The Irregular at Hero Highschool

Summary:

Not all men are created equal.

This is a lesson that both Midoriya Izuku and Tatsuya Shiba had learned in the course of their lives.

Midoriya Izuku was considered worthless and useless by a society where being special is considered normal.

Tatsuya Shiba, despite wielding great power, was falsely judged as second-rate and subpar by a society that wasn't fully suited for him, only supported by a sister who loved him dearly and friends who cared for him.

Their paths will cross in an unlikely manner, as the Shiba siblings, who had died peacefully, gets transported into a world of quirks and superhumans.

And they are going to take the world by storm.

Chapter Text

Chapter 1: Wait, Magic?!

"Your training is progressing quite smoothly, Young Midoriya!"

The booming voice of All Might echoed throughout the trash-littered Dagobah Beach as he looked on to his apprentice, Izuku Midoriya. He had just cleared out an entire chunk of the garbage there, but since it had only been three months since they started training, it was clear that he still has a long way to go, as demonstrated by the literal mountains of trash still remaining.

That didn't deter the spirit of the green-haired boy, though. He only vowed to himself to work harder to fulfill his dream.

"You need to take a break, Young Midoriya." the No. 1 hero said sternly.

"Y-Yes, All Might..." the boy said, clearly exhausted.

He then gave him a bottle of water, in which he enthusiastically drank to refresh himself. He then looked on at the amount of work he still has to do, and groaned.

"There's still... so much..." he said in between deep breaths. All Might smiled.

"Of course, but the road to being a hero is not easy, Young Midoriya!" he replied. "However, I have no doubt in my mind that you can become one, and this is your first steps!"

"T-Thank you, All Might!" Izuku shouted.

If he was being honest, this all still doesn't feel real. Just three months ago, he was just a quirkless kid who was bullied and tormented by everyone else. Now, he was being taught by his idol, the Number One Hero, All Might, and will be receiving his quirk in the future! He pinches himself in the cheeks sometimes to make sure that he wasn't dreaming.

He's sure he wasn't, though. If he was, he should have woken up by now.

He was glad that this was the reality now though. After a decade of suffering and torment over being a quirkless kid, he now has the means to become the hero that he always wanted to be.

To save others with a smile, just like All Might.

"You're more than welcome, Young Midoriya!" the hero said. "You deserve the praise, and you truly deserve to be a hero!"

Midoriya was close to crying again, but before anything else happens, a searing pain came into his head, and he collapsed into the floor, writhing in agony.

"AAAAARRGGHHHH!!"

"Young Midoriya!" All Might shouted as he quickly approached the boy. "What's happening?!"

"I... don't know!" Izuku said, while clutching his head. "It just... happened!"

"Don't worry, Young Midoriya, I'll call for help!"

The boy had no idea what was going on, though. His mind was just suddenly being assaulted by information and... memories.

Death.

To the Shiba siblings, death was never something they worried about extensively. Their lives have always been fraught with danger, so to them, death is something they were well acquainted with, something that they'll just meet head-on when it finally came to take them.

As long as they managed to live a fulfilling life, they'll have no regrets dying, even if it was in the hands of another.

What they didn't expect was not only did they die together, they also died of old age, which considering their occupation and who they are, was practically unheard of.

"I seriously never thought I would die this way." Tatsuya Shiba, the older one of the siblings, said. "I thought I would die in battle of be assassinated or something."

"Don't say that, Onii-sama." Miyuki Shiba, his wife, pouted at him. Due to the nature of her magic, even if she was in her eighties, she looks like she's in her fifties. The same could be said for Tatsuya.

Their young appearance didn't prevent their body from aging, though, so even if they did look young, their bodies were still deteriorating with age.

"You're still calling me that..." he said, but he could feel his body weakening.

"No matter what happens to us, you'll always be my Onii-sama, even if we aren't really siblings anymore." she said, and her voice was also weakening.

"Haha..." Tatsuya laughed weakly. "You're right..."

Tatsuya could now sense his strength leaving him. He was truly dying, he was going to leave this world soon.

It was a small comfort that he and his wife are dying together.

At least I managed to make life better for everyone...

That was his last thoughts before he passed on from that world.

"I love you, Miyuki..."

"I love you, too, Onii-sama..."

"...oung Midoriya! Young Midoriya!"

"Ugh..."

Midoriya Izuku woke up with a headache. He found that he was still in the beach, and that his idol was worriedly looking over him. Considering that the sky still looked similar to what it looked like earlier,  he wasn't unconscious for a long time.

"What happened, All Might?"

He was surprised by how deep his voice was. He also felt that his body was more... fit than before. He also felt... something coursing throughout his body. The biggest difference, though, was his mind.

He had just received a lot of information... and memories. Memories of another life. Of another world.

Reincarnation? How? What happened?

"You fell unconscious mere moments after you collapsed from that headache, then I let you lay there so that I can call trusted individuals to take care of you, though it seems that you are alright. It's only been a few minutes since you were unconscious, Young Midoriya. " All Might explained. "How are you feeling?"

"Overwhelmed." the boy said, then he stood up. "I received... a lot of information earlier..."

"Information? What does that mean, Young Midoriya?" All Might asked.

"I'll explain later. I need to test some things for now." Izuku said as he walked to one of the big trash heaps that was littered around.

I currently don't have a CAD, so I can only use Flash Cast to cast my magic. Thankfully, we're around a pile of trash, so I can use Mist Dispersion safely. Here goes...

All Might was looking at his successor, utterly confused. He had made sure that Izuku had followed his training regiment to the letter, and he also made sure that his physical condition was accounted for when making that plan. He shouldn't have had to suffer any headaches from his training.

Is Young Midoriya manifesting a quirk? At this late of an age? While this wasn't the latest example of a late bloomer, this is exceptionally rare.

And why does it look like he knows what he's doing?

After a few seconds, All Might saw a bunch of characters appear and circle around the boy's wrist, as his hand was aimed for one of the broken refrigerators. Then...

WRRRR! VWOOM!

The refrigerator glowed, then it turned into steam, and simply... vanished. Into thin air.

He had made an entire object just disappear from the face of the Earth.

"Wha...?" All Might was flabbergasted. He had an idea that Izuku had somehow manifested a quirk this late, but... he had no idea that the quirk would be this powerful.

"It worked." he said simply. Izuku then saw his mentor approach him with wide-eyes.

"Is that... a quirk, Young Midoriya?" he asked. The boy simply shook his head.

"I'll explain everything." he answered while smiling slightly. "I don't want to keep things from my mentor. So, what do you want to ask?"

All Might really wanted to ask questions considering that Izuku had just denied something that was clearly supernatural as a quirk, but decided against it for now. He'll ask questions later, once those two have appeared.

"I do have questions I want to ask, but I'll ask them later." he said. "I'm going to wait for my friends to arrive first."

"I see. Then I'll wait for them as well." the boy said. "For now, I'll have to practice."

All Might raised his eyebrows at that, but said nothing. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he was going keep a close eye on him. The man also called on the two people he called on earlier and told them that the situation has changed.

He was stunned.

All Might was stunned speechless.

There was no other way to describe what he was feeling right now.

In the few minutes that he had seen Izuku practicing, as he called it, he had seen him do some ridiculous things.

First, he saw those same characters appear again, and he saw him running on water. He ran for a few meters before running back to the beach, not even exhausted.

R-Running on water? Wasn't his quirk disintegration or something like that?

Then, he leaped and jumped on the air itself, with those same characters and a circle appearing under him. He was also accelerating as he did so as well, and Yagi was reminded of his master, Nana Shimura, as he did so, and he just felt a little sad at the reminder of her.

The boy then threw one of the trash into the air, then, he slowed it down before it completely stopped and it dropped into the ground, but he then used that... power of his to make the object disappear.

He was pleased that in between those practice sessions, he was following the training regiment that he had him do. When he asked, he said:

"It's an effective way to train this body, so I'll follow it."

The way he says that... it's like he's not in his own body. Another question for later.

Afterwards, though, he did something truly insane.

He sliced through one of the trashed chairs in the area by using some sort of invisible blade in a way that one of the chair's legs would have a sharpened edge. After that, he stabbed his palm into that sharpened edge.

"Young Midoriya!"

"Don't worry about me, All Might. I'll be fine." the boy reassured his mentor.

And he was fine. In a split second, the wound in his hand healed, with no trace of it remaining. He did notice his successor wincing slightly as the injury healed, probably because of a side effect.

I really need some answers right now. Please hurry up, you two!

All Might's mental plea seems to work, as he saw two people walking towards his direction.

"Tsukauchi! Principal Nezu!" All Might called out to them both. Izuku also turned to their direction, and he regarded the principal with a curious gaze. "These are the friends I was talking about, Young Midoriya."

"Am I a dog? A bear? Or a mouse? What matters is that I'm the principal!" Nezu said to Izuku who was staring at him. "Greetings, I'm Principal Nezu of UA High."

"It's an honor to meet you, Principal Nezu. I'm Shi– no, I'm Midoriya Izuku." the greenette introduced himself. They then shook hands, or paws in Nezu's case.

Was he about to introduce himself with the different name?

"Young Midoriya." All Might turned to the boy. "We'll be going to UA."

"This is UA, huh? Impressive." Izuku remarked as they entered the prestigious school.

What happened to Young Midoriya? The boy I know would be more thrilled and stunned speechless upon seeing the school of his dreams.

All Might was understandably nervous about the sudden change in his successor. While he had judged that he hasn't changed into anything malicious, his attitude was so different from what he was used to that he was now experiencing dissonance.

"All Might?" Detective Tsukauchi said to his friend, concerned.

"Ah, I'm all right, Tsukauchi. I'm just concerned about Young Midoriya." the hero said.

"Has he done something wrong?"

It was at this point that All Might had shrunk down to his shriveled state. He judged that it was safe since he had entered the school grounds.

"No, he hasn't. It's just... he's acting differently from how he normally is, and it worries me." All Might, now Toshinori Yagi, said.

"You don't have to worry about it for long, All Might." the detective reassured him. "We'll be getting answers from him soon."

"I hope we do." he sighed.

"So, what do you want to ask, All Might?" Izuku said.

He was currently in Principal Nezu's office. The principal was sitting behind his desk, with Detective Tsukauchi sitting behind him. Toshinori and Izuku were sitting in front of each other in front of Nezu's desk.

"Before you say anything, these two know about One For All. " the man pointed at both Nezu and Tsukauchi.

"I'll get straight to the point." he started. "What happened to you earlier when you had that headache, Young Midoriya?"

"Ah, it's... complicated." the boy scratched his head sheepishly. Toshinori was internally relieved by this gesture, as he was reassured that Izuku Midoriya hasn't changed completely from who he was before.

"First, I need to provide some context." the boy said. "I assume everyone here is aware of the concept of reincarnation?"

That question caught everyone off-guard.

"When a person dies, they get reborn in another body, typically with their memories gone without a trace, correct?" Nezu said.

"Yes, that's what reincarnation is." Izuku nodded. "Now then, is anyone here also aware of the concept of the multiverse?"

This time, Nezu chuckled, while the two other men in the room looked incredibly shocked.

"Of course. The concept of multiple universes coexisting with one another has been confirmed to exist already." the principal answered.

"It has?!" Toshinori asked in surprise.

"Yes, only a few people in the government know about it. The HPSC has discovered someone with a multiversal traveling quirk, and the government has taken the individual in to protect and train him. The Prime Minister himself has warned the Commission to not take their power themselves, or else the entire organization will be forcefully disbanded." Nezu explained. "Enough about that, though. We're here for Midoriya-kun's explanation, correct?"

"I-Indeed. Continue then, Young Midoriya."

"When I had that headache earlier, I was bombarded with... memories. Memories of a past life."

"P-Past life?!" Yagi turned to Tsukauchi, and he simply nodded.

"He's telling the truth."

"Ah, so that's why you brought him here, All Might. He has a lie detection quirk." Izuku nodded. "Yes, I have a past life. A past life from another universe."

"He's telling the truth..." Tsukauchi said slowly, as if he himself couldn't believe that it was the truth, despite his quirk saying so.

"Who are you in your past life then, Midoriya-kun?" Nezu asked, ignoring the two others in the room who were still reeling from the shock.

"In my past life, I am Shiba Tatsuya, I am a magician, and an unofficial member of the Yotsuba Clan." he said. Tsukauchi simply nodded his head.

Truth.

"Magician?" Nezu continued his questioning. Toshinori and Tsukauchi didn't speak, simply letting Nezu do the interrogation.

"In that world, instead of quirks, magic developed and became a proper science. Magicians are, obviously, individuals that can wield magic. Most people are only normal in my previous world, though. The magicians were a minority, even in the time of my death." he explained.

"I see. When did magic first emerge in your previous world?"

"1999 was the first recorded instance of magic in that world."

"That's the same year the first person with a quirk was born in this world!" Toshinori exclaimed.

"Indeed, that's what I noticed as well. " Izuku nodded. "I have a theory about that, but I need to explain myself more first."

"Next question, then!" the principal cheerfully said. "How exactly does magic work in your previous world?"

"In simple terms, magic is the manipulation of Eidos." he said. "Eidos is the manifestation of phenomena and information in the world. Information and events are connected. When information is rewritten, so are events. Magicians uses psions, which are non-physical particles that record cognizance and thought, to rewrite Eidos, therefore rewriting real-world phenomena as well." [1]

"Fascinating!" Nezu clapped his paws in amusement. "Is there any categorizations when it comes to this magi–"

"Principal, please leave it for now." Toshinori said. "We are here to discuss Young Midoriya's situation. Your discussion about magic can come later."

"Oh, my apologies!" he said. "Well, then, what exactly are the role of magicians in your world?"

Izuku frowned, which might have meant that this was an unpleasant topic. The others were also curious, so they simply braced themselves.

"Initially, magicians were only treated as weapons." he said, much to the shock of everyone. "It didn't help that there was a world war that spanned for 20 years that showed just how effective magicians are in killing other people. Thankfully, all of it happened way before I was born in that life, but that didn't mean that I didn't see my fair share of conflict."

"What exactly is your story, Midoriya-kun? Or rather, what was your story when you were Shiba Tatsuya?" Nezu asked again. Izuku sighed.

"It's not a pleasant story, especially in the beginning, so please bear with me. I won't be telling you my whole story though. I'll just tell you my past life before highschool..."

[2]

It wasn't.

It was not a pleasant story.

While it wasn't the worst or the most depressing story Toshinori has ever heard of, it is still sad. To have a boy be robbed of his emotions like that just so he can be a proper magician...

"What exactly did you mean when you said that you were a "Strategic-class" magician?" Nezu asked about the detail that has interested him the most in the entire story.

"Ah, that." Izuku then sheepishly scratched his head again. "Well... you see, Strategic-class Magicians are magicians that wield spells capable of mass destruction. They are essentially a nation's trump card when it comes to warfare, and their presence is a major factor in the world's military balance."

"Mass destruction?" Toshinori asked, terrified of the implications of what Izuku just said.

"The spell that made me a Strategic-class magician was Material Burst." Izuku explained. "It essentially converts mass into energy by destroying atomic bonds."

"Wait, if you destroy atomic bonds that means...!" Tsukauchi exclaimed, and Izuku simply nodded.

"A large amount of energy will be discharged, which will turn it into a massive explosion. Material Burst replicates the destructive power of a nuclear bomb without the radioactive side-effects."

"I want to ask, why were you considered a fake magician?" Toshinori asked about the detail he was most concerned about. Izuku laughed bitterly at this.

"They aren't wrong, All Might. I am a fake magician." he said. "I guess I need to explain my power, then."

"I was a Born Specialized Magician, or a BS Magician for short. Unlike most magicians, BS magicians have an innate magic that they specialize at. Think of it like a magician's quirk." he explained. "I have three innate magic that I specialize at. First is Elemental Sight. It allows me to see Eidos at the highest possible level, which means that I can basically sense everything in the area. It can see through almost any disguise and it can also sense anyone hiding or concealing themselves. "

"The next one is Decomposition. It allows me to destroy anything up to the atomic level. I can also destroy spirits with it. That's the magic I use when I cast Material Burst." he continues.

"Ho? If you can destroy spirits with that power, does that mean...?" Nezu stared at Izuku with curiosity. Knowing what the principal meant, he nodded.

"Yes, it is possible that I can destroy quirks with Decomposition, though I'd rather this information be only confidential to the four of us for now."

Destroying anything, what a terrifying ability... Why was he considered a fake magician?

"The last one is called Regrowth." Izuku continued. "It's basically the opposite of Decomposition. It allows me to restore any damage to any living or nonliving thing as long as that damage happened within 24 hours."

"That's what you used to heal your palm!" Toshinori shouted as he finally realized what Izuku did earlier in the beach.

"Yes. It isn't actually healing though. Regrowth simple restores Eidos to its previous state." he said. "Unlike the other two innate magic that I have, Regrowth has a drawback."

"A drawback?" Nezu leaned forward, interested.

"When I use Regrowth on an injury, I have to read the Eidos and all the changes that occurred to it, including the pain that the target suffered. Considering that Regrowth is almost instantaneous, the pain that I feel when using it is condensed in that short period of time. For example, if an injury happened 30 seconds before I used Regrowth on it and it takes about 0.2 seconds for me to read the Eidos, that means that in that period of time, I experienced 150 times the amount of pain that person experienced." he explained.

"I see, such great power surely does come with a cost." Nezu remarked.

"Is that why you flinched earlier when you restored the wound, Young Midoriya?"

"Yes. While typically, restoring my own injuries wouldn't be painful, I was still getting used to my own body at the time. I also tested if I can control the activation of Regrowth, since its activation is usually automatic, so that's why I felt the condensed pain even though I shouldn't have."

"Does this also apply to nonliving things?" asked Nezu.

"No. Since nonliving things can't feel any pain, I won't feel any pain if I restore it either." Izuku clarified.

"Why are they calling you a fake magician then, if you have such powerful abilities?" Toshinori was truly confused at this moment, because he was unable to figure out why such a powerful individual was considered a "fake".

"Think back to when I told you what magic is." Izuku answered. "Magic is the manipulation of Eidos. What I'm doing is simply destroying or restoring Eidos, not manipulating it. In the eyes of any magician, I'm not a magician, since what I do isn't "magic". That's why I was considered a fake magician."

"Just because of that..." Toshinori balled his fists in anger.

"There's no point in being angry about it All Might, we're not at that world anymore. It's all in the past."

Toshinori was quiet, simply nodding his head, his anger never truly gone.

"Now then, last question for now." Nezu stared directly at Izuku. "How did you die?"

The tension in the room rose up as he asked this, and Toshinori looked at Nezu angrily.

"Principal!" Toshinori stood up, appalled. "You shouldn't ask such a sensitive question so callously!"

"There's no other way to ask about it, All Might." Nezu said. "How did Shiba Tatsuya die, Midoriya-kun?"

"Shiba Tatsuya died of old age alongside his wife, Shiba Miyuki." he said.

The tension practically dissipated as soon as they heard these words.

"That's... surprising." Tsukauchi couldn't help but comment this. According to the boy, he was a soldier in his past life, and in a world where conflict was extremely frequent, the fact that he died of old age was not at all what he expected.

"That's the reaction I had as well, to be honest." Izuku chuckled. "I couldn't believe that I was lucky enough to die of natural causes alongside my wife. It was surreal."

"Were magicians still treated as weapons when you died?" Tsukauchi asked.

"Fortunately, no. Due to an invention of mine and a bunch of my friends, we managed to change the role of magicians in the world. It was a nuclear reactor run by magic, which before its conception was never thought possible."

"I see. You made it so that magicians would also be necessary for everyday life, not just in war." Nezu nodded his head.

"Yes, because of that, magicians became more valued in society, and by the time of my death, they were treated with more respect and courtesy than before. They are still in the minority, though."

"Wait, you said that you invented it along with others, Young Midoriya?"

"Yes. I was actually an accomplished magic engineer in my past life. Magic was considered a technology, so magic engineers were an important part of the magical community."

"Ah, so they're similar to support groups here in this world." Nezu said. "Anyway, that's all for my questioning for now! I'll just have to ask about your previous world's magic later."

"Young Midoriya." Toshinori sighed. "I have one last question for you."

"If it's about One For All, I'll still accept it." Izuku smiled.

"Huh?" Toshinori was surprised.

"I may have received these memories and this power from my past life, but in the end, I am Midoriya Izuku, the crybaby quirkless fanboy that is truly honored to be your successor." the boy explained. "There's no way I wouldn't accept One For All, no matter how much power I gain."

Toshinori was close to tears as his successor continued to smile.

"Thank you, Young Midoriya..." he whispered.

"No, I need to thank you, All Might, for everything you did to me." the boy said as he bowed his head to his idol. He then turned to the principal.

"Now that we're here at UA, I want to ask for three favors from all of you." Izuku said.

"Go on, young man."

"First, I want temporary access to a facility that will allow me to create my CAD." he said.

"Ah yes, those Casting Assistant Devices that magicians use to cast magic." Nezu said. "Are you sure you can actually build something like that in this world, Midoriya-kun?"

"I don't think it's impossible, though it would take me a long time." he replied. "It'd likely take me a day at least."

"That can be arranged." Nezu  grinned. "In fact, I can give you a better offer. I assume that you will be applying for the Hero Course, correct?"

"Yes."

"When you get accepted to UA, you will also be automatically be accepted to the Support Course!"

"What?!" Toshinori cried out in shock.

"You were a magic engineer in your past life, yes?" Nezu said. "I would hate for that kind of talent to be wasted here, so I'm going to have to nurture it as best as I can."

"Thank you, Principal Nezu." Izuku bowed in gratitude to the furry principal.

"What about that second favor, then?" the principal inquired.

"I want you to find Shiba Miyuki in this world."

The three people in the room were stunned once more.

"You think she got reincarnated here alongside you?" Toshinori asked.

"It's a likely possibility." Izuku muttered, very deep in thought. "Considering that we died at the same time and same place, it's likely that we both got reincarnated here too."

"I do think it's possible as well." Nezu chimed in.

"I don't want to go into specific detail as to what her magic is for now, but it's something similar to freezing, so if you found someone like that, let me know as soon as possible."

"It would be easy to identify her if she reincarnated into someone who had a quirk that is wholly unrelated to Shiba Miyuki's magic." Tsukauchi expressed his concern. "However, it would be difficult to explain it as a random quirk evolution, or the appearance of a second quirk."

"Let's cross that bridge when we get there. For now, I want to focus on finding her."

"We'll begin the investigation as soon as we're able." Tsukauchi promised.

"Thank you. As for my third request..."

