Otto Hightower was feeling satisfied. He had made his move and sent his pawn to the battlefield. He had done everything he could to ensure that he would win this move, and had no doubt that he would not win.
However, he would not deny that there was a feeling of…disquiet. He felt agitated, at unease. But that might be anticipation, so he dismissed such thoughts.
As he heard the King uttering his choice of bride, he understood he should have paid more attention to those feelings.
