Chapter Text

Jungkook spends more and more time in Yoongi's café. He loves just existing in the same space with him, studying, doodling, and sleeping. Drinking tea and eating snacks.

Yoongi moves around the space, making small noises, Jungkook hangs onto every sound and lets himself drift. He pretends to be asleep when Yoongi sits next to his head, and runs his fingers through his hair, tracing his fingers over his ear, his jaw, and his brows.

“Jungkook,” the vampire whispers, “how lucky am I to have you?”

Jungkook has trouble controlling his expression at the words. Through tremendous effort, he manages to stay still instead of jumping up into Yoongi's arms.

“Should I cut my hair?” Jungkook is in front of the mirror, and trying to style his hair. The line between his brows deepens when it doesn't listen.

“Hmm, do you want to?” the vampire puts down his phone to give him his full attention.

“I don't know… What do you think?”

Yoongi seems to think carefully, “I like it like this. It makes you look really pretty.”

He lets out a cough and doesn't respond. Not because he is trying to ignore Yoongi, but he has been extra flirty since they decided to go out tonight. Their first official date, or something like that. In reality all of Yoongi's sweet words turn his brain into mush.

Yoongi hasn't told Jungkook where they are going yet. It's been making him buzz with excitement, all he has been told is to dress really warm. He feels like he should feel anxious about not knowing, but he has never trusted anyone as much as Yoongi.

Soon they're sitting in Yoongi's warm car. Jungkook is vibrating on the heated seat, excited to be on a date with someone he likes. The vampire has been borrowing his clothes since a few nights ago, this time wearing Jungkook's favorite oversized hoodie. He knows the vampire doesn't need the warmth, but he can't help but feel giddy at the sight.

Jungkook is wrapped up in a few layers, a shirt, a warm sweater, and a puffy jacket. He decided to take Yoongi's suggestion to dress warm very seriously, because he can always just take some layers off if it's too hot.

Yoongi pulls out of the parking space, “the drive to the location is a bit long, so you can take a nap if you want.”

“Are you trying to kidnap me?” He crosses his arms and leans over the console to stare closely at the side of Yoongi's face. “I would never make it that easy…”

“I think it would be pretty easy,” he responds in a deadpan manner which in turn makes Jungkook gasp in offence.

But soon Jungkook is falling asleep. He had a long day at school and didn't have time to take a nap before Yoongi came over. His body is used to falling asleep around Yoongi, it's become a routine, justt being in his presence makes his eyelids droop a little.

He wakes up to the feeling of the vampire moving the hair from his face, but Jungkook doesn't feel like opening his eyes yet. Yoongi leans closer and closer until his mouth is hovering over his ear, and he whispers, “Baby, we're here.”

Jungkook's body jumps, and he pushes Yoongi away drowsily, his eyes finally opening, a small pout on his lips. “Don't just do that.”

“But you like it,” Jungkook refuses to confirm or deny those words at this moment and gets out of the car instead. Yoongi gets out too, walking around the car to stand next to him.

Jungkook is standing there with his mouth agape. “How do you just know everything?” he asks quietly after a pause.

They're standing in a small gravel parking lot, the serenity of the sea stretching before their eyes. The salty smell of the water and algae. The full moon reflects against the water, white lines of light shimmer, and dance with each other.

Jungkook turns to Yoongi and hugs him, as tight as he can, squeezing, squeezing. Stupid words want to bubble out of him, but his mind is so calm he doesn't know what they are. His heart has disconnected from his brain. After a moment Yoongi hugs him back just as tightly.

They end up sitting on the cold sand, the waves becoming background music for their quiet conversations. Jungkook is so so warm just sitting next to Yoongi with their thighs pressed together. It's been so long since he saw the stars.

Jungkook had started dreading the night, it just made him realize how truly alone he was, his cold, empty bed, his bleeding heart keeping him awake. In a way Yoongi has reminded him how beautiful the night is, how comforting it is to just sit in the quiet, wrapped up in a blanket, drinking tea. Even Yoongi's icy skin seems warm in those moments.

