Chapter Text

As Luz noceda went off to school, the witches start planning and constructing ways to get back to the boiling isles, although everything goes south when they find a laptop on the kitchen table.

"Huh. What's this?" Hunter asks, tilting his head a little.

"Oh em gee! It's a computer! I've read about these! It's said its one of the best inventions in human history!" Gus rants, excited to see what all the hype is and find out more about human culture.

"Well then, let's have a look" amity replies, smiling while she sits herself down and looks through the key's on the base of the computer.

"Okay, so how do you use this exactly?" Amity lifts her eyebrow, looking over at the others (primarily Gus) for any answers.

"It's to control the laptop." Vee suddenly says from the doorway, slithering in and taking control of the laptop.

..

"Woah! These videos never get old!!" Gus calls out, raising his hands in excitement. 

They've been scrolling through "mewtube" for awhile, looking at funny, scary and wholesome videos. By the looks of it they've been there for 3-4 hours.

"Hey guys," vee starts, the scrolling comes to an abrupt stop, "what's this?" She finishes, everyone's eyes locked onto one particular video thumbnail.

"Is that Luz?" Willow says, confused as to how that video has 12.6M views.

"How's she that famous!?" Gus calls, jaw agape as he thinks back to when he though 283 views was a good number to call yourself "popular"

"Well, let's watch it" amity shrugs, finally hearing her sing.

"hola everyone! Today I'm going to be singing "cup song"  with guitar! I haven't sung in ages so I'm a little rusty, same goes for the guitar hehe"

"When did she even make this? See, she has her scar right there." Hunter observes, pointing to her left eyebrow that very obviously has a scar.

"It says....27th of September 2022" vee replies looking at the description at the bottom of the video page.

"Anyway let's go back to watching!" Amity quickly presses the space button, shifting a little to get comfortable and places her head in her hand.

[Luz starts to stum the guitar, creating a melody for about 35 seconds before verse]

"I got my ticket for the long way 'round, two bottle of whiskey for the way" 

...

"and I sure would like some sweet company, but I'm leaving tomorrow what do you say?" 

"her voice is gorgeous..." Amity slurrs, her mouth agape as she watches her lover sing with heart shaped eyes

"when I'm gone..when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me by my hair you're gonna miss me everywhere.. oh, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone."

"i got my ticket for the long way 'round! The one with the prettiest of views!"

"it's got mountains it's got rivers its got sights to give you shivers, but it sure would be prettier with you"

"how is her voice so angelic?" Willow comments, amity just in her own simp world.

"Gotta give it to her she's a really good singer." Hunter admits, looking away with crossed arms.

"when I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me by my walk you're gonna miss me by my talk oh, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone..." 

"That's it everyone, I have more songs on my page so if you want to see more of that you can click my profile below and have a look! Adios!" 

And that's when the video ends.

"I'm at a loss for words.." amity mumbles, a red hue plastered on her face.

"Couldn't agree more." Vee agrees, sitting herself up and patting amity on the back, "you've got one hell of a girl there aye?" Vee looks over at her, giving her a smirk

"Y-yeah.." amity covers her face in her hands, mentally screaming.

"Well, we've gone this far, why turn back now?" Gus smiles, moving forwards and clicking Luz's profile, a whole new page coming up with her user, description and most of all, her videos.

This will be a fun journey!

"alright what we're going to do is go top to bottom. Luckily she only has 102 videos. The two being introductions or updates." Vee analyzes, squinting her eyes at the screen Infront of her.

They click a button, a list of videos filling the screen with titles and dates next to each one.

"Okay, let's start." Vee says, clicking the first video.

"hello everyone! I'm going to sing a quick song before school, I want to make sure I get home as soon as the hours end. I want to hang out with my girlfriend"

[Luz smiles, moving to camera so it shows the guitar she's holding.]

amity's face flushes a crimson red, squeaking a little and fidgeting with her thumbs as she watches on.

[Luz's hands graze the strings, pulling them in a careful, soft way creating a melody that's briefly filled with her calm, gentle voice.]

"never thought that I'd find..that the one in my life would be so near, and now you're here."

"No way she's singing about you amity." Hunter sighs, a little annoyed but drawn in to his sister-like voice.

"I got you, you got me..when its us babe you make me feel complete, you're all I need"

Amity tears up a little, her eyes glossy and her lip quivering slightly.

"Ooooh, ooh ohhh, maybe we could try..if you'll let me.." [Luz sings softly, her vocals cracking in a perfect pitch that makes the song more immersive.]

"Take you by the hand, you're the only one who understands.."

"Why is this so sad yet so touching.." Gus sniffles, dramatically wiping his eyes and frowning.

"I don't know Gus but whew, this is hitting me hard." Willow replies, patting Gus's shoulder while she stares down at the computer Infront of them.

[Luz begins to strum the quitar once more, no words coming out of her mouth except for slow humming.]

"So I guess that's it's time, I asked you to be mine for all my days, i hope you'll stay.." 

"I'm gonna cry.." amity places her head in her hands, still listening to the video but behind her closed palms.

"Let it out girl, it'd okay." Willow soothes, slightly confused for this type of reaction but she just thought to let it be, not wanting to cause any trouble.

"I'll admit, that i'm scared..cause I've never really cared as much as this, it's worth the risk.."

"oooh, ooh ohh, maybe we could try..if you let me..... T ake you by the hands, you're the only one who understands ooh oooh oh"

"Ooh, ooh, oh, maybe we could try if you let me....take you by the hand, you're the only one who understands.."

[the verse comes to a fading slow, the guitar stopping a little after the vocals end.]

"That was beautiful." Hunter breathes, knowing his sister will definitely get a body full of amity when she comes back home in a few hours.

"Couldn't agree more pal" Gus wraps his arm around hunters neck, pulling him into a side hug like some gangster movie scene.

"Well that it guys! Have a wonderful day! ¡Nos vemos pronto!" 

[The video cuts there and then, a smile still visible after the video ends.]

"I need a drink." Amity croaks, getting up and silently filling a glass from the cupboard with water.

"Alrighty everyone let's take a quick break shall we?" Vee breaks the silence, everyone nodding their heads in agreement as they all go off to get food and drinks.

What a long day this will be..

After their prolonged break, they all gather back around the laptop, turning it back on with a shift of the mouse and clicking the next video called:

"SC'S #3 | show me the stars "

"Do you have any idea what this song is vee?"hunter points to the title, an eyebrow lifted slightly.

"Nope," vee popped the P, resting her chin on the base of her palm and focusing on the video playing Infront of her.

"hello again! This is episode three of my songs covers, I know my introduction video doesn't count but who cares?" 

[Luz twists her hand in a so-so motion, placing her phone back onto her desk and lifting her guitar up to the cameras view.]

the pull of the strings begin, —an intro to a song— she hums along to the chords and sways her head a little.

"Space girl, show me the stars, you know the galaxy of my heart." 

"uh, is she talking about amity or is it just a figure of speech?" Gus squints his eyes and pauses the video as he looks at amity, (who's currently fan girling over Luz's voice yet again,) 

"I have no idea but let's just keep watching!" Amity smiles, pressing the space key to resume the video.

"are you a cancer? Cause you make me cry when we kiss sometimes. I n the sky, we're dancing in the sky!"

"I don't get it-"

"Me either man just keep watching.."

"Space girl, I saw a lunar eclipse, looks like how I feel 'bout your lips!"

"space girl, the only way that we'd end was if you were sucked into a black hole! But I still spend my days dreaming 'bout you."

"How does one aquire those vocals.." Gus mumbled.

"Don't ask me I have no clue! Ask someone who's a bard next time."  Hunter lifts his arms up in the air as if he was caught red-handed by coven scouts.

"Woooh ohh, dreaming 'bout you, woooh ohh, tell me how to, woooh ohh, stop dreaming 'bout you..woooh ooh.."

"That was alot of woh's and oh's.." vee says with a shrug.

"Hey but she was singing about dreaming about someone, is that a clue to a certain someone?" Willow smirked, looking over at the lavender-haired girl sitting in the middle of everyone.

"Maybe.." amity sighs dreamily, smiling at the girl on the screen.

"Kill me.." hunter whispers to Gus jokingly, receiving a smile in return.

"are you a cancer? Cause you make me cry, when we kiss sometimes. In the sky, we're dancing in the sky!"

"Okay no. What's with people and re-saying lyrics? What's the point? We already get it." Hunter scoffs, getting a fist to the ribs from amity.

"Ow! Hey! What was that for?" Hunter dramatically places his hand on his chest and lowed his jaw, looking at the culprit.

"For being the most grumpy, judgemental person in this whole friend group," amity side-eyes hunter, frowning with judgement herself.

"Ugh I can't with you, just play the titan-damned video." Hunter rolls his eyes, leaning over and pressing the space bar.

"You just paused it dude!" Gus looks over at him with a joking smile.

