Chapter Text
Sirius' mind was a whirl, as was his heart. Remus' honey gaze was fixed on him, a deep blush on his cheeks complimenting his pale pink scars. His body was consumed by warmth, and all he could think about was RemusRemusRemus.
"You're beautiful," Remus whispered, a smile spreading across his face and making his eyes crinkle. Sirius hid his face against Remus' collarbone. The sun was beggining to set, and Sirius knew that he should go back to his room, but didn't want to. With great effort, he managed to drag himself out of Remus' grasp and detangle their limbs. Remus' big brown eyes stared up at him sadly from the chair.
"Are you sure you don't wanna stay?" He asked, wrapping his arms around Sirius' waist. He wanted to stay so badly, but knew it would arouse suspicion. Plus, he wanted to check in with Regulus.
"Of course I want to, but I don't want to get caught before we've even figured out what it is we're doing. Plus, I need to make sure Reg is okay." Sirius gave Remus a farewell kiss on his forehead before departing to find Regulus.
Regulus, as Sirius expected, was sitting on his bed reading one of his various novels. Sirius practically skipped into his room, so excited to tell his brother about what had happened. Regulus looked up at him and gave him such a hateful look that it stopped him in his tracks.
"Where the HELL have you been?!" Regulus shouted, standing up to face his elder brother. "I had to deal with Mother and Father and that dreadful Sargeant Lupin all godforsaken afternoon while you paraded off who-knows-where!!" Regulus' eyes welled with tears, and Sirius was shocked by his brother's outburst and didn't know what to do. Regulus sat back down on his bed and sobbed into his hands. Sirius sat down next to him and wrapped his arms around his shaking brother. Regulus clung to Sirius' shirt like his life depended on it and wept against his shoulder.
"I wanna go home," Regulus said once his tears had quieted. Sirius rubbed his back gently and murmured soft condolences to his brother, and they laid down together in Regulus' bed. On nights like this, when Regulus' fear and sadness overwhelmed him, the only thing that calmed him was his brother's presence. Soon, both boys were sleeping peacefully.
Sirius woke hungry. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt full, and thought back to the deer. He gently pulled himself out of Regulus' bed and made his way to his own room, trying to think of what to do next. He didn't want to be a slave to his vampirism, and the feeling of hunger was manageable. It wasn't like he hadn't ever been hungry before. He expected he had a few days to make a plan before he lost all reason, so he put it off.
The sun was rising over the treetops. Sirius tried to fall back asleep, but soon realized that it was pointless. Regulus needed his rest, but Sirius was becoming stir crazy and needed someone to keep him company. Moving as quietly as he could, he snuck into Remus' room but found it empty. Having failed his original mission, Sirius began looking through Remus' extensive collection of books.
He picked up an unassuming book with a simple grey cover and sat down in Remus' armchair to read. Sirius was content to read and breathe in Remus' scent, his hunger nearly forgotten. The book seemed to be nothing more than a simple tale of frienship between two men, until partway through the novel when their friendship turns to...more. Sirius felt his face flush as he read the smut hidden in this unassuming novel, the toe-curling sheet-grabbing filth that Remus had stowed away in his bedroom. Sirius' hunger returned tenfold, his body suddenly filled with a primal need, Remus' scent surroudning him driving him insane.
He dropped the book, not caring where it landed, and rushed back to his room. He slammed his door shut, leaning against it and breathing heavily. His nails dug into the wood beneath his palms, and he fought to contain himself. deep breaths, he thought to himself.
His whole body began to tremble. He didn't know if it was his hunger or his horny, or some strange mix of the two, but he desperately needed it to stop. He sat down on his floor and began to rock back and forth, attempting to calm down.
He didn't know how much time had passed before he finally managed to calm down, but he could hear people moving around the house. It must be nearly afternoon, and Sirius knew he had to participate with the others. He spent too long yesterday hiding away and couldn't repeat his mistake, lest he risk the fury of his parents.
He ran his hands through his hair, straightened his shirt and waistcoat, and stepped into the main room.
Immediately he locked eyes with Remus, a flush creeping onto his face. Remus smiled at him subtly before schooling his face back into a mask of indiferrence. Sirius smiled back, tension leaving his body at the sight of the other man.
"Where have you been?" Orion's sharp voice cut through Sirius' calm. He bristled, fighting the urge to shoot a glare his way.
"I felt ill. I'm sorry if I've worried any of you," Sirius responded calmly. Orion didn't seem the least bit satisfied with his answer, but didn't contradict him.
Settling into a chair, Sirius took his place in the family room. Sargeant Major Lupin seemed oddly interested in getting to know the Black family, and was especially interested in their noble title. He asked many invasive questions of the family, seeming overly interested in their money.
Sirius was finding it hard to pay attention, his hunger growing through his whole body. He couldn't focus, pain was overwhelming him and he could pick up Remus' scent from across the room. He stared at him, his hunger mixing with a desperation to be near Remus. Sirius stood up suddenly, and made an excuse of feeling ill before stumbling from the room and into Remus' bedroom. He knew the other man was following him but didn't know how he knew.
As soon as the door shut behind him, Sirius pressed Remus against the door, trapping him between his body and the wood. Sirius trapped the other man's lips in a heated kiss, the taste of Remus barely easing his hunger. "I need you," Sirius whispered against Remus' lips. He felt the taller man's hands wrap around him, gripping his hips. Remus' tounge found its way into Sirius' mouth, and Sirius felt his body heat up.
They broke apart, and Sirius began to nip at Remus' neck. Remus let out a low moan that Sirius felt against his lips. He kissed a line across Remus' neck, and soon he felt the thrum of Remus' heartbeat beneath his skin. Sirius let himself bite harder, drawing a bit of blood. As soon as Sirius tasted the blood, all his hunger left for an instant, and he moaned against Remus' neck. He was vaguely aware that Remus was rubbing their hips together, the friction eliciting pleasure.
Sirius bit even harder, his sharp canines piercing into Remus' flesh. Blood began to pour down Remus' neck, and Sirius drank hungrily. His body began to tingle, a wave of euphoria crashing over him. He didn't realize that Remus was struggling, and pressed him harder against the door. His nails dug into Remus' shoulder, forcing him in place as he drank hungrily, moaning desperately.
Remus continued to struggle against him, pulling at his clothes and his hair, panting and shouting in a desperate, wild attempt to get Sirius off of him. Finally, Remus threw him across the room and scrambled away from him, putting his hands against the hole in his neck. Sirius felt amazing, satisfied and high and completely fucked. Then, his eyes landed on Remus and he realized what he had done. He stepped forward, arms outstretched to try and help, but Remus backed away from him.
Both the Black family and the Lupin family crashed into the room, alerted by the shouting. They saw Sirius, covered in blood, his fanglike canines exposed, and Remus clutching his neck, also covered in blood, and they quickly realized what had happened. Sargeant Major Lupin ran forward, pistol drawn, and shot Sirius. Orion shouted and ran at his son as well, while Regulus begged his father to be reasonable. Both women wept, Mrs. Lupin rushing to her sons side.
Sirius went down, the shot having barely missed his heart and landing squarely in his left shoulder. His eyes met Remus, pleading him to forgive him, but Remus dropped his gaze and turned away, letting himself be led away by his mother. Sirius hoped he hadn't drained him enough to turn him, and prayed that he hadn't ruined the other man's life.
Orion lept on Sirius, pummeling him, wrapping his hands around his throat and shouting vile things at him, his rage overcoming him. Regulus managed to pull Orion away for long enought that Sirius turned and ran, breaking through the large window in the Lupin home, running as fast as his shaky legs would carry him.