“Do you…” Jungkook can't help but hesitate, a question that's been endlessly spinning in his mind since that night. Yoongi doesn't interrupt, letting the sound of the soft waves fill the space as Jungkook gathers his courage, “Do you see yourself as a monster?” His voice stretches thin at the end of the question.

The vampire breathes deeply, his eyes focused on the horizon. Jungkook waits patiently, hoping the question wasn't too out of line. Maybe Jungkook just ruined everything again, with his words, his selfish curiosity.

“I–,” he stops himself, Jungkook risks a glance over, Yoongi's eyes are blinking rapidly, like trying to fan away his thoughts with his… pretty, long lashes. “I mean sometimes it's just…”

He takes another deep breath, “I honestly thought I had gotten over it, and accepted myself,” he swallows, “but when I met you.. It's just not all that common for vampires to befriend humans, and usually it's for,” he stops himself again. “It just feels like I'm taking advantage of you sometimes, and you're so innocent in a way. You know nothing about this world that I was forced into. You don't know and can't understand, yet you've accepted me wholeheartedly. And I feel guilty for having these urges because I would never want to use you, or make you feel used in any way. I never want you to think any of my actions came from a place anything other than sincerity. I truly like you so much, Jungkook. In such a short amount of time, you've become such a special person to me.”

Jungkook leans over and kisses the vampire on his cheek, hoping that will get him to look at him. He does, eyes shiny. “I want to understand you. You've become so special to me too, I don't think there's anything you could say to make me leave because I know your heart. I don't feel used at all, most of the time I feel like I'm the one using you…” words have never felt this easy, words flow out of him, wanting to reassure Yoongi, make him understand, “I've never felt so comfortable around anyone. You make me feel so naive and stupid because it's just so easy to be around you. I just don't think you could hurt me… whatever urges you have I'm sure you would never do anything I don't want, and that's enough for me.”

Yoongi's lips finally quirked into a gentle smile, “I know, I just feel sorry. I care about you too much.”

Jungkook lets himself smile, “Obviously,” he says teasingly, his fingers playing with the cold sand, “but what kind of urges are they? Like vampire urges?”

The vampire blushes and turns away, “I mean, yeah, they're just,” he clears his throat, “sometimes I just can't help but think about your blood. It smells like–” he cuts himself off once again.

Jungkook holds back a laugh, his cheeks warm, aching to smile. “Hmm, you want to drink my blood?” he asks playfully, nudging Yoongi’s side with his elbow.

“If you say it like that,” the vampire lets himself laugh, “It's different from just wanting to feed, it's like a physical claim, or i don't know, the idea of you being my life source…” his voice gets quieter.

Jungkook hums, “You are already mine, and I'm yours, so I don't think you should feel guilty about feeling that way,” he tries his best to sound comforting, but the vampire still seems tense next to him.

“It doesn't scare you?” Yoongi's vulnerability pierces through Jungkook's weary heart. He can see Yoongi pick on his cuticles, the tension pulling his face and shoulders tight. He envelopes the vampire in a hug and makes use of his huge puffy jacket to suffocate his head as he pushes him fully onto the sand.

“Of course, it doesn't scare me.”

He releases his head, pulling away just enough for them to look at each other. Yoongi's soft look that always makes Jungkook want to squirm and hide, he forces himself to face it head-on. Yoongi brings a hand up to tuck some hair behind Jungkook's ear. “How are you so beautiful?” he whispers like a wave rolling ashore.

Jungkook leans down, kissing him on the lips, to stop himself from saying anything embarrassing. When he pulls away, he buries his cold nose into Yoongi's cold neck. A familiar hand plays with his hair as he breathes in Yoongi's scent mixed with the sea air.

“My hair is full of sand,” Yoongi says after a while. Jungkook chuckles, he makes himself heavier and pins Yoongi's arms to his sides when he tries to lift his head.

“I'm not sorry,” he says under the vampire’s jaw. “Thank you for bringing me here.”

