Work Text:

The vampire visited again today.

He doesn't really like when she visits. The vampire always brings stuff that makes his head hurt.

"Hello Simon." The vampire gave him a weak grimace. Or was it a smile? It's hard for him to understand what faces mean.

Also, he doesn't know why the vampire calls him that name.

"I brought you something new." The vampire shakily says. Her eyes looked a little shiny for some reason. He wonders why.

It's hard to remember things.

All he knows is that he woke up being called something.

The vampire was reaching into her bag.

He doesn't like when she brings things.

The vampire pulls out something.

"I brought you a polaroid. I think you'll like it Simon." She grins(?) a little at him.

He doesn't like when she calls him by that name. It makes his head hurt.

The vampire is holding the photo out to him.

He stares at it. He's worried that it'll make his head hurt, like the time she brought him a bowtie.

The vampire's frown(???) was fading a little. She was still awkwardly holding out the polaroid.

He takes the photo. He'd rather have her not be angry.

She seems a bit happier now that he took it.

He glances down.

"It's you Simon. It's me and you..." The vampire says, a weak grin on her face.

His head hurts. It's hard to focus on the photo.

"D-Do you remember anything Simon?" She asks.

His head really hurts.

He thinks she has the wrong guy. He doesn't know why she keeps calling him by that name.

His head hurts the more he looks at the photo.

The vampire was still staring at him.

He shoves the photo back at her. His head's fuzzy again.

Her grin fades.

"C'mon Simon, you have to remember something ... anything?" She says.

He thinks she's mistaken.

"Please, you have to be lying or something. You remember something?" She was getting glassy-eyed.

He doesn't know how to respond to her.

The vampire goes quiet and looks down a little.

He wants to help her but doesn't know how.

She stands up, gently holding the photo and gripping her bag harshly. She stares down at him, eyes filled with water for some reason.

He stares back at her.

She leaves.

He wonders why she keeps visiting.