When he had regained his memories as Tatsuya Shiba, he had also gained some of his personality and, therefore, he had gained a new perspective on his past before his memories came in.

And he hated what happened to him.

The Tatsuya in him saw the Izuku of the past like a little brother, the way he looked at Miyuki in the past just after the Okinawa Invasion, and he despised the people that tormented him for years, including Bakugou.

However, he also knew that Bakugou wasn't completely to blame for everything that happened to the Izuku of the past.

Bakugou was simply the result of a toxic and deplorable environment that never let him face the consequences of his actions. That's why, despite hating him, he would make sure that he achieves his dream.

Izuku would simply make sure that he faces the consequences of his actions.

"I'd like to talk about Aldera Junior High."

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

Katsuki was incensed. He never expected the day to go like this at all.

"Bakugou Katsuki, you are under arrest for assault, illegal quirk usage, and attempted suicide incitement."

"What?!" his classmates shouted out in shock.

Katsuki had started his day normally enough. He said goodbye to his mother in an incredibly crude way, he went to school and proceeded to bully the extras who got in his way, though he was wondering where that quirkless Deku had gone, since he was noticeably absent.

Before lunch had begun though, a bunch of policemen entered his classroom, including a pro hero he didn't recognize, a shabby man wearing a scarf, and the boy he hated the most, Midoriya Izuku.

"Why the fuck are you arresting me? I didn't do anything wrong! I was simply putting that worthless Deku in his place!" he shouted. The other students didn't say anything, but they silently agreed with Katsuki.

What surprised them the most was the boy in question, who instead of flinching to what Katsuki said, simply glared at the blond.

"That is exactly the problem. We have collected the evidence that you have been bullying this boy with your quirk, and so, the HPSC has declared you a B-rank villain." the policeman, Detective Tsukauchi, said.

"Nonsense! Bakugou is not a villain! He's an aspiring hero!" the teacher came in his defense. "I'm sure that quirkless boy is simply putting you up with his nonsense."

"First, the teachers here, the principal, and this class are all arrested for aiding a villain." the detective said, causing the entire class to gasp. "Second... you have my permission, Midoriya."

Izuku sighed, then a bunch of glowing characters appeared in his head. Alternating waves of energy then appeared from the boy's hand, which caused the teacher to fall down and collapse, unconscious.

"Midoriya Izuku had just awakened his quirk last week. He is not quirkless anymore."

The rest of the class were shocked once again by this turn of events. The only person who had a different reaction was Katsuki, who became even more angrier.

"So that's it, huh, Deku?!" the boy angrily screamed. "Just because you got a quirk, you start looking down on me, huh?!"

He then charged at him, ready to blow his face up, but then something he didn't expect happened.

The green-haired boy snapped his fingers, and he felt his ability to create his explosions disappear.

Huh? What the hell happened?

"I erased the sweat currently present in your body." Izuku explained. "It would take you a while before you can create your explosions again."

Katsuki was then bound by the shabby pro hero and pinned to the ground.

"Let me handle this from here, Problem Child." the hero said.

"Should you really be calling me that? I'm not even in your class yet, Mr. Aizawa."

"I'm sure the principal will gladly put you in my class."

"Yes, I'm sure he would."

Izuku then stood up, glared at his former class one last time, and he left, feeling satisfied that justice had been served.

"I'm thankful for this opportunity, Principal Nezu." Izuku bowed at the UA principal as they walked towards the Support Department.

"You're welcome, Midoriya-kun. It took me a week before I managed to grant you access to this facility, but I managed to do it." Nezu said.

"I'm truly thankful for that." Izuku nodded. "I'm also thankful for your help in dealing with Aldera."

"It's quite alright, Midoriya-kun. As the principal of one of the most prestigious schools in the country, a school that fosters such incompetence and malice is something I abhor. " Nezu smiled. "Besides, I'm grateful to you because I was able to use my favorite wrecking ball again. It was a healing experience."

This statement made Izuku a bit wary of the principal.

I guess I can't blame him, considering what happened to him in the past.

It didn't take long for the two to enter the Support Lab, and it was an impressive sight, to say the least. It was a sight that reminded him of his workplace in his previous life, Four Leaves Technology. Busy workers doing their respective jobs tirelessly, machinery and metal parts scattered everywhere. Eventually someone greeted the two of them.

"Good day, Principal Nezu. What brings you here?" Power Loader, the pro hero adviser of the Support Department, greeted them.

"Good day, Maijima-kun! I am here for the matter that I brought to your attention last week." Nezu then looked at Izuku, and the adviser understood everything.

"Ah yes. You are Midoriya-kun, I presume?" the boy nodded.

"Can you please hand over the blueprints and schematics of this project of yours?" Power Loader said.

Izuku obliged, and he uploaded the file containing all the details of his CAD to one of the computers for the pro hero to analyze. The file was then displayed to a larger screen in view of everyone. Curious about this project this supposed outsider has made, the people temporarily paused their work to look at the file with Power Loader. Needless to say, they were all shocked and impressed.

"Damn, this is impressive!"

"It's so detailed."

"How is this guy only a middle schooler?"

"What exactly is this... support item?" Power Loader asked Izuku.

"It's called a CAD, or a Casting Assistant Device. This item allows me to increase the speed of the activation of my quirk. It also allows me to activate the more... complicated parts of my quirk." Izuku explained.

"What is your quirk?" One of the support course students asked.

"His quirk is called "Information Manipulation!"" Nezu revealed. "In simple terms, his quirk allows him to temporarily rewrite, destroy, or restore information in the world itself, which then allows him to manipulate phenomena however he likes. He uses these particles called psions, which are the manifestation of thoughts, to do this, and he constructs these things called sequences to properly manipulate phenomena."

"That sounds way too powerful, what the hell?" one of the other support course students said.

"I do have a limited of psions that I can use to manipulate phenomena, so it's not like I'm all-powerful."

"You're trying for the Hero Course, then?" Power Loader said.

"Yes, though the principal has also applied me for the Support Course."

"Ah, we'll be happy to have you, then!" another support course student said.

"I'll be looking forward to working with you, Midoriya Izuku." the pro hero teacher offered his hand for a handshake.

"Likewise." Izuku accepted the handshake. "Anyway, do I have your permission to have access to the Support Lab to create this?"

"Of course, you have permission."

"Thank you."

"So what am I doing here?"

It's been more than a week since Bakugou's arrest, and a day since Izuku finished creating his CAD, or rather pair of CADs.

He had made them in the shape of his former CAD, "Trident". They were silver in color and were shaped like a pistol. He currently has them tucked safely in a custom-made holster.

Right now, he was walking towards the police station.

"Bakugou Katsuki has requested to talk to you." Principal Nezu said. Izuku was currently being accompanied by him.

"I see." Izuku sighed. "What does he want to talk about?"

"He said that he has a few words to say to you before you part ways for now." Nezu replied.

"He's going to be put in a rehabilitation center for the rest of the year before he steps foot in UA, correct?" Izuku asked.

"Yes. He really needs it, considering how distorted his view of what a hero is."

"I agree."

It didn't take long for them to reach their destination. Once they did, they saw Katsuki wearing quirk-suppressant cuffs. He had a thoughtful and a pensive expression on his face, which was rarely seen on the boy's face from his memories.

"Midoriya."

Yes, this is going to turn out differently than I previously assumed.

"What do you want to talk about, Bakugou?"

"I'm getting straight to the point, because I don't wanna waste any more time. I have been... thinking." The blond sounded subdued.  "A lot of shit has happened between us, Midoriya. I've done a lot of villainous stuff to you, even if I was unaware that I was being a villain. I though putting a quirkless, worthless nobody like you was normal."

"Nobody stopped you." Izuku replied. "No one discouraged your actions. It was probably the reason why you became so... arrogant."

"It didn't matter. I should have known better." Katsuki shook his head. "I want to become the number one hero, and yet I don't even know how to act like one. Pathetic, isn't it?"

"I never thought you would realize it so quickly."

"I'm not that much of a fucking idiot, Midoriya." the boy growled a little before sighing. "That's what you were aiming for with this, weren't you? You want me to face the consequences of my actions?"

Izuku had to admit, he was surprised that Katsuki saw through him.

"Are you going to be mad at me?"

"No. There's no reason to." Katsuki said. "I... just want to say that I'm not going to apologize."

Izuku's eyes narrowed. He knew that Katsuki was going somewhere with this.

"An apology wouldn't be enough, not after all the shit I put you through." Katsuki continued. "That's why, instead, I'm going to simply treat like I should have been from the beginning. An equal, and a rival."

I see, so this is how Bakugou is going to handle this.

"Both of us aren't going to be friends anymore. We're simply going to be two people chasing after the same goal. To become the number one hero." he grinned. "I'm not going to let the fact that I was once a villain get to me. I will become the greatest hero, damn it, and I'll beat you, Midoriya!"

Izuku smiled at Katsuki.

"I'm looking forward to it."

"Today is the day, Young Midoriya!"

Izuku was smiling. It's been 10 months since he had met All Might, and now, he was going to inherit his quirk, a week before the entrance exam begins. Despite him regaining the memories of Shiba Tatsuya, making him not as excited as he should have been, he was still thrilled to get One For All. He was now taking his first step to become a great hero!

"How do you transfer One For All, anyway?" Izuku asked.

"Through DNA, my dear successor!" All Might explained. "So, I'd like you to undergo a blood transfusion with me!"

"Ah, I see. So where is the procedure happening?"

"UA. It would be far too dangerous to do it anywhere else! Now then, off we go!"

Originally, All Might was going to suggest having Izuku eat his hair but considering that Izuku finished his training plan much quicker than usual, transferring One For All wouldn't need to be a rushed affair.  Blood transfusion will also ensure that One For All would come instantly, and therefore, they would be able to train him on how to use it, and they would also quickly be able to see its effects on his magic, if there are any.

And so, Izuku once again returned to UA to get his long-awaited quirk.

Izuku woke up in a place. It was a misty distorted world, and the only contents of that world would be a massive platform of earth, that he was currently standing on, along with eight chairs placed there, being occupied by eight people, though one of them were covered in golden flames.

What surprised Izuku the most was his appearance in that world. He didn't appear like Izuku Midoriya in this world. No, he looked like Shiba Tatsuya.

And now, he was being stared at by all of the past users of One For All. [3]

"It's nice to meet you. Ninth. My name is Yoichi Shigaraki, the first user of One For All."

When Shiba Miyuki woke up once more, she was in an unfamiliar room. It was a large bedroom, fit for a rich girl. During her time as the head of the Yotsuba clan, this was the kind of room that she had always slept in.

This didn't stop her from panicking, though, because as far as she was concerned, she should be dead.

What happened? Didn't I die besides Onii-sama? Where am I?

Thankfully, it didn't take long for her to calm down, and take a stock of her situation.

I shouldn't be alive. I know I shouldn't be. The only explanation for this would be... something like reincarnation.

She didn't know what to feel about such a concept being real, but for now, one thing matters to her.

I need to find Onii-sama!

Notes:

I hope that you all enjoyed this first chapter!

This may feel rushed to some, so I apologize, but I wanted to cover all of the stuff that happens pre-Entrance Exam in one chapter, so yeah.

Notes in the chapter:

[1] Man, this is one of the things I really dislike about Mahouka, the magic system is ridiculously hard to explain. This is the simplest way I can explain it.
[2] I'm not going to bore you with a Tatsuya backstory, since I'm pretty sure most of the people that are going to read this have read or watched both series, so yeah.
[3] The Second and Third users aren't ignoring Izuku, or I guess Tatsuya, because unlike canon Izuku, this Izuku is more than willing to get his hands dirty.

Chapter 2: A Magician's First Steps To Be A Hero

Summary:

Izuku takes the entrance exam, decimates the robots, saves people, leaves, and refuses to elaborate, well, mostly.

Ah, and there's first day of school, too.

Chapter 2: A Magician's First Steps To Be A Hero

"I honestly didn't expect singularity to hit this quickly." The first user, Yoichi, remarked.

"Yeah, we thought we were going to wait at least a few months to meet you!" one of the other users, a bald man, chimed in.

Singularity? Is it related to the Quirk Singularity Theory?

Izuku wanted to ask this question, but considering that he was paralyzed from the neck down and his mouth is sealed, he couldn't do so.

"Sorry, Ninth. Despite you having reached singularity sooner than expected, you wouldn't be able to speak for now." Yoichi smiled.

"One For All gets stronger the more its passed on." another previous user, a black-haired man wearing a blue coat, said. "With that, we, the vestiges of the previous users of the quirk, will also get stronger as well. Not only will we be able to converse with current users of the quirk, but we will also be able to pass on our own quirks to you."

I'll be able to use their own quirks?! Will my body be able to handle that?

"I'm surprised by you two." Yoichi remarked while addressing the two people beside him, who was wearing the same uniform. "You two aren't ignoring him."

"This guy's not naive. He has what it takes to get his hands dirty for the sake of others." one of them, a man who looked strikingly similar to Katsuki, but older and he has scars on his face, said.

"Yeah. We can respect someone like that, so we're definitely not ignoring him." the other one, a man with his hair tied up, added.

"Well, good for you, Ninth! You're probably the only one out of all of us that these two liked from the beginning!" the bald man cheerfully said.

"Well then, everyone, why don't we introduce ourselves to him, then?" Yoichi said to everyone.

And they did just that. They introduced themselves to him, and since Izuku was still paralyzed, all he could do was nod in response to their introduction.

"Now that we have formally introduced ourselves, we want to talk to you about your magic." Yoichi said seriously.

"It's probably one of the reasons why One For All reached singularity so quickly. It absorbed the psions in your body and amplified the quirk. In exchange, the quirk amplified your magic."

"At first, I was worried that the abundance of psions in your body will make One For All much stronger than intended, and affect your body negatively, but..."

"One For All assimilated perfectly inside your body, specifically, your brain."

That means...!

"Yes. The reason why you're not good at normal magic is because your Magic Calculation Area is dominated by Regrowth and Decomposition, yes?" Yoichi said. "Well, One For All had essentially enhanced your Magic Calculation Area to the point where you can use normal magic with the same level as any average magician, or perhaps an above-average magician."

Izuku didn't know what to think. On one hand, he had long accepted the fact that he wouldn't be able to use any normal magic at all. On the other hand, he was slightly thrilled by the fact that he has now access to normal spells, and especially the spells that he created on his own. Even though he didn't show it, he was slightly vexed when he couldn't use many of the spells that he created.

"It would be better if you trained with your magic just as much as you train with One For All within the week." Nana Shimura, the seventh user, said. "It seems that both Decomposition and Regrowth weren't enhanced, though."

"They're already powerful enough as they are, so I guess that's for the better."

"That's all that we're able to observe for now. We'll see you later, Midoriya Izuku."

"It's the day of the exam, Young Midoriya!" All Might shouted. "Good work!"

"Yeah, I'm going to become a hero today." Izuku said with a smile.

"Now, remember this, Young Midoriya. Do NOT use your Mist Dispersion unless absolutely necessary." the hero said. "It would be terrible if people knew that you have the ability to simply annihilate matter so easily. It's best if you only use it for truly dire situations."

"Understood." Izuku answered. "I was planning on simply using normal magic in the Entrance Exams anyway."

"I see, then I wish you luck, Young Midoriya!"

"When can I contact you after the Entrance Exam?" Izuku asked.

"Due to some obligations, I wouldn't be able to contact you for at least a week after the Entrance Exams, so I apologize in advance for that!" the hero informed him. Izuku nodded.

"Has Nezu contacted you about Miyuki yet?"

"Unfortunately, Nezu has not found her yet. He did say that if she did reincarnate, she's probably hiding her magic for now."

I see. Miyuki probably doesn't want to cast suspicion on herself for her magic. She's probably trying to find me first.

"Then I'll be waiting. " The boy said. "Thank you for everything, Toshinori-sensei."

"You're welcome, Young Midoriya! Now go, and become the hero you always wanted to be!"

"I will, All Might."

"He certainly mellowed out." Izuku muttered as he stared at the quiet Katsuki. He still had a grumpy look on his face, but he was quiet, and was not bothering everybody. He decided to ignore him for now and continue walking towards the exam site. He had almost tripped on a loose stone on the pathway near the school's entrance, but his sharp instincts allowed him to dodge it.

"That was close!" A girl's voice called out from behind him. "You almost tripped there."

It was a brown-haired girl with rosy cheeks. She was smiling pleasantly at Izuku, so Izuku returned a slight smile, only for him to receive chills on his spine.

Miyuki's reincarnated here too, I knew it.

"You applying for the Hero Course as well?" the girl asked.

"Yeah, you too?"

"Mm!" she nodded enthusiastically. "What's your name?"

"Midoriya Izuku."

"Uraraka Ochako! Nice to meet you, and good luck to your exams!"

"Good luck to you too." Izuku said before the two parted ways.

"It's time for the practical exam, I guess." Izuku muttered as he walked to the testing location. "Since I got here quicker than most of the participants, I guess I'll check on my CADs first..."

With that, he pulled out his two CADs and began inspecting them. While he had run maintenance on them multiple times before the exams began, it couldn't hurt for him to inspect his equipment for any possible last-minute malfunctions. He was halfway through his inspections when a voice called out to him.

"Hey, you!" the voice shouted. "Weapons are not allowed in the testing site!"

It was a blue-haired boy with glasses. Izuku noticed that there were exhausts on his calves. Izuku sighed, and stared at the other boy, who was looking at him angrily.

"These aren't weapons. These are support items that help me control my quirk." Izuku explained. "My quirk is incredibly volatile, so I had these made so that I can better control my quirk. It's just a coincidence that these are shaped like pistols."

"Ah! My apologies, then!" The blue-haired participant bowed in apology, but Izuku simply waved it off, and returned to inspecting his CADs. Fortunately, Izuku managed to finish inspecting his CADs before the practical exam starts. He then heard Present Mic's voice speak in the speakers.

"LET'S START, EXAMINEES!" The loud pro hero announced. Immediately, Izuku activated about 7% of One For All, the maximum amount he can use at this point.

"Accel!" he was bathed in a bright blue light, and he practically shot towards the nearest 1-pointer robot and destroyed it with ease.

"THAT EXAMINEE HAD THE RIGHT IDEA! THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL LIFE! GO!" Present Mic said. The participants then hurriedly jumped into action and started destroying the robots.

However, Izuku was already way ahead of them, and were now about to demolish a pair of 3-pointers.

"Resonance!" he pointed his two CADs at the two robots, and immediately, the robots began vibrating violently, then got destroyed. He had used Oscillation-type magic, which was his preferred category of Systematic-type magic. He saw three 2-pointers approaching him, so after dodging out of the way, he cast another spell.

"Oscillation Mine!" the ground beneath the robots collapsed, causing them to get trapped. He then destroyed them using another Resonance spell and proceeded to run around the testing site, destroying all the robots that he came across and saving participants that are in danger.

After a few minutes of running and destroying robots, he spotted a 3-pointer trying to attack a person from behind, so he charged at it, then he charged One For All into his entire body.

"TOKYO SMASH!" the boy punched the 3-pointer right in the chest, causing it to explode. The boy he saved was shocked by the amount of power he had.

"What the...?"

"Are you alright?" Izuku checked on the boy he saved, and he just nodded dumbly.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." the boy said.

"It doesn't seem that you're looking too good there." Izuku noticed the heavy bags under the boy's eyes, indicative of a lack of sleep.

"Unfortunately." the boy replied. "My quirk isn't suited for combat like this, so I haven't received many points at all."

"There's a switch located just behind the robots that you can use to turn them off." Izuku shared his observations with the boy. His eyes widened at what he said. "Also, you should probably start saving people. "

"Saving people?" the boy raised his eyebrows.

"This is a Hero Course exam." Izuku simply stated. "There's no way they're just judging us based on combat ability. Start rescuing some people once you see them. You may pass that way."

Before the boy could say any more, another robot, a 2-pointer, tried to attack them, but Izuku was fast, and he managed to take the robot down with another spell.

"Halt!" he used a Convergence-type magic this time, and fixed the robot's position to the ground, preventing it from moving. He then turned to the boy once again. "Take the point."

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"I have about 40 points right now, and there's still approximately 6 minutes left. I'll be fine." he said. "What's your name, by the way?"

"Hitoshi Shinsou." the violet-haired boy used the opportunity to gain a point by turning off the robot.

"Midoriya Izuku. See you at the hero course."

The green-haired boy charged One For All again, used Accel, and took off to destroy some more robots.

"We have a good crop this year." one of the teachers remarked from the monitoring room as they observed the students.

"They're all really impressive, especially that kid with the pistols." another teacher pointed at Izuku, who was effortlessly tearing down the robots that came his way while unhesitatingly saving the other examinees from various dangers, which resulted in him accumulating a lot of points.

"What is his quirk, anyway?" one of the other teachers, which was actually the pro hero Eraserhead, asked Nezu. Nezu then proceeded to explain what his quirk is and that he had just gotten it 7 months before the exam.

Needless to say, the faculty was shocked at how effortless his use of his quirk is, even if he had only gotten it recently.

"So what are those support items for?"

"It amplifies the activation speed of his quirk, and it allows him to use his quirk in more complicated ways." Nezu answered. "Though he does say that he uses those to control his quirk, probably as a way to confuse and disorient his future enemies and competitors with false information."

Shota was impressed by that fact, knowing that the kid had the right instincts to be a hero. What made him more impressed was his fighting ability.

When a few robots came to attack him, he skillfully sidestepped to avoid the robot's strike, kicking the robot on the side and sending it flying towards another robot. He then jumped and flipped onto another robot coming from behind him and turned it off using the switch, grabbed it and used it to block another robot's attack, using Resonance to destroy that robot. When he sensed the last robot incoming from behind him again, he parried the robot's attack without even turning around, and used Air Bullet on the robot, causing its chest to be destroyed.

He fights like a skilled martial artist. I didn't get a glimpse of it when we met back then, but now that it's on full display, it's almost terrifying how good he is. It's like he's a battle-hardened veteran. He probably trained his combat ability because he was considered quirkless in the past.

A master in martial arts, armed with an extremely powerful quirk. This problem child's going to be a monster in the future, if he isn't already one.

He continued to observe him, and when he saw him coldly tear off a robot's head from its body, before using One For All and Accel to throw the robot's severed head towards another robot and destroy that as well, much to the shock and horror of two nearby participant who he'd just saved, he sighed heavily.

Never mind, problem child's already a monster.

"Are you alright, you two?"

Ashido Mina and Kirishima Eijiro had just witnessed something terrifying.