“Uh-huh,” the vampire responds, pretending to be annoyed at the younger’s antics. “Are you warm? I'm sorry I'm cold. I don't want you to get sick, baby.”

At the mention of coldness, he becomes acutely aware of it and shivers lightly, “maybe a little,” he mumbles, nose still pressed to Yoongi's icy skin.

“We should get going then,” he then lifts up from the ground with Jungkook on top of him without a sign of struggle. Jungkook huffs and nips the side of the vampire's neck. “Oww, what was that for?” Yoongi whines.

“Why did you pretend to be stuck, when you could just get up any time?” Jungkook says accusingly.

“Because your love is heavy, but my will to stop you from getting sick is stronger. You, humans, are so fragile.”

Jungkook looks at him, bewildered, “I think you've lost it. Did I push you to the ground too hard?”

Yoongi laughs so genuinely, that Jungkook can't help but stare at him as he does. Did he do that, make Yoongi this happy? The more time he spends with the vampire, the closer he craves to be and if he can make Yoongi this happy with his presence, it has to mean something special.

Pretty, pretty, pretty.

A word that's been stuck on repeat in his head to the point it's distracting him while studying. It's jabbing itself in between all the important words. Yoongi always says so many nice things whenever they're together and every time he thinks ‘you too’, but he can't bring himself to say it out loud. He wants to tell Yoongi how pretty he thinks he is. No, he needs to tell him.

It's only 4 p.m., but it doesn't really matter since Yoongi doesn't sleep. So, Jungkook gives in and messages him.

me:

I wanna see you

As soon as he sets his phone down to refocus on studying he receives a response.

Yoongi <3:

Hi baby

I want to see you too but I won't be at the café today.

I have some things to take care of

Let's meet tomorrow, okay?

Jungkook sighs and pouts. He was getting so used to seeing Yoongi so much, he didn't realize how disappointed he would be by something like this. It's just one night.

me:

lol what kind of stuff?

Yoongi <3:

Just vampire stuff

me:

that doesn't sound suspicious at all :)

Yoongi <3:

It's just like a health checkup and I'm meeting Namjoon later.

Sorry I didn't let you know last night baby

You mess my head up

Jungkook smiles to himself. Even when Yoongi doesn't directly compliment him, he always implies it. He doesn't understand how it comes so easily to him. Saying ‘you mess my head up too’ right now would be awkward, right, or would it be fine? Besides, he needs to tell Yoongi that he is pretty face to face because he needs Yoongi to know how much he means it.

me:

I'll miss u :(((

Yoongi <3:

Me too

Watch a nice movie okay?

And sleep well, text me if you can't.

Jungkook thinks words like ‘love you’ would fit well after each message the vampire sends him. It feels implied. Maybe he is going insane, but Jungkook swears he can feel all these words Yoongi doesn't say so deeply in his chest. All these invisible words making his heart warm.

me:

hope your checkup goes well and you have fun with namjoon!!

It's true but Jungkook feels selfish. He sort of wishes he had Yoongi all to himself all the time, and they could just live in their own little bubble together.

Yoongi <3:

Thank you Jungkook

Jungkook can't sleep. The vampire told him to text if that happened but he feels embarrassed. He can't even fall asleep properly by himself. It's not like he has to be cuddled to fall asleep, but Yoongi's presence alone brings him so much comfort. It feels safe when Yoongi is in the same room with him. It's a little irrational. He doesn't want to be annoying and clingy. Though Yoongi would probably be annoyingly understanding and kiss his forehead and tell him it's okay.

He really needs a forehead kiss right now. Shit. Jungkook lets out various noises as he tosses and turns on the bed.

In the end he manages to get about 3 hours of sleep. That wouldn't be an issue if he didn't have to meet up with Yoongi at night. He needs to see Yoongi to sleep properly. Jungkook feels bad about how much the vampire has to just watch him sleep.

He somehow drags his body through the day. It's not uncommon for him, but he had really forgotten what it felt like before meeting Yoongi. In a way, Yoongi has become his life source and he needs to see Yoongi to recharge.

