Nobody knows what happened, and nobody would ever know what happened at least for a very very long time.
All they knew was they were in an alternate universe within in their universe, it was exactly like uptop but everything was evil and out to eat you.
It was always dark, red lighting lit up the sky, tremors shook the earth, vines stretched across the land that seemed to alert the occupants of their presence.
So over the years or they think it's been years Buck has been writing a list of things, rules but not really rules.
Just thoughts.
Lets go over over it.
Number One: There was 140 men in easy company and 350 men in the 100th, after we fell in December 25th 1944 there was 43 survivors out of Easy Company, and only 29 for the 100th. Now we are down to 30 men in Easy Company and 25 for the 100th.
Number two: No we don't know were we are, we do know we are somehow back in America, and possibly in rural Illinois and or Indiana.
Number three: Don't leave the forest unless heavily armed, don't just don't.
Number four: Don't step on the vines or your dead.
Number five: We bury are dead, we don't burn them unless they've been taken over or there's nothing left to bury. Ralph has the only shovel, which he also uses for a weapon, so beware.
Number six: The only remaining plane is for medical and Smokey Gordon, Brady, Bill, Chuck, Shifty and Joe, Smokey is paralyzed, Brady, Bill, and Joe have lost a leg, Shifty broke his pelvis and Chuck was shot in the head by a drunken private.
Number seven: We don't bring up Jason Floyd Carver ever.
Number eight: Speirs will not hesitate to pull the trigger if you decide to mutiny like Carver did.
Number nine: Meatball isn't here, you aren't seeing him, I'm not sure what your seeing but it's not Meatball.
Number ten: Our biology has changed from whatevers in the air we are breathing in, Eugene has had a stillbirth a baby boy way back in the beginning of this hell, Lorraine had a miscarriage in the middle, Bill and Joe managed to have the only live birth in 1964 we believe, Eugene refused to give up on him because of the death of his own son. So please be safe when messing around, we can't take another heartbreak.
Number eleven: Bill and Joe's son G short for Eugene named after Eugene Roe, is turning twenty this year, and we are still frozen in time.
Number thirteen: We believe it's 1984 up top, since we think G was born in 1964.
Number fourteen: G stopped aging at eighteen, we don't know why either.
Number fifteen: The "sickness" is still a problem, so if your vomiting blood, having seizures, difficultly breathing, high fever, please stay away from everyone else. Because we can't help you, only your immune system can.
Number sixteen: G is immuned to the "sickness" which makes sense since he was conceived and born in here. Bill well pregnant with him had the "sickness" and survived.
Number seventeen: We aren't talking to Webster.
Number eighteen: Hambone is completely deaf now, nobody leave him alone please, if Douglass and or Murphy aren't near him please go stand with him.
Number nineteen: We move using the forests as cover because whatever is in the sky and on the ground has a difficult time moving fast through the trees.
Number twenty: Supply runs are every three weeks, just know you might not come back.
Number twenty one: Always trust your gut, it will save your life around here.
Number twenty two: Don't let it know your afraid, just keep fighting.
Number twenty three: The tremors happen every thirty minutes just brace yourself.
Number twenty four: Don't ask what it is, we aren't sure what just yet, but it makes itself look like loved ones, it feeds on your memories.
Number twenty five: Keep your mind blank, well as blank as you can.
Number twenty six: Buddy system people, very important nobody should be alone.
Number twenty seven: The bats are the most deadly, they'll rip you to shreds, once they taste your blood it's over.
Number twenty eight: We are aware that Nixon has a drinking problem, and medic Raphael is abusing morphine, there's nothing we can do for them unless they want help. But Dick is trying with Nixon, he tries everyday.
Number twenty nine: Bubbles is mute, he stopped talking after witnessing whatever happened to Babyface the day he died.
Number thirty: Curt is the organizer of things, it's what keeps him busy and not sleeping.
Number thirty one: Don't trust the smoke, once it burrows it's way into your skin, it kills you and takes over your body. That's what happened to Meehan and Moe.
Number thirty two: We don't know where Moe is, if you see him shoot him. It's not Moe anymore.
Number thirty three: We have a code word to know it's us, we change it everyday and its picked by all of us.
Number thirty four: Bucky likes Chef Boyardee, it's something new that popped up from uptop, strangely enough other than me, it helps him sleep at night.
Number thirty five: We all smell to high heaven Lieb, stop complaining.
Number thirty six: Blakely carries the case of water back to camp, he's the only one to do it without making noise
Number thirty seven: Puppy pile encouraged, heavily encouraged.
Number thirty eight: I can only cuddle Bucky, he's my comfort person.
Number thirty nine: We take turns accompanying Rosie to the library for research.
Number forty: We haven't given up hope, that maybe one day we'll be rescued from this hell. So don't give up.