A few moments ago, they were simply just demolishing a bunch of robots to gain the points needed to pass, but then, out of nowhere, a 2-pointer struck Eijiro, and knocked him down on the ground. Before Mina can come in and help her friend, they saw a blur attack the robot.

The blur turned out to be Midoriya Izuku, who had just come in to save them.

However, that was not the only thing he did.

He also ripped off the robot's head from its body, and while using his power, threw the robot's head at another robot, destroying it in the process.

He did all this with a cold expression on his face. The two's eyes widened in horror, then they glanced at each other, the meaning behind their gazes were clear.

"Do not piss this guy off, EVER!" the two thought.

"Sorry about stealing your kills like that." Izuku turned to the two. "I just saw you guys in danger and moved in to help."

The two just nodded silently while dumbfounded. While Eijiro would have normally called him manly for such a behavior, he was too scared of Izuku right now to say anything. That's why all they did for now was run.

"Yeah, understandable. Ninth did rip that robot's head off so nonchalantly." the fourth user, Hikage Shinomori, said.

"From viewing Shiba Tatsuya's memories, I'd say this is quite normal." Yoichi remarked. "He was a soldier capable of mass-destruction, after all. I do think that ripping the head off that robot was too much even for him."

"I hope this ruthless attitude of his doesn't come out too often, considering that he is going to become a hero." Nana expressed her concerns.

"Are you talking about the No-Head Dragon Incident?" En asked her, and she nodded.

"I mean, they did hurt his sister." Daigoro chimed in. "That's like, a suicide maneuver against a guy with a disturbing amount of sister complex."

"Still, he erased them from existence one by one!" Nana said. "I want to praise Toshinori for banning Ninth to use Mist Dispersion."

"Let's just hope he obeys..." Hikage said cryptically.

"IS THAT THE ZERO-POINTER?!" shouted Mina, pointing at the massive robot that was about to close up on them. The zero-pointer had just left a trail of destruction on its wake, with rubble and debris strewn about everywhere.

"Where does UA get the funding for these things?" a girl, whose voice Izuku recognized as the girl he conversed earlier, Uraraka Ochaco, said.

Izuku then used Elemental Sight to see if there were people trapped under the rubble, and there was. He then also sensed rubble that was about to fall on Ochaco, so he instinctively used One For All to get her out of the way.

"You two, run!" Izuku shouted at the pair, and they obliged, running as far away as possible. The boy then turned to Ochaco.

"Can your quirk help remove those people from the rubble?" he pointed at said participants. The girl nodded.

"Yes, I can, what about you?" she asked. Izuku didn't say anything, and simply pointed his CAD at the zero-pointer.

Sorry, All Might, but I have to save these guys.

He did use Elemental Sight again to see if there was anyone watching, and fortunately, only Ochaco and the pair that ran away earlier were watching.

"Uraraka-san, please don't tell anyone about what I'm about to do." he said to the girl, while making his voice loud enough that both Mina and Eijiro could hear him as well.

"Uhh, okay? What are you-?" Before she could say anything else, Izuku casted his signature spell.

"Mist Dispersion!"

WRRRR! VWOOM!

The three participants watching were incredibly astonished. The massive, intimidating zero-pointer just... disappeared. It was practically erased from existence with no trace of it left.

Needless to say, all three witnesses thought of the same thing.

What the FUCK?! Yeah, never mess with this guy.

The teachers couldn't speak. Only Nezu and Toshinori were unfazed by what they just saw.

"Uhh, did that student just... erase the zero-pointer from existence?" Nemuri Kayama, the pro hero Midnight, said.

"He didn't even look tired from that..." Ken Ishiyama, the pro hero Cementoss, added.

That problem child's ridiculous.

Shota Aizawa sighed, knowing that the principal will definitely put this boy in his class.

Toshinori sighed internally, knowing that he couldn't be mad about what his successor just did. He made sure that the zero-pointer would not harm anyone else and destroyed it in a way that it wouldn't cause any collateral damage. From what he can tell, he also used his Elemental Sight to find possible witnesses in the field.

"He probably figured out about the rescue points." Midnight remarked. "He encouraged his fellow examinees to save other people, like Shinsou Hitoshi-kun. He also left the people under the rubble to Ochaco Uraraka-san, probably to let her gain some rescue points."

"The little listener's smart and strong, huh? Damn, he's almost unfair." Yamada Hizashi, pro hero Present Mic, commented. "Well, we all know who's going to be the top scorer in the Entrance Exam."

The other teachers simply nodded along with him.

"I AM HERE! AS A PROJECTION!" All Might appeared on the screen, as Izuku opened the letter to see the results of his entrance exam.

While Izuku was confident that he had passed, and that All Might wouldn't be contacting him for that entire week, it didn't stop him from feeling uneasy. That was why he almost immediately opened the acceptance letter sent by UA after he had received it.

"Now then, Young Midoriya, I know that you don't want to waste any time, and that you are busy with your own matters as well, so I'll be quick!" All Might continued. "In the written portion, you managed to get the highest score out of all of the participants, including the recommended students! This would have been enough to allow you in UA's prestigious General Education course, but of course, that's not what you're aiming for! As for the practical, you scored a total of 80 villain points, which was just second to my own score of 85 villain points during my own entrance exam! However, that's not the only way to gain points!"

The projection then changed to images of Izuku helping other participants, as well as him encouraging them on helping others.

"How could a hero course reject someone dedicated to saving other people? Rescue points are given to those who save or help others during the exam! You showed the true essence of a hero, Young Midoriya, so you were given a total of 70 rescue points! You have placed first place in the practical exams as well, which means you have been officially accepted into UA's Hero Course, and as Principal Nezu stated, the Support Course as well." All Might said. "Young man, this is your hero academia."

Izuku couldn't help but tear up. This is it. He had finally taken the first step to becoming a great hero. To becoming someone like All Might.

"I'll be looking forward to teaching you at UA, Young Midoriya." the pro hero concluded with a cheeky smile, before the projection ended.

I suspected as much. All Might wouldn't have been the one welcoming students at UA if he wasn't a member of the staff in the first place.

Izuku wasn't surprised at all by this revelation. Instead, he was concerned.

If the media gets ahold of this information, they'll swarm towards the school like moths to a flame. A villain can also target UA to get to All Might.

Izuku decided to express these concerns to Nezu once the school properly begins. For now, he'll go back to training.

"Hm, they probably wanted to accommodate those who have quirks that change their size..." Izuku muttered as he stared at the entrance of Class 1-A. He then smiled in nostalgia.

This all reminds me of First High... It's been a long time...

The boy then entered the room, only to be greeted by the blue-haired boy that confronted him in the Entrance exam, admonishing Katsuki.

"Have you no respect for the upperclassmen who came before us?!"

Before Katsuki can say anymore, Izuku spoke up.

"Give it up. Bakugou is not the kind of person who would do what he's told to do." he said.

"Ah! It's you!" the boy then approached Izuku and bowed. "My name is Iida Tenya! My apologies for the way I acted towards you in the Entrance Exams!"

"It's fine. You meant nothing by it." the green haired boy said. "My name is Midoriya Izuku."

"It's a pleasure to meet you! I also wanted to congratulate you for coming in first in the Entrance Exams. You managed to prove yourself the superior candidate than me by deducing the truth about the exam!"

"The rescue points? It's a prerequisite for every hero to save others. Even if I hadn't deduced the rescue points, I would have still done the same thing I did anyway. If you just focus on defeating villains, then you're not a hero at all." Izuku said while slightly glancing at Katsuki, who growled in response.

"I agree completely!" Tenya said.

"Oh! Midoriya-kun!" a voice called out, which turned out to be Ochaco. "It's nice to see you again."

"Yes, it's nice to see you again as well. I'm glad you managed to pass the exam."

"It's because of your advice to save the people trapped under the rubble that I managed to get enough points to pass! Thank you!"

"Oh, I want to thank you, too." A purple-haired boy, Hitoshi Shinsou, said to Izuku.

"You're one of the people I rescued. You're welcome."

"I'm also thanking you for your advice on saving people. It managed to land me in the Hero Course."

"Think nothing of it, I just like helping other people." Izuku smiled warmly, causing Shinsou to bow his head at his kindness.

Meanwhile, both Eijiro and Mina, who was still a little scared of Izuku, stared at them.

"How is she so calm around that guy?" Eijiro whispered to Mina.

"Eh? He's probably a nice person, but what he did to that zero-pointer is insane! I mean, he freaking erased it from existence!" Mina replied.

Even though they were both whispering, a girl with jacks hanging from her ears managed to overhear their conversation due to her enhanced hearing, and was horrified by what she heard the two say.

He erased the zero-pointer from existence? What kind of quirk does Midoriya have for him to do such a thing?

"I'm glad to help. Oh, and someone's at the door already." Izuku said then looked at the yellow sleeping bag crawling through the floor. What came out of it was Shota Aizawa, the pro hero Eraserhead.

"You have good instincts, problem child." the teacher said. "I am the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A."

The class was surprised that the clearly sleep-deprived man in front of them was their homeroom teacher.

"Put on your gym uniforms, we're going to have a quirk assessment test." Shota said, surprising everyone.

"But what about orientation?" Ochaco asked.

"A waste of time." Shota dismissed her concerns. "It would be better if I got a measure of your abilities early. Be quick."

The class followed his instructions, and they went towards the testing area.

"Ten minutes. You're all late. Only Midoriya managed to get here within a minute." Eraserhead said, which caused everyone to wince. "Today, I'm going to make you do all those physical tests you did during elementary and middle school, but this time, you're all using your quirk. "

He then tossed a ball at Izuku, which Izuku caught easily.

"You got first place in the entrance exam. What's your record during middle school?" their homeroom teacher asked.

"About 45 meters, Aizawa-sensei." the boy replied.

"Okay, now throw the ball using your quirk this time. Give it your all. " he said. Izuku nodded and proceeded to charge up his arm with 100% of One For All.

This is risky, but I have Regrowth. If one of my classmates turn out to be Miyuki's reincarnation, then this will definitely allow me to send them the message that I'm here as well.

"Don't worry about me, Aizawa-sensei. I'll be fine." Izuku preemptively said to his teacher. "Also, make sure you all brace yourselves."

"Accel!" Izuku casted a spell at the ball, then threw it with his 100% OFA-enhanced arm. The ball was launched violently in the air, causing a shockwave to hit everyone. When Shota showed them the results, they were flabbergasted.

"70,000 meters?!" shouted almost everyone.

"Holy shit!" Eijiro exclaimed.

"That's ridiculous!" a boy with round-shaped elbowas said.

"Look at his arm!" one of them pointed out, and the arm was undoubtedly broken.

"As I said, don't worry about it." Izuku reassured everyone, and just as he had said that, the arm was healed in an instant.

"What the hell? What is your quirk, man?" one of the boys in class, a boy with blond hair with a streak of what looked like lightning running through it.

"I'll explain later." Izuku said.

The rest of the class started gushing about being able to use their quirks in a test like this, with Mina even remarking that this would be fun. This caused Shota to grin.

"Fun, huh? You think being a hero is fun? Well, then, if you came in last during the quirk assessment test, you'll be expelled."

This caused the class to cry out in outrage, with Ochaco saying that it was unfair. Before their homeroom teacher can retort, Izuku spoke up first.

"The world isn't fair. Villains aren't going to wait until you're stronger before they do their evil deeds so that you can beat them, natural disasters would hit when you least expect them to, and death isn't going to wait until your life is free from regrets before it takes you. If you constantly lament about the unfairness of the world, you wouldn't get anywhere."

The class was silent at this speech, while Shota began to like the boy even more.

"He's right. It's our job as heroes to battle that unfairness to save everyone." the teacher said. "So work hard, and go beyond, plus ultra."

"Wait! I have a question to you, Midoriya-kun." Tenya spoke to Izuku. "Didn't you say that you need those... support items to use your quirk properly, since you can't control it?"

"Ah, you mean these?" Izuku pulled out one of his CADs from a custom holster that the students just spotted and showed it to the class. "Sorry, but that was a lie to disorient my competitors and future enemies. I can control my quirk just fine without these. If my quirk is like mathematics, then these are simply calculators. Sure, I can use my quirk without them, but it's easier and faster to use with these."

"Take note from Midoriya's attitude." Shota spoke. "It's best if you mislead villains by hiding or lying about an aspect of your quirk and feigning a weakness. This will be useful to you in disorienting and confusing them when you get into a fight. Of course, it's best if you're completely honest about your quirk to fellow heroes. Now that that's all over with, it's time for the quirk assessment exam to begin."

The class nodded. Meanwhile, one girl from the class were shocked by this turn of events.

Yaoyorozu Momo, the reincarnation of Shiba Miyuki, felt like an electrical current has just passed through her.

What he used earlier was clearly magic! The way his arm healed, there is no mistaking it. That's definitely Regrowth. Those support items also looked like Trident!

Midoriya Izuku, are you... Onii-sama?

"None of you are going to be expelled." Shota said, much to the shock of the class. "It was simply rational deception so that all of you will try your hardest. You all managed to meet my expectations, congratulations to all of you."

Izuku had figured out that the teacher wasn't going to expel them if they got a low score. This was a test that is skewed in favor of the more physical quirks, so people like Shinsou and an invisible girl in their class are at an inherent disadvantage. The teacher was simply judging on how serious they are on becoming a hero by taking a test like this, even if they were outmatched by everyone else.

He had looked up at the scores of each student in class, and Izuku was in first place. The variety and versatility of his magic and his quirk allowed him to get a higher rank.

During the test itself, he mainly used One For All throughout it. He didn't use his spells often since he wanted to practice using One For All for now.

"Now that the test is finished, you are all dismissed early. You will get your student handbooks later."

The class then proceeded to return to the classroom. Izuku was about to do the same, when a girl approached him.

"Midoriya-san, I want to talk to you about something. Can we meet somewhere private later?" Momo said. Izuku had a hunch as to what it is.

"Sure." Izuku replied.

Momo then had the sweetest smile on her face as he said that.

"Then I'll see you later, Onii-sama!"

Chapter 3: We Have Reunited

Well, that didn't take long at all.

Izuku thought as he walked towards the locker room to change alongside his classmates. It looks like the Miyuki's reincarnation, Yaoyorozu Momo, will talk to him later after class. He smiled.

I'm glad I managed to meet her early enough.

"Hey, Midoriya." one of his classmates, Kaminari Denki, called out to him as they were changing. "What's your quirk?"

"Yeah, what is it? I saw what you did during the Entrance Exam, man, and it's not just a super strength quirk." Eijiro asked along with him. The others also stared curiously at Izuku. He sighed.

"My quirk is called Information Manipulation." he replied, stating the name of his supposed "quirk". "It allows me to destroy, restore, or temporarily rewrite phenomena."

"That sounds... complicated." Sero Hanta groaned.

"It is. I can't explain it too much right now. I'll explain it fully once I get the time." He said.

"Hey, Kirishima, what did Midoriya do in the entrance exam?" Denki asked. Eijiro shivered, which caused everyone in the room to ne concerned.

"Can I... tell them, Midoriya?"

Izuku contemplated about for a little, then nodded.

"We'll be classmates for three years, and we'll also probably be colleagues later. I would appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone else, though."

Eijiro sighed in relief, then he told everyone what happened.

"What?" Sato Rikido said.

"He erased that zero-pointer! He shot it with something, then it just... disappeared!"

"What the hell...?" Ojiro Mashirao looked shocked and scared.

"U-Uh, if I'm ever rude to you in the future, I apologize in advance, okay, Midoriya?" Denki said.

Meanwhile, two people had different reactions. Katsuki looked shocked and almost... thrilled. Todoroki Shouto, meanwhile, narrowed his eyes.

"E-Eh?!"

The girls reacted similarly to the boys as they heard Mina and Uraraka's story, with them all being shocked and horrified at the same time.

"What kind of quirk does Midoriya have?!" Kyoka asked. Even after hearing about it from the two earlier because of her quirk, she was still bewildered by the power that Izuku wielded.

"Seriously, he erased the zero-pointer from existence? I feel bad for all the villains that's going to fight him in the future." Hagakure Toru remarked.

"Still, he's such a nice guy, isn't he?" Mina remarked.

"Yeah, he is." Ochaco smiled serenely.

Meanwhile, Momo beamed knowing that, yes, Midoriya Izuku was indeed the reincarnation of her husband in her past life.

I'm just glad that Onii-sama was finally able to get the treatment he truly deserves.

Take note that she was not yet aware of Midoriya Izuku's life before UA.

Take note that the moment she finds out, it wouldn't end well.

"So you are formerly Shiba Miyuki?" All Might asked.

Izuku informed his mentor, as well as the principal, about Momo, so after they had met up after classes, he immediately went to the principal's office with her in tow. He had also given her a brief summary on how he was in contact with both the Symbol of Peace and the Principal of UA.

After a few minutes, they had arrived at the principal's office, and after some pleasantries, All Might went straight to the point.

"Yes, I am Yaoyorozu Momo, the reincarnation of Shiba Miyuki. It is nice to meet you, All Might-san." she greeted him warmly.

"It's also a pleasure to meet you, Young Yaoyorozu!" All Might said. "I am glad that you and Young Midoriya have found each other!"

"The Yaoyorozu Group, hm? I have a question for you, Yaoyorozu-san." Nezu said. "Have you informed your parents about your... situation?"

"Yes, they were very receptive of the news. They told me to hide my magic before coming into UA, because they didn't want the HPSC to get ahold of me." she said.

"This is why you had me hide the existence of Mist Dispersion, didn't you, All Might?"

"Yes, I do not want them to find you, Young Midoriya. Mist Dispersion is a powerful and dangerous ability. I do not want it to fall into the wrong hands." the hero said.

"No wonder we couldn't find you, then, despite our extensive investigations." Nezu said. "You have the Yaoyorozu Group concealing you."

"Have they been treating you well, Miyu- I mean, Momo?" Izuku asked. Considering that she is the reincarnation of his wife, calling her by anything other than her first name just feels wrong.

"Oh, they're much better than the Yotsuba, at least." she said. That came as a relief to Izuku, who didn't want her to experience the same things she did during her past life. "It is good that I have experience being an heiress to a prestigious family, it makes life easier for me."

"That's good. At least you're doing alright, Momo."

"What about you, Oni- I mean, Izuku-san?"

"Just call me Izuku." the boy said. "As for what happened to me, well..."

Izuku then narrated what had happened in his life so far, including One For All. He did not want to keep any secrets from her, even though his life so far would definitely cause her to be concerned and upset.

Just as he had predicted, after he had narrated his story, the room went cold. Momo's magic was going out of control due to her emotions. This made Izuku slightly panic.

"Calm down, Miyuki!" Izuku had accidentally called her by her past name, but it did cause the intended effect of calming her down and allowing the cold to subside. Both All Might and Nezu were also affected by the sudden drop of temperature caused by Momo's outburst.

I thought that she had control over this?! Was the fact that she had reincarnated into a new body made her control sloppy?

"My apologies, Onii-sama." Momo had also accidentally called him with that title instead of Izuku. "I'm just upset by the torment you had suffered in the past. If I ever see Bakugou again..."

"Don't." Izuku told her firmly. "It would be suspicious if you got furious at Bakugou for my behalf considering that we had technically just met. I had also made sure that he suffered the consequences for his actions, so you don't have to worry about that."

Momo had calmed down for now, but she had sworn that if Bakugou tries anything against Izuku, she would make sure to put him down and destroy him.

No, even if Bakugou didn't do anything to Izuku, if she and him had a chance to fight, then Momo would make sure that she crushes him. She wouldn't be satisfied otherwise.

"I want to thank you for letting Izuku achieve his dream, All Might-san." the girl turned towards All Might and bowed.

"It's nothing, Young Yaoyorozu. I truly believe that Young Midoriya is deserving of his dream of becoming a hero!" he replied. This caused Momo to smile warmly once again.

"He truly does, All Might-san." she said.

"Anyway, do you want me to create your CAD again, Momo?" I asked her. "I'm also enrolled in the Support Course of UA, so I have access to the Support Lab."

"I would love you to, Izuku!" she said.

"What is your quirk, anyway?"

"It's called Creation!" she answered. She then unrolled her sleeves and produced a matryoshka doll. "I can create any object, as long as it isn't a living object, using my lipids! I was honestly tempted to create a CAD of my own, but I am a novice when it comes to how the software works, so I decided to wait until I found you instead."

"I see. A useful quirk, though vastly different from your magic. No wonder your parents asked you to hide them." Izuku nodded. "It would have been incredibly suspicious if you hadn't."

"You're right." Nezu agreed.

"Oh yeah, Principal Nezu." Izuku turned to the principal, and he had expressed his concerns to him.  "You need to increase the security of the school, at least for a few months from now. If All Might teaching at the school gets leaked to the media, then the press will most likely swarm the school. It's also possible for a villain to slip through the cracks."

"Ah yes, that is indeed a concern. I'll make sure to do as you suggest, Midoriya-kun."

"Thank you, sir."

"In any case, your class in the Support Course will begin tomorrow, Midoriya-kun. I wish you good luck." Nezu said.

Why did that sound more ominous than it needed to be?

The next day, Izuku came to UA early for his Support Course lessons. Thankfully, the schedule of the classes about subjects exclusive to either one of the courses all have different times, so there was no need to worry about any overlap. It does make Izuku's schedule incredibly hectic, but the boy didn't mind.

As he was walking towards the Support Lab, he saw Momo waiting for him. He proceeded to give the girl her CAD first, one that he created in private after the meeting yesterday. He did say that the CAD wasn't fully functional yet, and it was still a prototype until he can fully build it in the Support Lab, and Momo said that she didn't mind.

"You wanted to accompany me?"

"I have nothing better to do, and I just wanted to catch up with what you've been doing." she said.

"Sure, then."

With that, they began to talk. It was mostly just meaningless conversation about their lives, so far. Izuku did not want to upset Momo any further, so he glossed over the more... upsetting parts of his life.

It didn't take long for them to reach the Support Lab. Izuku reached out to the door to try and open it, but his instincts made him jump sideways. Not long after, an explosion went off inside the lab, causing the door to be ripped off its hinges.

"Is anyone okay?!" Izuku immediately entered the room along with Momo to see if anyone is okay.

"Damn it, Hatsume! It's the second day of class!" Power Loader shouted from beyond the smoke. "Stop being so reckless!"

"You can't make omelets without breaking a few eggs, Power Loader!" a female voice came from outside the room. When the dust and smoke cleared, a girl with pink hair and amber eyes appeared, covered in soot and dust. She was wearing a big smile on her face, and she was carrying a wrench in her hand.

