Pairing: Riley and Sloane
Song: The Lost By Jelly Roll
Abby and Harper parked the car at the concert venue in Boston: Fenway Park home of the Red Sox baseball team. Abby, Harper, John, Jane, and Sloane all exited the car.
Abby: “I can’t believe we talked you all into coming with us to this concert!”
Sloane: “Hey a night out is a night out for me and music is music”
John: “I for one love Jelly Roll for his positive outlook and his wife’s fashion sense? AMAZING!!!!”
Jane: “He really tells a story with his music. He sure has a way with words.”
Harper smirks and they all show their tickets and walk in. They spot a familiar face at the beer tent and Harper calls it out first “RILEY!”
Riley whips around in her skin tight black leather pants with her black wedge heels on and a skin tight red top.
Sloane gasps for breath and Riley smiles and waves as she looks to the group she’s with and says she will be right back.
“If it isn’t the Caldwell Group! What brings you all to my neck of the woods. I never pegged any of you other than maybe Abby and Jane as Jelly Roll Fans”
Sloane’s heart rate increases watching Riley. Sure she knew and her family now knew too that she was also bisexual and that was in part of the reason for the divorce from Eric and sure she always somehow managed to keep tabs on Riley.
Harper: “I got Abby tickets for her birthday. And we convinced the group to join us. What are you doing here?!”
Riley smirks: “Oh please I’ve been a Jelly roll fan since Day 1. I just got done with my fan meet and greet with him and his wife and now I met up with some friends for the show.”
Abby laughs: “Alright Dr. Johnson! A meet and greet and the oh so serious I can’t FaceTime Dr is a jelly roll fan? Please tell me you are gonna crowd surf tonight”
They all grin and Riley’s friends call her name.
“Listen guys I should get back but how about we all catch up after the show?”
They all agree and go towards their seats which funnily enough are right next to each other with Riley and Sloane being in the middle of their groups.
The show starts and Sloane can’t help herself from staring at Riley all night and everyone? They can tell for sure. As Riley sings her heart out and soaks in the concert Sloane is soaking her in.
Riley sings along with Jelly Roll with proud tears in her eyes swaying to the music and the beat: “ I’ve been down and out! I’m better with the lost than the found!”
Sloane leans in and whisper “I’m so glad I ran into you”
Riley smiles and nods “Me too Slo now enjoy the show”
The concert continues and Sloane feels that familiar feeling she’s had all of these years: Yearninf, love, warmth. And it all stems from one person…her sisters high school ex and her new and current infatuation…Riley Johnson.
This was the start of something of wild and Sloane was ready for the ride.
