Being able to reunite back with Kim- no, Cale had already been good enough to make him feel like he could face all the problems in the world.
But when they were finally able to reunite with Choi Jung Soo he felt like his heart was going to explode.
He couldn't describe the way his heart was pounding with happiness at being able to be together with his two beloved Dongsaengs again. All of that, of course, didn't even manage to compare when they were caught in a hug from the (called) demon, one that Cale surprisingly didn't refuse, only making weak, fake protests about how he didn't want Jung Soo's germs to rub off on him.
Ah, he thought, it's like being on Earth all over again.
On Earth, Lee Soo Hyuk had always strived to carry the weight of the world, to make sure everyone was safe and happy. Even when his human limitations made it impossible for him to continue, he did not regret his decisions.
Especially, he had no regrets when he saw his Dongsaengs fighting like children and causing trouble wherever they went in the apocalypse, always taking him with them because "Team Leader/Hyung would die without us."
Seeing them being so happy was enough for him.
Now, he also thought while being carried away by the always affectionate Choi Jung Soo, I'm definitely not going to fail again.
