Work Text:
Foolish and Cellbit have a strange relationship. In a sense they're family, Roier is pretty serious about Vegetta and Foolish being his parents. Adopted or not they care for him, and Leo cares for him like a brother...and roier vice versa. That's enough for Cellbit to care about them too. Anything for his guapito.
But finding out he has a sister? A family? It's not possible.
Foolish looks at him with something akin to worry as he asks if he's alright. Tina is staring from behind him, her eyes lazer focused into his head like she's trying to read his intentions. Bad is asking if he's alright now too. For a moment it feels like care...but it's not. Bagi teleports in and Cellbit runs, he goes somewhere else and away from Foolish's bad attempts to hide him. He feels like he's disconnected from his own life a bit, just watching on a movie screen as someone pilots his body. He's talking to himself...but it's more like listening from a third person point of view.
He can't let himself think about it anymore, because dwelling on it for too long means that the rage will overcome him and he doesn't want it to. Not yet. There's too much at stake to lose his temper now...he needs to be calm, calculate everything. There is a lot to get revenge for.
He shudders.
Foolish whispers to you: sooooo uhhhhh how are you feeling now that you have a sister? :D
You whisper to Foolish: it's fine
Cellbit grips his communicator hard, he wants to feel it crack beneath his fingertips. Yet another reminder of how much was taken from him. However...He can't find the strength to do it, after all this is where the messages from his guapito go to.
Foolish whispers to you: wanna go for a beer? drinks on me
You whisper to Foolish: not thinking much about it now, too much stuff to do
He thinks about saying yes to Foolish, a drink sounds kind of nice right now. but before he can even type that message out Foolish is sending another and Cellbit remembers he needs to be clear headed to do any sort of real work.
Foolish whispers to you: right right, busy guy
You whisper to Foolish: yeah, i'll let you know if I get some free time though
Foolish whispers to you: ALRIGHT! BEST OF LUCK! IM ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU SON
And Cellbit cracks, for just a moment, he feels the pressure upon his shoulders pull him under the waves that constantly threaten him. He laughs at the sentence for a moment but stays quiet for a second after. He wonders what it would be like to have his mom and dad, to grow up with his sister in that house. Sneaking sweets into bed and waiting for his mom cut the crusts off his sandwiches if he so asked. He wondered what it would be like to grow up next to his twin and be best friends and solve mysteries together. He wonders a lot of things. He reminisced on times with Leo, taking care of the girl with Roier, her calling him her brother in law, taking photos with presidential candidates, a family photo of the two and Roier outside Forever's office the night he won, talking about chicken fights (and subsequently egg fights) with her and Foolish during castle building, the fear racing through him as he realized the code was surveying Leo's N.I.N.H.O room and breaking the glass, the feeling of guilt as he realized Leo was hurt because of him and Forever's petty arguments.
He thinks of Foolish, the man immediately agreeing to building the castle with him, the totem crying over a gargoyle while he scrambled to sooth him, the shark hybrid asking him if the blocks were right for the roof while in the middle of a rescue mission (his rescue mission), breaking him and felps out of that strange room, scaring the man while building, listening to the other taunt him as he jumped around the hide and seek map while Cellbit was seeker, laughing about being attacked by things while invisible (while following Jaiden on her super secret mission of course), drinking coffee with richas as their morning ritual, seeing him at the wedding.
Being called his son...
Then he steels his anger and resolve and pulls above the waves again.
There was more important things to do then. But in the back of his head part of him screamed that he'd had a family since he crashed onto this godforsaken island. Wasn't that enough? Wasn't it enough to finally be loved by a family who wanted you for you? Did they know him? Something in the way Bad, Foolish and Roier stared at him told him that they did. How two of them found out was an enigma in itself. Forever, Pac, Mike, Felps are always there when he needs something and ready to protect and defend him under the name of family. Richarlyson was always there to make him happy as his son, ready to work with him on a new enigma. Bagi looked for him all that time, she was here now reaching her hand out. She was promising to make up for time, in her journals she was sad about losing him.
His family... they were broken but bright. Bright as the sun. He couldn't bring himself to pull back into the orbit of the sun.
He had to do this alone, just as he always had been. No one could be burdened by this...and anyone who tried to stop what he was to do next would be in his way.
He takes another breath, deep and steady, he couldn't lose anything like this again. Even if it meant turning to skills he hadn't used in nearly a decade. Becoming someone he had sworn he would never become again.
He could do this. After all...hadn't he done worse?