Jungkook's skin itches to see him. He has been getting a lot of weird thoughts, replaying their conversation at the beach. He maybe, really, wants to tell Yoongi how pretty he is and then ask him to bite him. The vampire seemed embarrassed about telling him, but Jungkook didn't feel any apprehension in the moment. Everything about Yoongi just seems so good. He'd probably do anything he asked because of how much he trusts Yoongi.

He wonders if the vampire might be against it. Jungkook doesn't want to come off as desperate, he doesn't even really know what this means for them. He just wants it because he knows Yoongi wants it, instinct or else. And he is incredibly curious of what it would feel like. To feel the vampire's pretty pearly fangs sink into his skin and…

Once again, he is standing in front of Yoongi's café except this time something is off. The front door is locked and all the lights are off. Just earlier today, he told Yoongi he'd come over and he responded enthusiastically. Yet he is peering into a dark café with no way in.

me:

I'm here :)

where are you?

He has the patience to wait for roughly 5 minutes until he decides to call Yoongi.

No answer.

Jungkook forces himself to take a few deep breaths and not panic… yet. Yoongi knew he was coming, if he had something come up he would've texted him. It's not like Yoongi can fall asleep either. A hundred worst-case scenarios run through his mind. He can only pray nothing happened to the vampire.

He doesn't know if he should stand here and wait or try to break into Yoongi's apartment. He ends up pacing back and forth in front of the café and chewing on his bottom lip. Going home would be pointless since he wouldn't be able to sleep, especially when he has no clue where Yoongi is.

After waiting and pacing around for 30 minutes, he gets a call from an unknown number. Jungkook's hands shake as he answers the call.

“Hello?” he asks, agitated. It might just be a scam call, but he gets his hopes up.

“Hi, is this Jungkook? It's me, Namjoon, Yoongi's friend. I don't know if he has mentioned me but–”

“Is he okay?” the words rush out of him. Desperate to know if Yoongi is safe and okay.

“Yoongi's– he could be worse. He'll be fine,” Namjoon sighs deeply, “he isn't awake right now.”

“Where are you?” Jungkook’s breathing is still heavy, not satisfied with how little information Yoongi's friend is giving him.

“I took him to my place. I can send you the address? I’ll explain more once you're here,” Jungkook lets himself be soothed by Namjoon’s deep and calm voice.

Jungkook's never been more frustrated waiting for a bus. It's late and the buses are few and far between. He paces nervously, kicking the small rocks in front of the bus stop. A taxi would've been a smarter option, but he has already committed to waiting for a bus.

In just another five minutes the bus arrives, and Jungkook leaps onto it as soon as the doors open. There are a few other people, at this late, everyone looks a bit suspicious. Some girls who are probably on their way to a club, a guy on the phone speaking a foreign language, wearing a leather jacket, looking like a stereotypical gang member. A few people who seem to be just running errands and for the first time Jungkook wonders how many of these people are vampires.

He didn't even know vampires were real up until very recently. As much as he hangs around Yoongi, he hasn't thought about it much in the context of the rest of the world. Right now, he is so afraid of losing Yoongi, something must have happened and he has no idea what. There's an inkling under his skin that it has something to do with Yoongi being a vampire. He is probably getting ahead of himself, but he wants to hide the vampire away. So, he wouldn't have to feel this pain, this rejection, like he's a monster. Ever.

Jungkook squeezes his eyes and fists tightly, trying to breathe. With shaky hands, he picks up his phone to memorize the route to Namjoon’s place. Just so he can run in the right direction as soon as he gets off.

He gets off the bus and runs on pure adrenaline, all the way to Namjoon’s. His eyes are wild as he pants in front of the unfamiliar apartment building. The call box's beeping rings in his ears as he waits for Namjoon to answer.

The door opens, Jungkook flies up the stairs and opens the door with the force of every anxious thought he has ever had, nearly crashing into a stranger's body.

“Where is he?” he says frantically, completely breathless.

“Well, hello to you too. He is in my bedroom, sleeping.”

