Notes:

Posting this as a single work to avoid flooding people's notifications, but I intend to add drabbles here periodically during this contest! These will range pretty wildly in tone, so keep your seatbelts fastened at all times.

Chapter 1: Sleep It Off

Chapter Text

Some days, Dennis wakes up still drunk, the sour taste of booze and vomit on his breath, his head pounding so hard the room spins. Sometimes he remembers none of the night before, but occasionally, an errant memory slips through his drunken haze. He’d rather it didn't – If he doesn’t remember it, it didn’t happen.

He didn’t give Mac a fumbling hand job in the dark, and Mac didn’t fall to his knees and wrap his mouth around Dennis’s cock. And most importantly, Dennis didn’t spend another night sleeping next to Mac, pressed firmly against his side. Certainly not that.

Chapter 2: Girls' Night

Summary:

Girls' Night: Dee is into the Waitress but fully lacking in self-awareness.

Chapter Text

Dee’s never gotten along well with other women. They hate that she’s pretty and funny - a double threat. But she’s in desperate need of a girl’s night, to lounge on the couch with Artemis and the Waitress, gossiping over bottles of wine.

She would love for the Waitress to stop being so jealous of her (She’s pretty enough to do it! Dee is prettier, but it’s not a competition) and to stop whining about alcohol (She’s always complaining about being an alcoholic, as if that’s Dee’s problem). But still, it’d be fun to get the three of them together again.

Chapter 3: Mac and Dennis Fight the Climate Crisis

Summary:

Mac and Dennis Fight the Climate Crisis: Exactly what it sounds like. Please do your best to hear all of Dennis’s line in his “we’re in twoOoOoo wars” voice.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

“You know, a lot of people don’t know this, but the world is rapidly heating up.”

“It is?”

“It sure is, Mac! That’s why I started this radio show. Let’s talk climate! Have you heard of oil slicks?”

“No, but they sound pretty hot. Are they a sex thing?”

“Unfortunately, no, Mac, they are not. But they are indeed hot! Oil is heating up our world, and that’s why we have to get rid of it. We need more oil spills!”

“Oh wow, I’ve never heard that on the news.”

“That’s because I’m a thought leader, Mac. I’m always thinking.”

Notes:

A few weeks after this, there's an oil spill, and they're investigated for ecoterrorism lmao

Chapter 4: And the Rest Is History

Summary:

And the Rest Is History: Charlie/the Lawyer. We've entered crack ship territory.

Chapter Text

The Lawyer was showering when someone started pounding on his door. Exasperated, he threw a towel around his waist.

“How the fuck do you know where I live.”

“Wanted your thoughts on bird law! I’m the expert, but it’s good to talk shop, swap secrets.”

“You’re not an expert in anything. You’re not even a lawyer.” He stepped forward, poking a finger at Charlie’s chest.

Charlie wasn’t listening, though – His eyes were glued to his hips. Oh, right. The towel.

You know what, fine , he hadn’t gotten laid since his divorce, this might as well happen.

“Want to come in?”
