   Summary

   As Michaela Islette and Lamina Ashcreek board the train bound for the capitol, they can't help but feel a sense of dread looming over them. They know that they are headed towards a fate that is nothing short of terrible. However, as they strike up a conversation, they soon realize how similar they are in their fears and anxieties. Despite their initial hesitance towards each other, they begin to feel a sense of sympathy and understanding that grows stronger with each passing moment.

   As the journey progresses, their bond becomes unbreakable, especially when Treech, one of the other tributes, abandons Lamina. Together, Michaela and Lamina decide to take on the challenges that lie ahead, knowing that even if they make it to the finals, only one of them can emerge as the winner. The question on everyone's mind is, if they do make it that far, who will be the one to meet their inevitable execution?