“I need to– I need to–” he looks around, trying to decide on a direction but his feet won't move. Big hands suddenly grab his shoulders and squeeze.

“Jungkook, I need you to sit down and breathe for a second, okay? Yoongi is fine. He is safe.” Namjoon guides him to the couch and down by his shoulders.

“I need to see him,” tears spring to his eyes.

“I'll let you, but I need to speak to you first. Do you want some water?” Namjoon asks in such a calm and warm voice. Rationally, Jungkook knows he wouldn't be like this if something was truly, really wrong with Yoongi. Jungkook's mouth won't move, and his head won't nod or shake. He doesn't know what to do. Namjoon gets up and brings him water when he doesn't answer.

“Here you go,” he sets it on the table and sits down next to him. “You know we're vampires, right?”

Jungkook finally gets himself to nod.

“Right, so, because we exist, vampire hunters exist,” he looks at Jungkook like he is trying to read his thoughts, “Yoongi got in the way of one today so he got a bit hurt, but he got away mostly unscathed. I haven't really talked to him yet since he has been sleeping. But Jungkook, please, don't freak out too much around him about it. He is a young vampire, and these things are still difficult for him to accept. If he saw how much this hurts you, I don't know if he could handle it.”

Jungkook's breath is slowly evening out. He nods and lets himself sink into the couch, willing some of the tension out of his body. “I understand. Thanks, I'm sorry. I didn't– I'm still scared,” he glances at Namjoon with a vulnerable look. “Do they just go after anyone, the hunters I mean?” he holds his breath.

“Well, they prioritize vampires who are very active because they're easy to track down, but if they come across a vampire they'll try to take them down.”

“But why, when they haven't done anything wrong?” Jungkook asked incredulously.

Namjoon sighs deeply, “They've just decided all vampires are dangerous. I'm sure they all have different reasons to believe that.”

“I'm sorry.”

“Jungkook, don't be. You've done nothing wrong. Yoongi has never been happier, and it's obviously your doing.”

Jungkook stares at the ceiling in silence for a bit before whispering, “Can I see him now?”

Jungkook has been staring at Yoongi's sleeping face for 20 minutes. He hopes this is the only time he has to see Yoongi sleep because he only needs sleep to heal. Seeing someone hurt has never hurt this badly.

As it has become a habit, Jungkook drifts to sleep in Yoongi's presence. Kneeling on the floor next to the bed with his torso on the bed, he can finally sleep.

He stirs at a hand gently caressing and scratching his scalp. “Baby, you didn't have to come,” a voice whispers like he doesn't want anyone to hear, but Jungkook does.

“Of course, I did,” he murmurs back quietly. Eyes still closed, enjoying the comforting touch in his hair.

“Idiot,” Yoongi says, and Jungkook abruptly lifts up his head to scowl at him.

“Okay so when you take care of me, that's fine, but if I worry about you and want to take care of you, I'm an idiot?” he huffs out in one breath.

“No, I'm an idiot too,” and now that Jungkook is looking at him, he can see how truly sad Yoongi looks when he says those words.

“You really are,” he stares into the vampire's eyes, Yoongi breaks it in a few moments, “how could you even think that I wouldn't come? You're mine, we promised,” he says almost desperately.

“I'm sorry, Jungkook. All I could think at that moment was that I would never get to see you again. I'm so glad you are here,” he hesitates, “Can I kiss you?”

Jungkook smiles and climbs on the bed to get closer, “I thought you'd never ask.” He throws a leg over Yoongi's hip, straddling him. He holds back a laugh at the vampire's surprised expression and leans down to kiss him.

The kiss is the deepest they've ever shared. Jungkook puts all of his ‘boyfriend healing powers’ into it and pushes his face against him with a painful force. Yoongi laughs quietly into his mouth. “Jungkook,” he says as best as he can against the hungry mouth, “baby, please.”

Jungkook pulls away reluctantly, “I was so scared, Yoongi. I'm serious. I've never been more afraid in my life. I thought I lost you. You're my everything, you know? I've never ever felt like this towards anyone.” Tears start gathering in his eyes as he speaks, “Yoongi, I'm–” his words get cut off by a sweet kiss.

