Chapter 1: Split & Splat
Chapter Text
It had been months since Callie had last spoken to her cousin Marie, the last time was on her podcast- Marie After Midnight. It wasn't even really a genuine conversation, most of it was scripted. Cod, she missed genuine conversations with people. Sometimes she wished she had never become famous at all, maybe it would have been better if she had just kept working at Walleye Warehouse.
She was just so lonely nowadays… which is why she had come to Octo Canyon, hoping to make some friends. The last time she had come to a place like this hadn't been too good an experience. Her grandpa, Captain Cuttlefish had been kidnapped and her, Marie, and this random kid they found on the streets had to come to rescue him. She didn't blame the octarians for kidnapping him, their leader, DJ Octavio, was a pretty crappy guy. Hopefully in Octo Canyon, however, she'd have a better experience.
Callie looked over the canyon, wondering where she should start looking for new friends. The octarians seemed to like staying in underground kettles, but it just felt weird going in unasked. So, instead, she walked to the nearest one and knocked on the lid gently. She waited for a moment, no response. She knocked again, no response. After a little bit of knocking and receiving no response, she finally decided to go inside. She pulled off the lid, then went into squid form and slipped through the grate.
Surprisingly, it wasn't too far down. Callie had never actually been in a kettle, she had just watched Agent 3- the kid she and Marie had picked up, in them from a camera in their armor. She landed on a small circular silver platform, she just sat there for a few moments, listening for any sign of life. It was relatively quiet, it seemed sort of eerie.
She stood in inkling form to look around. It was rather dark, not at all how she'd seen on cameras. All machines like moving platforms and squee-gs appeared to have come to a full stop.
She cautiously stepped forward, “Hello?” She called. Much like with knocking on the kettle, she received no response.
Callie just kept walking and looking around, trying to find any sign of life. She had a worry in the back of her mind that they weren't there because they hated her. That would make sense, honestly. She did kill tons of them through Agent 3. But still, if that were the case, there would be at least one going on a revenge mission.
She got through the kettle pretty fast without any major obstacles, but at the end, where there was usually a zapfish waiting for Agent 3, there was nothing. She reached her hand out above the pillar and suddenly felt something pulling her downwards. Not physically though, it was as if she were a hunk of metal being drawn to a magnet of some sort.
Chapter 2: Abandoned :,)
Chapter Text
Hi guys, I'm so so sorry if you were invested in this or something (which I doubt because it only had like one chapter I think?), but I've abandoned it sadly. I'm not as interested in splatoon or tadc anymore, and I wasn't really having fun writing it in the first place, so yeahhh :,)
Long story short, the hypnoshades from splatoon 2 send Callie to the amazing digital circus, she befriends the cast and swears in sea puns, which caine tries to ban but it ends up not working out due to a nautical adventure. Marie shoots the hypnoshades off like in the final battle of splatoon 2, which frees Callie from the circus, but she keeps coming back to visit her friends aaaand yeah :D That was the gist I had when I was writing but yeah I probably won't be touching it again.
