Mundy was always alone, until he met Jeremy. Granted Mundy met Jeremey on a team fighting a war, but that did not matter. The Gravel wars had been over for seven years now. Dating your team members was not technically allowed, but nobody really listened to that rule anyway. Mundy and Jeremy started dating in the last year of the gravel war; Jeremy and Mundy because they lived in such far away places, split up after it but called frequently to keep in touch. Jeremy after two years or so ended up moving to Australia for one reason or another, in all honesty Mundy had no clue why. Jeremy and him had gotten back together after that much to the dismay of Jeremy's father. So after all of that Mundy now sat with his head in the ex-merccenary's lap while he played with Mundy's hair. 

"hey hon! I know you really like those flowers that grow down by the river so... I go you a bouquet!" Jeremy exclaimed reaching to his side and pulling out a bouquet of beautiful blue daisies! The flowers weren't rare particularly just small and far and few in between. "took me a few hours while you were at work but totally worth it!" by a few hours he totally means it took him almost all day.  The sharp shooter had known his partner long enough to pick up on when he was understating what he was saying. The gesture felt so unbelievably big to Mundy, regular people would have been extremely happy, to Mundy it felt like he was just given the world. Mundy had a hard time understanding other emotions, and didn't really understand his as a result, but through it all Jeremy had been there understanding of him and loving him no matter what. In that moment Mundy just had an epiphany I want to marry this man, I don't care if its not legal, I just want to spend the rest of my life with him.

Jeremy was quick to notice his partner caught up in his thoughts and quickly put the bouquet down where it wouldn't be damaged, then he scooped up lover put him sitting next to him and cuddled up against him. Mundy took a few seconds to process and looked at his boyfriend, and whispered a quiet "I love you thank you so much" The pair fell asleep quickly after that.

"Hey Jer! We got some mail from Dell and Angel! Says they're hosting the Christmas party this year!" Mundy smiled, he would have to ask heavy and Medic for advice as the two had gotten married four or five years ago and knew a thing or two about marriage. The wedding of the two was certainly interesting, but very good overall. Mundy looked down once again at the invitation, the ex-mercenaries cycled who would host the Christmas party every year! the first year was Tavish, Jane, and Zhanna: a bit of a mess but it was really fun in the end, next year was Jean: that year everyone learned that they were all legally dead, and the year before this was Misha and Lutz, fun and stupid but everybody walked away with their organs intact at least!

"ohh! Dell and Angie are hosting! They still live in Texas right, or Italy?" Jeremy asked, the runner wanted to know because he was planing on proposing to his boyfriend there. Jeremy wanted the proposal to be perfect so he decided to get Dell and Angel's help when looking at rings. Dell had been in a loveless marriage, arranged by his father to give the Cohnagers more publicity. Little did his father know that his daughter was his son and his son still like boys. Dell and Pyro were now engaged and planing their wedding, so Jeremy figured they would be experts on proposing.

"They live in Texas still! I du' know how they do it, with it bein how it is." Mundy remarked, Jeremy and him moved to Australia to get away from homophobia, but still occasionally they encountered some. 

"Yeah, well nobody would want to mess with two two ex mercenaries, one of which just so happens to be a Cohnager." Jeremy was not wrong, but it probably wouldn't stop some people. Jeremy looked at Mundy, he had just come back from getting the mail. It was early in the morning so Mundy was still wearing his cute oversized sleep shirt. Jeremy loved how he looked in the morning, still tired with slightly coherent thoughts. Jeremy looked at the time, 6:24 am it read. It was the weekend so neither of the lovers had to go to work, but it still helped to be up before seven in Mundy's opinion. Jeremy decided to take a small risk and tacked Mundy into the couch for cuddles. 

"Augh! Jer! Oh- ugh I cant stay mad at you for long. Come 'ere roo!" the taller snickered as the shorter became a clingy koala. Giggling the two laid on the couch, both exited for the upcoming trip.