"Oh my titan okay I'll leave the technology for the women then." Hunter says with snarkiness behind his voice."

..

"I hope... you.. play... this song...s ome..day..and think..of...earth girl...who loves..space girl.."

"That's a lot of pauses for just a sentence." Willow says innocently, sipping her cup of water from earlier.

"Yeah..anyway" vee agrees, looking back to the screen.

"I hope... You.. play... This song...some..day..and think..of... earth girl...who loves..space girl.."

[the song fades out, the same lyrics playing on repeat for another 10-15 seconds before the guitar slows to a stop.]

"whew..that's done, see you again soon everyone!  ¡Adiós!"

"That was one heck of a song right there, bravo!" Gus exclaims, a dramatic tear falling down his cheek.

"You know even when I was being a bit of an idiot to Luz's obviously amazing singing, I have to admit I did enjoy it too.." hunter looks down, sighing.

"That was just perfect in every way. When Luz gets back I need to get her to teach me, maybe then I can sing with her like this!" Amity rants, getting up from her chair and pacing around the room thinking of things she could teach her.

"Okay that's enough girl, settle down." Willow walls over to amity, her hands resting on the latter's shoulders as she takes her back to her seat.

"Rrgghhh.." amity grunts, putting her head in her hands.

"Oh jeez do we need another break?" Vee asks apologetically, looking amongst the teens for an answer.

And when she didn't get one, she sighed. Tutting and she shifts in her chair to walk to the bathroom.

i wish Camila was down here so she can sort these chaotic children out.

Chapter Text

After yet another break, they once again gather around the table, exchanging glances for anyone to make a non-awkward move to do something.

"Okay so are we just going to sit around like a group of pigeons in the street or what?" Hunter sarcastically commented, scratching his jaw as he looks at the people around him.

As they all stand there awkwardly sniffing and mumbling, the front door unlocks, revealing a tired woman as she walks into the kitchen with a stretch, raising a brow to the teenagers gathered around a laptop.

"Hello! What are you kids up to?" Camila asks sweetly, placing the keys on the counter and going over to the coffee machine to brew some tea.

"We're looking at Luz's song covers series on MewTube!" Gus smiles widely, pointing enthusiastically at the computer Infront of him.

"Oh? I didn't know she did that sort of stuff, seeming as she's more wrapped up in the whole ``fanfiction`` malarkey." Camila finishes up her tea making, walking towards the kids and sitting amongst them to somewhat become a part of their reviewing circle.

"So, what is it we're going to watch now?" Camila breaks the tension, smiling warmly at the witches as they all look towards the laptop, pressing on a video and sitting back to view the screen better.

"hola everyone yet again! I'm at my piano right now, a little uncomfortable as I'm in my attic....don't ask why.."

"Okay Who let the neurodivergent kid sit around in an attic?" Vee asks, as if she's not neurodivergent herself.

"Don't question the ways of an audhd person." Amity remarks, acting like an offended old woman.

"Okay okay alright!" Vee raises her hands on defense as she goes back to the video.

"today I'll be singing two songs, the first will be; in the stars and the last will be say nothing! The links to the songs will be put in the description below. Enjoy! Or uh, okay nevermind."

"Why two songs in one video? She normally just does one song, So what's the point in making a video with two songs not but somewhat relevant to the series? That's just invalidating the whole point of the series?? Ugh okay whatever." Amity rants, trying not to sound rube but fails just a small bit.

"Okay girl, calm down a little yeah?" Willow asks calmly, placing her arm around the other girls shoulders and loosening the tension.

"Mmph." She grunts, leaning over to aggressively press the space bar to unpause the girl on screen.

" Sunday mornings were your favorite, I used to meet you down on Woods Creek Road..y ou did your hair up like you were famous, e ven though it's only church where we were goin' ."

"I'm guessing this is about someone, the wording seems aimed." Hunter analyses, his thumb and index resting on his chin as he squints at the laptop.

"Hmm, that could be a possibility." Amity replies, still eyeing the screen.

"Now, Sunday mornings, I just sleep in. I t's like I buried my faith with you.."

"Hold on is this about him?" Amity suddenly shoots her gaze towards Camila, her eyes wide and mouth slightly agape.

"It's a song made by someone else but she's definitely projecting with this song. So I suppose it is.." Camila shares eye contact with the lavender haired witch, a tiny blur visible in the bottom of her line of sight as she holds back tears.

"I'm screamin' at a God I don't know if I believe in 'Cause I don't know what else I can do .. I'm still holdin' on to everything that's dead and gone!

I don't wanna say goodbye, 'cause this one means forever, a nd now you're in the stars and six-feet's never felt so far.. h ere I am alone between the heavens and the embers.."

"Oh titan this is definitely a projection of a sort.." amity breathes, looking down at her hands in her lap as she sighs, fighting the tears that's pushing it's way out of her eyelids.

"What are you two on about? What's she projecting? I'm so confused..." Gus raises his eyebrow, exchanging glaces with amity.

"She never told any of you?" Amity asks, confused. Her friends look at her with a concerned look as they all shake their heads.

"Titan... Okay you guys I'll tell you later, right now we have a video to focus on." Amity pinches the bridge of her nose, absent-mindedly clicking the space bar again to unpause the video.

"Oh, it hurts so hard.. For a million different reasons.. Y ou took the best of my heart, And left the rest in pieces.."

"Her voice hurts me, in the sense that her vocalization is on peak that it makes me cry." Willow explains, her explanation wasn't all too good but it got through to everyone in the room.

"Couldn't agree more with you on that one." Vee replies, wiping an absent tear off her face.

"Diggin' through your old birthday letters, a crumpled 20 still in the box. I don't think that I could ever find a way to spend it, Even if it's the last 20 that I've got,

"Okay why the hell did that hit me like a train right there. There was no reason for that to be so sad yet so beautiful!?" Gus complains, shaking his best friend —willow— as he dramatically makes crying noises.

"Hey! Gus relax, it's okay." Willow soothes the overly dramatic boy, patting her hand on his own as he calms himself.

"Okay let's go back to this video now." Hunter simply states, nudging vee to press the unpause button.

"I'm still holdin' , holdin' , holdin' on! I'm still holdin' , holdin' , holdin' on! I 'm still holdin' , holdin' , I'm still holdin' on , I'm still, ooh, still holdin' on.."

"Emotional damage.." Gus mumbles, the reference only making itself known to him.

"I'm still holdin' on to everything that's dead and gone, I don't wanna say goodbye, 'cause this one means forever.. Now you're in the stars and six-feet's never felt so far, h ere I am alone between the heavens and the embers.

"Holy sh-MPH" amity covers hunters mouth quickly, making sure his sentence isn't finished before removing her hand and wiping his spit onto his shirt.

"No more words are to come out of your filthy mouth." Amity growls, her eyebrows furrowed in disgust as she sits back down onto her chair.

"Okay.......so how was that video?" Vee asks the witches, making a quick glance towards Camila, giving her an understanding smile before looking back at the others.

"That was more sadder than the other songs in my opinion." Willow frowns, the teenagers nodding in agreement.

"Anyway back to the video, we still have a little bit left before it ends." Vee was quick to add, unpaying the video for the 30th time.

"Where do you go when you always feel so low, All my scars are so loud And all my friends are burned out.. So I don't let the sickness show. I know you mean well But it's best that I don't speak.."

"Okay amity dont stop me with this but what the actual fuck? Now this is her using a song to project her self esteem? No way. We have to speak to Luz about this." Hunter says, concern drawn on his face as he looks between his friends.

"I agree, Mi hija has done acts of self harm for a long time..started when she was 6. Although she's never openly mentioned it.." Camila sadly explains, her focus locked onto the floor as she plays with her thumbs.

"Oh titan." Amity frowns deeply, the group following suit.

"Yeah it's decided, we're having a serious talk with that girl." Hunter nods to the others, everyone agreeing.

"Somehow I'm always upset And I would rather be dead Than ever drag you down with me."

"I'm so close to walking out that door and hugging that hurting girl so tight she becomes immobile and I can keep an eye on her at all times." Hunter chews the inside of his mouth, fists on the table as he hunches over, looking at the screen.

"Oi, we're not promoting any violence here, if you are to lay any malicious fingers on her I swear to titan you'll be missing the daylight being locked up in a basement cell." Amity threatens, her voice cold and her gaze never leaving the blondes.

"Okay! Okay, I'm sorry.." hunter quickly apologizes, looking at the other three witches and the adult taking care of them, seeking any help.

When he gone nothing in return, he just sighed and sat back down, huffing and crossing his arms over his chest like a sulking puppy.

"Feelin' like a burden for hurtin' And I don't know why.. Don't know why.. Feelin' like a burden for hurtin' And I don't know why.

I'm a mess, So depressed. It's hard to get out of my head, In the end it's probably best to say nothing, Say nothing.."

