Chapter 1: Coughing fits are everywhere

Steve quietly, but quickly ran into the bathroom. Grabbing tissue to muffle his coughing. As he was hacking he noticed a flower in his hair. With his free hand he tries to pull it out. "Ah! " he coughed, 'why did that hurt..?! ' he thought. Steve leaves it alone and starts thinking about if he should tell the party about this but he tells Himself to not.
He quietly walked back into the living room, so he doesn't wake up the kids up. But that failed when a sudden coughing fit started, but this time it wasn't Steve.... It was Robin... Everyone suddenly woke up, "Rob are you okay!? " Steve had screamed out of worry.
"Sh... "
She coughed and coughed until she said "W-water" it was weak yeah, but she was his Paltionic soulmate. She was his best friend and he'd do anything for her. So he rushed into the kitchen and came back with a glass of water. He handed her the water and asked her again " Here, Rob are you okay..? " he tried to sound calm but it had come out shaky. "Yes but I heard you coughing way worse than I was are you okay..? " she said to him. Everyone's eyes we're on him...

Steve tries to answer them but he couldn't he just couldn't... No matter how hard he tried he couldn't speak... He tried once more but nothing cane out. He couldn't figure why he couldn't say anything until he felt something in his throat...
He immediately starts coughing, blood splattering out of his mouth. Eddie and Nancy were the first to do something. Both running in different directions, Nancy ran into the kitchen grabbing a glass and rushing over to the sink filling up the glass with water.
Eddie however ran towards him as Steve fell to his knees, hands on his throat. Eddie crouches down and starts tracing circles into his back trying his best to calm Steve down as he started crying.
Once Nancy came back with the water she gave it to Steve. As he drinks it everyone calms down just a little still worried for Steve. He stops coughing, but however he is still crying as he is still in pain.
Steve starts to sob into Eddie's embrace, coughing a few seconds after doing so. More blood came out of his mouth and got on Eddie's clothes. He coughed and coughed until something came out of his mouth. Steve quickly picked it up and ran into the kitchen before anyone could see...
Steve rushed over to the sink washing whatever he had coughed up in the sink. Once he was finished he looked at it again... It was a beautiful black rose with Razer sharp leaves. It was truly a beauty but what was it doing in his body...?
Steve walked back into the room the party was gathered in. Dustin ran up to him hugging him tight. He hissed in pain as he discovered earlier that his wounds hurt after pressure is put onto them. "W-whats wrong..? " He asked Steve. "Please don't do that again my wounds hurt... " Steve replied.
"But I sorta coughed something up... " Steve continues, everyone looks at him confused and curious. "Well what is it Steve..? " Nancy asks. Steve hesitated as he uncovered the rose the beautiful rose which he had coughed up.
"Steve... "
"Yes"
"Can we talk privately now... "
"Sure... "