The two were the second last pair to arrive to Dell and Angel's place. As the two were greeted by Angel, who was not wearing his mask surprising, they heard a crashing noise and ran toward it to investigate the cause. "what in the bloody 'ell-" Mundy started, quickly interrupted by a crushing hug from Misha. "h-hey mate- I uh- oof. Mis-ssed ya-h" Mundy breathy from the hug said. Mundy smiled at the sight of his friend though, and beckoned both Lutz and Misha into the other room. Jeremy watched as he did this what is Mundy planing? Jeremy thought. 

Lutz gave Mundy a pat on the shoulder as the three entered Dell's work room oblivious that he was there. "Um... okay sorry if that was really sudden I just really need you two's help. Your both married so I figured you would know a thing or two about proposals." Mundy was extremely sheepish and quiet as he spoke. Mundy had nevr been very good at asking for help, after an indecent in school regarding a student who beat him up and teased him for asking for help on the homework that day. 

Misha and Lutz were stunned for a second as he spoke "You want to marry herr Jeremy ja?" Lutz spoke first, his expression turned from one of shock to one of joy and pride. Misha took a few more moments to process the snipers words and quickly smiled after realizing what was happening. 

"Yeah... I need you two's help picking out a ring and well, figuring out how to propose. Im just really scared i'm gonna botch it and he's gonna hate me." Mundy and the people around him knew he was a chronic over thinker.` Misha and Lutz exchanged glances and just stared at Mundy for a second. Oh shit I just messed everything up Mundy worried. 

"Jeremy love you right?" Misha asked. Mundy nodded in response. "You love Jeremy, da? One again Misha was met with a nod from the sharp shooter. "Okay even if the proposal fails, he still love you! Love is not yes or not question it is a spectrum!" Misha finished with. Mundy looked at Misha, Mundy would admit he had never thought about love that way. 

"Huh, I never thought about love that way..." Mundy spoke his thoughts, at that the married couple looked at each other and smirked.

"we will help you, find a ring for herr Jeremy! But We arent going to help with the proposal otherwise, its you and Jeremy's relationship not ours. We can offer all the advice we have but otherwise it's up to you." The two older mercs spoke interchangeably.

Mundy smiled shyly, "Can we look for rings tomorrow since we are all going to be here for a week."

"Da" and "ja" were said respectively in response.

Jeremy went to find Angel and Dell to ask for proposal advice, but just found Mundy, Lutz, and Misha talking secretively. Jeremy decided  against eavesdropping and insted decided to go find his dad to ask his blessing.

"Spy? Dad? Jean?" Jeremy called as he wandered the large mansion. As he walked onto one of the houses balcony's he was greeted by Spy's voice

"its Jacqui today, son. Also its good to see you, how are things going between you and the bushman?" Jacqui said, Jeremy smiled at the sight of his mum.

"Good, good. um I actually came here to ask you about, uh, um-" The scout started

"Just spit it out, I haven’t  go all day" Scouts mother spoke clearly annoyed, Jeremy looked at the floor nervously, as Jacqui's eyebrow razed.

"Um... OkayIreallywanttomarryMundyandIneedyourblesssingwillyougiveittome?" Jeremy rushed out quickly breathing a sigh of relief after he spoke. 

When he looked up he was met with a face of full disgust from his mother. "Fine, but if he hurts you, he's dead meat." Jeremy sometimes forgot how scary Jacqui could be. 

"yay! Thanks Mom! Uh please don’t murder my boyfriend. Please!" Jeremy said as he backed away from Jacqui and left. As he exited her heard a faint "No promises" 

Mundy retired to their designated room after greeting everybody, and flopped on the bed a soft groan emitted from the exhausted man. he quickly perked up when he heard "Hey hon how are you!" looking up he was greeted by the sight of his lover smiling down at him. "You look like you just went off a waterfall." Jeremy remarked.

"Feel like it ugh. Hey roo, if you're wondering where I am tomorrow, Im gonna be in town looking at Christmas gifts with Misha and Lutz." Mundy lazily said, he was keeping the propsal a secret obviously, but he wanted Jeremy knew where he was if he needed him. Jeremy smiled nodded, and crawled oto the be next to him and clingning.