"We're not mentioning this whole channel in our intervention right?" Gus asks, genuine curiosity written on his face as he looks over at the people around him.

"No, we're not. We weren't meant to find this channel but we happened to come across it and were intrigued. If we mention the channel, she'll feel threatened and humiliated. If we keep it anonymous, she won't feel that way and we can talk to her better than if we were to mention the account to her." Amity explains, everyone mumbling their agreements as the all turn back to the video, watching it.

"My defense, all my friends they like me more when I pretend..In the end it's probably best to say nothing, Say nothing."

"I...ok...." Camila mumbles somewhat- teary eyed but not shedding any tears.

"Where do you go when you're healing way too slow? Cause the pressure I feel To keep it all concealed Makes me wanna be alone..

On the surface I'm fine But the walls are caving in, It's a struggle no doubt, I'd rather shut down Than be judged for who I am.."

"Definitely projecting material right there.." willow says, blinking back guilty tears.

"Mhmm.." everyone humms, still fixated on the screen up front.

"Feelin' like a burden for hurtin' And I don't know why.. Don't know why.. Feelin' like a burden for hurtin' And I don't know why.

I 'm a mess, So depressed. I t's hard to get out of my head, In the end it's probably best to say nothing, Say nothing.."

"another go at repetitive lyrics. No complaints, just saying.." hunter shrugs, an angry side eye from amity catching his attention before he gazes over to the screen again.

"My defense, All my friends They like me more when I pretend.. In the end it's probably best to say nothing, Say nothing."

"Stop pushing me and let this go, It's better that you never know Cause I would rather hold it in Til I run out of oxygen Than spill it out and lose control."

"I'm getting more concerned for her every second this song plays." Camila whispers, sighing.

"It's better that you never know, If I don't keep my secrets safe The ones I love would never stay..They never stay, They never stay.." luz sheds a couple tears, sniffing a little before continuing.

"It's getting hard to breathe sometimes, I don't wanna be alive some nights. Just trying to find a reason why.. Just trying to find a reason why..

"It hurts because she's talking about us. She thinks we won't trust her if she tells us her thoughts, secrets, whatever..I wish I could just take all of those burdens and hold them in my own heart. I can take it." Amity cries, knowing that Luz will be very concerned when she comes back and sees her girlfriend with bloodshot eyes. (Even though she won't be home for another 4 hours) .

"I'm a mess, So depressed. It's hard to get out of my head, In the end it's probably best to say nothing, Say nothing.."

"My defense, All my friends They like me more when I pretend.. In the end it's probably best to say nothing, Say nothing.."

"Stop pushing me and let this go, It's better that you never know I would rather hold it in Til I run out of oxygen Than spill it out and lose control."

"This hurts to listen to, im getting something to eat really quickly." Vee sniffles, getting up and walking to the other side of the room to pick up whatever she finds appetizing.

"It's better that you never know ,If I don't keep my secrets safe The ones I love would never stay, They never stay.. They never stay..."

As the song slows to a stop, everyone is left to stare at the screen, the video ending shortly after, not even a ``bye everyone!`` or ``see you later guys, be back soon!" It's just a silent end to the video with a teary eyed girl behind it.

they don't even know how long they can keep up with this, but I guess they'll get through it. Emotional or not.

"okay so now that we did that, how about we watch the next one aye?" Hunter attempts to say, his tone sounding cold and off-putting.

"Alright but please refrain from sounding like a wheezy horse." Gus said jokingly, elbowing him in his side and chuckling.

"Enough you two. Now let's get to watching." Camila half-heartedly scolds, clicking onto the next video below.

"hola everyone! So today I'm going to be singing a song I found online by an artist named Khalid. I hope you all enjoy this video!" 

[Luz picks up her guitar from her wall behind the screen, her hand placed over the camera for a short time of privacy before sitting back into the chair and lifting her hand off of its rested position.]

'this is going to be fun" willow happily comments, a hand gently tapping Amity on the shoulder.

"So you're still thinking of me, Just like I know you should. I can not give you everything, you know I wish I could.."

"Oh wow what a way to start a song." Hunter laughs, a few glares shooting daggers from their places beside him.

"Yeah, okay now let's continue." Amity grunts, looking back at the screen with a found smile.

I'm so high at the moment, I'm so caught up in this. Yeah, we're just young, dumb and broke But we still got love to give!"

"High? What does that mean?" Gus asked innocently, vee and Camila looking at each other with a slightly fearful expression in their eyes.

"We'll tell you when you're older.." vee tries, getting a pout from the boy behind her.

"While we're young dumb, Young, young dumb and broke ! Young dumb, Young, young dumb and broke. Young dumb, Young, young dumb and broke, Young dumb broke high school kids!"

"What kind of childhood did this girl even have??" Hunter slightly shouts, not getting anything from the music Infront of him.

"Hunter I suggest you shut your mouth before i personally beat you up." Amity sharply comments, pausing the video quickly before summoning an abomination shard and pressing it against the space under his chin.

"Woah woah!! Kids cut it out before Luz finds something she doesn't want to see.." camila raises her hand in a "stop" position, amity quickly obligating with hunter following close behind.

"Yadadadadadadada.. Yadadadadadadada, Yadadadadadada.. Young dumb broke high school kids!

"What's with the ``yadada`` malarkey? What's that supposed to be??" Gus smiles with curiosity, not knowing that it's just some things humans do to make a song sound more lively.

"Thats another thing we can explain later Gus." Willow assures him before vee has any space to explain.

"We have so much in common, We argue all the time.. You always say I'm wrong, I 'm pretty sure I'm right." 

amity sees the smile on her face, knowing all too well that it's directed at her somewhat..even though the song is sung by a complete stranger she has no idea of, it still feels like it's about them... or - at least - a little bit about them.

"What's fun about commitment? When we have our life to live.. Yeah, we're just young dumb and broke, But we still got love to give.

"This is like...the fifth time? I think? That Luz has repeated a lyric. When is a song she's going to sing going to be one with no repeats?" Hunter complains. Everyone knows he talks a lot but when they started watching these videos he's non-stop yapped for ages.

Everyone thinks their going to lose their ears from this.

"I heard it's because it can feel more real. A song needs emotion and repetitive lyrics helps with that......that's what I heard anyway.." gus explains, his joy evident as he waves his hands.

"Hm..that's actually pretty cool!" Vee says, she hasn't really gotten any educative things about music so knowing Gus and his obsession with human culture, she'll get to know a lot more than she anticipated.

"Yadadadadadadada, Yadadadadadada, Yadadadadadadada.. Young dumb broke high school kids!"

"I'm still so confused about what the ``yadada`` thing is all about.." Gus mumbles, everyone laughing at his dramatic antics.

"Jump then we think, leave it all in the game of love, Love.. Run into sin, do it all in the name of fun, Fun..

Amity let go of him with and push, snarling as she sits back down and summons her scroll, uninterested at the comments from the others at her outburst.

"grrrhh" hunter grunts, fed up of the amount of ``breaks`` they've had. He just wants this to end already.

"Oi you! Can we watch now?" Amity lightly punches his shoulder, indicating towards the computer with the screen showing the next Song cover.

"Fine.." hunter rolls his eyes, gaining a side-eye from the girl next to him.

"Hold on guys! It's a duet!" Gus exclaims happily, pointing to the title which reads

"No way..this is what she wanted to sing with me?" Amity blushes, squeaking when everyone around her fills the room with awes.

"Alright let's get this over with." Hunter grumbles, willow staring daggers into his soul as he becomes stiff.

"the voice overlapping is actually angelic...no..heavenly...no..I don't know how to explain it!  It just itches my brain right —as humans will say— in all the best places" amity stutters, flustered by the way her girlfriend was able to pull of a deep voice like that, even if it was edited that way.

"Okay girl we get it." Willow sighs, patting the other girl on her back before turning her gaze back towards the screen.

"Alright alright! Relax! Dear titan!" Hunter lifts his hand up in defeat, rolling his eyes yet again at the shorter girl.

"oh okay." Gus elbows hunter in the shoulder, his dry responses are getting old now.

"Fine." He responds, amity and vee smirking at him with mischief as he becomes soft for his found brother.

"I still think the editing skill is just beyond perfect for this piece. Especially with the instruments and the way her raspy, deep voice corresponds to Amity's soft, high voice. " Vee smiles, amity trying to hide a blush from everyone.

She fails :(

"Will this always be just an arrangement? We'll find out in time if we don't break it.

Can mine become yours? Combining our dreams without keeping score?"

"still can't get rid of that itching feeling.. what even is It? The fu-"

"It's a sensation you feel when you hear something you like. Your brain reacts to that making you do certain stuff your body would probably to if you're exposed to different temperatures." Camila quickly interrupts hunter, smiling awkwardly as she sips the coffee she got earlier.

"I love her voice.." amity smiles, a soft blush plastering her face as she watches with heart filled eyes.

