Hermione snorted. “She was busy daydreaming about Riddle again. He looked at her for like two seconds.”
“No,” Harry said quickly. “He also rolled his eyes at me!”
“You're the only person who takes that as a good thing,” Ron said. “It’s not a good thing that he’s rolling his eyes at you, stop seeing it that way!”
“It is coming from him,” Harry insisted confidently. “I know it. It’s his love language.”
Harry Potter was head over heels in love with Tom Riddle. This was as obvious to everyone as the sky being blue.
Getting in detention, luring him into conversations, and unintentionally getting paired with him for projects are the only ways she knows how to get his attention. If only he watched her during Quidditch matches, maybe she'd have a better chance, but he didn't care for Quidditch.
How was she supposed to make him realize they're meant to be together?
