Chapter Text

That night, right after Yedam and Tag left, Jay felt a mix of relief and anxiety. He and Seunghun were finally alone again in the apartment that seemed to increasingly cramped with the secret Jay was trying to hide. Jay cleaned up the dining table while Seunghun sat silently on the couch, watching his every move.

Seunghun decided to give Jay some space. He went to the bathroom, giving Jay time to calm down. However, Jay's mind kept racing, thinking about Yedam's words and Seunghun's piercing gaze that seemed to see right through him.

Jay let out a long sigh as he heard the sound of water from the bathroom. He sat at the dining table, holding a warm cup of tea that had already cooled down. What should he do? How could he face Seunghun after everything that had happened?

Not long after, Seunghun came out of the bathroom, wearing a t-shirt and pajama pants. His wet hair dripped water, adding to his mysterious aura. Jay tried not to notice, but his eyes automatically followed Seunghun's movements as he walked to the couch and sat down, looking at Jay gently but firmly.

"Jay," Seunghun began in a soft voice, "I won't force you to talk, but I hope you know that I'm here for you."

Jay nodded, trying to smile, but it felt stiff. "Thank you, Seunghun. I just... need time."

Seunghun nodded in understanding, but inside, he still felt something was off.

The next day, Jay received a message from Yedam reminding him about the party tomorrow. Jay sat on the couch, scrolling through the message, feeling anxious. He knew he had to make a decision.

"Seunghun," Jay called softly.

Seunghun, who was reading in the corner of the room, looked up. "What is it, Jay?"

Jay swallowed hard, feeling the nervousness growing inside. "About that birthday party... Yedam keeps asking me."

Seunghun put down his book, looking at Jay attentively. "What about it?"

Jay took a deep breath. "You know~ About us pretending to be dating for the party, so I can show that I've moved on from Jongwoo."

Seunghun was silent for a moment, then smiled gently. "If that will make you feel better, I'll do it."

Jay was surprised by Seunghun's answer. "You don't mind?"

Seunghun shook his head. "Not at all. If it can help you, I'll pretend. After all, I've pretended a lot in my life."

Jay smiled slightly. "Thank you, Seunghun. I really appreciate it."

---

Finally it's Jungwoo's birthday party. Though still awkward, Jay felt a bit calmer. Seunghun continued to respect Jay's personal space, and Jay felt grateful for that.

Jay and Seunghun spent more time together, trying to build up convincing chemistry so they could pretend to be a perfect couple at the party. Even though Jay still felt nervous inside, he felt more prepared for the party.

Jay chose his best outfit, hoping to give the impression that he had truly moved on. Seunghun wore a suit that made him look stunning, with the mysterious aura that always surrounded him, his horns and tail hidden. He had recharged his energy that morning, having an intense kissing session with Jay until his face turned red. They looked like the perfect couple.

"Ready?" Seunghun asked with a gentle smile.

Jay nodded, even though his heart was still pounding. "Yes, ready."

When they arrived at the party, a festive atmosphere greeted them immediately. Balloons, colorful decorations, and music filled the room. Many familiar faces greeted them, including Yedam, who rushed over with a wide smile.

"Wow, you both look amazing!" Yedam exclaimed enthusiastically.

Jay tried to smile even though his heart was still pounding. "Thank you, Yedam."

Jongwoo and Seongmin approached with big smiles on their faces. "Hey, Jay! Glad you could come," Jongwoo said sincerely.

Seongmin added, "And you brought Seunghun!"

Jay felt a bit relieved seeing the warmth from his friends. "Yes, we thought it would be fun."

---

They pretended to be a happy couple. Everyone at the party was surprised to see them together, and they both worked hard to convince everyone that they were a happy couple. Seunghun always stayed close to Jay, showing genuine attention and affection. Jay tried to stay calm, even though his heart raced every time Seunghun touched him.

Seunghun gently wrapped his arm around Jay's waist, providing unspoken support. Jay felt calm with Seunghun's presence by his side, and for that night, they successfully pretended well. They chatted, laughed, and enjoyed the evening as if they were truly a couple.

However, in the middle of the party, Jay felt something strange. Seunghun became more silent, and his eyes frequently followed Jay's every move. Jay tried to ignore it, but when Jongwoo approached and started chatting with Jay about their past, Jay felt the atmosphere become tense.