"aw dang it it's almost the end" Gus frowns, pouting as he shuffles in his seat with a cup of apple juice in hand.

"Yeah.. unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it much because g these two little gremlins" vee points to the culprits across the table with a smirk on her face, getting an apologetic glance from one and a bored glance from the other.

"Anyhow.."

"No no no no no what was that? ``maybe one day I can learn to love you too`` ??? I already love her so much.. I didn't know the meaning at first when she recorded it but now I see it I can't just let that slide no way!"

"Hey, girl relax. There may be hidden meaning but can we just move on to the next video in a little bit? We can take a very short break for now." Willow reassures, amity's shoulders relaxing from it's tense position as she sighs, shaking her head lightly.

"Okay.." she responds, wiping a stay tear away.

She's loved this girl since a few months ago and now listening to that part of the song makes her wonder if Luz thinks she doesn't love her like she thinks she does.

Only time will tell..

"okay so it was just a verse how has it affected you so much amity?" Hunter questioned, his normal dry facade gone and a more soft expression present.

"It's just that when Luz got me to sing these lyrics for her I didn't really think about what the lyrics actually told.

And now I get to see it in the bigger picture, it feels alien.. Like I wasn't the one who sung it, but a monster plaguing Luz's state of mind." Amity explains solemnly, head rested in her hands as she looks towards the paused screen Infront of her.

"It's alright am's. I might not know how to help directly but how about we watch another video? Maybe that'll help." Willow smiles, her hand placed on the other girls shoulder.

"Okay.. also thank you willow. I..Im glad You're here." Amity looks up at her with a mirrored smile, silently thanking her for the unnecessary yet needed comfort.

"No problem!" Willow turns towards the computer, patting amity on her shoulder before moving her arm towards her hip.

"Alright now that we're done with all that let's get watching. How does that sound?" Camila gestures to the screen displaying the list of videos, the witches sharing there 'yeah' 's before clicking on the next video.

"hello everyone! Today I'll be singing one of my favourite songs; looking out for you by joy again! Hope you guys enjoy and make sure you head down to the comments if you have any song suggestions!

without further ado, let's get started!" 

"Hope this song won't be upsetting. She currently has a habit to sing really dark songs and I'm very much getting tired of it." Hunter mumbles, amity's eyes shooting towards him with a quick flash of purple.

"Woww so scary! Don't kill me!" Hunter sarcastically says, amity lunging at him with fire in her eyes.

"Woah woah woah calm down! Break it up you two!" Gus exclaims, his eyes widening at the scene in front of him.

"Kids settle down or I'll pull out la Chancla and you've heard what happens to Luz.." camila warns, her stare scarier than any of the kids.

Amity snarls, ripping her hand away from hunters hair and jumping off of him, "yes Camila," the words stumbling out her throat, her gaze never leaving the older boy as she settles in the seat a few feet away.

"Animal." Hunter groans, getting up from the floor and dusting himself off before slouching into his chair and avoiding the girls gaze with a Huff.

"Good. Now we've resolved that let's actually watch the video shall we?" Camila asks, ignoring the slight tension in the room.

"Titan, yes." Vee sighs in thanks, leaning over and clicking the on the video.

"I guess I should stop.. looking out for you, like I always do. When will you start looking out for me, too Instead of leaving me staring at my shoes?"

"Right. Still a cool song but I see where the tension is." Gus analyzes, willow nodding in agreement.

"Why do most songs humans sing have such depressing lyrics? Like where's the good stuff?" Hunter says in annoyance, amity tilting her head as she always does when she's deep in thought.

"I don't know.. maybe because it makes it more relatable? Luz has told me humans have a habit of thinking negatively about other people and themselves, so making a song with lyrics that implement negative thoughts makes it somewhat better to listen to. But she has mentioned that that's not always the case, that's there's definitely songs out there that are as positive as ever." Amity explains, looking towards Camila to see if she got any of that right.

"As i understand, songs have mixed messages. Not always negative and not always positive. But song writers always add both in a song like the one we're currently listening to. It's not always necessarily negative or positive though, it's they way the viewer sees it that makes it either one." Camila adds, making it more-or-less better than the previous.

"I'd recommend looking it up. But either way it's what the viewer sees in the song that makes it a negative or a positive." Camila answers, cringing and the overuse of the words "negative and positive".

"Anyway please for once can we watch this I'm actually going to implode." Vee comments with a tired face. She likes knowing more about the HR but right now she just wants to get this over with.

"Mhrrr Alright alright." Gus contemplates, a playful smile evident as he enthusiastically reaches over and taps the space key to resume the video.

"It's just the way you're glancing at me, something about you just makes me feel guilty for liking you..when you're with him, when you're with him."

"HIM?? BLEUAGH GROSS!" amity shouts, lifting off the table and slamming her hands down, snickering heard from all around the table.

"What!? Men are vile creatures and you'll never catch me even remotely close to romantic towards them!" Amity grunts, huffing in disgust as she makes her way towards the cupboards, grabbing a glass and filling it with the apple juice left on the counter.

"Does that mean you hate me?" Gus frowns dramatically, puppy eyes and all.

"Wha- no! I mean men like him! Vile I say, vile!" Amity wide eyed before pointing her finger angrily in hunters direction, her fangs on display.

"Wow okay." Hunter scoffs, his gaze still on the computer.

"I'm actually going to smack you both if you don't keep your mouths shut for even a minute!" Vee snaps, shutting the other teenagers up in a span of 5 seconds.

"Finally..peace and quiet at last!" Vee dramatically lifts her head to face the ceiling, eyes closed and hands clasped together in a prayer like position.

"Okay enough, let's finish this." Willow says, strait faced before leaning over and pressing the space key yet again.

"This is a love song for a girl who will never know it's about her I know it's pretty stupid, but I'm much too shy to tell her."

"Ooo it's about you am-"

"Not another word or I swear to titan" vee angrily slaps her hand over hunters mouth, amity snickering from a few feet away.

"She's beaming that smile, all the while. I'm all choked up on my own throat, I guess there is no hope"

"Okay no because that's actually so cute I can't!" Vee says, ignoring the offended look on hunters face, hand still clasped around his mouth.

"I knowww!" Willow beams, looking over at amity who is currently fighting of a blush.

"And we're walking out in the snow, I say ``I guess I should go.`` "

"go? Why-"

"Shut it."

"Ok!"

"And we're talking 'bout someone else when we should be talking about ourselves it's the same old situation, you've always got me waiting. Come on, dear, I think time's a-wastin' ! 

Before we have to go back inside and return to our normal lives!"

"okay no we're not ignoring that 'dear'. It may be a song but thats definitely not something I'd hear her say to someone she loves." Vee says, finally removing her hand from the boys mouth.

"Agreed"

"Im not forgetting you putting your hand over my mouth you know that ri- MNPHH!" vee puts her hand on his mouth again, looking at him with an annoyed expression.

"Are you going to shut up now?" Vee asked somewhat harshly, hunter violently nodding his head before vee removed her hand yet again.

"This is a love song for a girl who will never know it's about her, I know it's pretty stupid but I'm much too shy to tell her. She's beaming that smile, all the while I'm all choked up on my own throat I guess there is no hope"

"Besides the frequent interruptions that song was actually really sweet and definitely better than some of the previous ones." Willow smiles, looking over at amity who has her own smile written on her face, bold and clear.

"Amity's such a simp-"

"I'll actually hit you shut up!" Amity growled, hunter shaking his head ever so slightly at her.

"If you start fighting again I'm going to call animal control, you hear me?" Vee looks around the room, primally at the two snapping at each other.

"Im going to grab some bananas.. I'll be back dudes" Gus stands, nodding as he walks over to the island with the fruit basket.

Could sure do with a can of soda right now..

"leash that beast right there he's the feral one." Amity rolls her eyes as hunter literally growls, stopping just as quickly as he started when he realized what just happened, everyone laughing around him.

"I hate you so much blight" hunter snaps, vee smacking the back of his head with quite a bit of force.

"OW! Hey! I'm allowed to hate her she literally is the definition of what humans call Satan!" Hunter points to the smirking girl Infront of him from across the table, her eyes full of mockery and amusement.

"Thank you hunter, that's the nicest thing you've said to me all year." Amity says sarcastically, hunter scoffing in retaliation.

"Stop you two!" Gus exclaims, head in his hands as he shakes it in disapproval.

"Alright Gus..sorry." hunter says softly, completely changing his tone and body language.

"Wow. Never thought you'd be the 'cinnamon roll' of the group." Amity says with a genuine laugh, hunter side eyeing the girl.

"ANYWAY! Let's actually watch the video yeah? Otherwise I'll suck all your magic out of you." Vee says, tired of all of the others bullshit repetitive arguments.

"Woahhh too far."

"Sorry.."

Vee mouths an apology again towards Gus, him responding with a 'its okay man you already apologized' .