"Power Loader, what's going on?" Izuku asked the teacher. Power Loader sighed.

"She's a classmate of yours. Hatsume Mei." he introduced her.

"Oh! A classmate! What's your name?" the girl immediately got incredibly close to Izuku, ignoring all concept of personal space. Izuku could already feel the temperature gradually drop, courtesy of Momo, so he instinctively moved away from the girl to prevent the situation from escalating.

"Midoriya Izuku." he introduced himself, and they both shook hands.

"It's a pleasure to meet you! And your name has already been forgotten!" she said very cheerfully, causing both Izuku and Momo to sweatdrop.

She's very... clueless when it comes to social interactions, doesn't she?

Momo sighed in her head. She had seen people like Mei before, people who are too passionate in their field and ignores anything else, especially social interactions. She just felt a little sorry for Izuku for having to deal with her in a frequent basis.

The girl then said something that will cause a great misunderstanding.

"Come and make some babies with me, Green Hair! It's going to be fun!"

Immediately, the room temperature dropped drastically. The temperature had decreased to the point where Power Loader's hot coffee had solidified. Izuku hurriedly tried to de-escalate the situation, but Mei, who was somehow unaware of what was going on, did it for him.

"Look, here is one of my babies!" she said, while showing a jetpack. The temperature then rose as fast as it dropped, causing Izuku to sigh in relief. Momo just sighed at just how clueless the girl was.

Is that her quirk? How terrifying.

Power Loader shuddered, even after the cold was gone. The pro hero knew that this girl had a lot of potential. He quickly moved on from it, though, as he realized that class was about to start.

"Hatsume! Midoriya! Class is about to begin! Let's go!" he said to the two.

"Take care, Izuku. I'll see you later." Momo bid farewell to the boy, and proceeded to walk towards the classroom of 1-A.

The classes in the support course were incredibly interesting for Izuku.

He was a magic engineer in his past life, one who was considered a genius in the magical engineering community, revolutionizing magic with creations like the Loop Casting System as well as flight magic, which was originally thought to be impossible, under the name Taurus Silver. Because of this, he had thought that the lessons he would learn from the Support Course would be concepts, topics, and ideas that he already knew, and that it would be easy for him.

He was both right and wrong.

While he still learned them easily enough, the subjects in Support Course were... incredibly intriguing for him. It was a fascinating experience and he absorbed practically everything that the teacher taught them.

He was a bit exasperated by the pink haired girl that is Hatsume Mei. While he did think that she was a brilliant inventor that may one day rival him given enough time, she was severely lacking in restraint. He lost count of how many times he discreetly used Regrowth and Mist Dispersion to prevent her attempts from exploding. What's worse was that she had found out about the CAD that he made, and she was now pestering him about it.

"Hey, Green Hair, how did you make that baby? How did you manage to put such complicated technology in such a small device? How did it speed up the activation of your quirk? Can you teach me?! " she asked incessantly. Izuku was at a loss as to how he would respond to the enthusiastic inventor. He didn't want to be rude, but he also needed to be firm in setting boundaries, lest she be killed by Momo one day. In the end, he had told her that the CAD was unique to his quirk, so she backed off, for now at least.

This did lead him to formulate a certain theory.

After class, he asked Power Loader for a private room in the lab, since his Hero course subject still hasn't officially begun yet and he needed space to test out this theory. The teacher agreed, telling him not to cause explosions. He nodded at the teacher's request, and went inside.

I've been thinking about this since I have regained my memories. There is a possibility that quirks are mutations of the body that were caused by psions. In short, quirks are essentially a different, parallel evolution of magic.

If that's the case, I need to test this out.

Fortunately for Izuku, his quirk, One For All, was perfect for testing out this theory. It's a quirk that stockpiles energy, which means that, if his theory was correct, it must be stockpiling psions as well.

If this is correct, then he plans on making an activation sequence and a magic sequence for One For All, essentially creating new magic spells based on the quirk.

By doing this, not only could he accelerate the activation of One For All, which is an issue that he has with the quirk currently, but he can also utilize it further than just body enhancement. Maybe he can also use it to strengthen his spells, but that was simply an afterthought.

Let's do this.

I did it.

It was easier than Izuku thought.

After some trial and error, he managed to make two magic sequences based on One For All, and an activation sequence for One For All.

It turned out that it was trivially easy to make the activation sequence for the quirk. All it does is simply accelerate the process of activating One For All throughout the body, so it didn't take long for Izuku to do it. Of course, it was reliant on his CAD, but for now, that was enough.

As for the two magic sequences, Izuku was concerned about the fact that he lacked any ranged attacks using One For All, and he was solely limited to magic in that regard. Izuku didn't want to be reliant on magic, considering that it's only been a short time since he became fully capable of using normal magic, and his Decomposition was not going to be useful in every combat encounter, so he devised the two magic sequences derived from One For All's stockpiling capabilities to deal with that problem.

First was Burst Wave. It's a Release Systematic-type magic that relases a small portion of the stockpiled energy of One For All to release a huge wave of energy in one direction, or all around the user. It's actually non-lethal, designed to simply stun and incapacitate nearby enemies. He knew that this was devastating in fighing against large groups of people, though the spell could also incur collateral damage.

The second one was Rail Gun. This one is a Release and Convergence Systematic-type magic that compresses a portion of the stockpiled energy of One For All into a small point, like a projectile, then firing it at a target at high speeds. This one was incredibly lethal. Izuku made sure that he didn't fire it when he was experimenting on it, for fear of killing someone with a stray shot. Izuku knew that, at its fullest potential, it can pierce through practically anything. He knew that eventually, a current user of One For All can change the weather with a punch. Imagine the force of that punch compressed to the size of an arrow, then firing it. Izuku almost shuddered at the thought.

While he was proud that he was able to create these magic sequences, he wasn't going to use them if it was going to have lethal consequences unless absolutely necessary.

Izuku had been worried that he may weaken One For All if he kept using the stockpiled energy for the spells, but the past users assured him that he can stockpile more energy to regenerate the one he lost. He also remembered that he can also use Regrowth to do this.

Right now, though, he had a class that he needed to attend.

"Well, damn." the fifth user of One For All blurted out.

"Yes, that is an appropriate reaction. " Yoichi sighed.

"We all expected this to happen, but not this soon." Hikage said. "He had now invented two powerful spells based on One For All."

"That connection he made, do you think it's true?" Nana turned to the First.

"It is possible." he responded. "Quirks emerged at almost the exact same time as magic did for his world. One For All also affected his magic, so he has a point regarding the theory. It is a little disorientating how powerful he is right now, even though he hasn't fully mastered the quirk yet. "

"Heh, it's a shame that All For One is already dead, it would have been satisfying to see him get destroyed by this boy." the Second user said.

"Let's just make sure that the boy doesn't let his power corrupt him." the Third user remarked.

"If anyone does deserve to have a nuke blown up point-blank in front their face, it's him." Yoichi expressed his hatred towards his brother. "Besides, I have doubts that he is actually dead. If he isn't, then we need Ninth to finish the job."

"Yeah, we'll be rooting for Ninth to completely annihilate All For One!"

"Indeed. We are all looking forward to it.

The normal classes were absolutely bizarre for Izuku.

While he had expected it, it was still jarring for him how he was taught very mundane high school by Pro Heroes, who were surprisingly very good at teaching.

He knew that his classmates in 1-A were only looking forward to one class, though. Foundational Heroics.

"I wonder who our teacher will be on Foundational Heroics." Denki wondered aloud.

"It must be a retired pro or something like that." Eijiro said.

"Maybe it's a rotation of teachers, ribbit?" Asui Tsuyu joined in.

Izuku knew who it was, but he didn't say anything, wanting it to be a surprise.

Eventually, their teacher entered.

"I AM HERE!" All Might shouted "Coming through the door like a normal person!"

All Might, when people enter a door, they don't shout at the top of their lungs.

Izuku thought this, but he didn't say it out loud. He didn't want to embarrass the man after all.

Naturally, most of the students were at awe at the Number One Hero. Izuku was feeling the same, even if it was more subdued. He still held All Might at a high regard, even though he doesn't think of him as this godlike being that could never lose anymore.

He still smiled brightly, though. Something that Momo noticed and was shocked by.

I forgot! Because Izuku is in a different body, his emotions aren't suppressed anymore! He can express emotions more freely now!

It was something that the reincarnated girl was very happy about. Now, her beloved didn't have to suffer like that anymore. He can act like a normal human now.

I am thankful to whatever cause our reincarnation. Now, Izuku can become a normal human again.

"Today, in our first Foundational Heroics, we will be doing battle trials to test yourselves and your quirks in combat!" All Might said.

"Ribbit. Isn't it a bit too early for that, All Might-sensei?" Tsuyu said.

"Indeed, it is quite early. However, that is the point. I want to test how good you are in combat without having gone through training in order to figure out what you are good at and where you are lacking in order to know where it is best to train you!" The hero said. There was a good amount of nods at this.

"Now then! Before we go, you need to be suitably dressed for the occasion!" The pro hero pressed a remote, and suitcases suddenly came out of the ceiling. The class grabbed their respective suitcases. "That's right, hero costumes! They have been tailored based on your specifications, so I hope that you like them! Suit up and meet me in Ground Beta in 30 minutes!"

With that, the class moved in a hurry, excited for their first heroic class.

"I am proud to see you looking like true heroes, 1-A!" All Might greeted as soon as they entered.

When Izuku was thinking of what to wear as his costume, he reminisced about First High and his experiences there, and he used their uniform as a basis for his costume. Essentially, he was wearing an identical copy of the First High uniform, though there was added defense, like shoulder pads, knee pads, and a layer of carbon fiber armor underneath the costume.

Momo just looked on at Izuku's costume with nostalgia, as she too was reminded of First High.

"Cool costume, Midoriya!" Ochaco approached him. He thought that Ochaco looked good in her costume, but thanks to the Shiba Tatsuya in him, he managed to remain stoic.

"I think your costume looks great, too, Uraraka-san." Izuku said.

"Thank you! This is a bit too tight, though..."

"You can probably make a request on the Support Department to change your costume."

"I see! Then I'll do just that later!"

"Today, we will be doing an advanced version of the Heroes vs. Villains that you did as children, but now with real objectives!" All Might said. "There is a faux bomb inside this building. The villains' goal is to protect the bomb in 15 minutes, while the goal of the heroes are to either touch the bomb or capture both of the villains! Both sides will be given time to prepare before the trials, so use that time wisely! We will be picking teams through lots!"

While at first, some questioned whether that was an efficient way of picking teams, Izuku pointed out that heroes didn't have the luxury of picking a person to team up with to fight villains. And so, the teams were picked.

A - Kirishima Eijiro and Hagakure Toru

B - Bakugou Katsuki and Ojiro Mashirao

C - Midoriya Izuku and Jirou Kyouka

D - Shoji Mezou and Aoyama Yuga

E - Uraraka Ochaco and Tsuyu Asui

F - Yaoyorozu Momo and Hitoshi Shinsou

G - Koji Koda and Tokoyami Fumikage

H - Iida Tenya and Mina Ashido

I - Kaminari Denki and Rikido Sato

J - Todoroki Shoto and Hanta Sero

"I guess we're a team, Midoriya." Kyouka approached him, and they both shook hands.

"It would be a pleasure working with you."

"Yeah, me too, Midoriya."

Most of the other teams also greeted each other, while some went straight to asking for their quirks. Before they can continue though, All Might's booming voice interrupted them.

"And now, here are the pairs that will be fighting each other! The first team mentioned will be the Heroes, and the second team mentioned will be the Villains!"

Team C vs. Team J

Team B vs. Team F

Team A vs. Team D

Team I vs. Team G

Team H vs. Team E

Izuku looked over at Shoto, who had burning determination in his eyes. Meanwhile, Katsuki and Momo looked at each other, and glared.

The battle trials have now begun.

Chapter 4: Godlike

"We're fighting Todoroki and Sero, huh?" Kyouka mused.

"Does your quirk give you enhanced hearing?" Izuku asked while pointing at her ears. The girl nodded.

"Yeah. My quirk allows me to increase my hearing as well as project violent vibrations through my ear jacks for a powerful attack." Kyouka explained. Izuku simply nodded and explained his own quirk.

"Your quirk is really powerful, huh? How are you not recommended?"

"I actually had a pro hero ask if I wanted to be recommended by him, but I refused." Izuku said. "I wanted to get in through my own merit."

"I guess I can understand that. Now then, what do you think they are going to do once the fight begins?" the girl asked her teammate.

"He will freeze us using his ice." Izuku said. "It is an efficient way to subdue us without any extreme injury. Fire is much too risky in a place like this. As for Sero, subduing is most likely his forte using his tape. In this environment, although it wouldn't be possible for him to use his mobility, it would be easy for him to trap us in the tape. We need to be careful. They could probably use hit and run tactics against us."

"So how do we counter that?"

Izuku began to think for a few moments before he got an idea.

"I have a plan."

Izuku then told her about the plan, and once he's finished explaining it, Kyouka grinned.

"Yeah, that could work."

"Hey, Todoroki, what are we going to do?" Hanta asked the dichromatic boy. Shoto didn't respond, only falling silent.

While he maintained a stoic expression, Shoto was actually incredibly tense. He knew just how powerful Izuku is, so if he underestimated him, he would be finished. Not only that, but his ice is practically useless against Izuku, considering that he can simply erase it using his quirk. This fight would be an uphill battle.

"Your quirk allows you to produce tape from your elbows, yes?"

"Yeah, that's my quirk."

"The moment the battle starts, I will freeze them, then you charge at their position, but do not engage them directly. I'll support you from behind." Shoto said. "We just need to buy time for the timer to run out so we can win. We should not try and fight them head-on. A direct confrontation against a powerful enemy like Midoriya will only end in disaster for us."

"So we're doing hit and run tactics?"

"Yes." Shoto replied, though it didn't stop him from clenching his fists in anger. It hurt his pride that he had to resort to such a tactic, but he can't let his anger get the better of him here.

He wants to win.

"Who do you think will win, Yaomomo?" Ochaco asked the reincarnated girl.

Momo was a bit flustered with the nickname, as even in her past life, she's never gotten a nickname before. Even Izuku, or Tatsuya, never gave her a nickname.

She didn't hate it though. She liked the nickname. It made her feel close to people.

"Izuku is more likely to win." she said confidently. Mina smirked at her.

"Rooting for your crush, huh, Yaomomo?" she teased her. "We all saw how you looked at him, you totally have a crush! You're even on a first-name basis with him!" Momo went red at the insinuation. Normally, she wouldn't be flustered by something like this, but the combination of reuniting with Izuku and going through puberty again made her blush.

"N-No, I-It's not like that!" she said, then she cleared her throat. "While Todoroki-kun is undoubtedly skilled, his quirk is a bad match up against Izuku's own quirk. His fire is also not a great choice in such an enclosed environment, especially in a training exercise like this, so his only choice is to use his ice, which Izuku can erase. Sero-san's tape also has that problem."

"Man, Midoriya's quirk is really powerful, huh?" Denki said. "I'm kinda jealous. I mean, I also have a powerful quirk, but it has such a nasty drawback."

"I honestly don't want to fight him." Tsuyu said. "He's scary."

While the class was saying these things, Katsuki was being very quiet.

He was angry seeing Izuku like that. After more than a decade of being useless, he suddenly gets this powerful quirk and now he becomes someone as great as him. While he is treating him as an equal now, he still wanted to be the greater one. He was disappointed to find out that he wasn't going to fight Izuku today, but that was fine by him. He was going to beat him sooner or later. He's going to be the greater hero than the two of them.

Just you wait, Midoriya. I will defeat you, no matter what.

What Katsuki wasn't aware of at this point in time was that someone has it out for him in the class.

Someone who will crush him before he can even get to fight Izuku.

"The first match has now BEGUN!" All Might exclaimed. "The hero team may now enter the building!"

Both Izuku and Kyouka entered the front door with caution. With a nod, Izuku ordered Kyouka to listen to where they may be. The girl jammed her jacks into the walls and listened for any sound to indicate where their opponents are.

"They're coming." she said. "Sero is in the front and Todoroki is following closely behind."

"I see. Just as I expected." Izuku muttered. "Attack them once they're near."

Kyouka simply nodded and put her jacks to the speakers on her feet, ready to assault on a moment's notice.

In a few seconds, the two members of Team J entered their sights, ready to attack at a distance, when Kyouka swiftly sent a powerful vibration straight at the two. The two winced and was clearly stunned, but Todoroki was quick enough to create a massive ice wall to prevent them from being attacked by the vibrations.

"Bad idea." Izuku said, as he readied his CAD to launch his newly made spell. "Burst Wave!"

A massive shockwave was fired from the CAD, causing the ice wall to be crumble. Kyouka readied herself for another attack, but the villain team prepared to counterattack.

Shoto launched a small glacier at the two to try and freeze them, but Izuku simply used Mist Dispersion to erase the glacier. This was simply a distraction, though, as Hanta fired a strand of tape at Izuku to try and subdue him, but in a stunning display of reflexes, Izuku caught the tape, pulled at it which caused Hanta to tumble forwards, then he used his Decomposition to cut the tape and launched himself with One For All and Accel.

"What the-"

Shoto attempted to protect his partner by trying to freeze Izuku, but without even looking, Izuku used Mist Dispersion again to destroy the ice before it even hits him. Meanwhile, Hanta was about to receive a nasty kick from Izuku.

"KYOTO SMASH!

The kick sent Hanta flying to the wall, though Shoto used another ice wall to prevent Hanta from crashing into the wall of the building. Izuku then used this opportunity to use Resonate to stun Shoto.

"Go, Jirou! You should have an idea where the bomb is! I'll hold these two off!"

With that, Kyouka ran to find the bomb, while the other two prepared to engage Izuku carefully.

"Man, this is intense!" Eijiro commented while watching the fight.

"Yeah, Midoriya completely dominated there." Rikido remarked. "That Mist Dispersion is unfair. He completely erased Todoroki's ice."

"He also caught Sero's tape like it was nothing!" Mina was shaking excitedly. "It was so cool!"

"I wonder what kind of training Midoriya went through to get that strong." Mashirao wondered. "Those movements are insane. Such an amazing combat ability. He's like an experienced veteran."

"I'm really excited to see him fight!" Eijiro said.

"Why did Todoroki-chan decide to charge them together, though? Now no one is going to be defending the bomb when Jirou-chan finds it." Tsuyu asked.

"It's a better plan than splitting up." Shinsou answered. "Considering how powerful Midoriya is, splitting up and having only one of them take on the two will just make them lose even faster."

"He's right!" Tenya agreed with the purple-haired boy. "Considering that Todoroki-kun's ice is practically ineffective against Midoriya-kun, he would undoubtedly lose if he engaged him alone and carelessly. It's a much better plan for the two to attack him together in hopes of at least stalling him or even capturing him."

"Midoriya is so fast, though." Denki remarked as he watched the fight unfold. "Can they even subdue him like that?"

"It's definitely going to be difficult. The best plan for them right now is to run away as fast as they could and subdue Jirou-san first who's going for the bomb." Ochaco said.

"I'm just glad that I didn't get to fight Midoriya-kun. I know I'll lose."

This is probably the most terrifying thing about Young Midoriya right now. His incredible combat prowess. In a world that is reliant on quirks, Young Midoriya can easily defeat most villains that he fights. Combine that with his magic and One For All, and I can understand why Aizawa calls him a monster.

The fight continued on, as both members of Team J tried to retreat and regroup to another location. Shoto even made multiple ice pillars to hide their location from Izuku, since Kyouka is currently separated from him.

Unfortunately for them, Izuku has the power to sense them using Elemental Sight

Both of them are trying to pursue Jirou. They're trying to use these pillars to block any attempt from me to launch my attacks at them. Unfortunately, I have magic that perfectly counters these.

Remembering his friend, Shizuku's, Pillars Break competition in his past life, he used the exact same spell that she used to destroy the pillars almost instantaneously.

"Resonance!" he casted the spell. The ice pillars then all vibrated violently, causing them to break a few seconds later.

Annoyed by this turn of events, Shoto tried to send another glacier at Izuku, who simply erased it again. Shoto was now even angrier, as he was now feeling the effects of hypothermia in his body caused by his excessive use of his ice. Izuku used Resonate to stun him again, then went after Hanta.

If Sero gets knocked out by him, we'll lose!

Shoto immediately rushed at Izuku, using his ice to propel himself forwards. Hanta saw this, and immediately turned around and launched his tape at one of Izuku's arms to try and prevent him from using it. Shoto also launched himself forward, trying to freeze Izuku's other arm.

A pincer formation, huh? Not bad.

Izuku then readied to fire off another Burst Wave at Shoto, but he launched it a second too late, and Shoto managed to freeze the arm before he was sent flying by Izuku's attack.

"Yes!" Sero shouted in celebration as he also caught Izuku's other arm with his tape and prepared to launch another tape at him to incapacitate him even a little.

The celebration was short-lived, though, as he watched in horror as his enemy prepared to punch him with the arm that was frozen, only to see it perfectly fine.

How?!

Before he can even do anything to block, Izuku instantly activated One For All and punched him downwards in the face.

"HOKKAIDO SMASH!" Izuku shouted as his punch knocked Hanta out on the floor.

Shoto, who had just gotten up, was also shocked at the sight.

What happened? I know I froze that arm before he sent me away. How is it functioning normally?

The boy then remembered the way Izuku described his quirk.

"It allows me to destroy, restore, or temporarily rewrite phenomena."

Restore... Wait, did Midoriya restore his arm to its previous state? Before it was frozen? Is that what he did with his broken arm during the Quirk Assessment Test?

"The power to destroy and restore..." Shoto muttered as he stared intensely at Izuku. "What an absurd ability."

"WHAT HAPPENED?!" the class shouted as they watched Izuku and Shoto stare at each other.

"Didn't Todoroki freeze that arm earlier? Why is it completely fine?" Eijiro asked the question everyone wanted to ask.

"A part of Young Midoriya's quirk allows him to restore phenomena to a previous state. It's called Regrowth. " All Might explained. "As long as it happened within 24 hours, he can fix any damage incurred by anything, living or non-living."

"Damn, it's like he has another quirk." Denki remarked.

"Yeah, his abilities make it look like he has multiple quirks. It's insane." Mashirao agreed.

"The ability of both destruction and restoration. A power born from the dark and the light." Fumikage said. "A godlike ability, indeed."

"Godlike sounds just about right." Eijiro said. "Man, we're lucky this guy wants to be a hero. Imagine the amount of destruction he can cause if he was a villain."

