Chapter Text
Bibi stands in the doorway, waiting for Edgar to give a response. Just then, lightning struck, and the sound of thunder echoed through the castle.
It was so loud, it shook the walls. Bibi got scared and quickly hugged Edgar and hid her face in his chest. She whimpered, and closed her eyes tight, she was on the verge of tears.
Edgar sighed. He then signaled his scarf. He put his arms behind Bibi, and with the help of his scarf, carried her to the bed.
Bibi got in the bed. Edgar was hesitant with laying down next to Bibi, but seeing her scared reminded him of way back when they first met.

Middle school, 8th grade:
Edgar was bullied a lot at school, and unfortunately, no one wanted to be his friend.
Everyday, he’d go to school with new scars and bruises all over his body. The kids would call him a freak, or a weirdo. The teachers and counselors weren’t very helpful with trying to help Edgar fit in, if anything, they just made him feel worse.
He thought he was going to be alone forever, until one day…
“Hey you!” A boy yelled at Edgar from across the locker room.
They were the only two in there.
Edgar slowly turned around. “Y-y-ya?”
“Come over here.” The boy answered.
Edgar wasn’t finish changing, and only had his pants on. He slowly walked over to him.
The boy grinned, as two other boys walked from behind him. The boy who called out to Edgar punched him in the ribs, and then the two other guys went and kicked him to the ground.
Edgar who was on the ground now, with a broken rib, called out for his scarf, which was inside his backpack. The scarf came out and quickly pulled Edgar away to the exit door, to where he bolted out as fast as he could from the boys.
He ran behind a tree to catch his breath, and then started to cough up some blood. Tears started running down his face.
The three boys walked out of the locker room, looking for Edgar. “Come out you freak!” One of the boys yelled out. “You’re fucking dead!”
Edgar sat down and cried, while his scarf sat him up in way so that he would hurt his broken rib anymore.
“Gotcha!” One of the boys said while coming up from behind the tree. The boy kicked Edgar in the face, sending him to the ground.
The three boys surrounded Edgar. On of the boys pulled out a pocket knife and slow walked towards Edgar, as he tried to crawl away.
The boy grabbed Edgar from his hair and pulled him up towards him. The scarf tried to fight off the boy, but he grabbed it, threw it to the other boys, which continued to step on it.
The boy who grabbed Edgar set his pocket knife right next to his neck. Just before he was about to cut him, the boy heard someone right next to him. He turned and saw a bat swing towards him, hitting him off Edgar.
“Leave him alone!” Yelled a girl who had just hit the boy. She was holding a bat, and was wearing a purple jacket.
The boy who got hit by the bat snapped his fingers, and the two other boys went towards the girl. One of the boys punched her, while to other kicked her right after.
The girl got knocked to the ground, and one of the boys got on top of her, holding her arms apart.
“Well aren’t you a pretty thing?” The boy said to her.
The girl started whimpering, as tears filled her eyes. She was helpless.
Edgar, who was on the ground, barely able to breath, saw her face, the pain in her eyes, and the suffering she is now going through, all because she helped him. Well, he wasn’t just about to let the only person to stand up to him in all those years through school get hurt because of his problems.
Edgar, despite having a broken rib, got up and ran towards the boy on top of the girl, and punched the boy right in the face. It was the first time Edgar punched someone. When he did, he noticed that the sharp pain in his rib, felt better.
The three boy got up into Edgar’s face, ready to take him on again. This time though, Edgar was going to fight back, because now he had something worth fighting for. The scarf got up on Edgar, and together, they fought the three boys. With each punch, Edgar’s bruises and scars started disappearing, as if he was healing.
One of the boys pulled out his pocket knife again and stabbed Edgar in the stomach. Edgar with one final breath, punched the boy and knocked him out.
Edgar then turned to the girl. “T-t-thank, you…” He fell to the ground, as the stab wound caused him to lose a lot of blood.
Edgar woke up in a hospital bed, to where the girl was sitting on a chair next to his bed.
The girl noticed that Edgar finally woke up.
“Oh! You’re awake!” The girl said, as she lightly hugged him.
Edgar wasn’t really sure what a hug was, and was a bit confused what she was doing, but, it made Edgar feel good.
“Where am I?” Edgar asked.
“You’re in a hospital right now. I took you the the school nurse when you passed out, and they called 911.” The girl answered.
“Oh, t-thank you.” Edgar said. “Also, w-why are you here?”
“I wanted to know if you were going to be okay.” The girl said.
“But, why?” Edgar asked, being very confused.
“You saved my life from those guys! If it wasn’t for you, who knows what they would’ve done to me.” The girl responded.
“I’m sorry for putting you in danger.” Edgar responded. “Why did you help me in the first place?”
“I saw them beating you up, and I ran over as fast as I could.” The girl replied. “I couldn’t bare to see someone get hurt that way.”
Edgar, for the first time up to that point, smiled. “T-thank you. What’s your name by the way?”
“My name is Bibi…”

End of flash back…
Thunder struck again, and Bibi hid under the blankets of the bed. She was shaking from fear.
Edgar got into the bed, and hugged her.
Bibi’s trembling slowly stopped, and soon she was no longer scared.
There was a difference between love and just comforting your best friend when they needed it. Edgar and Bibi both understood that.
Bibi turned towards Edgar and snuggled next to him. “Thank you for letting me sleep with you.” She said.
“No problem, I know how scared you are of lightning.” Edgar replied.