"Ok let's get this over with shall we?" Amity smiles at the others, willow nodding her agreement with Camila, Gus and hunter shrugging and vee violently nodding her head like it's a lifeline.

"Right." Amity breathes out, reaching over and pressing the touchpad to open the video.

"hola everyone! Another day, another cover! So let's get started. This song is quite heavy. This isn't about me so there isn't any reason to worry. Anyway, hope you enjoy and I'll see you later!"

"alright this one we shouldn't get worked up over. She said it's a heavy topic but it isn't about her ok? We've established that?" Hunter looks around the table wanting them to agree.

"Agreed. Let's not take this out of context."

"Okay"

"Oh my titan you guys have finally realized these aren't real and just songs! What a relief. I thought I had to actually thoroughly explain to you that it isn't Luz's songs." Vee dramatically wipes non-existent sweat off her forehead.

When she got looks of confusion, she nodded her head at the previous question, gaining various nods back as the former golden guard resumed the video.

"I hurt myself today to see if I still feel, I focus on the pain..the only thing that's real."

"Okay wait hold on you sure this is fake? I swear I saw her gripping onto her forearm...." Amity mumbles the end, shifting her gaze to anywhere but Infront of her, trying to look for answers to a question she's been unsure of for a while.

"What was that about amity? You okay?" Willow puts her hand on the latter's shoulder, looking down at her with concern.

"N..nothing it's okay.." amity smiles sadly, still uncertain.

"Alright. We can talk later if you want." Willow smiles back softly, trying to calm her friend next to her.

"No no it's fine" amity reassures, patting willow a couple times on her hand before turning back to the computer, willow sadly let's go of her after, finding herself drift her gaze back to the computer too.

"The needle tears a hole, the old familiar sting try to kill it all away. But I remember everything..what have I become?"

"just making sure you all remember to gather around the living room for a chat with Luz. She needs it." Camila looking at the kids around her, all of them nodding except for...amity..

"Amity, sweetie, you ok?" Amity looks up to Camila, nodding quickly before dropping her head back down to her lap, avoiding her gaze once more.

"Yeah I'm okay Camila, I also I agree. Sorry.."  amity mumbles, barely audible but Camila hears it and accepts it as it's the best she'll get out of her for now.

"My sweetest friend, everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all, my empire of dirt.."

"Empire of dirt? What is she? A worm?" Hunter laughs, ignoring the heavy lyrics before it.

"Hunter you don't even know what it is.." vee questions, hunter looking at her with an offensive look on his face.

"Of course he does! We researched it! It's like a slimy piece of string that multiplies when it's cut for some odd reason.. but that besides the point because worms live in dirt! He made a cool reference isn't that awesome!!" Gus explains in excitement, vee looking at him with disgust, amity mirroring the expression herself.

"It multiplies!? When it's cut!? SLIMY? no thank you please just keep that to yourself.." amity dramatically holding her hands over her mouth, fake gagging as she looks at the younger boy, his smile faltering slightly.

"Oh now you're just a party pooper.." Gus pouts playfully, shaking his head in disappointment before diverting his gaze towards the screen once more.

"I will let you down, I will make you hurt. I wear this crown of thorns upon my liars chair full of broken thoughts."

"I know she's not projecting but like 'i will make you hurt'  is definitely not something she does. Not willingly anyway." Hunter shrugs, his playful posture gone, completely replaced with sympathy.

"Agreed. She might have hurt some of our feelings but she didn't do it with the intention of hurting us. You know what I mean?" Vee says, everyone sharing their "mhm" 's around the table.

"Yeah I get what you mean."

"Samee"

"Yeah."

"I cannot repair beneath the stains of time, the feelings disappear, you are someone else, I'm still right here. What have I become?"

"Our friend is what she's looking for. For one particular person however, it'll be girlfriend. Maybe for a couple it'd be found family or found sibling." Willow explains for the others, pretending she knows what Luz meant (don't ask me how that works)

"Yep"

"Mhm."

"My sweetest friend, everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all, my empire of dirt."

"I'm telling you! this isn't a coincidence! She's a worm!" Hunter jokes, everyone laughing with him as he points aggressively at the screen.

"Yeah yeah okay!" Vee pulls him back into his chair, hunter grunting as all his breath leaves him when he plummets into the seat behind him.

"You really need to stop that" hunter frowns, vee smirking back at him.

"I will let you down, I will make you hurt, if I could start again a million miles away, I would keep myself..I would find a way.."

As the video slows to a stop, Luz waves her goodbye and the video ends, everyone looking at each other with very mild concern in their faces.

"So we're not going to-"

"Nope"

"Right, okay..?"

"Well I'm uh...going to head to the bathroom. I'll be back." Amity smiles solemnly, rushing out the kitchen and into the bathroom around the corner, slamming the door and locking it behind her.

her breaths become shallow as she grips her hair tightly, sinking to the floor with heavy, desperate breaths.

Her state of panic escalates as she sobs, tears running down her cheeks in a silent plea she's okay.

Her vision blurring as her chest tightens, her palms colliding with the side of her head repeatedly as she tries to stop the thoughts tunneling through her brain.

"amity?" ...

Their voices were muffled and slurred together, indecipherable.

She tried her hardest to listen. She really did but the pumping of her blood rushing to her head was louder than any form of words.

Amity raised her hand to hold onto the sink bowl, lifting herself up from the tiled floor below her as she again, sobs her heart out.

Those malicious thoughts running around her head like a toy train, filling it with nothing but grief for a non-existent loss.

"you okay carinõ?" Camila called from the other side of the door, knocking lightly to not startle her but loud enough for her to hear.

"M...mhm..." Amity voices in a raspy reply, stumbling towards the door handle and unlocking it with a click! before plummeting into Camila's arm, sobbing harder from the comfortability of another's touch.

"No you're not hun.. cmon let's get you back to the kitchen and we can get you some food and a drink, yeah?" Camila smiled warmly, amity looking up at her with red, puffy eyes before nodding softly.

She's so glad she can have a parental figure while they're all here. Odalia and her dad never really thought about what she wanted.. They always thought so highly of her and when she didn't get that A+ she'd get hit, grounded or lectured.

I wish I had a mom like Camila..

Making their way in the kitchen, the other kids were either eating, drinking a caprisun or talking to one another. 

"Alright would you like a couple jam sandwiches and a caprisun? I can also head upstairs and pass you one of Luz's hoodies if that'll make you feel better sweetie." Camila pointed around the room towards the things she was labeling, making sure amity understood a bit better.

With a small nod Camila first headed upstairs to get one of Luz's cat hoodies, heading downstairs and passing it to her before getting to work with the food.

"You alright now amity? What happened?" Willow took the initiative, patiently waiting for an answer she wasn't sure she'd get.

"I uhm....I was thinking back to the uh..song and I thought back to the time i....i saw Luz cleaning a razor blade, bloodied stains littering her jacked sleeve." Amity started, Camila stopping midway through spreading the jam on the second sandwich to turn around in concerned shock, everyone else somewhat mirroring the action.

"The lyrics brought me back to that night and I panicked so I shut myself in the bathroom to calm myself down.." amity continued, Camila frowning and hunter nodding in understanding. Willow, Gus and vee just looking on confused and full of concern.

"Guys I can't lose her I really can't! I've nearly lost her once and I can't go through that again. She's my everything and if she's gone I don't know if I'll ever forgive myself.." amity cried, tears already staining the hoodie after only a minute of being worn.

"Hey amity how about we watch another song cover? I'm pretty positive this is a wholesome one." Gus smiled, walking amity over to the table with his hands on her shoulders, patting them before going to sit at his own spot.

"Alright.. I think I'll be okay. Thank you all by the way, I really appreciate your company" amity looked around the table with mild guilt, grinning softly as she looks down at the screen.

"Okay let's get this going shall we?" Gus asked rhetorically, leaning over and pressing the space bar before anyone could answer.

"hola! Today I'll be singing a song I've come to love again after a few years of absent listening. This isn't going to a rough one don't worry! But anyway, let's get started!"

"I knew it!" Gus exclaimed, everyone looking is way with a smirk.

"You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain! Too much love drives a man insane. You broke my will, but what a thrill..goodness gracious, great balls of fire!"

"this is pretty catchy." Hunter said after being silent for awhile, getting affirmative nods from the others around him.

He could do with a cough mint, amity thought after hearing his voice, raspiness evident in his throat.

"Honey? Never heard that ``pet name`` before.." hunter contemplates his next sentence before getting blown in the gut with an oomf! .

"You're insufferable." Amity snaps, her eyebrows furrowing as she frowns with annoyance.

"Yeah, yeah okay." Hunter huffs, turning his attention back to the screen.

"I've changed my mind, this love is fine goodness gracious, great balls of fire!

"This is so unpleasing. Worse than the other mushy so- OW!" hunter grunts, his upper arm getting a blow from amity yet again, his face her next target.