All Might shuddered slightly at the thought, remembering what Izuku said regarding his Material Burst. If Izuku was a villain, then the world would be finished. No hero, not even him, can stop the boy.

Thankfully, the boy has no villainous bone in his body. He is the most heroic boy I had met, even when he regained his memories of Shiba Tatsuya. Thankfully, he wasn't villainous in his past life as well.

"You know, the ability reminds me of that one Buddhist deity." Shouji said.

"Yes. If I remember correctly, the name is Mahesvara." Tenya said. Momo flinched slightly hearing that name again.

Even in another world, Izuku can't escape that name... It makes me feel sad.

"Can he use it to heal other people?" Toru asked.

"Yes, but..." All Might hesitated before saying it. "There is a drawback to his restoration capabilities."

"A drawback?" Tsuyu asked.

"Before Young Midoriya can restore anything, he needs to read its information first. If he wants to restore an injured person to their previous state, he needs to read every information involved, including the pain the person felt."

"The pain...?" Mashirao asked.

"Yes. Since the process is almost instantaneous, that means that he will feel all the pain condensed into less than a second. For example, if someone broke their arm, then a minute later Young Midoriya used Regrowth on them, he will then read that information within, say, 0.2 seconds, that means that he will have to endure 300 times the pain that person felt in that duration of time."

The entire class was silent by this revelation. Momo, meanwhile, was just saddened being reminded of this information. Ever since Tatsuya had retired from fighting, he never really used Regrowth anymore, so just being reminded of all the pain that he went through just made her feel melancholic again.

"Thankfully, this only applies to living beings. Since non-living things cannot feel pain, he wouldn't feel pain from restoring those as well."

The class just remained silent, mulling over this information as they saw the match between the two teams conclude.

Shoto didn't waste any time, even when he was already cold from his quirk, and sent more ice at Izuku. Again, Izuku used Mist Dispersion to erase all the ice. Shoto used this little distraction to run as fast as he could towards the room where the bomb is to try and protect it from Kyouka. However, Izuku simply used another Resonate spell to incapacitate him, but Shoto powered through it and erected another ice wall to protect himself from Izuku. As to be expected, the ice wall got erased, and Izuku was now in front of Shoto while pointing his CAD at him.

Considering that the CAD looked like a pistol, it looked intimidating to Shoto.

"Stand down and surrender."

Shoto grit his teeth. He hated feeling weak like this, but he knew that right now, he doesn't stand a chance. Izuku then raised his eyebrow, before asking a question.

"Why aren't you using your fire?"

"Huh?"

"You're clearly suffering from hypothermia from the overuse of your ice. I assume that you have a fire quirk to counteract that, maybe on your left side?" Izuku asked.

Shoto became even angrier.

"I'll never use his fire." he said with conviction.

Izuku then stared at Shoto. He knew that he was Endeavor's son, and he also knew that he had a fire quirk. It wasn't difficult for Izuku to put two and two together, and he sighed.

"Quit being a hero."

Shoto was dumbfounded by what he said and stared at the green-haired boy with wide eyes.

"What did you say?"

"That attitude makes you unfit to be a hero. Quit right now before you get yourself killed with your blindness. After all, if you're unwilling to use your quirk like that, then you'll just endanger people's lives."

Izuku was reminded of a time in his past life when he tried to persuade a friend of his, Angelina Shields, to quit being a soldier because she was too soft. He smiled internally at the memory.

It wasn't only him reminiscing too. Shoto remembered an almost forgotten memory of him and his mother, talking about wanting a hero. He then felt something in him that he never felt for a long time.

Relief.

"That's right. I want to be a hero."

Instantly, Shoto's left side burst in flames, causing the hypothermia to disappear. Izuku then smiled a little at this.

"I changed my mind. You can be a hero, Shoto."

The dual-colored haired boy was shocked that he called him by his first name, but he understood that it was simply him caring for him. Shoto then stood up, ready to fight Izuku with his flames now, but before they can do anything, All Might's voice was heard through the speakers.

"The bomb has been caught. THE HERO TEAM WINS!"

Both boys were equally stunned, momentarily forgetting that Kyouka had been looking for the bomb. Izuku lowered his CAD, while Shoto's flames died out slowly.

"Remember what I said, Shoto." Izuku said as he walked towards the front door to head to the room.

"Thank you, Mido- no, Izuku." he said.

"You're welcome."

"So, who is the MVP for this match?"

All Might asked the entire class. They were still fairly disappointed that the fight between Izuku and Shoto didn't continue, but they didn't complain. Only Hanta was sent to the clinic, since Izuku, Shoto, and Kyouka didn't receive any major injury, so they rejoined the class soon after their match ended.

"Isn't Midoriya the MVP? I mean, he held off Sero and Todoroki on his own while Jirou looked for the bomb."

"Yeah, he was so manly!"

"While Izuku-kun is undoubtedly the MVP, Jirou-san should also get some credit. Not only did she cooperate with her teammate well, but she also diligently followed the task that was requested of her. If it wasn't for her stunning the two during the start of the fight with her quirk, they probably would have been able to initiate their own plans, making it difficult for their team." Momo said. While she did think that Izuku would have actually been able to handle them, the class didn't know this, so they probably wouldn't believe her assessment if she said that.

"Young Yaoyorozu is correct!" All Might said. "While Young Midoriya is most certainly the MVP, the other three did splendidly as well! It's already been said how Young Jirou did well, while the Villain Team also did great, despite the fact that they were at a great disadvantage, so take pride in it, young heroes! Now then, Team B and Team F, prepare for your match!"

Momo's gaze hardened as she walked out of the room into the testing area.

It's time for her to destroy Katsuki.

"Shinsou-san, I have to tell you about my quirk, or rather, quirks." she said to her teammate. Hitoshi looked confused.

"Quirks?"

"Somehow, about a few months before I attended UA, I manifested another quirk..." she said.

"Another quirk, huh? Well, I'm not going to ask for now since that'll waste our time. What are they then?"

"My first quirk is Creation, the quirk that manifested when I was 4 years old. It allows me to create anything as long as it isn't a living thing and as long as I know its molecular structure." she demonstrated it by creating a transceiver "My other quirk, the one I received recently, is called Cocytus."

"Cocytus? The river with wailing souls in Greek mythology?" Hitoshi asked. Momo chuckled nervously.

"So you know about it..." she said. "Well, yes, but the quirk is pretty simple. I can freeze anything."

"Freeze? So you have a quirk like Todoroki?" Hitoshi asked.

"No, Shinsou-san." she said. "When I said I can freeze anything, I mean anything."

What does that mean?

Hitoshi wanted her to specify, but thought that he may not like the answer, so he just gave up, and volunteered information on his quirk as well.

"Quite the interesting quirk." she said. Hitoshi was relieved that she didn't call his quirk villainous. "It's good for subduing villains quietly, though of course, it has the drawback that you can't be a famous hero with the quirk."

"I plan to be an underground hero like our teacher, Aizawa, so I have that handled." he replied. "Anyway, what are we going to do about those two?"

Momo fell silent, then after a few seconds, turned to Hitoshi.

"I have a plan."

"The second match has now BEGUN!" All Might exclaimed once more. "The hero team may now enter the building!"

"Hey, Tail! We'll split up and look for the bomb! You go that way!" he said.

"Sure!" Mashirao didn't like the fact that he called him by such a rude nickname, or that he was shouting so loudly, but at least he came up with a decent plan and cooperated on it. He went right, while Katsuki went left.

Katsuki began rocketing forward using his explosions, but once he went straight into an empty corridor in the second floor, smoke began to fill the area, which was caused by a bunch of smoke bombs thrown by Momo. The explosive boy didn't let this bother him, as he simply used his quirk to blow away the smoke.

He didn't expect to see Momo charging at him with an intense expression as the smoke clears, holding what looked like a steel pipe.

This made him slow to react, allowing Momo to swing the pipe straight at his body and at his head, striking it violently.

"GAH-!"

Momo wasn't done, as she then used her quirk to produce a taser to try and incapacitate Katsuki. Before she could reach him, though, he used his explosion to send himself flying backwards to prevent the taser from reaching him.

"Very smart, hero. I underestimated you."  Momo said in a cold voice. "However, that's not enough."

A large stream of water then shot out of Momo's palms, causing Katsuki to dodge to the side to avoid it.

"You can do that?!"

"Water is a non-living thing, and I am incredibly aware of its molecular structure. I can produce it with my quirk."

Katsuki growled as he realized this girl was going to be much more difficult to fight than he thought.

I could only dream of doing something like this before my memories came in, but since then, I am now capable of using my psions as fuel for my original quirk.

Momo wasn't done, as she then produced a shotgun with bean bag rounds and aimed it straight at Katsuki.

Shi-

Before Katsuki could dodge, Momo pulled the trigger, firing the gun at Katsuki. Predictably, Katsuki felt an unbelievable amount of pain from getting hit by multiple projectiles at once, but he persevered, and tried to launch an explosion at Momo. The girl was faster, though.

"Freeze Flame!" Momo cast a spell. Katsuki didn't know what happened until he realized that he couldn't launch his explosions. He felt that his arms were stiff and cold.

"I froze it. Your sweat." Momo explained. "That's how you produce your explosions, yes? I simply froze it to prevent you from doing those explosions of yours."

"You froze it?!"

"Yes. I have two quirks. How unfortunate for you, you have to fight quirkless now." the girl mocked Katsuki, remembering what Izuku told her about how he treated him because of his quirklessness. "Oh, and I also froze those gauntlets too. I'm not sure what they're for, but I'm sure they're some sort of support item."

Katsuki tried to confirm this by checking his gauntlets, only to find his sweat stored there frozen solid.

She's right, he has to fight quirkless now.

"Yaoyorozu-san." Momo heard from her headset. "I had successfully subdued Ojiro-san."

"Excellent work, Shinsou-san." she said, before turning to Katsuki, whose expression was now a mix of furious and scared. "It's time I take care of you, then. "

This moment would forever haunt Katsuki's nightmares. The moment he considered the worst moment of his life.

Momo glared at him with the most blank yet terrifying expression he has ever seen, and she uttered the words that would echo in his mind for a while.

"Niflheim."

"Freezing?" Denki asked. "So, like, Todoroki's ice quirk?"

"No." Shoto answered. "My power allows me to produce ice. However, her power is more closely related to freezing things. While closely related, they're not the same."

"But wouldn't she suffer the same problems you did when just using your ice quirk since she doesn't have fire to counteract it?" Kyouka asked. Shoto was still a little taken aback by the fact that he had now accepted using his fire, but he is going to move forward with it.

"I assume not. After all, it is simply freezing." Shoto replied. "Temperature has nothing to do with it, unlike my ice. She probably also has cold resistance as well."

They then watched as Momo froze Katsuki entirely with Niflheim, which surprised everyone.

"What did she do, All Might-sensei?" Eijiro asked.

"She used her Niflheim technique." All Might answered. "She essentially cools down an entire area uniformly, freezing everything within range, including the the air around them, like water vapor or even nitrogen."

The entire class, besides Izuku, then realized how terrifying Momo's new quirk is and, combined with her Creation quirk, makes her one of the most powerful students in the class.

"Damn." Eijiro summed up their feelings regarding Momo in one word.

On that day, the class made a silent oath to themselves.

Never piss off Midoriya and Yaoyorozu!

Notes:

And that is the end of the battle trials! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter!

I hope that you also liked Shoto's early development. Considering Tatsuya and Izuku's personalities, this is something that I think will likely happen had the fight with Shoto did happen, which is why I wrote it. I hope you all liked that change.

Once again, I hope you enjoyed the chapter!

Chapter 5: A Calm Before The Storm

Chapter 5: A Calm Before The Storm

"It's done." Izuku said to himself as he looked on at his accomplishment.

That is, the fully functional version of Momo's CAD.

It took quite some time and effort, but he managed to do it. It has been something that she had been concerned about ever since she was able to use her magic publicly. Fortunately, he was able to complete it before any more exams like the battle trials happen.

"I also managed to create the CAD for Flight magic as well." he muttered as he also stared at his other creation.

Frankly, he was very proud of basically inventing flight magic in his world. It was something that gave them a massive advantage during the Yokohama Incident, though he did not intend for flight magic to be exclusively used in combat purposes, and Miyuki looked especially happy to just be able to fly, something that also put a smile on his face.

"Hey, hey, hey, can you tell me how that CAD thing works now?!"

Ah, there's also Mei, who's been pestering him ever since she found out about the CAD. She called it a "work of art" when she saw it and was now truly desperate to even catch a hint of how one can build it. It was honestly bothering Izuku, something that he hadn't felt in a while.

There's no way CADs can be useful in this world unless it's for me or Momo. Unless...

The boy thought back to his theory regarding the connection between quirks and magic.

If I am right about my theory, then CADs doesn't only become ideal, it becomes necessary.

"Each CAD is designed specifically for a quirk, so I can't exactly give you the blueprint of the one I made for myself or Momo. I can give you this one though." Izuku said as he provided her with notes regarding how to make a generalized CAD, unlike his own CAD, which was specialized.

"Ooohhh, thank you, thank you, thank you! This is going to be so much fun making!" Mei said excitedly as she bolted towards a spare room to create more... "babies".

I admit, she is fun to be around, though she can stand to be more... social, and less hyperactive, too. I am probably the only one her who can actually catch up to her.

"Hey, what's it like being taught by All Might?"

I knew this was going to happen.

Izuku sighed internally as a mass of reporters swarmed towards him near the perimeter of UA the next day.  Due to his advice to the principal, the increased security around the school, like the UA Barriermade it hard for the reporters to approach the school, but they still somehow found a way to try and pester students about All Might.

"I'm a Support student." Izuku said, which made the reporters all back off in disinterest. Izuku thanked his plain appearance for being able to disguise himself as someone not from the Hero Course. Before he went on his way, though, he used his Elemental Sight to find any possible villain among the crowd who wanted to take advantage of the confusion. While he couldn't identify anyone using their quirks suspiciously for now, he decided to take note of all of the information regarding the crowd in case a villain was hiding amongst them.

After that, he went on his way.

While Izuku was walking towards his classroom of 1-A, he saw Shoto waiting for him in the hallway near the classroom.

"What is it, Shoto?" he asked.

"I have something to talk to you about, Izuku." the dual-colored haired boy said. "About why I was reluctant to use my fire."

Izuku raised his eyebrows but urged Shoto to continue.

"I... see." Izuku said, sighing in exasperation, anger, and sadness at the same time. He felt bad about the other boy. While his past life wasn't the most glamorous either, considering he was experimented and everything, he was at least never outright abused by his own family for something so... petty. It made him hate Endeavor, something that he never thought he would actually experience until now.

I never thought having emotions would be... exhausting.

"While I have indeed accepted using his fire, I still... hate seeing it." Shoto said as he looked at his left side.

"That's not his fire, Shoto, it's yours." Izuku said. "Remember that."

Shoto was surprised at this statement, but simply nodded in response as he began to remember that memory again with his mother. It was his fire, not Endeavor's. While he wouldn't have accepted such a thing before the Battle Trials, Izuku had changed his perspective on things.

"Don't be burdened by your past or your heritage. You need to simply move forward. If you really want to be a hero, then you need to let go of those feelings, and of that burden."

"But... I want to..."

"If you want to get back at Endeavor, then do it by becoming a different hero. A hero that you would be proud of, and a hero that he'll never be like. No, something that he could only dream of being like." Izuku said.

Shoto frowned, thinking about this advice. After a few seconds of this, he nodded.

"I will think about it." he said, before becoming quiet.

"I watched your performance during the battle trials, and I must say, good job." Shota praised his students as he began homeroom. "You all performed well enough, though, of course, there needs to be room for improvement."

The class nodded silently at their teacher's words.

"Today, you will all be doing something that will affect the rest of your lives here at this school." Shota continued.

The students tensed up at this. Considering Shota's reputation in the class, they had a sense of foreboding when he said those words.

Fortunately for them, what the teacher was actually going to say was surprisingly mundane.

"You will pick a class representative."

A totally normal school activity!

That was what most of the class thought.

"Since I don't like bothering with stuff like that, I'll just take a nap for now, and just tell me when you guys have finished." he said before slinking into his sleeping bag and instantly falling asleep.

A second later, the whole class had descended into chaos.

"Pick me as class representative!"

"Pick me instead."

"Why don't I become class representative instead?"

"No, it'll be me!"

"Please everyone, be silent!" Tenya shouted to the class. "We wouldn't be able to pick a class representative if we continue like this! Why don't we hold a voting system to see who would become Class Rep and Vice-Rep?"

"We all barely know each other, though. How can we vote effectively if we only know each other for a couple of days?" Kyouka asked.

"That is what would make a voting system effective." Izuku pointed out. "Whoever had gotten the trust of the class in such a short amount of time to get a vote from another person deserves to be Class Representative. To make it fairer, why don't we add a rule where we cannot vote on ourselves?"'

The class nodded at his idea and began distributing paper to write their votes on. After everyone casted their votes, Tenya took it upon himself to count the votes. The results were....

"Momo had the highest number of votes while I had the second highest, huh?" Izuku sighed.

This is a great result, though. Momo is great at leadership, so she would be perfect for the role of Class Representative.

He simply smiled at the result, which Momo did not fail to notice. It caused the girl to smile happily as well causing a sweet atmosphere to form around the two, which caused the girls in the class to squeal, while the boys were either just raising their eyebrows, chuckling, or not reacting at all.

"Congratulations on being elected as the Class Rep and Vice Rep, you two!" Ochako said to the reincarnated couple. Her, Izuku, Momo, and Tenya were walking towards the cafeteria to eat some lunch.

"Thank you, Uraraka-san." Momo replied.

"I honestly though that Iida-kun would win, considering that he looks suited for it."

"I believe otherwise! Both Midoriya-kun and Yaoyorozu-san are both more suited to be class representatives than I am!"

"Yeah, they're both really smart and strong!" Ochako said.

"Thank you for the praise, you two." Momo said.

"I want to ask a question I've been meaning to ask for a while now, Iida." Izuku said.

"What is it?"

"Are you related to the Turbo Hero: Ingenium?" the green-haired boy asked. Tenya smiled proudly at the mention of the hero.

"Yes. In fact, he is my older brother!" he answered. All of their eyes widened in surprise.

"Really? That's amazing!" Ochako said.

"Indeed. It must have been an honor being the younger brother of such a great hero." Izuku remarked. Tenya nodded.

"Yes! I admire him with every fiber of my being! He is the hero that I aspire to become in the future!" he said.

"We wish you good luck then, Iida-san." Momo said. "We are rooting for you."

"Thank you everyone!" the boy answered while bowing.

"Actually, I want to ask a question to you, Yaomomo." Ochako turned to the girl. "What's up with your other quirk?"

"What do you mean?" Momo was calm. She had a lifetime's experience worth of maintaining her composure in much worse situations, so a teenage girl asking an innocent question about her secret isn't going to faze her.

"I mean, you said that you awakened another quirk about 7 months ago, right?" she continued. "Do you know why that happened?"

"It is honestly still a mystery." she said. "One day, while I was trying to train my quirk in one of my family's private properties in the early morning, I began to see frost growing on trees, and the dew that formed on the leaves were frozen solid. I thought that there was another person on the property, and I prepared to call security, but then I realize that it was me freezing everything."

"So it just appeared out of nowhere?"

"Yes. It caused a lot of confusion in our family. In fact, my parents nearly divorced because they thought that the other had cheated on them until my DNA results came in and confirmed that I was truly related to both of them."

"Are your parents okay now?"

"Don't worry, they are doing fine now, though they are still incredibly confused about my second quirk, especially considering that none of my family members had a quirk that is even remotely similar to mine."

Of course, this entire story was a fabrication. After Momo had woken up with the memories of Shiba Miyuki, she immediately went to tell her parents. It took a while, but they believed her in the end, so the story she told Ochako was nowhere near close to the truth.

"How exactly does your second quirk work, Yaoyorozu-san?" Tenya asked. "All Might-sensei had explained that it was freezing things, but never explained specifics."

"My quirk allows me to freeze anything by decreasing the movements of atoms in the air. That is the simplest explanation I can give regarding my quirk." she said. "I don't exactly know the limits, but I do know that my quirk is capable of doing something horrifying."

"Horrifying?" Ochako asked.

"When my second quirk was tested on some rodents, the doctors discovered something terrifying." she answered. "When the rodent's brainwaves were shown, they were... frozen. They weren't inactive like if a living thing was dead. No, the brainwaves were simply still, unmoving. It's as if the very mind of the rodent was frozen to its last thoughts."

"Wait, does that mean...?!" Tenya seemed to realize what Momo meant.

"Yes, I can freeze the very soul of a living being, metaphorically of course. That is the extent of my quirk's power."

While Izuku was unfazed by this, both Tenya and Ochako shivered at the thought of someone's soul literally freezing. They swore to themselves to not cross either Izuku or Momo once more, and thanked whoever deity is out there that neither of these two wanted to be villains.

Before they can think about what they had just heard, the sirens started blaring and they saw the walls of the school starting to close in.

"What's happening?!"

"What's the alarm for?!"

"It's a Level 3 Alert for when villains invade the school!"

Immediately, everyone started to panic, and began stampeding to the exit. Both Momo and Izuku stayed calm, though.

"Momo, get everyone to calm down. I'll track down the villain that did this." Izuku said calmly, as he prepared to use One For All.

Momo stared apprehensively for a bit, but then nodded.

"Stay safe, Izuku."

The green-haired boy nodded, and immediately used Accel and One For All to rush towards where he can see the villain sneaking around the campus using Elemental Sight. Meanwhile, Momo turned to her two other companions as she quickly created a megaphone.

"Uraraka-san, please make Iida-san float, and Iida-san, can you use this to calm down everyone? It's just reporters that has breached the school." she said calmly as she looked at the crowd of reporters bolting towards the direction of the school.

"Yes!" both of them got to work as Momo handed over the megaphone to Tenya. The girl smiled as she admired how reliable her new friends were.

Izuku was currently running towards the villain who was responsible for this chaos with haste.

He had used his Elemental Sight to locate the villain, and he had found him currently deep within UA.

What a bold maneuver. The fact that the villain did such a thing must mean that they have a guaranteed escape route. Maybe a warp or a teleportation quirk of some kind? What are they after?

It didn't take long for him to find the villain, who was in an empty hallway. He was wearing a black hoodie and pants, while holding what looked like a piece of paper with only four of his fingers. His face was obscured, but he could distinctly see his hair, which was a grayish blue.

He's holding it with only four of his fingers? Maybe a five point touch activation quirk?

"A random NPC, huh? I'll punish you for interrupting my stealth run, you bastard."