They laid there together, slowly falling asleep.
Until they started hearing moaning from the wall, and since the room was right next to Mandy’s and Chester’s, it could have only meant one thing.
“Haha, and they say they’re not dating.” Bibi commented.
Morning finally arrives…
Edgar wakes up and sees that Bibi was still asleep. He gets up from the bed and walks out the door to see if Mandy or Chester was up yet. He knocked on their door, to which Chester opened.
“Good morning Edgar!” Chester said. “How did you sleep?”
“I slept good, crazy storm last night though.” Edgar replied.
Mandy got to the door also. “Oh hey Edgar.”
Bibi then got up and walked into Mandy’s bedroom.
“Hey were you two having sex last night?” Bibi asked as she wiped her eyes, trying to fully wake up.
Mandy and Chester became silent.
“Haha, Bibi why don’t we go wash up so we could eat breakfast?” Edgar said, while pulling Bibi away.
“Dang it why did we give Edgar the bedroom right next to us.” Mandy asked Chester while blushing.
Everyone washed up, and went to the main floor of the castle to eat breakfast. Everyone sat at a round table.
Mandy snapped her fingers, to which a robot servant went over and gave everybody their own breakfast.
“ENJOY.” The robot said.
“Oh wow, neat.” Bibi commented.
“Ya, the robots were such a great addition to the castle.” Mandy said. “Really makes me feel less alone whenever Chester is out.”
“Aww, are you saying you miss me?” Chester asked.
“Haha, No.” Mandy answered.
Everyone was eating their food. They talked about the dreams they had last night, and how Edgar and Bibi kept getting lost around the castle.
Then, there was a knock at the door.
“Ooh, now who might that be?” Chester said as he walked over to the castle’s doors.
He opened the door, and standing there was Sandy, holding a bag of his stuff for the rest of the sleep over.
“Heyyy everyone.” Sandy said.
Bibi immediately blushed when she saw Sandy.
“Oh h-hey Sa-“
“OH hiii Sandy! Glad you could make it!” Mandy said, cutting Bibi off.
“Hey Sandy, how’ve you been?” Edgar asked.
“I’ve been, sleepy.” Sandy answered as he gave out a yawn. “You guys don’t happen to have any Max energy drinks do you?”
“Nah, we have something better!” Chester answered. “We have water!”
Chester walked Sandy to his room, (eventually considering Sandy barely made it up the first flight of stairs).
“Soooo, Bibi, do you still like Sandy?” Mandy asked while smiling.
“Oh shut up!” Bibi snapped at Mandy while blushing.
“Bibi why don’t you ever try making a move?” Edgar asked.
“Well, we’re not even that close. I’m afraid he won’t like me.” Bibi answered. “Plus, I’m scared too.
“Sandy is a chill dude, just try your best to talk to him more often, and be close with him.” Edgar responded.
“Or you could just wear sexy clothes around him, and then maybe bend over in front of him-“ Mandy continued.
“Mandy! Not everyone is into that type of stuff! Especially not Sandy.” Edgar said.
Bibi started to look embarrassed.
“Hey Bibi, just be yourself around him.” Edgar responded.
“That’s the thing I’m scared about though.” Bibi answered.
“Hey guys! Come upstairs and start changing so we can go to mall!” Chester yelled out.
Everyone went up and started changing.
Bibi was walking to the bathroom, and opened the door, to see Mandy changing.
“Mandy, how do you do it?” Bibi asked.
“What do you mean?” Asked Mandy.
“Like, with Chester, how did you get him to like you.” Bibi replied.
“Ugh! For the last time, Chester and I are not dating!” Mandy angrily said. “But, if you want to know how to get a guy to like you, all you got to do, is look as sexy as possible.” Mandy answered, thinking her advice is actually good.
“Hmm, I’m not sure how to though, I don’t think I even look attractive.” Bibi answered.
“What?! Bibi your so beautiful, and I’ve always been jealous of how gorgeous your hair is, so trust me, your fine girl.” Mandy explained. “Here, when we go to the mall, try walking with Sandy, and just talk with him. Also, tonight we’re gonna watch a movie in the castle, I think sitting next to him would be a good idea.”
“Well if you say so. Thanks.” Bibi replied.
“Also, you wanna know how to have good sex with him-“ Mandy continued.
“OKAY okay that’s enough!” Bibi exclaimed as she walked out of the bathroom blushing.
Meanwhile, the guys were changing.
Sandy was already in his clothes, so he was just waiting for Chester and Edgar to finish.
“Chester, this is such a hugeeee place.” Sandy explained as he fell onto the ground. “So soft too~”
“Thanks! But wait till you see the ladies in action haha!” Chester responded.
“W-what?” Sandy said, confused.
“Never mind” Chester answered.
“Hey Sandy, when was the last time you hung out with Bibi?” Edgar asked.
“Oh, uhm. I don’t remember. Perhaps a couple months ago.” Responded Sandy. Sandy gave out another yawn. “Why do you ask?”
“Oh just asking.” Edgar responded. “Are you guys close at all?”
“Eh not really, she is a pretty cool person so.” Sandy answered, giving off a faint smile. “A pretty cool person indeed. She has a great personality, and is cute too.” Sandy continued. “But I don’t think she’s very fond of me, she seems a bit more distant from me than she is to you guys.”
It took a second, then Edgar finally realized why Bibi never made a move on Sandy. They both think that the other person doesn’t like them.