"Alright kids settle down. Here you go amity, I cut up a banana for you too." Camila walks over to the young girl, placing the plate of food Infront of her with a caprisun to the side.

"Why does she get to have a waiter but we all have to get our own stuff?" Hunter questions, genuine curiosity visible in his tone although being a little snarky about it.

"Because right now she feels vulnerable and touching certain objects may cause her to have a sensory overload." Camila explained, hunter nodding in thanks.

"Wait how do you know i-"

"Luz told me"

"Of course she did."

"You're fine, so kind, got to tell this world that you're mine, mine, mine..mine."

"Titan Luz we get it!" Vee laughs, everyone else snickering around her.

"I chew my nails and then I twiddle my thumbs. I'm really nervous but it sure is fun!

"Sh-shut up!" Amity squeaks in embarrassment, hiding her face in the hood as she tightens it with the drawstring.

"You are so down bad it's unbelievable!" Hunter mocks, rolling his eyes in amusement as she looks at him, eyes piercing his vision.

"Say one more word and it'll be your jaw next." Amity raises her fist towards the boy, hunter quickly clenching it shut as he quietly hunches over in his seat, not making an attempt to act on anything.

he's seen what could happen from experience in eclipse lake..

After her threat she heads over to the over side of the kitchen, grabbing a mug before making herself some coffee, ghost walking up to her and brushing herself against the fabric of her sweatpants.

"Oh hello ghost! Whatcha up to?" Amity asks, getting a meow in response.

Ghost can't wait for her human mom to come home so they can both cuddle and be happy after a long day of school.

That's not a bad idea actually..! Maybe amity should take ghosts advice on romance more.

After finishing up with the coffee machine, Amity picks Ghost up, nuzzling her before putting her back on the planked floor as she grabs herself a banana from the fruit bowl.

"you almost ready `bossy boots` ?"  Hunter snickers, amity glaring at him as Ghost paws at her leg.

"Actually shut the #### up." Amity snaps, Gus making a "BEEP" noise with his illusion magic to cover the swear word.

"Amity settle down. Hunter stop provoking her." Camila says, both children obeying in a well mannered way.

"Sorry Camila.."

"Yeah sorry..."

"Okay let's watch the next video shall we?" 

"Yeah, let's."

As amity sits back in her designated spot at the table, Vee clicks onto the next video, hoping to god it isn't an agnsty one.

Oh, how she was so wrong..

"hola! Today I'll be playing uh..stargazing by Myles Smith! I'll be playing it on piano with some guitar chords edited in. Hope you enjoy!!"

"Considering the way you treated her in the first few weeks she was in the BI, she really cares and loves you amity. Cherish it. No matter what happens." Willow smiles, her statement touching everyone in the room.

"Hey, it's okay. We got through it together didn't we? And you already apologised silly!" Willow laughed, gus chuckling a little in the background.

"Yeah.. luz is awesome." Amity quickly adds before realising what she said.

"Inheritance from manny I guess.." camila quietly says, amity looking over at her solemnly.

"Off topic but I have seen you two sneak onto the roof and stargaze. Both owl house and here." Gus smiles, looking over to see amity holding her breath, embarrassed.

"You did what!?" Camila accidentally raises her voice slightly, her gaze directed at amity.

"Hey now, by the looks of it most of the songs she's sung has been for you or about you. One of then was even WITH you!! So don't sit there thinking you're not good enough for her because if she goes through lengths of saving your ass, becoming your girlfriend and even caring for you when you're at your lowest than I don't know why she would think any less of you." Vee complains, huffing when she finishes.

"Yeah..I guess you're right..sorry for being a mess guys.." Amity mumbles barely audible, rubbing her eyes.

"It's okay! It happens." Willow rubs the girls back, gaining a smile from the latter.

Gus clicked off the video, scrolling a little before clicking the next title below

"Hey! We didn't even get to read the title!!" Hunter groaned, reaching over and pausing the video to read.

"Wow, okay you could've just asked" Gus rolled his eyes playfully before unpausing it, leaning back and ignoring the glare Hunter gave him.

"Hihi!! The song i'll be singing today is a little special for me as i used to listen to it constantly with my papi. Hes not here with us today but i wanted to sing this for him. The song i'll be playing and singing to is called 7 years by Lukas Graham. Enjoy!" Luz spoke softly behind the screen, tapping nervously on the strings before clearing her throat.

"She looks hesitant.." Amity pointed out, chewing her bottom lip slightly in discomfort.

"Agreed.. but lets get through this video, yeah?" Willow placed a hand on the girls shoulder, giving her a warm smile before turning back to the screen."

"Okay..here we go!"

"Once i was seven years old, my mama told me «Go make yourself some friends, or you'll be lonely» once i was seven years old."

"Oh? Sad start here i guess.." Hunter commented, frowning a little.

"Dear titan..i guess she can!" Vee spoke in awe, smiling down at her sister on the screen.

"I am not joking when i say that is actually so inspiring and her voice is so crisp here i could just combust into atoms right now." Vee grinned widely, elbowing amity a couple times voicing an 'Eh? Eh??' At her.

"Yeah, yeah i know her voice is awesome but you dont have to remind me" amity said with a lovesick look on her face, smiling like a dork while her eyes were closed.

"okay you can shut up now and leave all that coupley stuff for when she gets home!" Hunter says with an annoyed grunt, rolling his eyes and turning back to the computer infront of him.

"Soon, we'll be thirty years old, our songs have been sold. We've traveled around the world, and we're still roaming. Soon, we'll be thirty years old."

"This is getting more and more deep i swear.." willow spoke softly in a saddened tone, watching the screen with slight glossy eyes.

"Mhm.." amity replied in sync with gus.

"i'm still learning about life, my woman brought children for me so i can sing them all my songs and i can tell them stories. Most of my boys are with me, some are still out seeking glory and some i had to leave behind, my brother, im still sorry!"

"Okay, no. Dont stop me from saying this but what the fuck? Why is she apologizing??" Amity raised a concerned brow, frowning as she shifted her gazs to Camila

"she didn't tell any of you?.." Camilas' lip quivered, closing her eyes for a moment before avoiding the childrens gazes.

"What is it? Tell us!" Vee comforted, still learning about the Nocedas everyday she stays in this household.

"so.. her father passed away right? But uhm.. he isn't the only one who died. Okay, let me explain. So her father died from a chronic illness paired with cancer, however, her brother who died when he was only 4, passed away on a school trip due to a drive by.." Camila explained, tears rolling down her cheeks as she held herself together with little to no strength left in her.

"oh titan....." hunter gasped sadly, a couple others matching his expression.

"uhm..sorry if this sounds like im being too nosey but what was his name? Your uh..son..i mean.." gus fidgeted with his hands, avoiding eye contact with his head down.

"his name was mariano, mija. and its okay to bs curious. Now should we continue our listen or should we stop here? Your choice kids." Camila smiled slightly, trying to ignore the soreness of her chest while she holds herself together for everyone in this room.

"Oh. Lets keep watching.." amity quietly spoke, reaxhing over and tapping the space bar before relaxing in the best way in her chair.

"Soon, i'll be sixty years old, my daddy got sixty-one, remember life and then your life becomes a better one. I made a man so happy when i wrote a letter once. I hope my children come and visit once or twice a month."

"Please don't tell me it will repeat.."

"Okay for titans sake." Hunter huffed, shaking his head a little

"Dawg it was SO close to being a repeat but it wasn't so sush" gus laughed, gaining a new human slang word to his vocabulary

"Yeah, yeah."

"Awe.. this song was so sad!" Willow sniffled, using her cardigan to wipe some left over tears off her face.

"I agree. And now i need some hot milk and biscuits." Amity nodded her head a little, her chair screeching as she walts over to the counter and pours herself a glass, placing it in the microwave and leaning against the cupboards as she waits.

Boy, was this in the long run..

 "Alright so that was a heavy topic placed into a song. Thats okay, we can talk about it with her at a later date. For now let's just continue our watch party!" Hunter says with ease, his smile faltering as he cringes over the badly spoken speech he just had people bare witness to.

"Alright then let's watch the next video.." vee huffs, not in annoyance but by how irritating this can be sometimes.

"howdy viewers! Me and my guitar here are going to sing a very awesome song by ed sheeran, that being Nancy Mulligan. Now, i don't want to burst anyones bubble but i may or may not have a girlfriend that this song is dedicated to. A few (most) of my covers are dedicated to her but without further a-do, lets get onto it!" 

"aaannddd of course this song is for you amity, why wouldn't it be? It just haaad to be yo-"

"I suggest you shut that damned mouth of yours before i twist this pretty little jaw of yours into dislocation. Got that?" Amity says, sounding serious..until,

"Nahhh im just kidding. Got you good didn't i? You should've seen your face! Hah! Anyway, still, please do not talk grub about luzs' singing. Thank youuu" amity gently let go of hunters jaw, nudging his side before going back to watch the video.