Without warning, the man lunged at Izuku at high speeds, trying to touch his face. Unfortunately for him, Izuku was faster, and he easily dodged his attempt at harming him.

Acting quickly, Izuku used Decomposition to cut off the villain's outstretched hand, but the villain had fast reflexes, and managed to avoid Izuku's attack, though not completely as three of his fingers got cut off.

"AAAARRRGGHH! KUROGIRI!" the villain screamed in pain. Izuku felt that something was off, so he immediately jumped away from the villain. As he suspected, a portal appeared below the villain and where he once was, causing the villain to fall into the portal, while Izuku caught all of the severed fingers before they fell as well. The portal then closed, leaving Izuku alone in the hallway.

"This is bad..."

"You should really stop being so reckless, problem child."

Shota sighed as he heard Izuku's report. While it did shed some light about how the reporters managed to break the UA Barrier, a student had to recklessly endanger their lives in the process of getting such information. It frustrated him to no end.

"My apologies, but I had to act quickly."

"You didn't need to make decisions like that yet. You're still just a student." Shota argued.

"You think that this attack is just a prelude to something big?" Toshinori asked.

"Yes, sir, I am certain." Izuku said. "The villain stole something before running away."

"Principal Nezu said that the item that was stolen was a copy of the teacher's schedules." the pro hero Vlad King, Seikijiro Kan, remarked.

"They may attack UA at one point in the near future. We must be prepared." Cementoss nodded.

"Thank you for the information, Midoriya. You may leave." Ectoplasm said to the green haired boy. Izuku nodded his head and left. However, a lot of thoughts were running in his head.

We need to prepare. We may get caught up in whatever these guys are planning.

"Midoriya-chan, I tend to be blunt when I speak. I want to ask you something."

Class 1-A is currently on a bus the day after the reporters attacked, heading towards a new destination after their homeroom teacher had announced that they were going to have rescue training at another location. As they were relaxing, Tsuyu decided to ask Izuku about something that had been plaguing her mind ever since the Battle Trials.

"Sure, go ahead."

"How did you manage to stun Todoroki-chan during the Battle Trials?"

Izuku raised his eyebrows, not expecting that to be her question. Still, he dutifully answered it.

"I need to explain something about an aspect of my quirk first." he said. "You see, the way I destroy, restore, or rewrite phenomena is through particles known as psions. They're essentially non-physical manifestations of my cognizance and thought, born from my quirk. What I did to Shoto was a technique I call Resonate. I basically fire off two alternating waves of these psions, which creates interference. Since these psions are basically composed of meaningless information by itself, when these psion waves converge on a person, it will basically replicate a feeling akin to seasickness. That's how I stunned Shoto."

The bus fell silent at his explanation.

"Maybe you shouldn't have asked, Tsu-chan..." Toru said.

"You could have just said that you made him feel seasick, man." Denki said.

"Izuku is just fond of explaining his quirk to people." Momo giggled.

"I'm pretty sure you're the only one that can understand Midori's quirk, Yaomomo..." Mina groaned.

Momo blushed at what Mina had said. The rest of the class just laughed at her blushing.

The conversation then continued, with Eijiro complaining that he didn't have a flashy quirk, to Izuku praising his quirk, to the class insulting Katsuki for his abrasive attitude. Eventually they arrived at the training site, the Unforeseen Simulation Joint or the USJ.

"Good day to you, students!" A pro hero wearing a space suit greeted them.

"IT'S THIRTEEN!" Ochako shouted.

Izuku chuckled slightly, being reminded of his old self when he also reacts similarly to seeing a hero. It felt nostalgic to him.

The pro hero then explained that they were going to do a rescue simulation at the USJ, where they will be tested on various rescue situations to see how they'll do. Izuku was intrigued to see how he'll do, considering that rescuing people wasn't really his forte.

He then sighed when they said that All Might was supposed to be there, but because of some obligations, he couldn't do it. Izuku knew that the reason why he couldn't is because he ran out of time.

He and his classmates entered the building, and took in the sight of one of the most sophisticated rescue training facilities in Japan. Izuku felt himself smiling, as he took another step towards being a hero once more.

Unfortunately, as a dark purple portal appeared at the plaza of the USJ, things are about to get chaotic very soon.

Notes:

And that is the chapter! Nothing much really happens here, so this chapter would be pretty short compared to the other ones. USJ is next! Also, because I don't want to leave my readers hanging with a chapter where not much really happens, I am going to upload this, alongside all of the USJ chapters, all at once, so my apologies for the late update!

Chapter 6: Assault At USJ, Part 1

Summary:

Villains have attacked the USJ! Unfortunately for them, they're going to have a bad time. A really bad time.

Because two of the students that they were sent there to kill will not be messing around

Chapter 6: Assault At USJ, Part 1

"REAL VILLAINS!" Shota shouted.

The rest of the class tensed up at this declaration as dozens of villains poured out of the sinister purple portal. Izuku in particular had already activated One For All at his current maximum limit and was a second away from engaging all the villains, holding tightly to his CAD. Momo was the same as well.

"All Might isn't here?" A hoarse voice spoke up. Izuku turned to see the same villain that he had confronted yesterday leading the villains. He had fake hands covering his entire body, or are they all fake hands? He was being followed by a large, bird-like man who was almost the size of All Might.

"According to the schedule that we stole, All Might should be here with Eraserhead and Thirteen." Another voice, which belongs to a villain covered in purple mist, said.

"That's a shame. If I kill a couple of kids here, will the Symbol of Peace come?" the villain covered in hands said.

Most of the students become terrified by the villain's words.

"Aizawa-sensei, please give us permission to use our quirks!" Izuku said. The teacher took one good look at the horde of villains about to attack the students, then nodded.

"I am giving you all permission to use your quirks but make it a priority to evacuate from here." Shota said.

He then began to prepare to assault the villains, readying his capture gear and his goggles.

"Do you think you can handle that, sir? Fighting against a horde of enemies isn't exactly your forte..." Izuku asked his homeroom teacher.

"A pro-hero isn't a one trick pony." Shota said. "I know you're powerful, Midoriya, but it is my job to protect you as my student. Evacuate with the others. Thirteen, I leave my students in your hands!"

Even when Shota had already charged into the fray to deal with the villains, Izuku didn't move, unwilling to evacuate. He wanted to protect his fellow classmates as well, and he knows that he has the power to do such a thing.

Before he can manage to do anything more, the villain covered in purple mist, named Kurogiri, appeared in front of them. Thirteen instinctively moved in front of them to protect them.

So he was the user of the warp quirk that got the villain out of UA. I need to warn Thirteen.

"Thirteen! He's the warp quirk user! Don't use your quirk carelessly or he may use it against you."

Thirteen was impressed by the quick thinking of the green-haired boy, but elected to praise him for it later. For now, the space-themed hero needed to deal with the villain first.

"Good day, UA. We are the League of Villains, and we are here to kill All Migh-"

Before the villain can say anymore, Izuku used Resonate to incapacitate the villain, finding its main body with Elemental Sight.

"Thirteen, NOW!" Izuku said, as he continued firing the psion waves towards the villain, which caused them to lose concentration and prevent them from using their portals.

Thirteen, seeing an opportunity thanks to Izuku, used their quirk to suck in the villain.

"Damn... it, what is going on...?" the villain said weakly. He was startled by the fact that a UA student managed to easily incapacitate him like that.

What kind of quirk does this boy have?

"Don't hog in all the fun, Midoriya!" Katsuki, frustrated at not doing anything, decided to charge in to finally subdue the warp quirk user, also realizing that the villain also had a body that would be vulnerable to attack.

"We need to subdue this guy now that Midoriya and Thirteen-sensei have cornered him!" Eijiro also got the same idea and charged in as well.

"Bakugou, NO!" Izuku shouted as the other boy launched himself towards the villain. Izuku had no choice but to turn off Resonate to prevent Katsuki from getting caught up in it.

Kurogiri, sensing an opportunity, decided to fight back.

"You are indeed the golden eggs of UA, but your foolishness will cost you! Suffer and perish!"

The villain began opening a portal behind Thirteen to incapacitate the hero as well as target the students, but Izuku, thinking quickly, used Gram Demolition to quickly shut down the portal, much to the shock of Kurogiri.

"Wha-" Kurogiri tried to open more portals, but Izuku shut them down each time, much to the frustration of the villain.

"You brat!" the villain shouted as he tried to catch Izuku off-guard with a portal from behind, but Izuku simply erased it again with his Gram Demolition.

I could use Mist Dispersion to take care of the warp quirk user, but I don't want to traumatize my classmates with the death of a villain.

"Bakugou, Kirishima, move away from there and let us handle this!" The two reluctantly followed the orders of the teacher. Meanwhile, seeing an opportunity, Izuku activated One For All, and prepared an attack.

"Burst Wave!" the boy fired a massive shock wave at the villain, while making sure that Thirteen, Katsuki, and Eijiro were out of the way, incapacitating him and sending him flying towards the USJ central plaza.

Since the villain had been driven away from now, most of the class heaved a sigh of relief. Izuku quickly approached Momo and Thirteen, who are close one another.

"There are villains hiding on each of the zones in the USJ, I saw them with my quirk." he said. In truth, he saw them with Elemental Sight just as he was looking for the warp villain's main body. "I suspect that the original intent of the villain just now was to divide us and warp us into each of the zones to be picked off by the villains hiding there while we're unprepared. I also assume that that big monster is their weapon against All Might."

Both the hero and the reincarnation of Shiba Miyuki were shocked to hear the news. Momo, acting quickly, began to issue orders to the class.

"Iida-san, I need you to run out of the USJ and inform our teachers of what is happening here. Anyone in the class who are suited to combat or wants to fight, come with me and Izuku towards the central plaza to assist Aizawa-sensei on fighting the villains in the plaza, as well as those spread out in the USJ. Make sure we split up into little groups and fight in the zones best suited for our quirks."

"That's reckless!" Thirteen reprimanded Momo. "All of you should evacuate out of here right now!"

"If we did, you and Aizawa-sensei would be facing over a hundred villains, their leader with a possibly dangerous quirk, and their weapon against All Might." Izuku replied. "We refuse to let you die."

"You are all future heroes, and it is our job as your teachers to protect-"

"What kind of future heroes would we be if we let our teacher die like that?"

Izuku and Thirteen stared each other for a few seconds, before the pro-hero sighed.

"I can't believe I am about to let you do this..." Thirteen said. "Do what you want, I'll protect the students that have been left behind here."

"Thank you." Izuku said, activating One For All.

"I am not going to leave you all behind!" Tenya insisted.

"You are not leaving us behind, Iida-san. You are simply going to call for reinforcements. With your speed, you are incredibly qualified for this role. Let the rest of us handle the villains."

Tenya sighed, but he simply ran towards the front gate without saying a word, determined to save his classmates.

As Izuku saw this, he used both One For All and Accel to charge towards the horde of villains that Shota had been fighting for the past few minutes. He then crashed right in the middle of a horde attacking Eraserhead, and the shockwave from Izuku's landing sent a lot of villains away.

Momo also decided to charge into the battlefield by riding a motorcycle that she had created with her quirk, Katsuki used his explosions to propel himself forward, Shoto uses both his fire to also propel himself and his ice to glide towards the battle. Rikido, Fumikage, Eijiro, Mina, Shinsou, Hanta, Denki, and Mashirao all ran towards the plaza as well, although they weren't as fast as the others.

"What the hell?!" one of the villains tried to attack the boy, only to be met by an OFA-enhanced punch from him, knocking him out. Izuku put hist two CADs at their holster, and charged up his quirk.

I cannot rely too much on my magic, I need to use the power I inherited from All Might as well!

"What are you doing here, problem child?" Shota asked as he knocked out a few more villains with his capture gear.

"I came to help." Izuku simply said, as he disappeared from sight and knocked out a few villains himself. Eraserhead sighed.

"Fine." Shota muttered, resigned to the fact that he cannot stop Izuku from interfering.

"It's that brat that cut off my fingers... He also knocked out Kurogiri as well... Nomu, kill him!" the leader said. The monster obeyed its master's orders, and attacked Izuku.

The boy, who had just kicked another villain down, avoided the Nomu's strike with ease, and counterattacked, punching the Nomu in the stomach. Unfortunately, the monster was unfazed by the attack, and he had to use Accel to avoid another attack from him.

"Shock absorption, huh?" Izuku said. The leader of the villains laughed.

"That's right. This is the Nomu, the weapon built to kill the Symbol of Peace. He has a shock absorption quirk, so your puny little punches aren't going to do anything to him!" he boasted.

"Is that so?" Izuku then used an Activation Sequence. "Then that means your Nomu is still vulnerable to piercing or cutting damage, right?"

The monster charged at Izuku again, but the boy remained unfazed, and simply used the spell he hoped that he didn't have to use.

"Rail Gun!"

"Come on, you damn villains! I'll beat the shit out of you!"

Katsuki was currently in the Conflagration Zone when he separated from the group, by the request of Momo, blowing up a bunch of villains with ruthless efficiency.

"Well said, Bakugou!" Eijiro shouted in elation as he continued bashing the villains with his fist, using his hardening quirk. Katsuki looked at this and grinned ferally.

"You're not bad, Shitty Hair!" he said as he blasted another villain who tried to sneak up from behind him.

"My name is Kirishima! And you're pretty manly as well, Bakugou!" the red-haired boy replied as he continued bashing his enemies. "I'm wondering why you followed Class Rep's orders so easily, though."

Katsuki lightly flinched at this but didn't say anything as he continued blasting the villains to oblivion.

Eijiro had suspected that the reason why he followed her orders like that was because he was scared of her, but considering Katsuki's personality, he knew that the boy would never admit it.

I mean, I would be scared too if I was frozen like that and rendered helpless so easily. Man, Yaoyorozu is manly and scary at the same time.

He would never say this in front of the girl, though. He was aware of the disastrous consequences of angering Momo after all.

"W-W-W-What the hell kind of monster is that?!" one villain exclaimed.

"Hey! That's rude." the "monster", who was actually Fumikage's Dark Shadow, knocked out the villain. Both him and Mashirao had went straight to the Downpour Zone, judging that they would be highly effective in fighting in the environment due to the dark environment.

"I've taken care of the other villains, Tokoyami-san." Mashirao called out as he brought some knocked out villains.

"We need to be quick and decisive so we can rejoin our comrades." Fumikage remarked as more villains came out.

"Yeah, you're right." Mashirao said as he maneuvered out of the way of enemies trying to attack him, then knocking them out with his tail.

"Yeah, let's crush these guys!" Dark Shadow happily said as the quirk began decimating more villains that came to assault them.

"You guys want to kill All Might, yet you can't even defeat a teenager like me? You are all pathetic."

Shoto glared at the villains currently frozen with his ice. He had headed towards the landslide zone without much hesitation alone, knowing that he can probably handle things here all on his own. He used his fire side to warm himself up, then froze some other villains headed his way.

"H-H-He's not just some brat! He's dangerous!"

"Damn it, I can't move!"

"H-How the hell did this monster already defeat all of us?!"

"Heh." Shoto couldn't help but scoff, showing slight emotion on his usually stoic face. "If you think I'm a monster, you clearly haven't met him yet."

He slightly glance back at the direction of the plaza, where Izuku was fighting.

I'm sure you have things handled, Izuku.

"S-Scary." Mina muttered as she looked at Momo in both awe and horror.

Why? Well, because she managed to subdue the villains in the flood zone with absolute ease by freezing the waters there. Her cold and apathetic gaze were directed at all the villains in the water, their bodies completely frozen.

When the two entered the Flood Zone after beating the villains in the Ruins Zone with ease, Momo immediately saw all of the villains trying to get out of the water to attack them. However, she was much faster, and she showed them her unbelievable power.

"Glacial Age."

Those two words spelled the doom of the villains, as the entire Flood Zone was frozen solid. All of the villains couldn't move even a single inch, unable to do anything but stare in horror at the girl who did this to them.

Momo had singlehandedly defeated all the villains once more, without even having to lift a finger.

"You know, at least these guys didn't end up like the ones in the Ruins Zone..." Mina muttered again as she remembered what happened to the villains there.

"W-What did you say, Yaomomo?" Mina stuttered as she was processing what her classmate just told her.

"I froze their souls. They wouldn't be able to harm anyone from now on." Momo replied.

"F-Froze their... souls?"

"Yes, that is the extent of my quirk's ability to freeze things."

Even though it wasn't actually that cold, Mina shivered, looking at the horrified expressions of the villains, completely still and unmoving, as if they're stuck there, not being able to escape their torment. In that moment, the girl was really glad that Momo wants to be a hero.

"Let us go and assist Izuku in the plaza. We're done here." Momo said coolly.

"U-Uh, yeah! Let's go, Yaomomo!"

With that, both of the girls left towards the center, where a fierce battle was still raging.

"Damn it! We've been had!" Hanta cried out in frustration.

"Now then, why don't you surrender or your friend will get it!" a villain menacingly smirked as he pointed a weapon at an incapacitated Denki.

Hanta, Denki, Rikido, and Shinsou all made it to the Mountain Zone and they started battling the villains. While they were struggling, Denki had the idea to knock out all of the villains using his electricity. While it did work, it also left him vulnerable as his brain short-circuited, causing him to be taken advantage by a villain that had been hiding. Now, it is up to the other three to save him.

"What do we do?" Rikido looked at the other two as the villain demanded their surrender.

"I have an idea." Shinsou whispered to the two as he walked towards the villain.

"Hey now, why don't we calm down?" Shinsou said.

"Heh, you just need to surre-" the villain couldn't continue as his eyes turned blank.

"Great, now let go of my classmate and don't move." the purple-haired boy smirked slightly as the brainwashed villain quickly let go of Denki. "Sero, you can capture him now."

"Damn, your quirk's really cool, man. You made this so easy." Hanta praised as he wrapped his tape around the villain.

"Thank you." Shinsou almost teared up at someone complimenting his quirk, however he put those feelings aside for now as he needed to assist the others in defeating the villains.

"YOU BRAT!" the leader of the villains shouted angrily. "HOW THE HELL ARE YOU WINNING?! THE NOMU WAS CREATED TO KILL ALL MIGHT!"

After all, he was witnessing his most powerful minion getting destroyed by a student of UA.

When he fired that Rail Gun, the projectile pierced through the Nomu's heart with ease, causing the monster to stumble. The hole suddenly regenerated though, as the leader cackled, boasting about the Nomu's regeneration quirk, hoping to demoralize the student.

What he didn't expect was not only was the boy unfazed by the threat, but he then proceeded to attack the Nomu relentlessly, either through Rail Gun or by Decomposition, as he cut off the limbs of the Nomu more than once.

What infuriated him more was the fact that the boy just kept evading Nomu's attacks without much difficulty, even with the speed of the creature.

Izuku knew that the monster was nothing more than a mindless beast, so he knew that its movements would be fairly simple and straightforward, so it was easy for him to dodge its attacks.

"Damn it! You goddamn hacker! I'll kill you!" the leader scratched his neck in anger.

"Shigaraki... Tomura..." Kurogiri began to wake up from being knocked out by Izuku.

"You're finally awake, Kurogiri. Did you manage to kill Thirteen before you got knocked away here?"

"Unfortunately not. I wasn't able to use her attack against her because that boy kept destroying my portals. It also seems like one of the students have escaped to call for reinforcements."

The leader, Tomura, began scratching his neck again.

"Damn you, Kurogiri. If you weren't our getaway plan, I would have already dusted you..." the villain then glared hatefully at the boy that has been ruining his plans all this time, and charged at him, hoping to disintegrate him.

Izuku, who was still fighting the Nomu, couldn't avoid his attack in time, and he got touched in the face by Tomura. Shota also saw this, and quickly tried to protect his student, but he also got touched in the arm by the leader.

"Finally! I managed to get rid of you! And Eraserhead, too!" the villain said gleefully as he watched Izuku's face slowly crumble. The boy retreated quickly retreated with Shota.

"Nomu! Finish them off!" the monster followed its master's orders without hesitation, and tried to kill the two, but Izuku simply cut off the arm of the Nomu again. The monster screamed in agony as Izuku used his Decomposition to cut off one of its legs, then used Oscillation Mine to trap the Nomu.

He stared at Shigaraki with resolve, his face clearly intact and unblemished, much to the shock and anger of Tomura.

"How?! I saw your face crumble!" he shouted in disbelief. He then turned to Shota, whose arm was also completely fine.

"Your Nomu is not the only one here who has regeneration." Izuku lied, making the villain believe his power was regeneration and not restoration. This infuriates the villain leader.

"You have a DPS build, yet you're also a goddamn healer?! YOU FUCKING HACKER!" Tomura screamed.

Before they can continue their fight, the front gates of the USJ got blown off its hinges, and an intimidating figure comes in, ready to exact justice on those who were trying to harm his students.

"Do not worry anymore, young ones! I AM HERE!"

Notes:

And that is the end of Part 1! The villains are having their asses kicked, and now All Might shows up! This will definitely not going to be great for the villains.

Also, Momo shows once again that you do not mess with her!

Thank you all for reading this fic, and I hope you enjoyed this chapter!

As for Gram Demolition, since I basically established that magic and quirks are practically related here, I made it so that Gram Demolition, and any Counter Magic for that matter, works against quirks to some extent.

Would that make Eraserhead irrelevant? No. After all, it's not like Izuku is only going to use Counter Magic all the time.

Chapter 7: Assault At USJ, Part 2

"ALL MIGHT!"

The students who stayed at the entrance were all relieved to see the Number One Hero enter the premises. When their classmates rushed to the plaza, they were nervous. Even though they were all strong, they were still going to fight actual villains that want to kill them. That's why the appearance of the Symbol of Peace had given them extaordinary amount of relief.

"Are you alright, students?" All Might asked the students.

"Yes, we're alright." Ochako nodded. "Midoriya-kun made sure that we weren't harmed by the villain."

"I see. I must thank Young Midoriya later. Where is he, and rest of your classmates?"

"They all went in to help Aizawa-sensei in dealing with the villains."

All Might sighed at the recklessness of the students, but they knew that there was nothing he can do to stop them since they were already there.

"They're all okay." Mezo stated as he used his quirk to locate where his classmates are. "They have all handled the villains."

"Then I must do my duty as a hero and bring these villains to justice!"

The hero then used his overwhelming strength and speed to instantly appear in the plaza and subdue many of the villains. Tomura, who saw the hero appear, glared at the hero.

"You're finally here, All Might. We're getting a continue, after all." the leader said hoarsely. "Nomu... come and do what you were supposed to do!"

