The elevator creaks as 8 Toons in total step inside,
Flutter, You, Shrimpo, Pebble, Sprout, Cosmo, Astro and Vee was what the team consisted of.
Sprout did not react well to Cosmo going down alone, he almost had a panic attack after hearing what was going on down there after the elevator left, you had heard he was practically clawed at the closed elevator shaft and tried to pry the door open so he could jump down onto the elevator, Goob and Vee managing to stop him from hurting himself, talk about Over protectiveness.
You are GLAD Glisten decided to skip this one out, you heard the last time be went down with Goob, Shrimpo, Scraps, Boxten, Finn and Shelly, he would NOT stop gloating about himself! You thank the lords above that you were resting from respawning that day, yep thats what you've all decided to call it, your pretty sure listening to him gloat would have been enough for you to throw yourself at the first twisted you see........which Shrimpo ACTUALLY did apparently!
Goob said he just ran up and body slammed a Twisted Boxten on Floor 7, who just happened to be by the door, and Shrimpo just laid there on top of it as he than proceeded to get ganged by Twisted Flutter and Boxten while the others escaped, Goob said the Twisted Boxten was ACTUALLY confused and stunned for a second, probabaly not used to prey just Body Slamming them out of nowhere like that.
........speaking of.....strangeness........
You had noticed the Main Toons seemed rather......nervous around Dandy.......
Vee showed slight agitation and aggression when looking at him.
Astro seemed almost scared of him.
Shelly seemed stressed, like she was stuck between believe one thing or another when looking at him.
Pebbles seemed.........scared.....worried even....
And Sprout.....well........like Vee he showed a tad bit of agitation.....
............They were hiding something.........but what could it be?
The Elevator Doors decend, the gears of the elevator turning and twisting as it moves down into the lower levels.
You all step out of the elevator, unsurprisingly Sprout and Cosmo stuck together followed by Flutter, Astro and Pebble leave together, leaving you, Shrimpo and Vee, not to bad of a match up, if any of them get into trouble you can just carry them to the nearest hiding spot.
The floor seemed to be one of the Rainbow Rooms, the one with the projector, you never really question WHY Gardenview had so many floors, OR why the floors seemed randomised each time, did they move around?
Your thoughts were interrupted by Shrimpos head banging on the Machine as a beep ran out through the room you were currently in, oh right that! Shrimpo insisted on doing a machine but he keeps missing Skill checks, if Pebble wasn't distracting the Twisteds this room would be filled with em by now.
"Do you.....need any help Shrimpo?" You ask him, and he just shoots you a look before shockingly responding.
".......yes....."
That response shocked you, Shrimpo HATED asking for help as much as hates everything else, seems he's warmed up to you.
"Alright uh, just uh.......follow my lead" You manage to utter out, walking over to the machine, Shrimpo moves aside as you place your hands on the machine. "It's one of those where you gotta take your time, if you notice the Wheel is starting to feel stiff and lets out a small ping, that means you have to spin it a bit slower, once it lets up you can spin normally again! Like this!" You demonstrate, the Machine lets out a small ping and you slow down your movements to make them more steady, after 2 spins you speed up again.
You stop extracting as you let Shrimpo back onto the Machine, he followed your instructions, slowed down at the Ping and completed the Skill Check.
"Thats it! Just keep doing that until the machine is full!" You cheer him on, which seemed to rub off a bit on his ego.
"Finally, some peace" You heard Vee whisper, you just roll your eyes and get back to your look out, you never know when the Twisteds might loose interest in Pebble.
You heard Vee finish her machine, and another being finished across the floor, good thats two down, seems Astro finished his. You still didn't know what toons would be on this floor, but you can take a guess that some dangerous ones will start to spawn soon, having reached floor 5 already.
What Twisteds did you say were on this floor again Vee?.....Vee?" You look over to find Vee has already left, that arrogant- Didn't Sprout say we had to stick together!? "That arrogant- 'sigh'"
"I swear she's gonna get killed one of these days.......again!" You groan, you hear Shrimpo complete his machine, in which he lets out a yell of victory, such a unusual yet funny guy.
"I DID IT!! IN YOUR FACE WORLD!!" He yells out, making you chuckle a bit.
It was only out of the corner of your eye when you noticed Scraps, you were going to wave hello when you remembered......Scraps never joined you all on the elevator.
"SHRIMPO GET DOWN!!! You yell out pushing him out of the way as an Ichor stained, mouthed tail suddenly lashes out at you, it's jaws digging into your arm before it retracts just as quickly, you grip your arm in pain, Shimpo stares up at you in shock. "Shrimpo! I need you to run! I'll distract it!"
Shrimpo was going to argue before you ran out and toward the Twisted Scraps, who seemed taken aback at your sudden advance, but that frown turned into a grin, like a feral cat finding exciting prey. Without warning it lunges at you, claws outstretched.
You manage to doge one flurry of claws at punch it square in the face, nearly sending it stumbling over, it snarled, ears arched back as it hissed at you. It jumps at you and tackles you to the ground, claws digging into your sides, tail arched upwards to bite you you, but you grabs it's head and head but it in the face before kicking it off you. The 2 of you get up, adreneline fueling your bodies as you circle each other.
