Joyful laughter filled the car as they parked swiftly.
Corpse had been trying to distract himself from the fact that he would be in public with one of his best friends. He wasn’t upset about the best friend part, not at all. What he was sort of scared about was the public party. His therapist recommended him to just focus on the outside activities and not dwell on the fact that he was outside. Now he’s starting to think that it might not be as easy as it sounded.
He opened his car door and locked the car as the older man had already gotten out. He could deal with this. He could deal with this.
They walked into the theatres as the raven’s boots made loud stomping noises. The brunette glanced at the musician before saying, “I’m going to go buy the tickets, okay? Just wait here.” He nodded before adjusting his eyepatch as he watched the other man go and talk to the front counter. His eyes lingering on the movie posters as he eventually found the poster of the one they were watching. Smile 2. He loved horror and Sy was neutral on the genre but they both decided on it.
He heard soft footsteps approach him as he felt his fight or flight motions enter his joints before he looked at the culprit, relieved as he saw the familiar head of dark brown hair. The shorter man held the tickets up with a smile before motioning him to the stairs so they could buy some food. As they went up the stairs, Sykkuno looked at Corpse before handing him the tickets, “If you want you can get us our seats but you should probably just stand in front of the cinema hall, it’s that one, up those little stairs and go through the left hallway. Or you can just stay here.” The brunette said cheerfully yet shyly.
Corpse hesitated before mumbling, “It’s okay, I’ll just get our seats.” The streamers eyes widened ever so slightly before saying, “Okay, if you need me I’m right here.” He said before patting the man on the shoulder and going off to buy a couple popcorns and drinks.
The younger man fiddled with his fingers before walking off. Stepping up the little stairs before going down the left hallway. Clenching his ringed fist as he tried to not give thought to the empty pit in his stomach. Moving past the couples and groups of friends as he looked through the place. He looked down and he realised his hands were shaking as he held up the tickets.
The raven ran his other hand through his previously styled curls as his vision kept blurring. He shook his head before looking throughout the seats before noticing two people in their seats. His heart dropped. He looked between the seat numbers and the tickets, yup the same.
He heard a few pitter patter foot steps as he immediately looked back before he let out a breath he didn’t seem to realise he was carrying. The older man had came back with a few drinks, a big popcorn box and a waffle. All of which was on a tray.
“What’s up?” The brunette asked with a tiny head tilt as Corpse just held the tickets up to the streamer. He looked through the ticket numbers and the seat section before promptly walking up to the pair. “I’m sorry but these appear to be our seats. Would you guys mind going to your own seats?”
The couple looked dumbfounded at them before giving them an annoyed glance and walking off. The streamer just gave a nervous smile before sitting down and putting the drinks in their cup holders.
The movie started as they got invested. Not Sykkuno though, he just spaced out. Shoving a bunch of salty popcorn into his mouth as he tried to ignore the tall blond mop of hair a little in front of him. It couldn’t be him, he tried reasoning but his heartbeat was speeding up. It’ll be fine.