"kay! Im also gonna be in town, but me Dell and Angel are probably gonna be shopping for groceries or something." Jeremy was very proud of his lie, Jeremy was normally a very bad lier, but it looked like Mundy actually fell for it! Mundy smiled and flopped onto Jeremy and pressed kisses all over his face.

"love you roo! Thanks for being the best boyfriend ever!" Mundy loved Jeremy so much in that moment, Mundy looked at Jeremy who took the opportunity to press kisses to his face. Cheeky idiot the taller though, but made no move to get up. Jeremy attempted to sit up but with Mundy crushing him, he couldn't, not that Jeremy was complaining. 

"Okay love I have to get up and see how Dell and Angel are doing on dinner" Jeremy said, he had briefly spoken to Dell and Angel when Mundy had run of with Lutz and Misha, about going to town tomorrow to get a surprise for Mundy.

"Fineeeeeeeeeeee" Mundy said with a disgruntled look on his face. Jeremy quickly got up after that and ran downstairs, looking around he found Tavish, Zhanna, and Jane sitting on teh couch probably talking about the festivities for Christmas. 

"Hey, um... you guys seen Dell or Angel?" Jeremy questioned looking over at the thruple. Tavish gave him a shrug and turned to the other two, Zhanna shook her head and continued solving a crossword that she had apparently been doing. 

"NO SOLDIER, I HAVE NOT SEEN OUR COMRADE'S BUT THEY ARE MOST LIKEY IN DELL'S WORKSHOP!" Jane shouted, startling Tavish, and amusing Zhanna. 

Jeremy who was certainly spooked said "thanks guys! Good luck with the crossword Zhanna!"before walking away, Zhanna gave a nod of her head at that and continued what she was doing. As Jeremy entered the workspace he saw Dell and Angel sitting on the front of Dell's pickup truck. "Hey! Dell, Angel whats up bud! How are you guys doing?" Jeremy asked smiling doing his best to not seem awkward as fuck. Dell and Angel exchanged glances, before turning their attention to Jeremy. "Uh... I was wondering if you two or at least one of you could, um go into town with me to pick out... engagement rings?" Jeremy was super nervous about how the two might take it, but to his surprise both Dell and Angel nodded in agreement to the plan. 

"Oh tank goodness you two agreed I don't know who Id look toward otherwise." Jeremy let out the breath he didn't know know he had been holding. 

"Of course kiddo! Im really happy for ya'll, you both deserve each other! What kind of ring are you looking for? Silver, gold, copper, cobalt, tungsten? Gem or no gem? Carving or pattern." The inventor questioned, he turned to Angel and asked her to "get a map of Bee cave real quick!"

"Um... i'm looking for maybe like a red gem since we both met on RED, and a ring thats strong but wont get in the way of his work! Also I don’t know how hard it will be to find, but if we can find one with like ‘M+J’ that would be amazing!" 

“You know if your in the market for engravings I can do the ring myself! Free of charge, all I would want you to do is to come with me to a jeweler and get the ruby, then you can help out with the forging and making of the ring!” Dell said looking at Angel who nodded happily along!

”that would be awesome! I actually have always wanted to work with metal and technology, I just can read or write very well so I figured it was out of the question.” Jeremy never really mentioned that he wanted to be an RED engineer growing up, it was a pipe dream at best. 

“Hey I’ll tell you a little secret, I’m actually not the best writer despite my PHDs I have a hard time writing things that aren’t my signature” Dell spoke as he walked to a bin of metal and began to take inventory!

”Really! I had no clue!” Jeremy was appalled by the fact, looking over at Angel whom nodded m the park in agreement!

“so we start tomorrow?”

”Tomorrow”

After dinner everybody disappeared of to their rooms, Jeremy and Mundy included. As Mundy entered their shared room he was greeted by the sight of Jeremy laying without a shirt on for some ungodly reason, drawing in a sketchbook he had brought.

”Hey Roo what doin?” Mundy loved to play what doin especially when the two were just doing something doing around the house.

“sketching! You can’t look! It’s a surprise!” Jeremy spoke cheeky as always! 

