Chapter Text
Tallulah(third person) POV:
Tallulah was so excited. Today, her older brother and father would visit! She frowned when she noticed her mother in his corner. He was always there when Papa was visiting. She didn't understand why he seemed so scared when Papa came. Papa was harmless! She noticed that over the years, Mama and Big Brother fundys' relationship was strained, her older brother ranboo said it was because him and mama were fiance once and that mama was mad that fundy wouldn't help him get out.
She didn't understand why Mama wanted out so much. Yeah, outside was cool, but inside here, they were safe! In all her fourteen years of life, she had been inside the basement, and she was fine with it. She knew Mama grew up outside the basement, and maybe he just missed his old friends, but he had her and Papa, so their was no reason to be angry at Papa.
She knew Mama loved Papa. He said it all the time he just didn't like being inside the basement and was angry at Papa. Mama was twnety-four at the moment, but when he first came, he was eighteen. In all her six years of life, she never saw outside, and she was fine with it for the most part. She knew Mama would sometimes be able to go outside to visit friends, but he wasn't out much.
Papa said it was only because he didn't want anyone to get suspicious, whatever that meant. Papa said Mama might not like it now, but it was for their safety. He said not many people liked Mama outside of the bunker or basement, whatever you'd like to call it. She learned the word bunker a week ago and loved to call the basement a bunker since they were so alike.
Speaking of Papa, she heard the basement door opening, meaning Papa was here! Tallulah loves when papa is here, it means they get more snacks and food! Though he rarely comes, and sometimes when he comes hell take mama away.. Tallulah doesn't like when mama's not here, mama protects her from the monsters in the corner who want to hurt her... Mama claims he doesn't see the monsters, but that's only because they come out when mama's not here, when he cant protect her...
When Tallulah was young mama would get mad when Tallulah called him mama and would demand her to call Tallulah, 'dream'. Tallulah was around two around that age, she had been very sad afterwards. Papa claimed Tallulah had something called 'depression', shes not sure what that means but afterwards mama allowed her to call him mama, so its okay. Tallulah remembers very vaguely how she'd frequently cry herself to sleep, and papa would be very mad at mama the next day.
Once she'd asked mama why he hated papa so much, but he only replied that he didn't, he was just angry at how papa treated them. She didn't exactly understand why he was so mad, she use to be angry too, but she grew up and realized papa was only trying to protect them, so why didn't mama understand? Wasn't mama a grownup? So he should know better, but he obviously isn't if he doesn't like papa! Mama always said it wasn't him who didn't understand, but Tallulah, Tallulah disagrees though.
Tallulah didn't want to hurt mama's feelings though. Papa always says Tallulah smart, and she cant disagree. She must be very smart, especially if she was stronger then mama. She never told mama that though, she didn't want to hurt his feelings. The door creaked open, and mama visibly tensed up causing Tallulah to frown. She didn't like when mama felt scared, it made her feel scared.
She crawled over to mama, hugging his waist. She knew he liked being cuddled, he just didn't like to admit it. He was often more distant when it came time that papa would visit. As soon as the door opened, a six year old conner came running inside the room, smiling widely and hugged his younger sister. She smiled and giggled, hugging him back tightly. Her other brother, fundy came inside. She knew fundy didn't like her much, but she loved her big brother.
" Bubba! " She screamed happily, before running over and hugging him. He just awkwardly patter her shoulder. Wilbur said it was because fundy was jealous of the attention she received from wilbur well growing up since wilbur wasn't a good father as a teen. Papa was twenty-seven, and bubba was twenty-four. She didn't quite understand it, he said it was because when he was in the 'train station' bubba was about four, and he was twenty.
When he got out fundy was about nineteen, and he was of course still twenty-two, it he used the age he had become while using the 'train station' time he'd be in his sixties he claimed, and since mama was so young he didn't claim that, they had about a 3 year age difference, during the time he had left, and still do since he used 'modern' time to decide his age. He has a white streak across his hair though, and Tallulah likes to jokingly say hes a old man.
Fundy didn't like being called bubba, but he didn't say much anymore, Tallulah assumes that papa told him something. She noticed from the corner of her eye mama getting up and also noticed papa was infront of mama. When she turned around fully the two were kissing, and she quickly turned around covering her eyes. " Ewww, blah! " She screamed loudly sticking her tongue out.
She heard papa chuckle under his breath, and noticed mama walking towards her after peeking her eyes open. She squealed and giggled loudly when mama picked her up and through her in the air before catching her. Conner hit mama's legs, and lifted his arms. Conner has a disorder called Solipsism syndrome disorder, that meant he believes he was the only real person, that's what papa said at least.
However he showed indications that he believed mama was a real person with real feelings. Whenever asked about it, he said mama was different then others, his feelings were to real to be ignored, and he wasn't selfish and showed signs of being real like conner, or something like that. Tallulah didn't really pay attention, conner also had autism, and had signs of having PTSD like mama too. Mama had PTSD but when ever tallulah asked why he refused to answer
