Summary
Dean Winchester learned to love the simple things in life, coffee in the morning, good food, putting his son to bed at night, the pie that they serve at the diner. Of course he learned to love them a little too late, he wasn't the same man he was before his deployment, now he prefers the quiet in the little town in Texas that he grew up in.
Castiel Novak is a shell of the man he used to be, broken and running from a past he can't deny, the blacked out tattoos on his skin are testament to that. After all the years he had pledged to The Outlaw life, he begs for change, so he travels to the only place he's ever known other than ruff riding.
After 13 years Castiel returns to Lawrence, only to find the man he was forced away from to be just as broken as him.
