It’s past 10 late into the night, and Monomon is still in her office working past business hours. A tentacle over her forehead, her eyebrows furrowed, and her eyes drooping from exhaustion and the headache of approving and rejecting many papers. The scritch and scratch of her ink pen is the only sound in her office besides a frustrated groan in between. Slamming the ink pen on the desk, she leaned back in her chair and stared up at the ceiling for a moment. She’ll work on these papers for a bit more before going to bed on her couch. But first, coffee.
Getting up from her seat and grabbing her empty mug, she shuffles to the break room to make herself a pot. Turning on the pot and waiting for the coffee to brew in her cup, once finished she blew on the hot drink before taking a sip. There, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed her assistant; Quirrel, sleeping hunched over on his desk. Shaking her head, she walks towards his desk and sets the cup down. Going over to the closet where they keep spare blankets, she grabbed one and wrapped it around his shoulder. She then turned off his office lamp before returning to her office. Just one more paper and she’ll be finished. Taking another sip of coffee, she picks up her ink pen and gets to work.
