Chapter Text

Harry or Hadrian as his name was, had always known he was adopted since his childhood. He knew he looked different than his other peers. He could look at his parents, at his elder brother, know he was different than them, that he was adopted by his family. His now parents had found him on a doorstep in a neighborhood while they driving through the road, and took him in. He was soon blood-adopted, when his parents found who he was, and took him away to South Korea, their country. He could admit he had a very loving family. Loving and caring parents, Kim Sohee and Kim Wooseok, and a protective older brother, Kim Jaehyuk he was happy with his lot in life.

He remembered bits of his life before being adopted by the Kims. But he knew that he had been in a lot of pain with the people he lived with. Hadrian was adopted at the age of 5 by his now parents.

Kim Sohee and Kim Wooseok were a magical family, belonging to the Kim clan. Hadrian or Jaesung - as they had named him when he was blood-adopted by them – was only 4 years younger than his older brother Jaehyuk. Their parents could not have any more children, some potions accident when in school, Jaehyuk himself was a miracle child and it had taken a toll on their mother. Both Hadrian and Jaehyuk were treated equally in the small family they had. Kim Sohee was a lawyer, a great one at that, and Kim Wooseok, after retiring as a worker in Department of Finance in South Korean Ministry of Magic, began his own clothing line.

After graduating from both muggle university and completing his magical education, Hadrian hadn’t known what to do for his career, so his father offered a modelling job for his clothing line, and Hadrian had the looks to be a model. Due to his work for his father, Hadrian’s popularity increased and later he was scouted as a professional model for a company and became the brand ambassador for a famous clothing line along with his father’s. Later Hadrian also tried his hand in acting, which did result in success.

It was when Hadrian had turned 16, his parents had sat him down and told him the real and whole truth about his background; about just who he really was. How he had seemingly defeated a Dark Lord named Voldemort in England, how he is known as the “Boy-Who-Lived” because of it, and how his biological parents had sacrificed themselves so they could live and how they had found him. How the Light side will want him to fight for their cause and how the Dark side will want to kill him for what he had done to their Lord, rather how Voldemort himself will want him dead due his defeat at the hands of a baby. That he was a horcrux, for a while at least before they had gone to the goblins to remove the soul shard, which leeched on his own soul and magic to stay in a state of “being”. They also told him that Voldemort was back and that he may hunted again by him again.

Hadrian didn’t really care for Britain and its internal problems, after all he was a citizen of South Korean, where is parents were, where he grew up. He didn’t really have any attachment to Britain, but to avoid any ugly confrontation with Voldemort, that when he does visit Britain for his work in the future, he listened to his parents and discussed and decided that a treaty with Voldemort might be good thing to avoid those ugly confrontations. After much discussions, Hadrian and his father decided that they’d travel to London with utmost protections to not be tracked by the Light or the Dark sides of the war. They booked a hotel in middle of London where it was crowded to help in anonymity, away from where Leaky Cauldron was located, so as to not run into any British wixen and penned a letter to Voldemort to have a meeting of utmost importance, that they are a party interested in having a discussion with him without disclosing what it really is and only mentioned the names Kim Wooseok and Kim Jaesung. Truth, but partial truth at least, while hiding their identities.

Voldemort had replied positively to the letter, probably curious as who wanted to meet with him, people from far away from Britain. The venue of the meeting was left to Lord Voldemort, who had selected the Leaky Cauldron. Both parties had used a disguise to enter the room booked for the meeting on the day it was held. Voldemort had attended alone and was very surprised who he was meeting. To Hadrian who had researched the man had found that he was an insane, sadistic man who enjoyed killing people, whether they be muggle or magical. But before him stood a sane man, with keen intelligence in his eyes, no matter how snake-like he looked, which Hadrian considered to be a good thing.

Voldemort had calmly listened to the story Hadrian and his father had told and how he wanted nothing to do the war the British had going and that he didn’t want it to affect his working life, as he’d have to attend shows and have photoshoots that he may have in future. Voldemort had proposed a treaty on non-violence, where Hadrian would not support the Light faction in any manner, he’d never raise a wand against the Dark side without provocation or in self-defense on his side. For Voldemort, he will not command his people to attack him, and only raise a wand against Hadrian Potter when provoked. It took a few days to finalize the treaty contract and sign it and both parties went their own separate ways.

Both Lucius and Severus are shocked at hearing their Lord explain what happened in the past to ignore Potter like that.

“But, my Lord, why didn’t you inform anyone of it?” Lucius asks bravely.

Voldemort glares at Lucius who shrinks in his seat. Severus too looks curious. Finally with a sigh, Voldemort explains.

“It really isn’t anyone business, Mr. Potter wanted to keep his visitations to Britain a secret so he would not be disturbed during his work, like Dumbledore did today. Mr. Potter occasionally visits Britain for work, finishes it and goes back to wherever he is needed. And what being a celebrity in the muggle world, if the press finds out and photograph him with wixen hounding him, it will spread fast and he will have to answer unsavory questions. You were lucky today, Severus, that you met him in his hotel room.”

Severus nods in understanding, keeps his mouth shut, knowing that his Lord does not wish to speak on this topic more and that he has essentially won the war. Without Potter the Light side will never gain traction it needs to win.