The monster, who had now fully regenerated, ran towards All Might with blinding speed, but the hero managed to catch his fist before it reached him, causing a slight shockwave from the force of the punch being stopped.

"All Might!" Izuku shouted. "That thing has multiple quirks! Shock absorption and super regeneration, though I also suspect that it has more!"

"Thank you for the information, Young Midoriya!" While All Might was unsettled by the information that the Nomu had multiple quirks, he decided to file it back in his mind for now, as he was more determined to stop these villains from doing any more harm.

Izuku then approached All Might and began using Regrowth on him to restore him back to his full strength for the day, though he did this discreetly to make sure the villains didn't notice a thing. Izuku also secretly inserted some of his psions at All Might to strengthen the embers of One For All inside of him.

"Young Midoriya..." All Might tried to stop him, but Izuku shook his head.

"I insist. You need to be at your top condition if you want to fight that thing. Besides, it isn't that painful."

All Might sighed again as he felt his strength returning to him. He then readied himself, and ran towards the Nomu.

The two then began to clash soon afterwards, with All Might gaining the upper hand. Even though All Might had no way of damaging the Nomu the way Izuku was, he was still able to push back the monster due to its mindless nature.

The Nomu tried to punch All Might with a left hook, but the hero quickly blocked it and countered with a punch of his own. Unfortunately, the shock absorption of the monster prevented the hero from doing any lasting damage.

This didn't stop him though, and he continued pummeling the monster with heavy punches, intent on incapacitating it.

The Nomu was just as relentless as All Might, as it roared an inhuman screech as it continued attacking All Might, faithfully following its orders to kill the Symbol of Peace. The thing tried kicking, scratching, punching, even biting the hero, but All Might was incredibly determined.

All Might was thankful to Izuku for restoring his time limit, though he did feel guilty for making the boy do it. After all, even when he was in his best condition, he still felt a dull pain from his injuries, and that was for about three hours straight, plus the few minutes that he had spent with Principal Nezu. He shuddered to think about what would happen if all of that pain had been compressed to a few seconds, which made him feel guilty. He decided to pay back Izuku restoring him by making sure to keep everyone there safe, just as he had always done.

All Might then tried to grab the Nomu to punch it in the head, but the Nomu punched him right at his injury, causing him to stumble back. Before the Nomu could do anything more to attack the hero, someone swooped in to save him.

"Niflheim!"

Frost appeared on the Nomu as it began to struggle moving. Eventually, it wasn't able to move any longer, and it became very still.

"I will not allow you to harm Izuku's mentor."

Momo had arrived on the scene.

"Now then, I should deal with those two."

While All Might was dealing with the Nomu, Izuku turned his attention to the other two major villains in the plaza, Tomura and Kurogiri.

"We need to be careful, Shigaraki Tomura. This boy can destroy my portals."

"I am aware of-" Before the villain can say any more, Izuku used Accel to instantly get close to Tomura and punch him straight in the gut.

"Tokyo Smash!" Izuku shouted as Tomura was sent flying. Kurogiri tried to use his portals to try and soften the leader's landing, but Izuku erased it with Gram Demolition before Tomura can enter it, causing the villain to land roughly a few meters away.

"You're a fast one, you damn brat..." the villain got up on his feet, but Izuku was already onto him. The warp quirk user tried to protect him again by opening a portal in front of Izuku, but in a stunning display of reflexes, Izuku fired another shot of Gram Demolition at the portal, quickly destroying it, before sending another jab at Tomura's torso.

"Saitama Smash!" Izuku shouted again as he landed another blow at the villain, sending him flying once more. Kurogiri tried to trap him by opening a portal beneath him, but Izuku quickly destroyed that as well before he was even able to fall in.

This boy's reflexes are incredible. This is not good for us.

Izuku used Resonate to try and incapacitate Kurogiri before he managed to create a portal, and then he proceeded to charge Tomura, who tried to touch him with his arm. However, it was the arm where Izuku cut his fingers off, so when the villain touched his face again, the quirk didn't work. This gave Izuku the chance to kick his torso, sending him flying once more.

"Kyoto Smash!

Kurogiri managed to get himself out of the Resonate spell, and began supporting Tomura. The two tag-teamed Izuku, with the warp quirk user trying to open portals to allow Tomura to reach him, but the boy dodged them all, even managing to land hits on the two villains, much to their frustration.

"You goddamn cheater!" Tomura screamed as he tried to disintegrate Izuku's left arm. He succeeded, but the arm immediately returned to normal, and punched him again with a Tokyo Smash. Izuku then pointed his CAD at Kurogiri.

"Phantom Blow!" a concussive force of psions hit Kurogiri right at his body, causing him to be briefly knocked out. Tomura charged at Izuku again, touching his shoulder, but a Burst Wave sent him flying again, and Regrowth quickly restored his disintegrating shoulder.

Doing this non-lethally is harder than I thought. Still, I need to make sure that they stay alive. I am certain that this Shigaraki is not the true leader of this operation, someone is controlling him from the shadows. We need to find out who they are through these two.

"Shigaraki Tomura, are you alright?" Kurogiri said as he regrouped with the villain leader.

"His punches hurt like hell..." Tomura hoarsely remarked. "I'm going to kill him..."

The two then charged together at Izuku. The boy sensed that they were planning something, so he raised his guard. As Tomura approached him to disintegrate him again, Kurogiri opened a portal from behind Izuku as the boy retreated backwards. Another Gram Demolition destroyed it. However, another portal appeared in the same position, and Izuku didn't have enough time to dodge or destroy it, so he decided to jump into the portal.

I know what they're trying to do here. In that case, I need to prepare for a little pain.

With that, he jumped horizontally to the portal, making sure that he passed through as quickly as possible. When his body was halfway through the portal, Kurogiri spoke.

"I didn't want to stain my portals with blood, but getting rid of a hindrance like you is of utmost priority."

After that, Kurogiri closed the portal, cutting Izuku's body from the waist down.

"Young Yaoyorozu!"

All Might exclaimed at the appearance of Momo. She was staring determinedly at the frozen form of the Nomu, as if watching its every move.

"It's not over yet, All Might-san. I came to help you." Momo said as she looked at the Nomu, who was about to break out of the frozen state it was put in. Momo intentionally held back, knowing that if she froze the Nomu hard enough, they wouldn't be able to find any solid clues as to who was behind this entire incident.

Due to its mindless nature, I doubt I can use Cocytus. Luna Strike would also be useless. Maybe Inferno...

All Might then prepared himself to fight once more as the Nomu was freed from its frozen state. Its inhuman roar signaled the start of the rematch against the two massive combatants. However, Momo decided to tilt the scales in All Might's favor.

"Deceleration Zone! Zone Interference!"

Izuku had mentioned to her his theory that quirks and magic are parallel evolutions of each other and are related. Because of this, Izuku also stated that it is possible for Counter Magic methods to work against quirks.

With this in mind, Momo proceeded to use Zone Interference to shut down the Nomu's use of its quirks. She also used Deceleration Zone to slow down the Nomu, even just moderately. She knew that All Might was safe from her Counter Magic due to the fact that, despite having the embers of One For All, the pro hero was essentially quirkless. It is basically similar to Non-Systematic Magic, which uses psions by itself, and Zone Interference does not affect that kind of magic, which means that All Might is safe from the effects of the spell.

Momo's support worked wonders, as the Nomu couldn't fight as well as last time. With its speed slowed and all of its quirks disabled, it can only fight with its natural strength. While it is still somewhat equal to All Might in that regard, its true power lies in its combination of quirks, which had basically been disabled. That meant that All Might was now at an advantage.

The two then clashed, with their fists delivering mighty force upon the other. Of course, due to the fact that the shock absorption is gone, the Nomu was steadily being dealt a lot of damage, which was too much for its body to handle. It wouldn't take long for the fight to tilt in the favor of All Might.

This showed when the Nomu was sent violently flying by All Might's Carolina Smash. Thankfully, Momo had extended her range to the point that when the Nomu landed, it was still inside the range of the Zone Interference. All Might then ran towards the monster and proceeded to pummel it to the ground. His blows shook the entire battlefield, as he rained blow after blow after blow at the Nomu. With its shock absorption and regeneration practically gone, the Nomu couldn't recover, and it couldn't launch an effective counterattack. After a few minutes of this, All Might stopped, raising his blood-soaked fists and staring down at the bloodied remains of his enemy. He didn't know whether or not the thing was dead, but he didn't want to take any chances and asked Momo to freeze the thing with Niflheim. She gladly obliged the request, freezing the monster completely.

With her job done, she glanced at Izuku's battle, just in time to see him get cut in half.

She briefly panicked, but then after remembering Regrowth, just sighed at Izuku's recklessness.

Tomura was elated once more, seeing the hated nuisance get cleaved in half by the portal. Satisfied by what he saw, he then started to turn towards the direction of All Might. Now all he had to do is support Nomu's fight with All Might, then-

"Where are you looking?"

Before he can even react, he was once again punched in the face by Izuku. He glanced at Izuku's lower half, and found it completely intact.

"HOW?! THE PORTAL SHOULD HAVE CUT YOU IN HALF!"

Tomura was panicking now. He had thought that the boy would be killed by his body literally getting severed in two, but he was just fine. His clothes were also back to where it was.

Wait, if his power is regeneration, then he shouldn't even have those clothes on him. And besides, the speed in which those damaged parts are repaired make no sense if it was only regeneration. Does that mean...?

Tomura began to scratch at his neck again as he found the answer.

"You bastard... Your power isn't regeneration at all. It's restoration." he said. "You restore things to a previous state, that's what you're doing. That's why you're regrowing all those damaged parts so fast. Damn it, you have a counter to my quirk. It's so damn annoying..."

"Maybe we should-"

"Cut my head? I won't recommend it." Izuku cut off Kurogiri. "My restoration is practically instantaneous. Whether I got shot in the head or the heart, got impaled in the stomach, or even if my spine is removed, I can restore it. The only one who can kill me is me."

Izuku then pointed both of his CADs at the two villains.

"Now then, what are you two going to do?"

Both of the villains didn't move. Tomura just scratched his neck faster, while Kurogiri narrowed his eyes at Izuku.

This student is way more troublesome than I thought.

Before they can act again, a gun shot rang out of the plaza, causing the villains to freeze. On the area near the entrance of USJ, the pro-heroes of UA stood there proudly, ready to save the students of their school.

"Shigaraki Tomura!" Kurogiri shouted and instantly erected many portals, both to escape and to block Izuku's attempt at destroying the portals. Izuku didn't do anything, though. He simply glared at the two villains.

"I swear I'll be back to kill you, All Might. You and that brat." Tomura said as he entered the portal, disappearing silently.

This is just the beginning it seems. I need to be ready for this.

"All Might-sensei, do you know anything about who may have orchestrated the incident?"

It was a day after the events of USJ, and Izuku and All Might, who was now in his skinny form of Toshinori, went to Dagobah Beach to talk about yesterday's events.

"I do have an idea, Young Midoriya, but I honestly can't believe that it's him."

"Why would you say that?"

"Because I killed him with these hands."

Izuku nodded at this information, as he looked back to the aftermath of the USJ battle.

After the two villains retreated, the rest of the teachers scoured the USJ to clean up the remaining villains, and pick up the students fighting on the zones. While the rest of the students were relieved, Katsuki raged at not even having fought the elite villains that invaded. The students were all quickly ushered out of the premises, and were given two days off to rest and recuperate after a stressful event. Thankfully, no one was injured severely, though it can be argued that Izuku was and he just restored his body. Regardless, since no one was seriously hurt, it had been determined that the students only needed therapy in case they had any trauma regarding the incident. For now, they all rested.

"So who is this person, All Might?" Izuku asked. "Is it someone that can steal and give quirks to people?"

Toshinori was surprised that he had the right guess, so he asked.

"How did you guess that correctly?"

"Well, the Nomu had multiple quirks. That shouldn't be normally possible, unless someone gave it those quirks. There's already a precedent for quirks that can be given, with the existence of One For All. It's not... unlikely."

All Might nodded, impressed by the boy's intelligence.

"Very well, then. It's time to tell you the tale of two brothers..."

All Might told him the story of One For All and All For One. Izuku was fascinated by the tale, as well as the history of quirks in this world, reminding him of the discrimination magicians faced back on his world. After All Might was finished with the story, Izuku sighed.

"I am sure that this All For One figure is still alive. After all, with the hundreds of quirks that he had, he probably had one that gives him the power to regenerate or revive or something like that."

"You're right, Young Midoriya. I should have considered this." Toshinori nodded. "We need to be vigilant. That bastard is cunning and sadistic, so we need to be careful."

"I guess I'll have to talk to the vestiges about him, then."

"Ah, I see, so you have met them already."

"The quirk hit singularity early due to my psions. They said that I would be able to inherit their quirks in the future. "

"Is that so? Then I will assist you as best as I can in learning them." Toshinori said.

"Thank you." Izuku expressed his gratitude to his mentor. Meanwhile though, a thought popped up in his head.

I really need to hang out with Momo sometime.

Notes:

And that is the end of the USJ battle! What did you think? I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and thank you all for your support!

Chapter 8: Izuku and Momo

"Did you wait long, Momo?"

Izuku, who had just arrived at their meeting spot, addressed the girl he'd been wanting to hang out with for quite some time now. She shook her head.

"No, I have just arrived here, actually." she said.

A day has passed since the meeting with All Might, and now, Izuku had requested to meet with Momo in order to both relax and discuss about things between them.

Izuku really needed this day of relaxation considering that he pulled an all-nighter last night, trying to test a hypothesis of his.

As they began walking through the park, it was Momo who spoke first.

"Has All Might-san told you about who may be responsible for the USJ Assault?"

Izuku knew she was going to ask this question, which is why he asked All Might if he can tell her about All For One, and he readily agreed.

"He has." Izuku replied. "Apparently, it was a villain known as All For One. He had the power to give and take quirks."

"All For One? Is that related to your One For All quirk?"

"One For All came from him. In fact, the first user of One For All was All For One's younger brother." Izuku revealed.

"That is... incredible." Momo said. "You're inheriting quite the legacy."

"It is a lofty legacy." Izuku nodded. "Still, all I ever wanted in this life was to be a hero and save people, so I do not really mind it."

"Hero, huh? In all honesty, that is the one thing I never expected you to become, Izuku." Momo said while chuckling.

"I can't believe it either, but when I regained my memories, my desire to be a hero just... burned brighter, I guess." Izuku remarked. "With all this power in my fingertips, I just became even more eager to become a hero that will save everyone I can. What about you, though? What made you want to become a hero?"

Momo fell silent at this, seeming to ponder the question.

"There's really no deep reason for it. I just wanted to save and help people as well. "I have this amazing talent, so I should use it for the benefit of everyone.". That is the philosophy of Yaoyorozu Momo. When my memories came in, that philosophy never really changed. I still wanted to be a hero."

After that, silence set in as the two continued their walk. This time, it was Izuku who broke the silence.

"It's been a long time, hasn't it? Since we were able to walk peacefully like this." Izuku said. "Even after we got married, we never got the opportunity to simply relax like this."

"Yeah, we were so busy with all the matters in the Yotsuba clan, and you were also busy managing FLT, too!" Momo replied. "The days where we can relax were really scarce."

"It was very overwhelming." Izuku said. "I wonder if we can relax like this once we become heroes too."

"I highly doubt it." Izuku said. "We are going to be saving people and dealing with criminals on a near daily basis, after all."

"That is true." Momo nodded. "We picked a difficult line of work, didn't we?"

"Yes, but it's nothing new to us." Izuku replied. "Putting our life on the line is something that we did near constantly back then as well."

"At least we have each other, both then and now." Momo smiled, and Izuku smiled back.

"Yeah, we have each other, Momo. Always."

Momo felt indescribable joy seeing that smile. This was something that he had been waiting for a long time to see. Even if it was in a different face, in a different body, the one that she loved for most of her life is smiling now.

Izuku changed his expression into something serious, and Momo realized that they were about to have a serious discussion.

"Anyway, I want to ask, is it possible for you to produce support items using your quirk? You must have tried something like that, considering who your family is." Izuku asked.

"As long as it isn't a living thing, I can create it. The blueprints for support items are extremely complicated, though, so it takes a long time for me before I am able to create them."

"I actually have this idea regarding your quirk." Izuku said. "You know that CADs can actually affect quirks, right?"

"Yes."

"Well, I have this hypothesis. If I managed to convert the blueprints of an item into a magic sequence, then make an activation sequence out of it and put it in your CAD, it would make it easier for you to create items, especially complicated ones like support items."

"Do you think that's possible?" Momo asked.

"It's likely, but I haven't really tried it much yet. I am still trying to convert the blueprints of objects into magic sequences, so it will take some time."

This was actually the hypothesis that Izuku had been working on last night.

"Ah, I see. I'm looking forward to the results, then, Izuku!"

Even though she reincarnated as another person, she is still so beautiful...

Izuku couldn't help but smile internally as he stared at Momo's face.

I swear, I will never let her go. Never.

"I finally did it!"

The loud and energetic voice of Mei rang throughout the entire laboratory. Izuku, who was modifying his own CAD, groaned slightly at the loud inventor.

"I thought it would take you longer." Izuku remarked as she celebrated.

"It would be foolish of you to underestimate me, Midoriya Izuku!" she said. "It was difficult, but I managed to pull through!"

After Izuku had given her the CAD blueprints after the battle trials in their support class, Mei worked day and night to build it based on his notes. Four days later, she managed to replicate it, though admittedly it was still a prototype.

"Make sure that doesn't explode, Hatsume." Izuku warned her.

"You don't understand Midoriya! All those explosions are nothing more than momentary setbacks, and I will not let them hinder me!" she said.

You missed my point...

The girl then tried to use the CAD for her own quirk, to... some success.

While it did manage to actually accelerate the activation time of her quirk, she ran into another problem.

CADs are designed around magic, not quirks, and although both are very similar, they have one distinct difference.

Magic is centered around the brain, while quirks are centered around the body. This means that CADs have a certain flaw in them that makes it risky for them to be used for quirk usage, since they're focused on the brain of the user instead of the body.

This means that while it does work on quirks, it will also overload a brain that isn't used to CAD usage.

Izuku realized this flaw as well when he saw Mei's eyes bleeding from the overload caused by the CAD.

"Stop using the CAD, Hatsume!" he shouted before snatching the prototype out of her. He then immediately used Regrowth on her to save her, momentarily wincing at the pain.

"I see. The CAD enhances mental functions, which in turn enhances the activation time of quirks and other basic quirk functions, but because it is focused around the brain, anyone that doesn't have the mental fortitude or training to withstand the overload caused by the quirks will cause brain damage!" Mei said, as if she wasn't on the verge of suffering that fate had Izuku not saved her.

Izuku just sighed at the lack of a sense of self-preservation from this girl.

"I should have considered this when I was giving you those notes, sorry." Izuku said. "My quirk is mental based, you see. I shouldn't have overlooked this detail."

"We all make mistakes, Midoriya!" Mei said as she continued fiddling with the prototype. "No matter how much of a genius we are, we will still make mistakes!"

That honestly makes sense. I never thought this girl would actually give some good advice. I guess I gave her less credit than she deserved.

"You're right." Izuku said. "Make sure that you take better care of yourself, Hatsume. You can't make your... babies if you are injured or sick, after all."

Mei seemed to stop, as if the idea had just crossed her mind. The girl then smiled widely.

"You're right! Thanks for the advice, Midoriya!" Mei said, before continuing to modify the prototype CAD.

This girl is... terrifyingly passionate.

Izuku had walked into the classroom of 1-A, refreshed after the weekend and recovered from the events of the USJ. Thankfully, as the boy looked around the room, his classmates seemed to have recovered as well.

"Midoriya-kun!" Ochako called him from her seat. Both her and Tenya had already been talking.

"How have you been, Midoriya-kun?" Tenya asked him as he sat down.

"I'm fine. I was able to relax through the weekends." Izuku answered.

"We were worried about you, considering that you were the only one of us to be injured badly during the attack at USJ." Ochako said.

"Don't worry about me." Izuku said. "As long as I have kept you safe, I don't care how much pain I'll go through to do it."

"That's..."

"That's just how heroes are, right?" Izuku said while smiling, which caused Ochako to smile too.

"That's right."

The class then saw Izuku and began expressing their concern for him as well, something that Izuku was grateful for. Soon, Shota came into the room, bearing some important news.

"I am glad that all of you are doing fine." he said. "Though I would like to admonish some of you for being so reckless, you did do a good job in subduing those villains, so I would simply like you all to be more careful in the future."

The class, especially those who participated in the battle with the villains, nodded at Shota's warning.

"Now then, I would like to announce to you all that in one week, the sports festival will commence."

1-A was surprised by this statement. Considering the recent attack at USJ, they were shocked to hear that the sports festival will still take place.

"Wouldn't that be dangerous, Sensei? The villains may attack us again." Tsuyu expressed everyone's concerns.

"The higher-ups at UA wanted to prove that we will not back down just because we were attacked by villains." he said, not hiding his disappointment. "Besides, the sports festival will determine your career as heroes, so it is important that it takes place."

Everyone simply nodded in understanding. Their nervousness about the villains attacking were replaced by the excitement of the upcoming sports festival.

For example...

"I'M GONNA WIN THE SPORTS FESTIVAL!"

Ochako was emitting an intense aura as she shouted this mantra to her confused classmates.

"LET'S DO OUR BEST, EVERYONE!"

She's really fired up, huh?

The green-haired boy mused this as he looked at his friend motivating everyone.

"You were really motivated earlier, Uraraka-san." Izuku remarked as Ochako scratched her head in embarrassment.

"I just really want to win the Sports Festival, you see..."

"You know, I'm actually curious, Uraraka-san." Momo asked. "Why do you want to be a hero?"

The girl flinched at the question before looking away.

"For... money."

The group was surprised by the girl's motivation to be a hero.

"You want to be a hero to get rich?" Momo asked. Ochako meekly nodded.

"You see, my parents own a construction company, but it's very small." she said. "Once I get my license, I can help my parents with my quirk, and I can also use the money I earn to help them live a better life."

Izuku narrowed his eyes at Ochako's reasoning.

"Is that really all?"

"What do you mean, Midoriya-kun?" Ochako said.

"If that's really all your motivation, then you could have picked an easier job that doesn't put your life at risk." the boy said. The others nodded, thinking that what he said made sense.

"I guess you're right, Midoriya-kun." she chuckled. "When I was a child, I came across a hero fighting a villain once. The smiles on the faces of the crowd when the hero won against the villain felt really good, so I want people to feel the same when I became a hero."

