Chapter Text

Shoto’s eyes widened, “Did...did they just?”

Nezu hummed in thought, “Which part is surprising you? Destroying the building, kicking All Might in the testicles, or capturing the top hero in the country?”

Shoto hesitated, “Yes.” He cleared his throat and shook his head to clear it, “I actually wanted to talk to you before my test or...I think Mr. Aizawa called it your ‘legal torture’.”

Nezu chuckled, “Oh, and what did you want to talk about? My duty as a principal is to help my dear students whenever possible.” The pale capibara smiled, though the calming expression was slightly ruined by the intense twitching of his eye while he watched Ashido and Kaminari prepare.

Shoto stepped into the small beast’s line of sight, “Recovery Girl mentioned you could...help me with my parents.”

Nezu gave a somber nod, “Ah, yes, Endeavor and his unfortunate bride, Recovery Girl told me what you and Midoriya talked about.” He placed a hand on the young man’s knee in an attempt to consol him, “I can speak with some associates, have you made a ward of the school, and Recovery Girl could speak with the hospital your mother is being kept in.” His ears drooped at the hope in Todoroki’s eyes, “She won’t be released immediately, I’m sure there is quite a bit of damage in her mind, she still needs proper treatment, but Recovery Girl can find proper professionals for her.”

Shoto felt his shoulders drop, “At least she’ll get help, but what will being the school’s ward mean?”

Nezu smiled, “I’ll have Cementos make a place for you to stay on campus, the staff will be considered your guardians, and Endeavor will be investigated, this sort of thing usually sets off all sorts of alarm bells.”

Shoto hesitated, Endeavor being investigated, his mother getting proper treatment, “That...sounds perfect.”

Nezu’s ear twitched just before an automated voice made an announcement, “Principal Nezu, you may begin your preparations.” The pale, slightly insane, capibara grinned like a demon, “We can discuss this further after I finish traumatizing your classmates."

Izuku clenched his fist studying the various marks on his arm from the test, “I might need to find someone else to work on my gear, that failsafe is a nightmare.”

Katsuki chuckled, “I don’t see the problem, kept you in the fight, didn’t it?”

Izuku shrugged, “Let me do more than you did.”

The explosive young man tried to bolt up, but winced and sank back into the infirmary cot as his broken ribs made themselves known, “The fuck did you just say?”

Izuku chuckled, “You got choke slammed and I had to carry you when we tried to run.”

Bakugo glared at his former victim, “You’re right, but still, fuck you.”

Izuku started laughing, “Nejire does that enough, she might be part succubus.”

Bakugo laughed with him, “Don’t let that purple runt hear about that, he’d have an aneurism!” The pair laughed together, for a moment, everything was forgotten, they were just childhood friends healing after a fight, “Christ, those three did good with you, didn’t they?”

Izuku tilted his head, “Who and what?”

Bakugo shook his head, “Those three that always drag you out of class. What are their names, again? Right, Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire. They did good with you, I still remember the scared bastard that let me say whatever over the line bullshit I could think of. Now, you’re talking shit, cursing, and apparently railing a member of The Big Three.”

Izuku stiffened, “I’m going ask you to never describe my love life like that again.”

Bakugo grinned, “Prude.”

Shigaraki ground his teeth as watched Stain’s asinine speech about how corrupt hero society is, “Looks like he forgot he can stay silent.” He chuckled as the page was taken down, again, “I’ll give the bastard this, he got under the right people’s skin.” He turned to the door as Korugiri returned with a small group of people. Most scattered through the bar, helping themselves to the booze and making themselves comfortable.

The misty villain approached his young master, “I have found quite a few likeminded individuals, they seem open to joining the league.”

A blonde girl looked and skipped around, acting more like a girl at the zoo. She looked to Shigaraki and grinned, “Giri said you worked with Stainy, I wanna be like Stainy, can I join? can I join?”

Shigaraki let out an annoyed grunt, Stain’s bullshit seems to have made an impact on crazies like her, “Sure, you can join.” He glanced at another newcomer, mostly burned, reeked like rotting meat, and just oozed daddy issues, a kindred spirit.

The burned man glanced around, “Doesn’t seem too impressive, but the mist guy mentioned we’d go after pros, got one in mind.”

Shigaraki raised a brow, “Eventually, got a few in mind, myself, but I’m also trying to break them, make them squirm before the end.” He grabbed a beer from under the bar’s counter and opened it, muttering in annoyance, “Can’t believe losing fingers made things simpler.” He took a long swig, “Got an idea to hurt them, make them see what kind of animals they’re trusting, and someone that needs to die...for personal reasons.”

The burned man grinned, “Sounds fun, where do we start?”

Shigaraki gestured to a map on the bar, “UA’s training camp, got someone I think could work well with us, and someone that seriously needs to die.” He clenched his injured hand, “I prefer capturing both, but I can compromise, if needed.”

The crazy girl grinned, “Really? Who we killing, and who we grabbing?”

Shigaraki chuckled, at least she’s enthusiastic, “Izuku Midoriya and Katuski Bakugo, respectively my master has a personal interest in the former, I think the latter will make a good addition, I just need to talk to him.”