“I’m here. I'm okay, I'm so sorry for worrying you, baby,” he pets the back of Jungkook's head soothingly.

“You're so pretty,” Jungkook sobs and falls forward into the vampire's neck. Yoongi doesn't react and stares at the ceiling, unsure what to make of the words.

“Uhm, thank you,” he finally responds and the younger giggles. “I’ve never been told that before.”

At that Jungkook lifts his face from his neck and stares at him in disbelief, “Really? That's crazy because you are so so pretty. I’ve been wanting to tell you. You always tell me but you really are so pretty too, I need you to know this. You have to know,” he whines softly.

“Oh…” a bashful smile plays on his face and Jungkook has to lean in to kiss him again. His pretty pretty boyfriend.

Jungkook suddenly pulls away with a serious look on his face, “would drinking my blood help you heal faster?”

The vampire stares back at him, expressionless. Jungkook feels anxiety twist in his stomach, he ruined the moment, didn't he? He knows this is a sensitive topic and he selfishly brought it up. He starts to pull away from Yoongi but his grip on his arms tightens. He can't bear to look at him any longer, turning his head to the side.

“Jungkook, do you want me to be honest?” Jungkook can only nod at the words, still looking away. “Yes, it would,” the younger’s breath catches in his throat, “but I won't.”

“You don't want to?” Jungkook whispers into the tense air like it physically hurts him to speak. They sit in silence for a while, for the first time it's uncomfortable.

“It's not– I just… Jungkook, don't do this to me.”

“Do what? I know you want to so I'm saying I want to. I want it, Yoongi.”

The vampire closes his eyes and breathes in and out deeply. He starts to say something but then seems to decide against it. “Why?” he asks gently but with a pained expression.

“I don't know,” a knee-jerk reaction, he sighs and presses forward, “because I love you and I don't want you to hide your vampirism from me or pretend it doesn't exist or something. It's a part of you and I want to understand you better and maybe I just really want you to drink my blood so I'm asking you to.”

“I'm scared you'll leave once you know me fully,” Yoongi says with his eyes wet. “I love you, baby. I'm just scared I'll scare you away.”

“Okay, so bite me and I'll show you how not scared I am,” at which the vampire laughs and Jungkook breaks out in a smile at the sight. Not all hope is lost, he had begun to fear that he had ruined everything by making such a request.

“Okay, Jungkook.”

Jungkook's smile widens, “Okay?” he says giddily. Yoongi nods back at him, also smiling.

“I think we should switch positions,” he drawls. At the words, the younger enthusiastically rolls off of the man's hips onto his back. “You're really excited, huh?” Yoongi teases and Jungkook is glad he seems to be back to his normal self, more or less.

“Yeah I've been thinking about it a lot since the beach,” he expresses airily.

“Of course,” Yoongi snorts.

The vampire climbs on top of him and stares down directly into his eyes, “if you want me to stop early, tell me, okay?” he pauses before adding, “And if it hurts too much I'll stop immediately and I don't want you to–” Jungkook covers his mouth with his hand.

“Don't worry, I'll stop you if I need to. I want this.”

Yoongi nods, “Here I go,” Yoongi says in a deep voice but Jungkook giggles at the words. His giggles get louder when the vampire starts kissing his neck, right over his jugular vein. His hand comes up to hold Yoongi's head there, maybe to comfort Yoongi or to stop him from pulling away.

“Do you want me to count?”

Jungkook laughs airily, “I've never been so on edge in my life. Is this what sex is like?”

“So do I count or do I just do it?” Yoongi asks again, this time in a teasing tone.

“Oh my god, Yoongi. Just do it already,” he almost yells in frustration.

It feels like time stops when the vampire warms his neck with his breath before sinking his teeth into his neck. Jungkook gasps, his hand pulling at Yoongi's hair so strong it might tear. This is their own little world, a place no one else has access to.