"Hey hey i'm just messing with you, take your time and don't let my silly jokes and comments spiral you into self doubt okay?" Gus reassured, his hand placed gently but firmly on the girls shoulder.

"Ye..yeah okay, thank you gus!" Amity smiled with appreciation, her gaze drawn back to the screen before her.

"well, i met her at Guy's in the second world war and she was working on a soldier's ward never had i seen such beauty before, the moment that i saw her."

"ohhh titann" amity mumbled, face in her palms as the people around her snickered with delight.

"We have GOT to make you a MewTube channel too. Then you can sing songs for her the same way she does for you! That would be awesome dont you think?" Willow commented, her face still that of a grin.

"Ehhh my singing skills aren't that great, besides, I love just being there for her even if its indirectly..you know? I don't want to make this whole thing about me guys please!" She giggled, waving everything else off with a sly smile.

"Fair play Blight, fair play." Willow smiled again, turning back to the screen.

"Nancy was my yellow rose and we got married wearing borrowed clothes, we got eight children now growing old. Five sons and three daughters"

Luz smiled at the screen, strumming the guitar as she says with a wink, "now im not planning on having that many kids but if my girl wants it, she gets it," Going back to the rhythm.

"SHE WANTS- you know what why am i even suprised at this point of course she wants children.." Amity pinches the bridge of her nose shaking her head, knowing that after she has seen her working with kids in the library and taking care of King, she would not pass up that offer.

"Don't forget to tell me when i'm expected to become a grandmother!" Camila jokes, a collective laugh echoing around her.

"WHA- okay!" Amity squeaks, her face red as she quickly avoids eye contact when she looks back at the screen.

"this is the first time i don't care about the repeated lyrics because i'll be honest with you blight, i actually approve of you two being a thing and possibly becoming wives. You deserve it. I'm genuinely happy for you." Hunter softly speaks, Amity taken aback by this as she slighty tears up.

"Thank you Hunter. You know, i'm not against the idea of you and wi-"

"SHHH!!! Do NOT start!" Hunter cuts Amity off, glaring at her with furrowed brows.

"Hrrhrr ymm smmm dowmmm babbb" Amity mumbles against Hunters hand, his face truning red in colour.

He sharply removes his hand, shaking his head before turning back towards the video, hearing a small snicker from the girl.

"From the snow white streak in her jet black hair, over sixty years i've been loving her now we're sat by the fire in our old armchairs, y'know Nancy, i adore ya' ." 

"I adore you too Luz noceda." Amity said absent-mindedly as she stares lovingly at the screen, not paying attention to the collective "aww" 's around her.

"From a farm boy born near Belfast town, I never worried about the king and crown 'cause i found my heart upon the southern ground. There's no difference, i assure 'ya."

"I love her strong vocals in this song, like forget about everything else and just think back on each song. Her control over these covers and the way she can mimic the volume and rhythm is so fascinating." Vee speaks, everyone nodding along and bumming their agreement.

"Yeah, thats what i've been saying! The whole thing itself is so awesome and the way she can just sing without fault is so cool!" Gus says, ignoring the fact he probably only mentioned forms of vocals a mere two times at best.

"Yup"

"Agreed."

She finishes stumming, standing up and bowing at the screen, her dorkiness coming around full swing.

"Okay so as i sung this for my love i would like to mention that i left a note in my desk drawer. You might not see this or i forgot i told you about it but its there, anyway, bye everyone and see you next time!! Adios!" 

Then the video ends, leaving Amity to think deeply before dashing out the room and up the stairs, her shuffling heard from the dinner table.

"I would've thought she had already read it or something. Maybe Luz forgot to tell her." Hunter shrugs, grabbing a juice box from the fridge.

Then they hear amity rushing down the stairs, sounding as if she fell down them instead.

"I huhhhh found......it...urgh" Amity catches her breath, holding the letter up like she won a trophy.

"Okay, well then read it! You dont have to tell us but it'll be great to see your reaction haha" Camila smiles knowingly at the girl panting infront of her, Amity nodding as she sits the furthest away from everyone else to read the note.

hey hermosa! This note was not hidden well and im suprised you didn't find it until now! But anyway, i just wanted to write to you to say i love you. I haven't said it verbally to you at all in our relationship but i want you to know that i LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!! our time together over the past few months have brought me joy and made me feel like somebody. But this isn't about me!

Tears were in her eyes as she read through the last couple sentences, a sob making its way out of her mouth before hugging that pathetic peice of paper and stuffing it right in her pocket.

"hey, you okay there? Whats wrong?" Camila asks softly, walking over to the crying girl and crouching down beside her.

"I love her so much.." Amity says through sobs, reaching over and hugging the older woman close.

"I know you do, i know. How about we take a break for a bit yeah? A few minutes wont hurt. Besides, its only 11:24am so we still have a few hours before she gets back." Camila offers, a slight nod coming from the younger girl.

"I wanna cuddle with her.." Amity says quietly against Camilas shoulder, camila chuckling a little.

"Of course. You definately can tomorrow and the weekend! Because guess what? Its friday so you have the whole weekend to snuggle with your cuddle bug." Camila laughs, amity laughing a little too before seperating, wiping her tears and walking back over to the others.

Willow reached over, smiling as she clicked off the previous video and clicking the next video she saw below the last seen, a little skeptical about the thumbnail

"¡Hola amigo's! This video is quite different from the last ones, see, all my friends and such are at home right now and after dinner I went on a walk, but I sort of got lost, so I took a taxi into the city and now I'm here, at a very empty parking lot at....23:41! (11:41pm) My family is probably worried sick and I will definitely get a scholding so pray for me guys!!"

"Oh, I remember that night very clearly... I wondered where she went," Amity huffed, a little worry on her face suddenly.

"Me too, haha it was so weird!" Hunter laughed, smirking over at Amity.

"I wonder what this song is about and why she is singing it in a parking lot of all things..also where did that speaker come from!?" Camila laughed awkwardly, a little confused

Then music was heard through the laptop.

"This is the only time I can accept these repetitive lyrics guys cause these vocals go hard." Gus says, using taught internet slang.

"I second that." Hunter replies, everyone looking at them with a wtf? Kind of stare.

"I tried to fly but I used my wings too soon.

"now this is like...a break up song..I think? But honestly, as Luz's girlfriend, I don't mind. This song is sad, yes, but Luzs' vocals here are the most magical, heartbreaking thing I've heard. The voice cracks top that." Amity says bluntly, her lip quivering a little from worry over Luzs' health.

"It also has referenced self harm..of which Luz suffers with. It hurts knowing she relates to atleast something in this song.." Amity states after a minute, ignoring everyone around her and focusing back onto the video.

"Whew! That was a handful!" Luz laughs, sprinting over towards the camera after her dancing break, eating McDonald's that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

"Oh! Yeah I forgot, I got McDonald's chat. DON'T tell vee..I may have used like...$5 from her saving account.......ANYWAY. let's go home together ay? I get scared when I'm alone at night heh" she says, stuffing more nuggets into her mouth before running out the parking lot, camera in hand.

"right so now we're watching her come home..on real time..that's funny XD" Hunter snickers, a TINCY bit worried watching the video.

"So uhh..I'm quite far away from home, but do you guys think if I run like I'm being chased by......a sketchy guy I'd get there in less than 40 minutes?" 

"Okay, WHAT? what kind of motivation is that??" Amity screeches, eyes wide and mouth agape.

"I SECOND THAT ALSO SHE STOLE MY $5??? HOW DARE SHE...I WAS WONDERING WHERE TAHT WENT FOR SO LONG NOW.." Vee says in the same tone and volume, gazing over at Amity in disbelief.

"screw it, let's go guys! Lemme connect y'all to a GoPro tho so it doesn't shake too much." 

Luz says, disconnecting the camera for about 26 seconds before the camera flashes back on to the POV of Luzs' chest.

"Right let's get it." She starts running, her muffled Spanish curses slipping under breath.

"let's edit it here, I cannot." Gus says smiling awkwardly, quickly pressing the pause button and reaching over to stop the video all together.

"Aw man I was waiting for any drama..oh well I can always watch it on my phone later." Vee Huffs, a little annoyance visible in her tone.

"Sorry not sorry." Gus replies with a grin, slumping down back into his chair.

Sipping from a cold cup of coffee, Camila smiles, laughing a little at the children's antics before taking control of the laptop, scrolling to the next video presented, posted 2 weeks ago.

"Alright are we ready everyone? This one seems more personal by the obvious `XOXO` in the header." Everyone gives their casual yups and yeah's around the table, a small snicker heard from willow (obviously fan-girling on how grumpy Hunter looks at the very minute)

The video is played, Luz appearing on the screen looking a little flustered, seeming to be sat in.....the attic? Huh. Strange placement.