A Twisted Boxten suddenly jumps your from behind, it's claws raking down your back and arms, in response your elbow it in the side of the head to get it off, seems Pebble lost the other Twisted. Seems this 2 way battle just became a 2 V 1, unfair but you're pretty sure you can handle it.
The Boxten gets up, a small dent in the side of it's box shaped head, it's face pulled into a feral snarl.
You were actually fighting for a about 2 minutes actually when Shrimpo suddenly runs out from a corner and hits Scraps over the head with a box, knocking it unconscious, and the Twisted Boxten runs off somewhere to recover itself from your bludgeoning.
"DAMN IT WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO PUT OTHERS FIRST!?" Shrimpo exclaimed angrily, grabbing you and hoisting you over his shoulder, wow he was surprisingly strong for his size.
"OI! I FOUND EM'! RIGHT WHERE I SAID THEY'D BE!" Shrimpo yells out as Sprout and Cosmo round the corner.
"GOOD GOD Y/N! WHAT HAPPENED!?" Cosmo exclaimed, rushing over.
"Fist fighting some Twisteds" You cough, wow, the adrenaline wearing off already?
"Damn it, Hold still I think I got some Cookies for you-"
"NO! No Cosmo! You're not putting your own health at risk for my sake!" You cough out.
"But your hurt!" Cosmo shoots back.
"it's ok Cosmo, I got them" Sprout reassures him, pulling a cupcake from god knows where and pretty much shoving it in your mouth. "Eat it or I'll force you"
Straightforward as ever it seems, classic Sprout, you begrudgingly chew and swallow the cupcake, while Sprout mutters to himself how reckless you are, you don't really know each other that well but you're still thankful he was willing to help you.......but you worry he may have just wasted a Cupcake on you when he could have used them to heal the others.
"...You didn't have to do that.." You says quietly.
"Yeah well you were hurt and needed some healing so....your welcome" Sprout sighed. "Come on, Astro should almost be done with the last machine, we should get going to the elevator"
You nod and stand up, the majority of your injuries have been healed, but you still had a could of bruises and scratches.
Reaching the elevator you hear the final machine ping with completion from across the floor and the elevator opened, red alarms blaring warning everyone they had 20 seconds to get back in before it left, you, Shrimpo, Sprout, and Cosmo step inside as Pebble and Astro round a corner, Peddle jumps in and Astro followed suit, mutter to him to take it easy, Pebble looked a bit scratched up, that explains how he lost the Twisteds he must have gotten hit and hid.
Flutter, followed by Vee enter not long after, right at the 5 second mark as the Elevator slams shut behind them.
"Whoa....What happened to Mx. Deadlift over there?" Vee says as her gaze shifts to you.
"Well, we just happened to get jumped by Twisteds after you LEFT Ms. Vee, thanks for that by the way" You snarled.
"Wait.....You mean the Pebble was Distracting, i thought they wandered off somewhere else after chasing me down" Vee says with a hint of shock.
"WHAT!? YOU LED THEM TO US!?" Shrimpo exclaimed.
"Now now I didn't say that! They just chased me after I exited the room, and when I lost them I thought they ran off some place else!" Vee defends herself.
"Vee you- 'Groooooaaaaaan'" Sprout lets out an exhausted groan. "Vee! You know Twisteds like Scraps and Boxten don't loose interest that easy! The only reason they left YOU alone would have been because they noticed someone else!"
You hated when Toons argued, it made you feel little bad.
Dandy's Shop had shown up, Dandy was about to call out to you all when he noticed Vee and Sprout arguing, so he decided to keep quiet. After a few more seconds he finally spoke up and broke the 2 up, distracting them with the current items he had, a Pop, some Chocolate and some Speed Candy, not a bad haul.
The door opened to reveal the next floor, a Diner Floor, however the moment you all stepped out the lights cut out, followed by the sound of heavy footsteps and growling, sending you into a frozen panic.
"......You've got to be kidding me....." Vee deadpans.
"WELL THEN! THATS INCONVENIANT!" Shrimpo explained, everyone hastily trying to shush him. "AS LONG WE'RE SUPER QUIET-"
"Shrimpo! For once, SHUT IT!" Vee exclaimed as loud barking suddenly erupted throughout the floor and the footsteps quicken before coming to an abrupt halt.
"........I think we're ok-" Sprout says before he suddenly has his head torn into by a Twisted Pebble, shaking him around like a chew toy as everyone else screamed in terror.
"OH MY GOD!" Vee exclaimed.
"RUN!! EVERY TOON FOR THEMSELF!!" Shrimpo yelled out, bolting for it, only to be jumped by an unknown Twisted the moment he entered the other room.
"WAIT!! DON'T SPLIT UP!! WE DON'T KNOW- AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!" Vee screams as she is suddenly pulled into the darkness by a Twisted Goob.
Well this was all going to hell!!
The Twisted Pebble soon set it's sights on you, you panicked and threw the first thing you could grab at it..........a Gumball......
It just stops for a moment in confusion while you just stand there with an awkward look, the Twisted Pebble then looks back at you, teeth bared, and within a single second it lunges for you're head before you can move.
".......Ah shi-"