“Well then, I had a surprise for you, but now I’m not gonna show it till you show your surprise!” Mundy shot back playfully, Mundy, lutz, and Misha we’re getting up first thing that morning before Jeremy, so they could avoid questions. Jeremy hopefully wouldn’t have his ‘surprise’ done until the next day or even latter!

”Hey Mundy, I know you don’t really like to be tied down, but I was wondering what’s your opinion on… marriage?” Jeremy was nervous speaking those words, yet they came out! Mundy did not respond however seemingly lost in thought. Looking over at the window, it was now dark and the two had migrated to lay next to each other on the shared bed. Jeremy quickly discarded his sketchbook in a nightstand and cuddled up to Mundy placing his head under the others neck. Mundy realizing his lover wanted to be spooned, quickly reciprocated tucking Jeremy into himself. Jeremy wrapped around his chest and mewed softly as Mundy began to pet and play with his hair. Slowly the couple happy in each other arms fell asleep

Mundy felt awful, as he stood out on the edge of Dell’s property the side that faced the sea, the place he wanted to propose to Jeremy. Suddenly familiar  yet slightly uncanny face walked up behind him.

”Sniper! How’s it hanging brotha?” Sniper… he had sent been called that name  in a long while so now would Jeremy use it? Mundy looked out at the view it was a perfect sunrise, the color of ripe sweet oranges, and glorious beautiful strawberry’s. Mundy suddenly felt a weight in his pockets. He reached down into them and felt the velvet that decorated he outside of a ring box. Suddenly he knew what he had to do.

“Um, uh Jeremy, I’m not good at words but I feel such a special connection to you! You’re one of the most special people I’ve met and I want to be with you for eternity! Will you marry me!” Mundy said dropping to one knee. Suddenly the blissful dram broke into a nightmare as his partner broke into a nightmareish laugh taunting him and finally saying “why would I want to Marry a freak like you, you look so dumb it’s probably why your parents died!” Mundy didn’t realize this wasn’t real and began to break down, the nightmare continued to taunt him as he did.

Jeremy awoke to his partner in a full on sob with almost bloodshot eyes. Jeremy did his best to console and calm his love down, but nothing worked

“mon cher, please stay calm!” Jeremy pleaded, he never retreated into his ’fauther’s’ language. Jeremy began to sob seeing his lover in great distress made him hurt deeply. It was ironic the two of them, one had extremely high empathy the other had bad one at all. Jeremy was well aware now that if Mundy woke up he would be greeted with a bawling snot faced Jeremy, which was probably not what he needed, but Jeremy was going to try and help in any way possible. Jeremy eventually settled on holding Mundy and hoping he would calm down, as unlike some of Mundy’s meltdowns, this he could not tell the source of the pain. It hurt Jeremy knowing he could ent do anything for his distressed boyfriend. Jeremy laid there with him and Mundy’s positions from earlier being swapped. Both of them in tears and neither able to help each other.

Mundy awoke with a start, he had been having constant nightmares about Jeremy making fun and laughing at him for trying to propose. Mundy knew Jeremy would never do this, yet the nightmares got worse and worse as time went on. I should probably have Lutz run a psychology test or somthin, ugh my head hurts. Mundy felt pain that you really only feel after a hangover or crying yourself to sleep, it’s probably the latter being honest. As he got up he looked over at Jeremy who had tear marks running down his face. Oh he must have seen my nightmare… oh god he probably hates me! Ugh never mind. Mundy looked at his boyfriend and felt tremendous guilt about his current state. But now he had no time to think about that he needed to get up now to go shopping with Lutz and Misha.

quickly throwing on whatever clothes he could find, which was Jeremy’s shirt and a pair of baggy jeans. He ran out then door as fast as he could grabbing his personal bag on the way out. Rushing downstairs he was greeted by Lutz sitting with Dell talking about something science related.

”aye up anted, how are ya doin this lovely morning?” Mundy had put on this little game of charades many times before to apeal to others, but Lutz and Dell were having none of it.

