. KoKabuterimon questions why she'd do something so terrible, and Menoa says she did it for them, so they would never have to say goodbye like she did a..
Izzy did something no one would ever expect, he just straight up punched Menoa in the face before saying she did it for herself she's selfish she doesn't want people to experience their own feelings how disturbed could she get? She then sighs and says fine, and sends Eosmon after Izzy next making KoKabuterimon vanish as Izzy fell into a comatose state. She then says that she only has a few more to collect, and then they'll be safe and never have to say goodbye.
Izzy secretly sent a message to Tai before Eosmon could get to him and When they got to Izzy's lab he'd already been affected too. Joe also couldn't be reached, Sora was thankfully alright though she'd already excepted that she would have to say goodbye to Piyomon. The others of Tk's team were overseas at the time so they were safe for now at least.
While they were checking the message that Izzy sent to Tai with co-ordinates Tk then came in looking beat up and seriously worse for ware breathing heavily saying Eosmon attacked him and Kari, he'd.. He'd done everything he could but.. Tai tells Tk to calm down, and when he tried to better explain Tk then collapsed as Patamon vanished from the room. Matt yells "THAT DOES IT!" and says that they don't have a choice, they have to go in to get Tk and Kari out, they gotta save the others too. Tai says he's with him, even if it speeds up the process they don't have a choice anymore.
Kyotaro says he'll send them to Eosmon's co-ordinates and the two nod ready to go save everyone. Transferring there they found themselves in a black void where Menoa says she was impressed they found that place, and Matt demands she undo everything she's done. Menoa then says why don't they ask the others and many crystals showed up all around them showing all the Digidestined that had been put into Comas and having been regressed back into children playing with their Digimon while frozen in place.
Tai calls her a twisted bitch for doing all that and Matt says he's had enough The United Nations could bite him, he plans to Kill Menoa for doing all this. Menoa says that they'll have to get through the others first and sends their friends and siblings after the two of them. The world starts blinking with the Words 'Reject, Reject, Reject, Reject, Reject' Flashing over and over again all across the empty black void and Menoa questions what's going on?
Mat then Yelled out "Thanks Old Man" as the words 'Reject' running along the void had started to form Cracks and Menoa looses it ordering Eosmon who'd changed again into the next stage, after them. Meanwhile in the confusion Tai was able to grab Kari's whistle and blew into it snapping them out of it and letting the others be able to join into the fight against Eosmon and Menoa.
Menoa questioned why her perfect world is beginning to crumble, and Matt tells her it's because it's nothing but a fake and they don't want it there, The Digital World belongs to his family his friends, and all the Digimon that live there and all of their friends too, but NOT to her. They REJECT her in this world, that's why it's happening and she Cries for Eosmon to do something. In response it swallowed her and changed forms into it's final stage before it then began to attack while everyone except for Matt, Tai, and Tk, all have their Digimon Digivolve to try to fight back as the Digidestined slowly began to become freed from this lie that she had created and joined in.
Their partners say that they wanna help too, and the three of them Nod saying if this is the final battle then they'd better make sure they got it right, and all six of them say at the same time "THIS IS GONNA BE OUR FINAL DIGIVOVOLUTION!" And they all start to lift up into the sky together with Matt and Tai's Digivices, along with Tk's D-3 all cracking from the amount of power sent through them this caused them all to stop to watch the spectacle.
There in front of them were three gigantic humanoid Digimon Matt's had blue armor with glowing purplish red lines, Tai's was a humanoid Greymon looking creature with glowing blue gems and lines on their body, and Tk's was golden in color with glowing white lines. Tk then questions if they were ready and they tell him that they're with him. Eosmon began attacking again and Matt's partner unleashed something from his back that began zapping all the smaller ones and Tai's partner blasted some too, as did Tk's partner.
Eosmon tried to make large crystals of some sort but they were too fast avoiding them and flying over clocking Eosmon in the face and knocking them onto their back while the words 'reject' continued causing the place to break apart in the background starting to to break it apart as they could see some of the Digital World through some of the cracks. Their partners then unleashed blasts of fire, energy from the little guns they'd sent out, and holy light from their fists all at once making Eosmon go crazy trying to fight back and causing them to break more of the place apart in the process.
Tai says that he needs them, and Matt and Tk both say they are with him as they then fly towards Eosmon again as it put up a bunch of barriers to protect itself, however they'd broken through all of them and slammed into Eosmon breaking them apart in the process. Even after everything Menoa still tried to blame them for destroying her world as it was crumbling to pieces revealing the Digital World around them now.
Tk says that even now she doesn't get it, and Matt says that at this point he doesn't think she ever will, it's time to throw her out once and for all. Suddenly the word 'Gift' appeared wrapping itself around Matt's wrist before sliding forwards leaving a gold and white colored shotgun with three barrels that had been sawed off and Matt then nods saying "Fine then, I get it." Before then pointing it at Menoa yelling "GET OUT OF OUR WORLD!" before pulling the trigger.
Menoa then finds herself waking up in Izzy's lab and tried to go on the Run but Tk had stood up having regained consciousness asking if she was going somewhere, before then striking her in the side of her jaw knocking her over and giving Kyotaro the chance to arrest her. Soon the others all began to wake up and transfer from the Digital World back to the human one and returning to their bodies.
We then get to the next day as it was about time for the final marks to disappear from the ring and Gennai appeared saying that "It was ready" with the Digidestined nodding and Tai tells him to "Do it" with a Nod Gennai then unleashed a flash across every screen in the world and across the sky itself that made everyone except for those who previously, or were currently still, partnered with Digimon forget about them.
Gabumon asked Matt to play the harmonica for him one last time, and he'd nodded starting to play while Tai was enjoying a meal with Agumon. Tk was with Kari holding Patamon in his lap gently petting them, their partners asked if they could play again someday and the three of them nodded turning to look at their partners who'd already vanished as their Digivices and D-3 then corroded over.
Matt and Tai both began to cry over the loss of their partners. Meanwhile Tk was also crying over the loss of his partner too with Kari there trying to help console her boyfriend holding onto him while he cried into her shoulder unable to hold back the tears. And that.. THAT is how our long adventure together with the Digimon truly ended, we were never to see them again. But where one story ends, a new one is just beginning.