Yoongi stays in place for a moment with his teeth sunken into his neck before starting to suck. He starts softly, Jungkook feels like his soul is being pulled from his body. He isn't sure if that's happening literally or if it only feels like that. A warmth simmers in his stomach, something soft and dangerous.

Right as he starts to relax into the feeling he feels the vampire suck harder. He tenses a bit before relaxing again. He isn't sure if he is breathing, he feels so aware of his body, but it's like he isn't even there. The longer the vampire sucks the more overwhelming the pleasure, somewhere in his brain he wonders why people have sex when they could feel something this intense instead.

He feels so so light like he could float away. The feeling starts fading and Jungkook tries to hold onto it, squeezing something soft as tight as he can. He can't lose it.

“Jungkook,” something says quietly in his ear. A familiar hand caressing his face. “Come back to me, baby.”

He forces his heavy eyes slightly open, everything is so heavy now. He feels Yoongi move his hand on top of his hand and he realizes the soft thing he was squeezing was Yoongi's arm. It's scratched. “Sorry,” he mumbles quietly.

“It's okay, Jungkook. You did so well,” Jungkook closes his eyes and smiles blissfully.

“I’ve never had sex but I think that was better than any sex with anyone could ever be, or any drug or like anything ever,” he turns his head and mumbles into the pillow.

When he tries to force his heavy eyes open again, he is pretty sure he sees Yoongi blushing.

“Baby, you need to sit up and drink some water,” he says to an almost asleep Jungkook as softly as possible.

The vampire helps him sit up and brings a cold glass to his lips. He didn't even realize how parched he was until the cold water touched his tongue. Yoongi supports the glass with his hand and caresses the back of his head as he drinks.

“Thanks,” he says and flops down on his back, regretting it when a sharp pain shoots through his head, wincing. He covers his face with his hands, groaning.

“Do you want to cuddle?” Jungkook nods, opening his arms wide for Yoongi. He chuckles deeply at his eagerness, although he wants to cuddle just as much if not more.

They tangle together, facing each other and pulling each other impossibly close. “I love you,” Jungkook whispers.

“I love you,” Yoongi whispers back. “You're so beautiful,” he nuzzles their noses together. Jungkook giggles at the feeling, turning his face away, letting out a little ‘Ah’.

“How did it feel?” the vampire asks with a sound of insecurity, “other than better than sex.”

“Mm, so good. Like, really, so good. Like I was floating away.” Yoongi just breathes. Jungkook opens his eyes, “How did it feel for you? Did I taste good?” he asks seriously.

Yoongi seems to get embarrassed easily by his vampire needs because he looks away to the ceiling, his mouth twitching with unsaid words. Jungkook presses his face into the side of Yoongi's face, “Won't you tell me?” the words get muffled into his skin.

“Good,” he says simply, holding back.

“That’s it?” he questions with suspicion.

“Yup.”

“Dummy,” he turns away and buries his face into the pillow. Jungkook loves Yoongi and what just happened but he can't lie and say he isn't sort of annoyed with the vampire at the moment. “Did you not want it?”

“I did,” he answers firmly. “Of course, I did,” a sadness in his voice that Jungkook doesn't understand but his annoyance melts at the sound.

“Okay, I'm gonna sleep.”

“Okay.”

Jungkook wakes up to the sound of sniffling. At first, he thought he was imagining it but he feels a wetness on the back of his shirt and strong hands squeezing around him.

“Yoongi?” he says groggily, feeling the body behind him tense.

“I'm so sorry, Jungkook. I'm so sorry,” he says so quietly Jungkook has to strain his ears to hear it in the quiet room.

“We’ll be okay,” is the only thing Jungkook can think of to say in the moment to comfort. He believes it but he hopes Yoongi believes it too.

“I liked it a lot, too much,” he sobs. “You taste so good.”

Jungkook breathes deeply, he loves it way too much. He is elated that Yoongi thinks his blood tastes good. “Okay, good. I'm gonna go back to sleep. We'll talk about it later. Don't even think about avoiding it.” he falls back asleep peacefully when he feels Yoongi softly chuckle behind him.