“ Mundy are you okay?” Dell’ question was simple in theory but to Mundy it was a matrix of confusion, so instead of speaking he just stood there

”cats got your tongue? Don’t blame you!” Dell laughed, Mundy turned  his attention and looked at Lutz, the doctor smiled and gave a thumbs up. 

“Misha just needs to get out of the shower, and we’ll be off!” Mundy smiled at that, hopefully today wouldn’t be as stressful as he had imagined,

Jeremy awoke to an empty bed, it was 7:30 am according to the clock in the wall adjacent to the bed. Huh I’m up early, well nothing to do but get started on the project! Jeremy smiled as he got out of bed, and ran downstairs; Jeremy was greeted by Miss Pauling who he had not seen the night before. 

“Fiona! What’s up!” Jeremy exclaimed happy to see his close friend

”Jeremy! How’s it going! I heard from a little birdie you want to lick it in with Mick!” Fiona was still great at teasing Jeremy even if she was not trying.

”Wha- who told you!” Jeremy demanded! 

“nobody, I just guessed with everybody getting  married you two would be as well! And it looks like I was right!” Fiona sat there smiling 

“I-I yeah… just don’t tell the others please! And do you know where Dell is?” Jeremy questioned walking over to Fiona to give her a hug. The two hugged and Fiona promised not to tell a soul! Then pointed to Dell’s workshop in reference to where the engineer was. 

“Thanks Pauling!” Jeremy called as he ran to the worship. Inside of the workshop he was met with the sight of a bright burning forge being lit and a scrap of silver laid out on the counter next to it.

”Hey kid! Over here I was just about to start working on curing the metal then bending the ring to make its shape!” Dell called out, Dell was warring the same googles he wore when in RED, it took Jeremy back to when him, Angel, and Dell would hang out in the last ones work space!

”Okay! What do you need me to do!” Jeremy was prepared to go to the ends of the earth to help with the ring! 

“ I need you to go into town and go to a store called ‘Jeweler’s pick’ there you can buy individual gem stones most in not the best shape, you want those, I can clean ‘em up real easy here!” With those instructions Jeremy left with a “thank you” 

Mundy originally believed that ring shopping  would be easy, as it turned out it was anything but that! So far the trio had gone through three or four ring shops and it was only mid-day! Misha suggested they stop for lunch and talk more about the ring Mundy envisioned.

”you want gold band with a topaz gemstone and a wavy pattern on the band with ‘J+M’ on it, da?” Heavy asked after the three had gotten street tacos and began eating. 

“Yeah! Basically that’s exactly what I wanted. Dang I had no clue searching for jewelry would be this hard! Ya know I actually was about to propose to a girl when I was younger, but… things just didn’t  go as planned.” Mundy remembered her, her name was skyler she and Mundy met because of a family friend of them both. Mundy and her hit it off and well, the two dated for six years, and when Mundy proposed she just laughed and broke his heart. She told him he was just a fucktoy to her and that she already had a mister who she was engaged to! Mundy remembered feeling like trash and stoped wanting to live  after that. Then he joined RED to accomplish that, best decision of his entire life.

As the three entered the fifth store, Mundy spotted the perfect ring. Quickly Mundy ran up to the jeweler asking to inspect the ring, after inspection the talk man  settled on it. Mundy would have to come back in a day or two, due to the engravings he wanted but otherwise he was good to go! After the two left the shop they strolled around and got Christmas presents like they probably said they would.

When Mundy returned home he was face to face with a very upset Jean.

”Hi spook!” As much as the sniper wanted to get away from spy he knew he couldn’t run for long. 

“hello Bushman, please come with me.” The Frenchman requested, a few others in the room casting Mundy sympathetic glances. 

Mundy followed Jean up the stairs and into the small study that Jean had been spending a lot of time in. 

“Jean I have a lot of things to do today so, why am I in here?” Mundy stated tiered out of his mind, his semi insomniac tendency’s coming back to bite him.

“Why was my son crying this morning, better question why weren’t you there to comfort him?” Jean demanded slamming his hands down on the study table. Mundy was stunned for a second, Jeremy was crying? No he had been fine going to bed, and… then suddenly Mundy remembered the tear tracks, and bloodshot eyes that Jeremy had. Mundy didn’t quite know what to say. But took his best shot at defending himself.