"What a truly noble goal, Uraraka-san!" Tenya commented.

"So are you going to say "I am here!" when you come to the scene?" Momo teased.

"N-N-No!" Ochako stuttered in embarrassment.

The next day, after class had ended, a surprise was waiting for Class 1-A.

"Uh, why are you all blocking the way?"

The class couldn't get out of the room because of a crowd of students blocking their way.

"H-Hey, what's up with the crowd?" Denki nervously muttered.

"What else, idiot? They're scouting the students that fought real villains." Katsuki told him before turning to the crowd. "Get ou-"

"Be quiet, Bakugou-kun." A chilling voice called out from behind the class. Momo soon came out, smiling eerily at the explosive blond. Katsuki wisely shut up, not wanting to anger the class representative.

"Now then, do you need something from our class, everyone?" Momo turned to the crowd. A girl with black hair walked out from the crowd and started to speak.

"So this is Class 1-A?" the girl commented.

"We are indeed. Is there anything you would like to say, Togeike Chikuchi-san?" Momo's words surprised the girl.

"H-How did you know my name?" the girl asked.

"You are not the only ones that are scouting the competition. We do not want to underestimate anyone after all." Izuku said.

After Shota had announced the sports festival, both Izuku and Momo decided to research the names, faces and quirks of every UA student in their year through hacking into the UA student database. Nezu actually knew about this but left them alone as he was highly amused by their scheme. And so, the two knew about what to expect from all of the students in their year.

This information left everyone in the crowd speechless.

"I thought that the high and might Class 1-A who were attacked and managed to beat the villains wouldn't care about any of us." she said, and the crowd nodded. Izuku and Momo glared at them.

"You say that as if being attacked and almost killed by the villains were a good thing." Izuku said with a deadly tone of voice.

"Need I inform you that Izuku was cut in half by these villains." Momo added. "If it wasn't for what his quirk can do, he would have been dead by now."

The crowd, and even some of the students in 1-A, were surprised by this. They certainly did not expect the villains that invaded the USJ to be that deadly.

"So, what do you want with our class, Togeike-san?"

Despite the surprises that the two told her, Chikuchi kept her composure and simply stared at Class 1-A with a determined gaze.

"The Sports Festival is actually an opportunity for us. You know that the entrance exams were skewed toward people with flashy quirks, right?" the girl said. "Well, the Sports Festival will allow us to rise up to the Hero Course if we perform well enough. Your position is not permanent."

That scared some of the students in Class 1-A, who were nervous about losing their position in the Hero Course.

"That's why I came here. To issue a declaration of war."

Where did this girl even come from?

Some of the class were bewildered by this girl's sudden appearance and declaration, while the students in the crowd were cheering for her bravery. However, the couple were unfazed by this.

"I see." Momo nodded her head. "While I admire your determination..."

It was then that the room went cold.

"... you mustn't use such words so lightly."

The tone of her voice became chilling, to the point that some in the audience began to shiver at her words.

"War involves death, destruction, and suffering. You either survive a war or become a statistic." Momo said. "Considering that we had just been attacked by real actual villains that want to kill us, we take such threats extremely seriously. If you want to do such a thing, then expect severe retaliation."

The smile she gave them were certain to give them nightmares.

"This isn't a threat, it's a promise."

"You think we wouldn't be able to handle it?" Chikuchi said.

Without warning, Izuku appeared behind the girl, pointing his CAD right at her head. She flinched, and immediately turned toward Izuku, preparing to fight.

"Do you think you can?" the green haired boy said.

"Threatening me by using your quirk?" the girl scoffed. "What a showoff."

"No, Togeike-san." Izuku denied. "I never once used my quirk. This is simply physical ability."

"And you think I'll believe that?"

"He's right, Togeike-san." said Momo. "He didn't use his quirk. He simply ran towards that spot at incredibly high speeds."

The crowd was shocked once again. Izuku lowered his CAD and began walking back towards his position in front of Class 1-A.

"We will not underestimate anyone who will fight us in the sports festival, but you shouldn't dare underestimate us either. We're in the Hero Course for a reason."

Izuku then turned towards two individuals in the back of the crowd.

"Kendou Itsuka-san, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu-san, do you need anything from us as well?"

The two were taken aback being called out like that. It was the boy who answered.

"Ah, we just came here to see what you were like!" he said. "Man, you guys are really intense, huh?"

"We would like our two classes to interact when we have free time. After all, we're both from the Hero course, right?" the girl, Kendou Itsuka, said.

"I agree. Let us meet up sometimes." Momo replied, then both class representatives shook hands.

"Now, can you all please let us leave? We would all like to go home." Izuku requested. The crowd obliged, and everyone dispersed so that they can go home as well.

As the crowd of students went back, one thought remained in their heads.

Those two are terrifying!

Chapter 9: Sports Festival, Part 1

"Izuku, I would like to declare war against you."

The green-haired boy was taken aback by Shoto's sudden declaration just as they had been preparing to enter the venue for the Sports Festival.

"What brought this on, Shoto?" he asked.

"You helped me become a better hero and gain a new perspective about my quirk. I am truly grateful for all that you've done for me. That is why I want to fight you and show you how strong I truly am, without holding myself back anymore."

Izuku smiled at what Shoto told him.

"That's great. I'm looking forward to it. May the best man win." The two then shook hands as an intense atmosphere enveloped between the two. Meanwhile, the rest of the class watched in awe as the two titans of Class 1-A promised to fight each other.

"This will be so manly!" Eijiro wiped tears of happiness from their manliness.

"This is going to be an interesting fight now that Todoroki-chan uses his fire, ribbit." Tsuyu remarked.

Katsuki, meanwhile, was annoyed at Shoto for the fact that he didn't declare war on him as well. He was just as much of a threat as Izuku was to him!

I'm glad that Izuku now has friends that he can rely on here as well.

Momo smiled at the interaction, knowing that Izuku will now have a much better life here than in their previous world. While she appreciated all of the companions that they had gained in their past life, both she and Izuku were shackled by their responsibilities in that world. However, there was no such thing here, and they can now enjoy their lives to the fullest.

They then heard Present Mic speaking from outside of the waiting room, and all of them knew what this meant.

"It's time. Let us show what we are made of, Class 1-A!" Momo shouted, causing everyone in 1-A to get fired up.

"Yeah!"

"Ladies and gentlemen! Today is the day you have all been waiting for! It's time for this year's UA Sports Festival to begin!" Present Mic shouted in pure excitement. Cheers rang out from the stands as they were all excited to see this year's prospective hero hopefuls compete.

"I'm sure all of you are impatient to see them, so I'm not going to make you all wait! Here are the 1st Years of UA! First, let's give it up to Class 1-A of UA's Hero Course who had recently survived an attack from the still-mysterious League of Villains! "

As he said these words, Class 1-A came out to the intense shouts and cheers from the audience. They looked stoic yet determined, ready to face the challenges ahead of them in this upcoming sports festival.

Soon, the rest of the other classes also arrived, though they did not get as great of a reception as 1-A did. This further cemented their resentment of the class, causing them to glare heatedly at them. Eventually, Present Mic finished introducing the classes of UA.

"I am going to be your announcer for this Sports Festival, Present Mic, and this is my partner for today, Eraserhead! Do you have anything to say, Eraser?"

"What am I even doing here...?"

"Great! Now then, for the opening speech, let us give it up for the man who took first place in the Entrance Exams, Izuku Midoriya!"

Everyone clapped, waiting for said contestant to get up to the stage. Izuku, meanwhile, was momentarily stunned, but then walked out from the crowd of students with an intense gaze on his face. He stepped up to the podium and cast his gaze on the audience. However, he didn't say a word.

At first, everyone was confused, but the more Izuku stared at them, the more intimidated they became. There was something in his expression that cowed them. Even the students of 1-A fell quiet at his expression. It was as if he was exerting this subtle yet overwhelming pressure on the people watching, silencing them with nothing more than his presence.

In an instant, the rest of the students saw Izuku Midoriya as the biggest threat.

"This world is unfair."

His opening words confused everyone, but he simply kept speaking.

"Behind all of the glamour and dazzle of heroism lies a truly unfair world. I know many of the people watching here knows that, either because you have a quirk that people deem "villainous", a quirk that makes you look different, or maybe you have no quirk at all. The world has been unfair to you. As someone who had my quirk appear incredibly late in my life, I know what it's like to be derided and be mocked just for not having an ability. To them, I was disabled, worthless, useless."

Those who knew how powerful Izuku is was shocked that there was a time people called him that.

"And yet, I still dreamed of becoming a hero. I dreamed of becoming someone who will save and inspire others. I didn't want to lash out at the world just because it was unfair to me. I wanted to be someone who would fight against that unfairness, and to help people fight it. I swear upon my very being that I will not let anyone be harmed because of this unfair world. That is my pledge and oath as a hero."

People were in awe of his speech, but he didn't acknowledge it for now and simply continued speaking.

"That is why I am calling to everyone here to do the same. This world needs heroes like us, who will help them keep this world safe! Each and everyone here need to prove that we can rise above the world's unfairness and be something better! It is up to us to be HEROES! So, I say this from the bottom of my heart! GO BEYOND!"

"PLUS ULTRA!" the rest of the crowd shouted at the same time as he did, and cheers thundered throughout the entire stadium as Izuku finished his speech. He then descended from the podium and towards his classmates who were stunned by his speech.

"Damn, you're manly, Midoriya!" Eijiro exclaimed.

"Yeah, it was a great speech, ribbit." Tsuyu agreed with him.

"It was so cool!" Ochako said with excitement.

"What a delightful little speech from our top placer!" Midnight remarked as she began to point at the large screen above, displaying the potential events on a wheel. "Since I know you guys are excited, let us all dive right into the first event of our First-Year Sports Festival! Let's unveil the first event!"

The wheel spun for a few seconds, before it landed on a name.

"It's an Obstacle Race!"

After having the rules explained to them, they all took their positions in the small space before the starting line.

The space is too cramped for all of us. This is likely a challenge provided to us by UA even before the race begins. Shoto will have a field day with this little space.

Izuku mused all of this as he got into his running stance.

One For All, 15%!

His body began to be wreathed with this greenish lightning as he stared forward.

"Begin!"

With Present Mic's shout, everyone began to run. However, ice suddenly began coating the floor, as well as freezing the feet of almost everyone there. This was caused by Shoto, who had just immobilized them to give himself time to get ahead. Just as his hand burst into flame in order to boost himself forward, though, he heard a voice from behing him.

"Accel!"

With the combined power of both the Acceleration spell and One For All, Izuku burst forward past Shoto at extreme speeds, almost breaking the sound barrier. It also had the unintended effect of breaking the ice beneath them, freeing some contestants from the ice and allowing them to move again. Soon, the rest of 1-A broke out in their own ways, from Katsuki rocketing forward shouting at Izuku for thinking he could get away, to Hitoshi brainwashing some students to carry him forward, to Momo creating a motorcycle again to speed ahead, to both Eijiro and Tenya breaking out through their own strength, and to Ochako who floated herself upwards to avoid being frozen in the first place.

Shoto wasn't fazed, though, and simply used his flames to increase his speed, while he uses his ice to reduce his friction.

In the stands, Endeavor was stunned to see his son using his fire so readily considering that he was in the middle of what the hero calls his "rebellious phase". It didn't stop him from being excited, though.

"SHOOOOOTOOOOOOO!"

"Why can I hear him all the way from here?" Shoto couldn't help but mumble in irritation. "Well, I don't really care. All I need to care about is show my potential as a hero."

With that, he continued moving forward.

Izuku was the first one to reach the first obstacles, the Zero Pointers. However, to Izuku, they weren't much of an obstacle at all.

"All Might hasn't instructed me not to use Mist Dispersion this time." Izuku smiled slightly as he pointed his hands towards the Zero Pointer robots.

WRRR! VWOOM!

In an instant, the Zero-Pointers disappeared without much fanfare, though the crowd didn't see it that way as they were all stunned speechless by the quirk they just saw. Even Endeavor was slightly intimidated by the display of power shown, though he didn't stop screaming in support(?) for his son.

The second obstacle was also nothing for Izuku. While he could use his Flight spell here, he didn't want to expose that so quickly, so he just used his incredible speed to jump from platform to platform with ease without having to use the cables. Both Shoto and Katsuki were following from behind, but the gap between them was considerable. Shoto, not wanting to lose so easily, decided to intensify both his ice and flames to leave Katsuki behind, much to his displeasure.

"Get back here, Icyhot!" Katsuki shouted in fury, but Shoto coldly dismissed him.

"I don't have time for you. I have something to prove." Shoto said as he waved his flames towards Katsuki, causing him to be driven back a few meters, letting Shoto take the lead between them.

"Damn you!" Katsuki screamed as he tried blasting himself past Shoto, only to fail as his flames blasted him again, while Shoto continued to ice skate towards the finish line.

Meanwhile, Izuku had just reached the third obstacles, the landmines, and this time he stopped to observe where they are using his Elemental Sight.

Hmm, it looks like heavy contact can trigger the landmines. I can prevent them from exploding by using that, but I have to be precise. While there is an easier way to do this, I need to practice with my Regrowth further.

Izuku then released his Accel and simply utilized One For All then, with extreme focus and precision, he ran forwards at high speeds, not caring at all if he stepped on a landmine or not. Much to the shock of everyone, the landmines didn't explode.

"W-What's going on? The landmines aren't exploding? But how? Are they malfunctioning or something?" Present Mic shouted out. Eraserhead sighed.

"Midoriya probably did something. From what I can tell, either he is reinforcing those landmines with his quirk, or he is restoring them to a previous state before they were stepped on by Midoriya so that they don't explode. A very interesting application of the power, but requires a lot of precision. He really is very talented." Shota replied.

This made everyone curious about his quirk, considering the amount of applications it had, but they just continued watching him first. The heroes were all undeniably impressed by Izuku and wanted him to be their intern.

Inevitably, Izuku got first place in the race with a large margin.

"Congratulations, Midoriya-san!" Ochako said happily as she approached him with a smile.

"I'm glad you managed to get in." Izuku replied as Momo approached them both.

"I'm also happy that you got in as well, Uraraka-san." Momo said.

"Thank you!" she said. "Anyway, what about you, Iida-san? Why do you look so... sad?"

She said this to Tenya, who had also approached them with a sorrowful expression.

"He probably didn't like that he ranked so low in a race with his quirk." Izuku guessed, while Tenya just nodded shamefully.

"While I am aware of how incredible our classmates are, it still pains me that I ranked this low with my quirk!"  he said while chopping his hands down.

As the rest of the students who had made it gathered at the arena, Midnight came out again to announce the next event: Cavalry Battle. She then explained the rules to the rest of the participants.

"Here are the designated points of each participant!" Midnight shouted as the screen displayed the points.

Izuku grimaced as he saw his name alongside 10,000,000 points, which made him the biggest target in the event. However, no one even dared to look at him. They couldn't, not after his showing in the Obstacle Race where he deleted the Zero-Pointers from existence. And so, the forming of teams began. Izuku and Momo looked at each other.

"So, are we going to team up?" Izuku asked her. The girl chuckled softly before shaking her head.

"While I would really love to, I feel like it would be unfair for everyone if we did." Momo said, and Izuku could silently concede that she was right.

"Who are you going to team up with, then?" Izuku asked.

"I'm going to join Todoroki-kun's team, I think. I have to make sure he fights you in the final matches, after all." she said cheekily, causing Izuku to chuckle softly as well.

"How thoughtful of you." Izuku remarked. "Anyway, I'll see you in the final event."

"See you too!

She then left to find Shoto, leaving Izuku alone with Ochako, who instantly teamed up with him. Just as they were about to find another member...

"Midoriya!" A familiar voice approached the two of them, and they were greeted by the smiling face of Hatsume Mei.

"Oh, it's you, Hatsume. Are you going to team up with me because I won first place?" he asked, knowing her enough to predict what she's thinking.

"Of course, I have to promote my babies, after all!" she said as she held up her support gear. "With you being the center of attention, I can use you to bring attention to myself as well!"

"Is she... always like this?" Ochako asked nervously.

"Yes." Izuku said. "Anyway, since I have no reason not to take you in, welcome to the team."

"Thank you! We will do great things together!" Mei said cheerfully.

"Now then, one last member..." Izuku scanned the arena for any lone individual that still has not found a team yet. Eventually, they found one. One that Izuku didn't expect.

"I see that you haven't found a team yet, Togeike-san." Izuku said to the general course student who challenged them. The girl narrowed her eyes.

"Did you come here to mock me?"

"No, I am here to offer you a spot on my team." Izuku offered, causing her to be surprised.

"Why would I join your team?" she asked skeptically.

"Do you want to be disqualified early without having shown anything because you can't find any teammates?" Izuku said.

"That doesn't mean I will join your team. I'm supposed to be challenging you hero course students!"

"Yet right now, you don't have much of a choice. Most of the participants have already selected their respective teams. If you keep this up, you'll run out of options. Besides, if you're thinking that you don't want to expose your quirk to me until the final event, don't bother. I already know what your quirk is."

"You do?!" the girl exclaimed in surprise.

"We did our research. Your quirk allows you to..."

As Izuku explained her quirk, the other three were stunned by the revelation of what her quirk can do.

"It is a fascinating quirk, but you can't use that and prove yourself if you get disqualified here, right?"

Chikuchi narrowed her eyes at Izuku once more, but eventually, she gave up.

"Fine then, let's team up for now."

Once the teams had all been formed, it was time for them to take their position to start the second event. Izuku, Ochako, and Mei were all helping lift up Chikuchi, who held their headbands.

"Once the event begins, use your quirk immediately, then Hatsume-san's equipment can lift us up and let us survive for the rest of the duration of the event. After all, we don't need to go after anyone's headband. We just need to protect our own." Izuku said to Chikuchi. "Once you do use your quirk, make sure to prepare yourselves, Togeike-san and Uraraka-san. It's not going to be easy using your quirk on all of us."

"I understand." she said.

"Let the Cavalry Battle, BEGIN!" Present Mic announced, causing the teams to descend into chaos.

"It's one big battle for the ten million points!" Tetsutetsu said as many of the teams charged at Izuku, safe in the knowledge that whatever Izuku tried with the Zero-Pointer, he couldn't do to them lest he be disqualified. However, they had a trick up their sleeve.

All of them began to glow brightly, causing everyone to wince from the intensity of the light and look away to shield their eyes. As the light subsided, all of them were somehow being wreathed by the same lightning that Izuku was covered in earlier. Both Chikuchi and Ochako were gritting their teeth in pain and clutching their heads. Before anyone can process what's going on, they all touched each other in the arms, and Mei used her support equipment to fly.

When they reached a high enough vantage point, Izuku breathed a sigh of relief and repeated Chikuchi's quirk once more.

"Togeike-san's quirk, Distribution Field, allows you to lay down an invisible field which turns the quirks of everyone inside of it into energy temporarily, then distribute it equally to everyone within the range of the field. It doesn't work on robots or any other living thing, and you couldn't find students to distribute with back at the entrance exam, which is why you couldn't get to the hero course initially." Izuku said. "Since we can all use Zero Gravity since you distributed it to us, and we used it to float up high. Are you two okay from taking in my quirk?"

"Urgh! What is up with all of this information, Midoriya? This is a quarter of everything?!" Chikuchi couldn't help but shout in disbelief.

"My brain hurts..." Ochako simply complained softly.

"My apologies, but due to the nature of my quirk, I am receiving ridiculous amounts of information in my brain at all times." Izuku said. "My body is well-adapted to this, but that doesn't apply to all of you."

Thankfully, I still keep both my Decomposition and Regrowth with me. I do not think their brains can handle that burden. One For All is also distributed equally, so we all have the equivalent of 25% of One For All each.

"Get back here, Midoriya! I'm taking that damn headband off of your team!" Katsuki screamed as he flew through the air with his explosions. Chikuchi, who was prepared for it, used the power granted to her to flick him away, knocking him down on the ground while demonstrating the power of One For All even when reduced to a quarter of its strength. However, she winced at the recoil of the quirk.

"Be careful. Even I can't wield that power at quarter of its strength just yet. Don't use it too many times or you may break your bones." Izuku warned them as they kept floating in the sky.

Despite their relatively safe position, that didn't stop them from being attacked. Two horns tried to shoot to their headband, but Izuku simply used Mist Dispersion on it to make it disappear. They also saw someone's floating head and hands try to sneak up on them, but Izuku saw her with Elemental Sight, and all he had to do was point his hand at her to make her back away, afraid of his Decomposition.

"Should I try creating an iceberg to reach them?" Shoto asked as he looked up at Izuku's makeshift mobile floating fortress, which is still repelling attacks from all sides.

"Don't do it." Momo warned him. "If you try to do that, he'll definitely erase the iceberg just as we almost reach the top in order to make us fall, then trap us in your own ice by restoring it back with Regrowth."

"He can restore the things he's destroyed with his Decomposition?" Tenya asked.

"Of course, he can." Momo said. "The objects he destroys aren't really erased from existence. They simply get turned into their basic molecules, something that still exists within the Eidos for Izuku to restore."

"I... can honestly see him doing that. Very well, let us settle with hunting down other teams instead. I'll have my match with Izuku later, as much as it pains me to delay it." Shoto decided, then turned towards the rest of the groups to hunt them down for their headbands.

Their strategy had lasted the entirety of the second event, causing them to still be floating when the timer runs out, preserving their spots as the first place. Their rankings were soon displayed for everyone to see.

1. Team Midoriya

2. Team Todoroki

3. Team Bakugou

4. Team Kendou

"It's a shame we didn't get in, Tokoyami-san." Hitoshi said sadly as he patted his teammate in the shoulder.

"It is fine. We have shown off enough of our talents that we have probably attracted some heroes anyway. Besides, isn't it beneficial for you to remain shrouded in the shadows, Shinsou-san?" Fumikage said, earning a nod from the purple-haired boy.

"You're right."

"Without further ado, here are the matchups selected randomly for the One-on-One Battles! Get excited!" Midnight announced as a new set of pairings were shown on screen.

Notes:

I have finally managed to come back to this fic after... a YEAR?! Damn, time flies really fast. I did not think it would take me this long to get back to this fic, but here we are.

Anyway, as for the answers to the questions I have posted during my announcement, I won't be answering any of that here. You'll simply have to wait and see how I'll handle it, dear readers! For now, enjoy the Sports Festival arc in all of its glory!

Something to keep in mind here, dear readers, is that I will not be updating this fic as frequently as I had before, since I have a number of fics that need updating, but I ain't abandoning this wonderful story, that's for sure!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you all enjoyed this chapter!