"Hola again, uh this video is for someone who came into my life when i thought nobody could, even if the first encounter was a little intense they were there from the background until we were placed in a crazy love tunnel and..became connected as a whole. It still amazes me how we found eachother, but I will never complain, she's awesome."

Luz smiles lightly at the camera, keeping her hands busy on the guitar displayed across her torso.

" heh, anyway.. enough of that, let's get this video over, hm?"

"she looks a bit too giddy here, wonder what the song is for today," the blonde boy states bluntly, seeming uninterested but in actuality, he's very much into the whole deep dive right here.

"Mmm, doesn't bother me though, each song has given me a surprise. Needless to say, that might just be me.." Amity replies, her heart beating just a little bit more at the comment she had just spoke.

"HRMHM. ANYWAY! Let's continue............please.."

"hrrm hm. Uhmm Hello, Hello! so, I wanted to try and do something..special..for someone very special to me! And so this is... my attempt...at- doing that! 

Uh, yeah! Here we go!"

"Nevermind she's a nervous wreck. I take back what I said." 

"RIGHT. OKAY so you make a note on her giddyness and now you're complaining about how she's fumbling over her words. Got to give you credit there Hunter I would've slapped you right there and then but you held up." Amity jokes, jabbing his side with an elbow.

As a response? Hunter actually, for once in his life, chuckles a little.

"Oh my titan, did I just hear you laugh?" 

"I have no idea what you're on about."

"Nope, I swear ya did"

"You're delusional."

"You're a tw-HMPH"

Willow quickly covers the girls mouth, smirking at her as the girl held hostage glares annoyingly at both Hunter and Willow 

Huh. Anyway-

"This is so lovebuggy honestly can you telepathically stop making out right now before I start to contort into a 4th dimension." Hunter sticks his tongue out with a *bleugh!* , half jokingly as proven with the smirk he exchanges with amity across the table.

"Okay jealous much, just because I have a girlfriend I adore and appreciate doesn't mean you gotta shove it in my face like a kid asking for a puppy from Santa." Amity scoffs, tidying her hair up before resting both arms on the table and plopping her head into her palms.

"Ugh you're insufferable." Hunter retorts, Amity quickly giving him an abomination middle finger from under the table and grinning like the most innocent person in the whole world 

"Whatever, let's continue."

"see, your smile makes me smile! ...no, that's cringe.. your laugh makes me laugh! That's even worse!

If my journey on this path could ever lead to losing you I know which path is not my path. You're a blessing from the skies, to the thief that stole my mind.. you're the reason why I think of you all the time!

"El oh el, she messed up with the cringe talk!" Hunter laughs a little, in reply Gus states,

"No, seriously Hunter please do not spell out abbreviations I BEG." Amity side-eyes Hunter, her gaze sharp with annoyance.

"Call me that one more time and I'll pull a Vlad the impaler on you." Amity grabs Hunter by the collar of his sweater.

"Anyway guys let's continue this video, you can finish your banter another time." Willow says, her arm unconsciously tapping the space bar to unpause the said video

"And I know you don't care, I know that no one even asked. But you're who motivates me when I'm sad, you're the highschool crush that I knew that I always wanted but thought that I'd never have, always missing my other half.

"Oh... wow I uhm..cough  yeah so....cool"

"and if I had a shiny nickel for every time I missed you, I'd use them to buy the moon, then sell the moon to North Korea, then use all their fancy missiles to blow craters in that moon until it spelled out our initials!

Okay...wait.. that's absurd. Sorry, I'm..bad with words- let me start over..I guess what I'm trying to say- GAHH I'm messing this up! I've thought about this for days I've just never found the guts to tell you truly I'm in.."

"wait pause, let me just take that all in. She was basically rapping that how can I actually process what was just said?" Amity says in utter bafflement, gazing around the table to see her unacknowledged friends process the same sentiment alongside her.

"Urmm I actually cannot comprehend the pure poetic lyrical masterpiece that was just thrown at me with full brute force." Vee says, her words taken with a grain of salt as the people around her look up that the basilisk with looks of slight confusion.

"Uh.. also, Amity, that wasn't rapping. Sorry mate." Hunter snarkily comments.

"Shut up, castle crab."

"I literally left the emperors coven, what?"

"Doesn't matter."

"...look. I'm not used to spending my time floating up on cloud nine with you up in my mind, I used to spend my summers there, it turned to every weekend now I find myself among the clouds when I should be home sleeping.

that's your fault! That's right, I blame you! I blame you for all my birthday wishes that came true, ever since we started dating I am not the same dude. I've changed for the better, I...blame you for that too."

"I was scared for a minute there, I thought she was blaming you for something else but I guess I didn't pay attention to the previous verse..heh" Willow says under her breath, patting amity on her back.

"Titan..how did I achieve such a girl who is way out of my league..? She should have someone better than me I'm really not worth this." Amity doubts herself while pointing at the laptop, pulling her legs up on the chair and hiding behind them as she folds the hood of Luz's stolen hoodie over her head.

"Give me a break, amity. You know just as well as all of us here that Luz is good to and for you, and that goes the other way as well. Trust me amity you have not experienced what it's like to be sat down on Luz's bed for a whole 5 hours listening to her rant about how cool it would be to take you out on dates and how amazing it is to date you. 

You are literally the talk of the town when it comes to Luz, Amity. Cut yourself some slack and stop making it everyones problem because, no offence, I'm getting really tired of seeing either you or Luz talk bad about yourselves for stuff that doesn't even tick off any boxes in the "bad person" category."

"I..I guess you're right, huh? Titan.. sorry everyone. I just sometimes get ahold of myself and I can't help it no matter how hard I try. I'll do better, I promise." Amity sniffles, wiping her eyes with her sleeve and blowing her nose with a napkin that was stuffed in her pocket. 

"Amity, it's alright to feel doubtful about your worth for somebody else, in fact it's very much normal amongst a large variety of people. You're not horrible for feeling the way you do, yourself and hunter are both great with your points and I'm glad you both understand values. But don't beat yourself up about it, okay?" Camila soothes, smiling softly at the small girl next to her. 

"Okay, Camila. Thank you." Amity replies with a hushed voice.

"No problem Cariño." Camila reassures her, turning back to the screen as it's unpaused by the other girl; Vee, on the opposite side of her.

"I really think we got this, I won't talk to you how they talked. I'd hike a million miles, 'cause a thousand is a cakewalk!

Give it to me straight, doc, I think it's meant to be! And you would think so too if you knew what you meant to me.."

"Awwweee" a collection of voices sang in unison, watching on with a smirk when the catch the lovergirl look on in a trance of adoration and affection.

"You know, I could ramble on for hours but the words would never match up perfectly to show the power that that you hold. I thought that Midas was a king! So, how come ever since you've touched my heart everything has turned to gold?"

"So guys.." Hunter starts..

"Who's Midas?"

"Who's Midas?"

"YO WE SAID THE SAME THING AT THE SAME TIME!" Hunter exclaims towards Gus,

"JINX!"

"TOUCH WOOD, NO RETURNS!"

"TOUCH WOO- dang it."

Hunter laughs as he wins, his hand still slapped across the table as he grins at Gus with a 'loser' look on his face.

"Bruh.. whatever."

"You could still warm my heart if I lived up in the Arctic and everything I felt was freezing cold."

"Eesh.. frostbite would be a pain." Vee grimaces, cringed out at that very thought in mind before she hears a chorus of agreement though winces around the table.

"My dream is growing old..with...you!

But this letter ain't on paper because mailing stuff is hard so you'll just have to imagine hugs and kisses on the card but it's no longer 'Yours, truly' that I'm writing at the end it's 'Love, Luz XO, until we meet again' "

"That's actually really sweet I'd do anything for a love song for myself" Willow sighs defeatedly in a joking manner, Hunter, however, not taking it as a joke, starts mentally listing songs he could sing for her, not remembering that one karaoke night where he sung like a woopie cushion going flat.

"PS, you're perfect 'cause you always skip the BS. I really hope you smile when you see this, write me back soon..

I love  you. "

"I loved that, it was so wholesome bro!" Gus clapped, his smile wide and joyous.

"It was really adorable. Titan if I could I'd hug her right now but it's still.......1½ hours!? YESS!" Amity shoots up out of her chair with such a swift and fact movement, everybody's face hold one of fear and shock.

"Okay, calm down girl, we still have a lot of videos to watch until then." Willow smiles, chuckling at her as she guides the girl back down into her seat once more.

"Yeah! Yeah..you're right.. heheh" She chuckles back, shaking her head slightly.

"Well, now that's done. How about we listen to her covers in the living room? It's a much more comfier space and as we've all finished a late lunch, we could always do for a more relaxing afternoon since you were all out by the shack in the early hours." Camila suggests, everyone voicing their agreement and such amongst the kitchen table before discarding their plates and moving to the settee.

More excitement to be expected with these witches and...a surprise in upcoming chapters!? Yowza wowza!