”I didn’t know he was crying, I got up extremely early to run errands with Lutz and Misha so I couldn’t stay to comfort him.” Mundy now extremely distressed at the thought of his partner as sad, looked up questioning the spy with his gaze.

“hmmm… I believe you, but your in thin ice, bushman.” Jean countered

With that Mundy left the study exhausted from the chat with Jean, there was only one thing Mundy wanted to do, and that was lie down and hold his partner.

Jeremy managed to find a really beaten up ruby, but to him it was perfect it had specks for some other material that looked like amber teardrops! When brought in for Dell, he was able to determine it was a real ruby and the stuff inside was one or two tiny droplets of Australium surprisingly, not enough to be worth much or set off the austraium detecter from years ago, but enough to be incredibly special!

”So the ring band is done, but I want you to mark where I should put the ‘M+J’! Also The gemstone and australium looks amazing after only a few hours of tumbling! This ring should be ready to assemble by tomorrow!” Dell seemed extremely exited and proud of the twos work! 

“Thanks a lot agin, see you tomorrow Hardhat!” Hardhat has become a nickname when the two were fighting that just ended up sticking somehow. Jeremy smiled as he walked back to his room, he had an hour or two to kill, before he was gonna help make dinner! 

As Jeremy approached his room he was pulled off to the side by his father who quickly questioned him, “did the bushman hurt you this morning?!”

“wha- no! Mick would never do anything to hurt me!” 

“Mhm… did you two fight or did he do anything to you or d-“ Jean was cut off quickly

”no! He didn’t do anything! Look Mundy had a nightmare last night. He’s been having them for some time now, and I am really empathetic so if he cries I cry!” Jeremy was not very happy with his dad at all!

”oh… well if he does anything y-“ Jean started 

“no! He’s not gonna pull anything! Stop trying to force my love life!” Jeremy spoke loud and clear before running out of the room.

Jeremy only stoped running when he got to his and Mundy’s room. As he opened the door he saw Mundy laying face down on the bed. Mundy was clearly extremely exhausted.

”hey hon are you okay?” Jeremy asked laying face up on the bed next to him.

“M’ fine” Mundy replied rolling on his back and into Jeremy. 

“you sure love, I’m sorry I couldn’t clam you down last night. If you don’t mind telling me, what happened or what’s wrong?” Mundy heard a bucket load of concern in his boyfriend’s voice, Jeremy was one of the most caring people Mundy had ever met, the care and consideration in his voice almost brought Mundy to tears.

”I-its, uh you know I had an ex before you… and well it’s been I don’t even recall how many years but… I proposed to her, and well… she, she she laughed in my face and basically told me she was just using me as a good fuck for six years.” As Mundy spoke Jeremy sat next to him and hugged him. Mundy just started crying, he couldn’t hold back the pain like he had for so many years, he just couldn’t take it anymore. Jeremy held him as shushed him, and Petted his head.

”shhh love your here, and I swear on my honor if I ever find that asshole I will-“ Jeremy exclaimed loudly before being cut off. Jeremy loved Mundy to death and would go to hell and back with him. Jeremy knew in that moment that he truly wanted to marry Mundy, to be able to keep him safe, to help him heal, to love him, that’s all Jeremy wanted. 

“thank you thank you so much” Mundy said through tears, he was shaking lesser by the second. 

“No problem love” Jeremy said he was sad for Mundy, but still had a warm glow in his heat because he knew of what was coming!

Mundy woke up to Jeremy gone, looking around he realized he must have gone downstairs and disappeared off to wherever he was yesterday.

Mundy decide to take a stroll around Dell’s place and ran into Tavish and Zhanna chatting in the back garden.

“Hello Mundy!” Zhanna’s accent was still pretty thick, so Mundy had a bit of trouble understanding her, but figured it out eventually.

”Ello Zhanna, ello Tavish!” Mundy greeted the two.

”aye ello!” Tavish smiling like an idiot was looking at a small photo.