Jongwoo smiled warmly. "Jay, it's so nice to chat like this again. It feels like it's been ages."

Jay smiled back, trying to stay relaxed. "Yeah, it's been quite a while."

They chatted for a moment, reminiscing about old memories. But Jay could feel Seunghun's gaze growing more intense. When Jongwoo casually touched Jay's shoulder, Jay felt Seunghun's energy change.

Jay took the drink and started drinking it quickly. Before he realized it, he had downed several glasses, and the effects of the alcohol began to hit him. His head started to spin, and his steps became unsteady. Jongwoo, noticing Jay's condition, immediately approached him.

"Jay, are you okay?" Jongwoo asked with concern.

Jay laughed softly, his eyes half-closed. "I'm... fine. Just a little dizzy."

Seeing Jay getting more intoxicated, Jongwoo decided to take him outside to get some fresh air. Seunghun, watching from a distance, felt anxious and jealous. When he saw Jongwoo helping Jay outside, Seunghun couldn't hold back any longer. He quickly walked towards them, his eyes full of anger.

"I'll take my boyfriend home," Seunghun said coldly.

Jongwoo saw the anger in Seunghun's eyes and let go of Jay. "Okay, Seunghun. Make sure he's okay."

Seunghun nodded without a word, then gently but firmly supported Jay as they left the party.

---

On the way home, Jay mumbled incoherently, his eyes half closed.

“Seunghun…?” called Jay, his voice shaking.

Seunghun didn't answer, only quickening his pace until they arrived at Jay's home. He quickly opened the door and brought Jay inside, closing the door behind him. With one swift motion, Seunghun pressed Jay against the wall, his eyes burning with anger. His true form began to appear, his horns and tail no longer hidden.

"You don't understand how mad I am, Jay," Seunghun said in a low voice, bringing his face closer to Jay's. "Seeing you with Jongwoo... it drives me crazy."

The still half-drunk Jay looked at Seunghun in confusion. "Seunghun, I didn't mean to..."

Before Jay could finish his sentence, Seunghun kissed his lips roughly. The kiss was full of pent-up emotions, leaving Jay shocked and breathless. However, amid the kiss, Jay felt something deeper than just anger. There was a profound and genuine feeling.

The drunken Jay started to speak unconsciously, "I... I dreamt about you, Seunghun. Weird dreams... that made me scared... scared you would find out."

Seunghun broke the kiss, looking at Jay with wide eyes. "What dreams, Jay?"

Jay shook his head, his eyes glistening with tears. "Dreams where we... are together. Having Sex. I'm ashamed... I'm afraid you would find out."

Seunghun was silent for a moment, trying to process Jay's words. "So that's why you've been avoiding me? Because of those dreams?"

Jay nodded slowly. "Yes, I was afraid you would find out and think I'm weird."

Seunghun took a deep breath, feeling like he wasn't angry anymore. his anger was gone. He blushed slightly, his cheeks reddening. "Jay, you don't need to be afraid. I would never think you're weird."

Jay felt relieved hearing Seunghun's words. "Really?"

Seunghun nodded, looking at Jay gently. "Really. I'm here for you, no matter what."

Jay smiled weakly, feeling the weight on his chest lighten a bit. "Thank you, Seunghun. I... I feel better now."

Seunghun nodded, pulling Jay into a warm embrace. "Let's rest. We'll talk about this again tomorrow with clearer heads."

That night, they both slept feeling more peaceful, even though there were still many things that needed to be discussed. But for now, they feel closer and understand each other better.

---

The next morning, Jay woke up with a slight headache. He sat up in bed, recalling the events of the previous night. When Seunghun entered the room with a cup of coffee, Jay smiled awkwardly.

"How are you feeling?" Seunghun asked, sitting at the edge of the bed.

"My head still hurts a bit, but I'm okay," Jay replied.

They sat in silence for a moment before Seunghun finally spoke. "Jay, about what you said last night... did you really dream about us?"

Jay nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Yeah, that's one of the reasons I avoided you. I was scared you'd find out and think I'm a weirdo."

Seunghun smiled softly. “I would never think of you as a weirdo, Jay.”
