Chapter Text
Docking on an island after the land of Wano, the crew finally allowed themselves to enjoy the relaxation of not usurping a government or participating in a war.
Sanji let out a sigh as he prepped for breakfast, allowing his shoulders to fall back in relaxation. He was on watch, taking the latter half of the night after Brook’s shift. Sanji blinked away the sleep from his eyes, moving slowly as he ignored his sleep-deprived state.
I’ll season the bacon now so it tastes even better when I cook it in the morning.
The hairs on the back of his neck suddenly stood up, and Sanji immediately felt alert. Looking outside the galley, his head swiveled around as he tried to look for the cause of his Haki spiking.
Seeing an empty bank and dock towards the island side of the ship and nothing but open sea on the other, Sanji felt disturbed that he couldn’t find the cause. Checking the ship room-by-room, he verified that there was no threat.
Reluctantly heading back to his galley, he resumed his prep.
~ . ~ . ~
A scream was heard outside the galley. Sanji’s body stood straight in attention before running at full speed towards the sound.
Bursting through the door to the men’s bunkroom, he was met with chaos.
Usopp was hiding underneath his covers in his bunk. Chopper was hiding the wrong way (Sanji thought he’d fixed that) behind the door he’d opened to the bunkroom. Brook was screaming hysterically about a skeleton (he was looking in the mirror) with Franky also gazing at his reflection in confusion. A look of alarm was struck on Jinbei’s face and Luffy had stars in his eyes, leaping from corner to corner of the room, looking at everyone in wonder. Zoro stared in disapproval towards his captain, staying in a corner of the room and observing the situation with the same level of distaste that Sanji had.
“What the hell is going on here?” Sanji asked, mildly annoyed at having been pulled away from his task for this.
Nami and Robin appeared from behind him, confused expressions on their faces.
“Where the hell are we?” Nami murmured to the woman beside her.
“It appears to be a pirate ship.” Robin whispered back.
Sanji stared at everyone in disbelief, his heart stopping when multiple people in the room asked, “Who are you?”