”what ya lookin at mate?” Tavish extended a small photo of six people, Tavish, Zhanna, and Jane were standing behind three kids maybe three or four.

”they’re me, Zhanna, and Jane’s kids! Their names in order left to right are: Ivan, Blair, and Oliver. Lutz worked some kind of miracle and they all have our DNA or something. Zhanna’s more than me and Jane’s but we’re 25% of them! Zhanna was really strong, triplets aren’t easy!” Tavish glowed with pride for his kids and partners.

Ivan in the very left very much resembled Tavish, the boy had curly black hair and a dark skin tone. Unlike his father however Ivan had hazel eyes, and was wearing a soft light red sweater with a green kilt. The girl next to him named Blair, was wearing a plaid red dress with black and white stripes. Blair highly resembled Zhanna with Tavishes eyes and Jane’s hair color. Finally on the end sat Oliver who was clearly Jane’s child with Tavish’s non existant curls. Ironically Oliver looked almost nothing like Zhanna, only having her smile. Oliver wore a red suit with a black vest, and grey pants.

”wow! Congrats mate! They must be a handful!” Mundy remarked, looking over Zhanna nodded, and Tavish just shrugged,

”kinda the little lads can certainly be a handful at times but I would trade the word for ‘em!” Tavish smiled as he spoke. Zhanna just patted him on the back and made a quiet remark that made Tavish burst out laughing.

”Hey this might seem like a weird question or something, but who proposed and how?” Mundy was honestly afraid of the answer. 

All the two did was look at him and smile, “Aye! Zhanna did! We were in Scotland I believe, and she had rings have a short speech then proposed. It was pretty simple laddie bein honest!” The Scotsman said.

”Ah, Zhanna how did you get the courage to do that, also did you plan anything, and uh do you have any advice?” The sharp shooter shrunk as he spoke, Zhanna smiled warmly at him.

“I love husbands, so I go into it with love! I did not plan anything but ring. Speech was from heart! I give myself a moment to breath then I proposed.” Zhanna said, both her and Tavish quickly realized why sniper had asked. “Be you and don’t worry to much about outcome, Jeremy loves you. Don’t let you weigh yourself down!” Mundy listened to every second of Zhanna’s explanation, quietly making out what he was going to do.

”Aye good luck lad with the proposal, Jeremy’s lucky to have a man like you!” Tavish said pride filling his words.

”Thank you Tav, thanks Zhanna!” Mundy said before continuing his stroll around the premises.

Jeremy was exhausted by the time him and Dell were ready to start engraving, the two had worked on the rings gem for hours, and had finally made it into a small Gem. The small bit of Australium in the gem turned out to have more Australium than the two thought. What was once a small ruby with a single teardrop of Australium turned into a gemstone for a ring, with Australium flecked all around it. Jeremy let Dell keep the remaining australium, not that there was much left over. 

It was finally time to engrave the ring, Dell gave Jeremy a small drill and chisel to make the first marks. Slowly Jeremy chipped out a ‘M+J’ shape, and Dell cleaned it up and polished it. 

“Alright, what we’re gonna do is: open those little prongs on the ring to place the ruby in, then we’re going to close them around the ruby. After that it’s one last polish and clean, then getting a ring box, I asked Angel to go down to the shop to get one for you yesterday. Finally we put the ring in the box and your all set!” Dell smiled as he talked.

”thank you Dell for everything I really couldn’t have done any of this without you!” Jeremy was aware he was tearing up, but he in all honesty didn’t care.

”Don’t worry about it kid, I’m always here to help!” Dell spoke quickly Turing his attention to the now open door where Mundy now stood! 

“Hey Roo! Uh, what doing? Oh! Hi Dell didn’t see ya for a second!” Mundy looked confused at all the machinery surrounding the two.

” Hi Mundy! I’m showing Jermey how to do some metalwork! I wanted to show him how to make rings, cause that’s my current project! Hope that’s okay!” Dell’s tone stayed casual despite the sweat that was coming off of him. Dam Dell is good at lying!

”Nah no problem, just wanted ta know where ‘e was! Thanks Dell! Love ya Jer, I’m gonna get out both of yer hairs now! Bye mates!” With that Mundy closed the door and walked away. Jeremy and Dell exchanged glances and a sigh in relief! 

“So what next?”

”Assembly time”

Mundy after his encounter with Jeremy in the workshop was good to go on going to town to get the ring. As he went to leave was was greeted by Lutz.

”Ah hello my friend! Would you be okay with me accompanying you to town?” Lutz asked smiling he obviously knew something was up.

“Sure, are you running any errands? I’m happy to accompany you, but I got to get back in time to make dinner” Lutz smiled and shook his head at the other man’s words.

The two quickly set off for town making their way to the Jewelry store. Mundy and Lutz made their way inside and Lutz split off to look at a necklace he saw, while Mundy got the ring.

”here you go sir, that will be $1,020.” The clerk said after handing the ring box to Mundy, after paying Mundy opened the ring box to see the ring. It was gorgeous the gold shined beautifully in the sun. The topaz was cut to perfection.

”tomorrow!” Mundy exclaimed!

“Tomorrow’s the big day?” Lutz asked smiling

”Tomorrow”

The ring was finally finished it was beautiful! Jeremy held the box and looked at it, the ring was everything he had ever wanted. 

“Tomorow”

”That’s the day you picked?” Dell asked smiling, he was super proud of the merc for making the ring!

”Yup, Tomorrow”

Mundy laid down in bed with his partner curled up to his side. He felt his boyfriend’s face move from his side to his neck softly kissing it. He was really nervous for the next day but was ready for whatever came.

”hon… ya still awake?” He heard the groggy voice of his boyfriend, giggling he turned to face him. “Mmmm… you should be asleep it’s late! My surprise is tomorrow! I don’t want you passing out during it!” Jeremy giggled.

”Your also awake ya know, don’t want you falling asleep while your presentin it!” Mundy joked, bursting into laughter when Jeremy punched him jokingly in the shoulder.

“Oh! Wha- come here! Shut up stupid!” Jeremy quickly pushed Mundy’s lips on to his, the two locking together like gears. They laid there for a minute or two softly making out. Before collapsing further into each other’s arms. Jeremy ever the opportunist crawled under Mundy’s shirt for better cuddles.

”Night Roo!”

The next day was not supper eventful until the evening, aside from Dell, Angel, Jean giving Jeremy a pep talk, and Tavish, Zhanna, Lutz, and Misha giving one to Mundy.

The two lovers sat in a tree swing on a cliff overlooking a gorgeous lake. The two sat and shared sandwiches, Mundy drinking his coffee and Jeremy drinking lemonade not soda for once. When the two were finished Jeremy beckoned Mundy to stand up and join him. Mundy happily did so.

“Okay I have my surprise ready!” Jeremy said smiling like an idiot.

“I have immune too, why don’t we say than at the same time!” Mundy suggested. Jeremy took a second to think. His speech was long so outlasting Mick’s surprise wouldn’t be a problem.

”okay on three!” Jeremy agreed

”one” Mundy’s heat felt like it was beating out of his chest.

”two” Oh god Jeremy, okay here goes nothing!

”Three” both Mundy and Jeremy prayed that the other would say yes.

In that moment both of them dropped to one knee and both said the other name then “I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you! Will you marry me!”

The two lovers quickly realized what happened and stood up.

”no way did we both fucking propose to each other! I mean I know I proposed to you! But- holly cow wait you wanna marry me!” Jeremy stuttered through the last part of his sentence, face happier than ever. 

“Yes I just asked you, you idiot! Also fuck yeah I’ll marry you!” Mundy began to cry overcome with emotion!

”same here Mundy I’m so happy to be able to call you my fiancé!” Jeremy began to cry as well. Both quickly crushed each other in a hug and kissed each other so passionately it felt like their first! They quickly slipped the rings onto the others finger.

the two lovers stood there for a bit just holding each other. Soon they returned to the house. When walking in they were met with a mountain of applause!

the two smiled, everything was going to be better after this.
